Overall, hotel was really good. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast was continental and dinner menus were mostly good that could allow you to eat something. Not great options everyday, but only 1 of 6 nights we had much difficulty, so it wasn't something I would complain. Location of the hotel was also superb, just in the middle of Quarteria, next to Bus terminal and taxi station.

The few issues we had were small, but rather daily issues. Bed was too firm and led us to have muscle aches each morning. Toilet papers were too thin, so much that it caused irritations often. Also for cleaning part, there were few areas of improvement in room and floor cleaning. Although common areas on the ground floor was spotless, rooms are arguably the most important part anyway.

The hotel is located right in front of the beach and the facilities are okay. Typical English breakfast and you can have lunch/Dinner as Buffet, but need to pay additional if you’re not full board. Food options for dinner was quite good. The room is comfortable and the gym has basic equipment for a good workout. The poolside can get quite busy and there is not so many sunbeds compared to the number of guests and if you wanna spend even a bit of time make sense to go there early. One thing I noticed was that the hotel is full older people families with kids. So don’t be surprised if you hear kids crying by the pool or at the dinner. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly and professional The subeds/beach umbrella by the beach costs extra (18-25 EUR). But you can just bring your own umbrella and lie down on the beach.

Sehr gutes Frühstück, auch das Abendessen vom Buffet war gut. Es gibt in der Umgebung zahlreiche Restaurants wo man aber auch gut und preiswert essen kann. Alles war sehr sauber. Eine schöne Bar mit Aussen Terrasse wo man etwas erhöht sitzt und einen tollen Blick aufs Meer hat.

Klimaanlage im Zimmer war so laut das man kaum schlafen konnte. Frühstück konnten aufgrund der Abreise nicht nutzen. Als Ersatz bekamen wir ein Lunchpaket mit. Der Inhalt war eine Frechheit.

We absolutely loved the views especially from the downstairs lounge area. The location is incredible. The gym was awesome and very nicely equipped. The beds were comfortable, linen was beautifully clean and ironed. The bathroom was spotless. Lovely thick towels.

The dinner buffet was very poor, not at all what we would expect from an establishment like this. Very cafe style buffet where we were expecting fresh beautiful seafood and typical holiday resort buffet food. We ended up eating out for the rest of our stay. The rooms were tiny which was also a bit sad, we had to stumble around our bags just to get to the loo. The staff were professional but could definitely have been more attentive, helpful and friendly. We were also surprised that the hotel charges its guests to use its cabanas by the sea. Surely it should be a benefit to the hotel guests and not an added expense? At that point we just felt a bit ripped off.

This was our second stay at this hotel and it was wonderful. The location is perfect, the hotel itself is very nice, the beach is calm, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Marcos at the lounge bar was wonderful! A true professional and a lovely person. Dario at the beach, who organized our beach chairs, was very helpful. Overall, this hotel offers a wonderful way for you to relax.

O hotel é muito bom , o pequeno almoço, almoço e o jantar tinham muita variedade de comida. O quarto onde fiquei tinha uma vista fabulosa, virada para o mar os funcionários eram muito simpáticos, para a minha primeira estadia, gostei muito do Hotel.

As funcionárias da limpeza demoravam muito tempo a ir ao quarto para fazer limpeza,.

The hotel was located on the beachfront and easily accessible to restaurants and bars on the main boulevard. The hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet was excellent

Pool beds were often insufficient and space was limited. Bottled drinking water was only provided on the first night of the stay and not replenished during the stay.

The hotel was very clean and right next to a lovely beach.The food was excellent and all the staff very friendly.My only complaint would be the space for sunbeds by the pool, we were packed in a small space like sardines in a tin, the neighbours were an arms length away. And it is for that reason we would not return.

El hotel está súper bien ubicado,en primerísima línea de playa y con el paseo marítimo peatonal justo delante. Las instalaciones son muy modernas,están bien decoradas y limpísimas. El desayuno es muy variado y la atención del personal buena.

La única pega que le pongo es que la piscina en algunos momentos se queda pequeña por la cantidad de gente. Además es una pena que no hay más que seis plazas de aparcamiento,por lo que toca buscar en la calle y tener suerte

The location — you really can’t beat it! The hotel itself is fresh, clean and chic, with lovely decor. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was absolutely lovely with a great selection. The pool looked over the beach, which was unreal!

Nothing really! If anything, just be aware that pool towels are €2 per day to rent. The sunbeds around the pool are also quite close together, but this didn’t really take away from our stay.

Breakfasts were wonderful a good amount of choice dining room overlooking the beach and some outdoor seating. The room was small but clean, comfortable and compact with everything I needed, the pool area seating is not sufficient for the amount of guests but with the beach across the walkway, it was not a problem. The location was superb.

I liked the location, the swimming pool, the breakfast my balcony overlooking the pool and beach and the security of a safe deposit box in the room.

Die Lage direkt am Strand ist wirklich super und auch die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Auch die Zimmer sind sauber und ordentlich. Betten sind bequem.

Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis passt leider überhaupt nicht. Wir haben pro Person für 4 Nächte über 700€ bezahlt für Halbpension. Getränke zum Abendbrot musste man allerdings noch extra zahlen, die hätten bei dem Preis wirklich noch drin sein können. Das Essen war zwar grundsätzlich nicht schlecht, von Gewürzen hat man aber anscheinend noch nicht viel gehört. Für Kinder war die Auswahl zum Abendbrot auch eher dürftig. Auch für die Liegen inkl. Schirm am Privatstrand musste man nochmals extra zahlen (25€ pro Tag mit großem Schirm, 17€ pro Tag mit kleinem Schirm). Die Zimmer sind nicht gerade sehr geräumig. Zwischen Bett und Tisch kommt man kaum durch und auch für 2 große Koffer ist kaum Platz. Das Klopapier war m. E. nur halblagig, da sollte doch bei dem Preis bessere Qualität drin sein. Anscheinend ist es in Portugal normal, dass jedes Zimmer eine eigene Klimaanlage hat. So hängt auf jedem Balkon eine „Wärmepumpe“, was es bei eingeschalteter Klimaanlage unmöglich macht, auf Grund der warmen Abluft und der Bauweise der Balkons, sich auf dem Balkon aufzuhalten. Zudem hängt das Gerät so tief, dass man sich schnell den Kopf stoßen kann, wenn man nicht aufpasst. Der Pool an sich war zwar ganz schön, aber man liegt wie in einer Sardinendose. Liege steht an Liege und wenn man nicht ganz früh da ist, hat man auch kaum noch eine Chance eine Liege zu ergattern.

El Hotel Dom José tiene una ubicación inmejorable, frente a la playa y sobre el paseo peatonal de la costa de Quarteira. Además, se encuentra a pocos pasos de la marina, desde donde parten las excursiones hacia las playas, las cuevas y Benagil. Es un hotel grande, pero al mismo tiempo conserva un ambiente acogedor. Las habitaciones son amplias y muy cómodas, y la atención de todo el personal fue excelente. El desayuno merece una mención especial: es muy variado, completo y abundante, con opciones para todos los gustos. También queremos destacar especialmente a Gabriel, del front desk, quien estuvo siempre dispuesto a brindarnos sugerencias y recomendaciones, ayudándonos a organizar nuestras actividades y haciéndonos sentir muy a gusto durante toda la estadía.

Solo porque es necesario señalar algún aspecto por mejorar, diría que puede resultar muy difícil encontrar estacionamiento en la zona durante los momentos de mayor demanda, especialmente cuando se viaja con un vehículo grande. Por otra parte, el bar del hotel cierra bastante temprano. Por las noches es difícil tomar un café o disfrutar de un trago dentro del establecimiento. Consideramos que un hotel de esta categoría debería contar con un servicio de bar más extendido. En términos generales, fue una experiencia muy positiva y es un hotel que elegiríamos nuevamente por su excelente ubicación, la comodidad de sus instalaciones y la amabilidad del personal.

We loved everything about Dom Jose Beach Hotel. The staff are so lovely especially the lady with the red lipstick at breakfast. Victor on reception was also very helpful. I stayed in a hotel close by last year and I said when I return I would stay in Dom Jose. I will return again and I cannot wait. It is so clean and breakfast is amazing.

What a place. Location fabulous right on the beach, welcome fantastic, sea view rooms wonderful. Prices reasonable. Service spot on. You couldn’t ask more if you need a place in Quarteria this is IT!

We’ve just spent a wonderful week at the Dom José Beach Hotel and had a really enjoyable stay. Our room was compact but lovely, with a beautiful view, and the hotel’s location is excellent. The beach is absolutely fantastic. We chose not to use the hotel’s paid sunbeds as they were quite expensive and set a little way back from the sea. Instead, we bought an umbrella, a couple of chairs and used our towels on the beach all week, which worked perfectly. The hotel is only a short walk away if you need anything. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice every day, and we really enjoyed every meal. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was spotless, with cleaners constantly working throughout the day to keep all the public areas immaculate. Room cleaning was generally good, although it was a little inconsistent on a couple of days. A special mention has to go to Marcus in the bar . He was outstanding. Whenever he was on duty, he was incredibly attentive, regularly taking our drinks orders at the table and making sure we were never without a drink. On the day he was off, we noticed the difference straight away as we didn’t receive any table service, which was a shame. He is a real credit to the hotel. We also really liked the resort itself. It may be a little quiet for some people, but that was exactly what we were looking for. There are some lovely bars, restaurants and little shops. Only downside is the pool area that is very small and overcrowded. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the hotel and the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing beach break.

Wie hatten ein wirklich großes Zimmer und es war wahnsinnig sauber!! Sowohl das Zimmer als auch das ganze Hotel. Toller Roomservice! Die Betten waren ein Traum, sehr bequem. Strand war direkt auf der anderen Seite der Promenade.

Das Essen hat uns nicht überzeugt. Jeden Tag das exakt gleiche Frühstück, ab dem dritten Tag konnten wir es nicht mehr sehen. Obst war teils Konservenobst und nicht frisch. Generell wenig Obstauswahl. Eine Sorte Scheibenkäse und ein Camembert, ansonsten nur Wurst. Kleine abgepackte Marmelade, nur zwei Sorten. Abendessen war auch nur solala. Bei der Masse geht die Qualität unter. Und wir sind an sich nicht sonderlich anspruchsvoll und keinesfalls Gourmets. Definitiv nichts für Vegetarier!!! Für einen kurzen Strandurlaub ist es völlig in Ordnung, wenn man mit einem recht vollen Strand zurecht kommt. Die Stadt bietet keine schöne Altstadt zum bummeln oder so. Nur klassische Touristenläden und Touristenrestaurants. Wussten wir, war für uns in Ordnung, da wir nicht sehr lange dort waren.

V hotelu bylo vše n vysoké úrovni. Je pravda, že snídaně se moc nelišily, ale to nám nevadilo. Pokoje byly čisté a personál prakticky bez chybky.

Hotelová restaurace/bar z pohledu personálu. Vícekrát se nám stalo, že jsme dojedli nebo dopili a chtěli si buď objednat nebo zaplatit a nikdo si nás nevšímal. Bohužel to nebylo v době kdy by restaurace byla plná. Vyřešili jsme to tím, že jsme platili ihned, ale divně se na nás dívali. Je to asi jediná chybka na ubytování.

Ótimo, como sempre. Quantidade e qualidade. Sou cliente do D. José Beach há vários anos, e nada me levou até hoje a equacionar mudar de alojamento. A localização junto à praia é excelente. Recomendo a quem quer fazer férias de praia.

Não posso dizer que não gostei de algo, pois estaria em contradição. Porém, tenho pena que não seja possível reservar garagem com antecedência, aliás assunto que foi tema de conversa afável que tive com o administrador Senhor João Soares.

This was our 3rd visit and our second since September last year. We arrived at 10.30 am and the rooms would not be ready until 3pm. however i had requested room 123 and the guy could see we had stayed before and our room was then ready by 11.30. Another great stay, staff excellent, we had Bed and breakfast, great choices in the restaurant. We can recommended this hotel very much.

This hotel is in a excellent location.the food is good (limited choice) but good selection of main and puddings .breakfast was good and enough choice.limited area to sit round pool so be prepared to pay for sunloungers on beach .service in dining room was excellent mina was exceptionally good .the bar service was not as good but got better as the week went on.will definitely go back to this hotel .the location sold it for us.
