Lovely hotel, friendly reception staff

Bar and waiting staff seemed unsure of what they were doing and a bit stressed the evening we dined. Late night sing-song outside our bedroom window likely post wedding. Felt senior staff should have asked them to move inside or quieten down

All the food was delicious, we enjoyed every meal and the staff especially friendly and helpful. We were disappointed with the bedroom - small & pokey, very warm and bed small. The bathroom was lovely

Stunning location & fabulous view from the bedroom. Very comfy rooms, immaculately clean. Staff all very friendly & helpful. Lovely meal in restaurant & great breakfast.

L'estimation de ce séjour est particulièrement difficile On va dire en résumé que c'est hôtel à un potentiel 10+ en raison d'une situation geographique excellente en bord de d'ocean atlantique dans une zone ayant une histoire avec un hôtel lui même ayant un historique interessant avec des chambres spacieuses confortables même si la vue n'est pas top pour toutes les chambres. Des pieces supposées de repos, de lecture. Une terrasse avec vue sur l'ocean. Le hic c'est ce que l'on a pas apprécié

Tout d'abord 3 restaurants avec une musique insupportable trop forte ressemblant à de la musique d'ascenseur. J'ai fait 2000 km en train et en voiture pour avoir la même musique que dans le centre commercial pas loin de chez moi. De plus il y avait le premier soir (le repas du soir) plus de bruit qu'à King cross ou Saint Pancras à Londres aux heures de pointes dans ces restaurants. C'etait insupportable, alors que la nourriture en elle-même etait bien. Le problème c'est que c'etait tous les soirs comme cela et pas sur une exception. Mais lorsque je suis allé dans la grande pièce ou l'on peut lire et se relaxer même topo musique forte. Même le matin à 8h !!! et lorsqu'on a demandé de mettre moins fort, cela a été fait mais 10 minutes plus tard quelqu'un est repassé pour mettre plus fort tout cela dans une pièce ou il est specifiquement inscrit à l'entrée que c'est une pièce de tranquillité. Nous allions à 7h30 pour déjeuner et parfois avec peu de monde on avait quand même cette musique. Je ne sais pas à quoi pensent les managers qui dans des tas d'endroits nous assourdissent avec de la musqiue nous empechant de savourer l'endroit mais dans ce cas précis vu le potentiel extraordinaire c'est affligeant. Peut etre que les gens ne font que passer et ne disent rien en pensant que cela doit être comme cela. Et bien non ...

Staff were very friendly, especially at the reception. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The restaurants are too loud, very unpleasant. The acoustic really needs to be reviewed.

Fabulous hotel in everyway I just wish we had a Seaview room

Breakfast was great, really nice setting and food was excellent. The spread of food for the buffet was lovely and wait service was also great. Our family room was so cosy and lovely with beautiful view of beach.. real nice touch was the kids packages of juice, crisps and colouring. As well as milk, cookies and chocolates. Our kids loved the hotel and play area on the 2nd floor. Walking distance to the beach.. staff were so friendly and inviting.. we enjoyed dinner at Johnny burkes and it was gorgeous. we will be back!

Die Lage direkt am Meer war sehr schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Zimmer war sehr gross und gemütlich. Das Abendessen war sehr köstlich und es hatte für jeden etwas passendes dabei. Die Aussicht auf das Meer wärend des essens hat das ganze perfekt gemacht. Das Frühstück war das beste auf unserer Reise durch Irland.

Die Steckdosen im Zimmer waren nicht für EU Stecker geeignet. Wichtig Reiseadapter mitnehmen.

Food and service in the Ocean Bistro was excellent. Most of the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our ocean view room had been tastefully refurbished, though some items were too big (round footstool, bedside lamps and tables) and left little space for our belongings.

The service in Aileen's restaurant was poor - we waited 50 minutes for our main courses. Larger groups seemed to be prioritised. The take away food service enabled non residents and children to use the chairs, picnic tables and grass area at the back of the hotel, leaving little room for guests to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The room safe was not fixed in position so it was not fit for purpose.

I visited this hotel after 10 years because I had wonderful memories of it. And it was even better than I remember. Everything was absolutely amazing, beautiful hotel and nature, great staff, amazing food. I look forward to coming back again.

We spent the evening in the Armada Hotel bar and had a really outstanding time. The old pub forms the foundations for the much newer and bigger hotel buildings. It's a cosy, intimate and very friendly place with lots of old-style charm and atmosphere. The menu had limited vegan/vegetarian choice - it could do with more options - but the food itself was delicious, well-cooked and generously-portioned. The music was excellent, Tony Benn performing gems from over the years, getting the pub singing and clapping and taking requests - it was like having a personal jukebox. The staff were friendly, had a great sense of humour and seemed to really want you to enjoy your experience at the pub. We'll definitely be going back.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had good variety, bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately we were in a family room with no view which was small. The room was extremely warm during the night, we opened the window and subsequently awaken during the early morning with kitchen staff talking outside and making noise. No communal area to sit and read, we had to go back to the bedroom. Poor selection of food in the restaurant, very good if you like fish otherwise not good. In comparison with other 4 star hotels I do not understand the Armada receiving this rating.

We were initially disappointed with the room we were given (#193). (Parking lot view, minimum sea view. it was not what we expected or hoped for. The hotel management handled it incredibly well. The next day, we were moved to a room with a total sea view, and was dramatically better - an unexpected upgrade that I felt they went above and beyond to make us happy and make things right. Our whole experience turned around and we were truly able to enjoy our stay. I really appreciate how seriously they took our complaint, and how generously they resolved it. The food and location are excellent. A great stay, and we would happily return, AND REQUEST ROOM 266

Well the cead míle fáilte is alive and kicking in the Armada! From check-in to check-out, what an experience. Gorgeous, comfortable room with seaviews. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff. Excellent food and service throughout our 3-night stay. Live music every night in Johnny Burkes pub with open fires and a friendly barman. Would highly recommend

No spa or hairdressers on site

Bedroom was very comfortable.

No residence lounge. Weather was so bad the only place to sit in was the bedroom. Music in the bar too loud. Impossible to talk.

My daughter’s wedding was fantastic on every level; spectacular setting, beautiful venue, food quality, service level etc. However, the loveliest aspect was the culture and values reflected in each member of staff. They are hardworking and genuinely committed to supporting each other in making sure guests are looked after. What an occasion!

As there was a wedding at the hotel and our bedroom was close to the celebrations we were offered an upgraded move across the road to Armada House. Excellent all round with friendly welcoming staff.

That we couldn't stay longer

The room was hot , we couldn’t turn down the heat , we had two noisy fans on during night . Quite noisy as playroom was outside door and guests didn’t adhere to curfew .

Ein schönes Hotel an wunderschöner Lage. Äusserst nettes Personal. Trotz Hochzeit im Hotel war es in unserem Zimmer ruhig.

Wir hatten eines der teuersten Zimmer gebucht. Unser Zimmer hatte nur 2 Steckdosen. Eine beim Bett und eine unter dem Pult bei der Kaffeemaschine. Zum Haarföhnen musste man unter das Pult kriechen, um vor dem Spiegel föhnen zu können und dann war das Kabel zu kurz dito beim Bett. Die Kaffeekapseln waren nicht mit der Kaffeemaschine kompatibel.

Just amazing!!! From we arrived, the view and location was a waow factor - we arrived and the lady at reception i have forgotten her name, but she works on reception & her husband is a bar manager in the main bar (2 great people) but may I say that each member of staff were top friendly, nothing was a bother, always smiling and there to help or get what was needed. The food all around was 10/10 a great breakfast selection & great choice of lunch/evening menu's and where to eat, beautiful atmosphere in Johnny burkes, such a unique little bar located in a hotel, cosy and homely. A stunning cafe at the side of hotel with lovely coffee & treats, everywhere from we walked into the hotel all the way through was so nice, clean & welcoming. A beautiful view over the sea from our room, we loved every moment of it & such a great weekend of weather we had. Thank you all and keep doing what your doing... All staff you are amazing 👏 ✨️

Just back from our friend's wedding at the Armada Hotel. The food was fabulous and the staff were professional and so friendly. The ceremony was outside on the lawn with magnificent views. We just stated one night but we'll be back as soon as possible for a longer stay.

Needs updating. No walk in shower. Sink stopper not working properly. Poor lighting in bathroom. Dust on mirror & pictures.Very noisy as room was directly above bottle & garbage disposal area

This hotel exceeded all our expectations. The interior is beautifully decorated and tastefully presented. The food was out of this world, we dined in Aileens that evening and enjoyed a spectacular breakfast with a sea view the following morning. The staff are the friendliest we have ever come across in any hotel we have stayed in, and genuinely friendly and helpful. The old man's bar was like stepping back in time and was cosy and welcoming. We cannot wait to return again!

Excellent food in the main restaurant overlooking the stunning views of the Atlantic. Ian was so helpful, friendly and efficient. Anthony "Locky" always has a warm welcome and smile. Such a fantastic worker too and watches that everything runs like clockwork. A real asset to the hotel. Could not fault a single thing regarding our visit. Can't wait to return

We had a great trip, it was very comfortable and overall happy with the stay.

The welcome poem from Heaney was a nice touch (and one of my favourites), however I noticed there were a few errors in the poem! I've attached a photo with same.

My wife and I went for a anniversary meal on sat 19th April. It was absolutely fantastic . The service was really good and Ian really looked after us well. All in all a great experience and full marks to all .

Four of us called in for dinner in the lovely bar area. They dont take reservations but could sit at the bar awaiting a few mins for a table. Lovely vaired menu. Shared a "small plate" of arancin - one each, delicious. Fish and Chips top notch and huge portion of top fresh mussels. All service was friendly and very efficent. Would run back

The hotel is in an amazing location with stunning scenery. We dined in both restaurants during our stay and were so impressed, the food and service were excellent. Cocktails were sublime. All staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and helpful. A lot of different tastes catered for at breakfast and a very generous buffet in terms of fruit, pastries, fry etc.

Temperature in the bedroom was on the warm side for us.
