Reviewed Jun 9, 2026Lovely village, hotel is well situated and very well set up. Room was exceptional, view of valley lovely. Pool, sauna and steam room modern, clean and well appointed. Desk staff were very professional, breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Dinners were very disappointing, no choice, cheap ingredients, slow staff. We were on a premium tour with Senior Discovery Tours and did not pay for reconstituted fruit salad as desert two days in a row, or a huge sausage with over processed mashed potatoes and sloppy spinach.

Reviewed Oct 8, 2025The hotel was very nice, in great condition, spotlessly clean and located next to everything Villars has to offer. The room was large also well equipped and spotlessly clean with beautiful views of the Rhone Valley and the Dents du Midi. The daily included breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of choices for everyone. Our only negative was that the hotel's only restaurant served only Chinese food, which seemed an odd choice for Switzerland. We only ate there on our first evening because we were tired and didn't want to go out exploring after arriving late. The food itself was not inspiring and the wait staff seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves that in serving their clients. At the end of the meal having seen no wait staff for over 5 minutes I was forced to go into the kitchen area to find our waitress in order to ask for the bill.

Restaurant Horizon: Service! Wir gingen auf Terrasse, mussten Getränkekarte selber mitnehmen, anschliessend kam niemand der nach einer Bestellung fragte, obwohl nur ein Gast an der Bar drinnen sass....!? Wir hatten das Zimmer Richtung Strasse, wo die Bahn nicht unüberhörbar war.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2025Our driver spent time in your hotel for couple of days. Everytime we are spending vacation in Villars-Sur-Ollon. We tried to go in your restaurant to have dinner (for the 1st time). Staffs are friendly, the guy in the reception is very nice and accommodated us. But we didn't go through because you didn't accept dog inside of the restaurant. We have a very friendly dog "Golden Retriever". All the restaurant we went in Villars-Sur-Ollon accepting dogs. I will not tell the name but all restaurants in your surroundings. I hope you can change it. You can have a table with animals 😊. For those customers has dog. Because dog is part of our family. And it's hard to leave the dog inside of the car while me and my family eating in the restaurant. And it's also will be good to your business. 😉

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025Das Frühstücksbüffet ist hervorragend und sehr appetitlich angerichtet. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt im Zentrum von Villars. Der Wellnessbereich ist sehr schön und bietet Saune, Bio-Sauna, Dampfbad, einen Pool und Anwendungen. Vom Pool hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf die Berge, ebenso wie von der Hotelterrasse.
Wer Zimmer bucht, die zur Stadtseite liegen, sollte wissen, dass morgens die Bahn direkt und unüberhörbar am Hotel vorbeifährt. Mich hat das nicht gestört, aber man sollte es bei einem längeren Aufenthalt berücksichtigen, wenn man gern bei offenem Fenster schläft.

Nous avons eu une chambre côté rue, très bruyante avec le passage des voitures, des trains. De plus, la chambre était plutôt petite et nous pensions franchement avoir une qualité supérieure pour le prix payé. Grande déception de notre part, si nous avions su que la chambre était aussi mal orientée, jamais nous n’aurions accepté ce type de chambre !

Reviewed Jul 10, 2025We had a small room at a discount, but the room was great and clean. The pool was very warm, which my 2.5 year old child enjoyed a lot.
There were a few issues (bed too soft, winter blankets in the middle of a heatwave, coffee capsules never replenished, spa working only after 15.00 and not every day), but the biggest issue was the breakfast. It was just bad! By the 4th day there, we stopped going to breakfast. Not enough variety, every day the same thing. The sausages were extremely poor quality. The scrambled eggs was powder-made, not fresh eggs, and had a ton of cheese which changed the taste a lot. There were never cups and glasses at breakfast, and they were not replenished. The juice (orange and apple) was very poor quality. Salami & cheese selection was OK, although you expect more variety. The breakfast was really bad, more like mountain-hut than a 4* breakfast.

Pas d'identité, tous les styles se mélangent (chinois, "pseudo feng-shui", traditionnel,...). Petit-déjeuner sommaire pour un établissement 4*, pas assez de personnel au restaurant. Espace spa d'apparence sympa, mais qualité laissant à désirer (remous ne fonctionnent pas et absence d'écoulement au lavabo principal...). Rapport qualité-prix décevant.

The walls are so thin that we could hear every word and shout from drunk tourists wandering the corridors at 3 AM—making it impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. Breakfast was another letdown: if you arrive even 30 minutes before the end, you risk finding empty trays and being told the kitchen is already closed, so nothing gets refilled. As vegetarians, we struggled to find anything suitable, and the food quality overall was quite low. We just wanted a quiet place to rest and a proper breakfast—unfortunately, neither was fully accomplished during our stay.

Our room was facing the street and we were somewhat distrurbed by the early trains comming into Villars just outside our room.

Очень рекомендую заглянуть на дневной суп к Tata Isa. Прекрасные завтраки в отеле. Не понимаю почему так много негатива о них. Всегда яичница, возможность сварить себе яйца, колбаски, рыба, три вида сыра. Мюсли и выпечка, апельсиновый фреш. А главное возможность встретить восход в альпах за чашкой кофе!
Из маленьких минусов: отсутствие холодильника в номере.
