It was right in the jungle and had a historical and environmental vibe

It’s quite old and not fresh. Needs a renovation especially bathrooms. The breakfast was not very good.

Equipe muito atenciosa, em especial o Akhill e Jenna, hotel muito bonito e bem cuidado, superou as nossas expectativas. Eu não estava muito otimista pois eu tinha escolhido um outro hotel que teve overbooking e nos indicaram o St Claude, no final o Hotel Chateau Sant Cloude era bem melhor do que eu tinha tentado reservar antes.

A localização, é um pouco mais afastada, mas ainda de muito fácial acesso de bicicleta.

La restauration n'est pas à la hauteur du complexe. Les petits déjeuners moyens, avec une légère amélioration par la suite. Un dîner sur place (curie créole) où j'ai été malade durant la nuit, je mettrai en doute la fraîcheur de la sauce!

Le château St cloud est très beau, un peu dans les hauteurs de l’île mais facilement accessible en vélo (possible de les louer directement sur place). La chambre tout en haut des escaliers nous a permis de vivre de magnifiques couchers de soleil.

La literie serait à revoir je pense (un peu trop mou à mon goût)

La piscine, très agréable et la location de vélos gérée directement par l'hôtel. Le personnel de l'hôtel à l'écoute et très aidant, notamment quand nous avons eu un souci d'insectes dans notre chambre. Je recommande de prendre une chambre supérieure plutôt qu'une chambre standard.

Nous étions dans un chambre standard (Kino) dans laquelle des insectes (type abeilles) rentrés par l'évacuation de la climatisation. Mais je dois souligner que le management de l'hôtel a été réactif : après avoir évoqué le sujet au manager de l'hôtel, ils ont aspergé la chambre d'insecticide, nous ont upgradé dans une chambre supérieure la dernière nuit (les nuits d'avant l'hôtel était complet) et nous ont offert la location des vélos ainsi que les boissons prises au restaurant. Merci à eux pour cette gestion!

I highly recommend the stay at Hotel St Cloud. I had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is amazing, beautiful pool, garden and room. What stood out the most, was the super friendly and helpful stuff that made our stay a unique experience, traveling a lot it is great to see that they put the customer first and make you feel welcome from the first moment. We will be back :)

We stayed at Chateau St. Cloud and overall, it was an okay experience. The hotel itself is fine, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the Wi-Fi was extremely poor, which is really unacceptable in 2026. We had already seen other reviews mention this issue, but nothing seems to have been done about it. The hotel also offers bike rentals, which is convenient, but strangely, you can pay by card for everything except the bikes. This is both odd and not very customer-friendly. Our biggest warning is about the restaurant, especially breakfast. The breakfast itself is okay but very basic. Only filter coffee and tea are included. On our first day, we ordered two cappuccinos and were told they would cost extra. We didn’t ask the price, not wanting to make a fuss, but the cappuccinos were really disappointing: too hot, with poor foam. We considered sending them back, but since they were made by a very shy young girl who barely spoke at the table, we let it go. When we checked out, we were shocked to find that the two cappuccinos cost 190 Seychelles Rupees (€11.84)! We have never paid that much for a cappuccino anywhere on La Digue. When we mentioned that it seemed excessive, there was hardly any reaction from the staff. In conclusion: if you plan to stay at this hotel, skip the restaurant or stick to what is included in the room rate.

Petit déjeuner varié, proposant un éventail de produits de qualité, frais et faits maison. Difficile de ne pas satisfaire ses papilles ! Notre hébergement situé au dessus de la piscine, très propre (entretien fait tous les jours), préparé avec beaucoup de soin et joliment fleuri ! 🤩 Repas locaux, faits maison, succulents. De plus, le personnel est charmant, aux petits soins, soucieux de satisfaire la clientèle.

Niestety śniadania kiepskie, ale najgorsze były karaluchy w pokoju na ostatniej nocy, niestety nie dało się skontaktować z recepcja ponieważ była nieczynna.

Hotel pięknie położony w lesie tropikalnym, domki/pokoje kaskadowo umiejscowione, basen, leżaki, miejsce idealnie sprzyjające odpoczynkowi. Bardzo czysto! Pokoje i łazienki duże i przestronne, bardzo smaczne kolacje a'la carte, pomocny i życzliwy personel, dbałość o wiele detali nawet wtedy, gdy nie ma pełnego obłożenia hotelu. Wypożyczalnia bardzo przyzwoitych rowerów na miejscu. Lokalizacja również bardzo dobra jeśli przemieszczamy się rowerami. Jestem bardzo zadowolona z pobytu w tym hotelu! Śniadania są dość skromne, materac na łóżku twardy i mało komfortowy.

À l'arrivée nous avons eu des difficultés de compréhension.

Stayed here before. The hotel has clearly been refurbished, so everything clean and in working order. Lovely staff, local mostly and very cheerful and happy. Pool is excellent. Overall I recommend this as a good place to stay and value for money. La Digue Island Lodge has, in my opinion, gone downhill recently. Although LDIL has a good location my view is Chateau St Cloud offers better value for money,

Sauberes großes Zimmer. Toller Pool. Mit dem Rad gut erreichbar. Wir waren mit Kleinkind unterwegs und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Unser Kind wollte Pancakes zum Frühstück, welche es am Abreisetag leider nicht gab. Wäre ok gewesen, es hat was anderes gefunden. Aber die freundliche Mitarbeiterin hat das mitbekommen und uns welche gebracht. Sollten wir wieder nach La Digue kommen buchen wir auf jeden Fall wieder diese Unterkunft.

Wir haben nichts auszusetzen.

The staff were very helpful, we liked the location, as well as the pool and the outdoor showers by it. We were able to choose the rental bikes ourselves and they were perfectly fine. I would definitely recommend this place — it offers great value for money.

I can’t point out anything negative — it’s a lovely hotel overall, and everything, including the beach and shops, is just a 5–10 minute bike ride away, which is very convenient.

Das Hotel versprüht einen kolonialen Charme und ist sehr detailreich und mit vielen Pflanzen angelegt. Die Zimmer sind sehr unterschiedlich verteilt - unsere bspw. waren am Berg oben und hatten vom Balkon aus eine wirklich tolle Aussicht über die Anlage und teilw. die Insel. Wir hatten schon öfters Fahrräder auf La Digue ausgeliehen und die teilw. sehr schlechte Qualität/Wartung kennen gelernt. Den hoteleigenen Fahrradverleih wollen wir deshalb hervorheben, da seine Räder in sehr gutem Zustand waren. Man lernt die Menschen immer am besten bei auftretenden Problemen kennen und deshalb möchten wir ganz besonders Jenna und Osman loben, die sich unseres Problems sehr intensiv und lösungsorientiert gewidmet haben und auch ständig über den Fortschritt auf dem Laufenden gehalten haben. Da wurde unsere Erwartungshaltung gar übertroffen.

Ein "Manager" ist bzgl. des Skilprofils für den Job absolut ungeeignet.

Tout a été parfait. Tres grande chambre au 1er etage (Nr 16) avec un tres agreable balcon avec mobilier chic local en bois avec vue piscine. Tres agréable personnel. Restaurant sur place. Les jardîns sont sont très bien entretenus. Tout y est pour se plaire

J’avais choisi cet hotel légèrement en retrait 700 m mais la végétation est magnifique. A la Digue, on fait tout à pied ou en vélo (location sur place).

Die schöne gepflegte Gartenanlage mit Pool in der ehemaligen Plantage ist wunderbar. Das Restaurant ist schön im Kolonialstil gestaltet und luftig. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Die Sitzmöbel auf dem Balkon sind so unbequem, dass man sich dort kaum aufhalten kann. Man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Fahrrad, da das Hotel weit vom Ort und dem Strand weg liegt. Dafür liegt es zentral auf der Insel.

L’hygiène moyenne, les flacons de savons vide, une seule petite serviette pour 2, le petit déjeuner avec très peu de choix sucré… l’accueil des propriétaires très impersonnel, qui a ce qui a rendu notre séjour, un peu froid et moins convivial que ce qu’on espérait

Circa 2 km weg vom Hafen und Zentrum steil in einem Palmenwald gelegen, dadurch sehr ruhig. ich hatte ein schönes, angenehmen ausgestattetes Zimmer.

Weit weg vom Hafen und nachts mit dem Fahrrad nur sehr gefährlich zu erreichen, weil die Straße schlecht ausgeleuchtet sind und es viele Schlaglöcher gibt. Das Frühstück hat einen vier Sterne Haus nicht entsprochen. Insgesamt war die Küche ein bisschen einfältig. Entgegen sonstigen Unterkünften hat mir eine kleine Küche gefehlt. Es gab einen Kühlschrank und einen Wasserkocher.

Heerlijk zwembad en super fijn personeel dat altijd bereid was te helpen. Speciaal Osman stond altijd voor ons klaar om dingen te regelen of vragen te beantwoorden. Dagelijks werden de handdoeken en lakens ververst.

De wifi is belabberd slecht. Viel heel vaak uit.

L’accueil . Je me suis plaint des moustiques, nous avons été à la plage nous avons été dans des restaurants, je n’ai pas été piqué juste à l’hôtel. J’ai constaté qu’il y avait de l’eau stagnante photo à l’appuie. Je l’ai fait remarquer, on m’a juste dit c’est la nature.

The staff were so attentive and personal. Rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy.

I wish the bicycle were complementary to hotel guests. There were no bidet or as we were Muslim guests.

Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti in questo albergo. Unico plus è la dimensione della camera e un bel giardino molto caratteristico. Personale gentile.

La prima notte abbiamo trovato le blatte giganti nella nostra camera e alcuni piccoli sulle pareti, così come anche sulle scale per raggiungerla. Non è stata una bella esperienza considerando il prezzo per notte richiesto, direi orrenda. Il personale ci ha assegnato una nuova camera dove questo problema non c’era e omaggiato la colazione, spiegando che è la stagione delle piogge e quindi non possono gestire questo problema…Detto ciò era la nostra terza tappa e in nessun altro albergo abbiamo trovato degli insetti in camera. Abbiamo apprezzato la gentilezza, ma ormai l’impressione era negativa. In generale non è una struttura tenuta bene da 3 stelle, il giardino è bello, ma il punto degli insetti è fuori controllo. Anche in piscina è pieno di zanzare e mosche, non è possibile rilassarsi. Il ristorante è passabile, la sera prezzi molto cari per qualità del cibo offerto, infatti era sempre vuoto. Wi-Fi nelle camera non funziona bene, molto debole.

Es ist etwas schwer, das Hotel ab der Fähre zu erreichen. Man muss ein Taxi nehmen. Ein Hotel-Shuttle wäre bei der Lage hilfreich.

Das Frühstück war ok und der kleine Pool auch. Ein Restaurant war auch zu Verfügung.

Der Angestellte um die 40 Jahre grosser Statur beim Empfang war von Anfang an sehr arrogant und hatte bei jeder Beschwerde von unserer Seite immer das letzte Wort. Kein Feingefühl und keine Art auf Gäste einzugehen. Fahrräder waren alt und die Gänge funktionierten nicht. Aber das war dem Angestellten auch egal, wichtig war ihm den Tagessatz der Räder zu kassieren sonst nichts anders. Die Matratze total durchgelegen. Als wir das mitteilten wurden uns von diesem unprofessionellem Angestellten ins Gesicht gelacht. Keine Art mit Menschen umzugehen. Die Matratze war so schlecht das es unmöglich war gerade zu liegen. Der Angestellte an der Rezeption meinte wieder: das Bett ist gut. So eine forsche Art ist uns noch niemals wiederfahren. Sehr schade das solche Menschen in der Gastronomie arbeiten! LG

We stayed in the chateau section and the room was huge and the bed was large and comfortable. The grounds were immaculate and so was the pool area, with lots of beds and shade. The men who helped us check in and worked at reception were very friendly and helpful. Bikes were okay, slightly more expensive but convenient and well maintained. Location is near shops and takeaways but not the beach - a bike is a must.

The chateau didn't have any outdoor space - I would rather have stayed in a smaller room with an outdoor area. The room.also had three!! sofas/ seating areas, but no dining area which was a bit strange. The pool bar charge a 15% service - we went to the bar, and all they did was open a beer and give it us. It isn't America, pay your staff instead of forcing tips for nothing. The restaurant staff seemed a bit confused when we asked to see a menu. Told us it was only buffet, which was very exoensive, so when we said we was going to leave they then said they would get us a menu. We left anyway, since they seemingly tried to make us have the overpriced buffet.

Das Zimmer „Kino“ war hervorragend, es lag ganz oben vom Berg und man hatte seine Ruhe, sowie einen perfekten Blick in die Grünanlage.

Der Aufstieg bei Dunkelheit zum Zimmer nahm Herausforderungen mit sich, da man viele Kakerlaken kreuzte. Das Mieten der Fahrräder war im Durchschnitt teurer als bei anderen Anbietern.

Size of the deluxe room, coffee machine and vegetation in garden

Breakfast is very poor with some vegetables are not fresh as they supposed to, most of the staff in kitchen area are not friendly, very poor facilities all over the place, the pool was dirty and I think if cleaned very rarely, the only think I saw is that worker that cleaned the chairs and tables near the pool, dipped a rag that he cleaned with, in pool water :( and then continued several times to do so, no wonder it was so dirty and why I never for whole 5 days saw anybody swim in it. we had baby and got Cot for baby, the mattress was disgusting old and with some strange rust stems on it, hope it had not bedbugs, the big mattress was also very old and the place between the mattress was disgusting and very dirty as it was never been cleaned before. the whole bed creaked from every move you do on the bed Definitely not 3 star hotel or even 2… :(

In erster Linie ist die Freundlichkeit und Kompetenz der Mitarbeiter zu nennen. Die Lage des Hotels ist super und mit dem Fahrrädern die man direkt im Hotel mieten kann , kommt man überall entspannt hin. Alles ist sauber und einladend. Auch das Essen im Hoteleigenen Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Sollten wir nachmalen nach La Digue kommen dann auf jeden Fall in das Chateau St Cloud.

La literie est de mauvaise qualité, si une personne bouge l’autre aussi. La nourriture est à éviter, que ça soit le petit déjeuner ou le repas du soir. Grosse déception.

The hotel grounds are very nice, the gardens are beautiful and extremely well maintained, it's really nice to walk through them. The location is good, about a 20-minute walk from the harbour where most restaurants and bars are and it's a good base to explore the other beaches and parts of the island. Cleanliness is a highlight, everything was spotless and perfectly clean every time. The shower was alright with hot water always available. The room had air-conditioning and a fan that worked very well all the time (essential given the constant hot temperature). The cocktails from the bar are great and always come with a beautiful flower and fruit decoration, which is a very nice touch.

Service overall wasn't great, it always felt like we were asking for too much. The staff didn't seem to be very happy to have us there, no one was exceptionally friendly or welcoming. I appreciate that internet infrastructure in the Seychelles is challenging but the WiFi doesn't work for anything beyond sending WhatsApp messages. Even checking some work emails with attachments was difficult as nothing would load. For some reason getting towels was a struggle, even though we were two people in the room, we kept getting only one set of towels, only once I managed to get a new set after contacting the reception. But always felt like we were asking for too much. The room lacks a bit of thought, there wasn't a single hook on the walls where you could hang towels or some clothing. When we arrived there were no hangers in the wardrobe but that was quickly resolved when we asked for some. Breakfast was overall disappointing but the omelette freshly made was good. Overall we were expecting a little more for the price paid.

L'authenticité du manoir, beau jardin, la chambres est spacieuse. Piscine très mignonne.

Je trouve vraiment dommage de proposer un seul choix de plat quand on prends la demi pension. Le petit déjeuner vraiment bof, le repas pas top. Personnellement j'ai trouvé les employés très peu aimable ( surtout au restaurant) Les vélos sont moins cher en prenant en ville qu'à l'hôtel.

Excellent accueil, bon emplacement vis à vis de la jetée

La partie de l’établissement située en hauteur est proche d’habitations dans lesquelles des poules crient la nuit. La direction de l’hôtel nous a changé de chambre sans aucun problème. Le petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet est bien mais peut-être enrichi ( viennoiseries et fruits plus nombreux en terme de choix par exemple)

Sehr schlechtes Frühstücksbuffet. Für umgerechnet ca. 20 € pro Person erwartet man mehr! Der Pool war dreckig. Abendessen haben wir nach der Erfahrung mit dem Frühstück gar nicht erst ausprobiert.

Территория очень красивая. Персонал приветливый. Сам номер просторный , кровать подушки- хорошо. В душевой кабине лейки нет, только потолочный душ. Еду в ресторане несут очень и очень долго. Мы ждали клаб сендвич около получаса. Света не было одним вечером , не долго, но было уже очень темно и непонятно к кому обращаться ,так как рецепшн в 18:00 уже закрыт. Брали напрокат велосипеды начиная со 2 октября 15:00 и отдали 4 октября 12:00- тоесть это ровно двое суток. Даже Меньше. Сутки стоит 150 рупий за велосипед. Два велосипеда -600 рупий. Но нам посчитали 700 , взяв по 200 рупий за пол дня ,якобы сделали еще скидку в 200 рупий. Не стала спорить, видимо пол дня считают как сутки. Но если вам принципиально и вы берете на большее количество дней ,лучше обсудите на берегу. Разрешают воспользоваться душем , который находится у бассейна. Так как чек аут в 10, а до парома еще можно успеть съездить на пляж. Такси до порта -200 рупий.

Eine Oase im Tropenwald

Veel groter dan verwacht. Wij kregen een kamer upgrade wat erg aangenaam was. Het is een goed hotel.

Het klantencontact en de service was erg oppervlakkig. Bedden waren hard en vooral statisch.

Sehr schöne Lage mit einem wundervollen Garten der in den Regenwald den Hang hoch über geht. Zimmer waren gut und alles sehr ordentlich

Das Internet in unseren Zimmern war leider ein wenig instabil. Wegen der vielen Takeaways machte es leider keinen Sinn ein Frühstück für 300/pP zu genießen.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals am Empfang war überwältigend, sogar individuelle Wünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Alle Strände gut per Rad vom Hotel aus erreichbar.

Das Bedienpersonal während des Frühstückes wirkte wenig ambitioniert, gelangweilt und genervt. Das Gehege der Schildkröten lässt den Tieren kaum Raum für Bewegung.

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön am Fuß der Berge. Die Gebäude des Hotels sind angeordnet um einen wunderschönen tropischen Garten mit tollen Palmen und blühenden Sträuchern. Unser sehr geräumiges Zimmer hatte einen großen Balkon mit Blick auf den Pool und das Restaurant. Die Klimaanlage und der Ventilator haben sehr gut funktioniert. Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben 9 Nächte im Château St Cloud übernachtet und es ist uns während dieser Zeit ans Herz gewachsen. Die vom Hotel mietbaren Fahrräder waren in sehr gutem Zustand und als ich einen platten Reifen hatte, wurde das Fahrrad unkompliziert und sofort getauscht. Frühstück und Abendessen waren gut.

Das W-Lan hat nicht besonders gut funktioniert.

A little paradise in La Digue, the whole place is amazing with beautiful garden, restaurant, pool, turtles and spacious rooms. The staff was really friendly and helpful, we were on our honeymoon and they were extremely nice with us during our stay:)

Even though I raised in advance that I am vegan, I barely found anything to eat. They were not too prepared. They promised 3x times that they would prepare milk-free and egg-free bread for us (real bread anyways is only made of flour, water, salt and some sourdough...), but it never happened. So eating was quite boring here. I could only eat fruits mostly. So if you have allergies or you are vegan, better prepare with some food for yourself.

The reception team Terry,Tes and Manilka were so helpful and nice.They helped us with everything. The front of house team Elisabeth, Vanessa and Thessa were lovely any the service was excellent. The food was very tasty and I love the house cocktail.The bicycles were helfpul to check out the Island and they were in a very good state.The rooms are spacious and we loved the balcony.The area was cleaned all the time and looked after.Thank you to the whole team forbmaking our stay so wonderful

Clean, tidy, super friendly staff! I accidentally forgot my shirts in the hotel room and the hotel staff arranged for them to brought to my next hotel on Praslin at no extra charge, thank you so much again, customer service at it’s very best!

Great location in the middle of the island; the property is beautiful: so exotic and you can see they take a lot of care of the garden; rooms were spacious & clean; friendly staff - we got welcomed with cookie & ice tea and they made sure our room is ready as soon as possible - they arranged cleaning while we waited- that was great; breakfast was really good for Seychelles standards- omlettes, pancakes, fruits etc, so worth getting it; we also rent bikes at the hotel - they were a bit old but ok - you dont need more that city bike for la Dingue; we had great time and would come back

Great staff. Really made the stay! The size of the rooms and the fact you had an area to sit and relax outside. The pool was fantastic. The hotel offered bike rental, they weren’t the best bikes but they did the job. Was very pleased with our stay! Would recommend to anyone.

The food was lovely however I feel like more could have been offered especially for breakfast.

Old bikes, rent elsewhere Slow WiFi As a solo traveller, I felt it was too isolated - both location and environment

Very nice and helpful stuff. Helped us organized a lot of things like snorkelling trip, bikes, taxi. They were always happy to help. Breakfast was very good and omlettes prepared by Natan really delicious. Room was big and clean. A lot of plants in the garden that helped relax. Mena was the best :) She helped us with a lot of things before our wedding ceremony. Realky recommend the place.

The architecture is lovely, very esthetic, room was spacious, clean, the small veranda with the seating setup is really nice.

The customer service level is lacking the skills, very poor, out of all the staff, only 2 ladies were helpful and nice.

Very spacious room, friendly employees and beautiful hotel space. Special thanks to cleaning ladies, I think I have never experienced every day cleaning of everything in the hotel room before, and we travel a lot. We would stay there again!

We got a bit sad when we saw someone got happy honeymoon table for breakfast, but not us (we were on the honeymoon too). Bikes for rent are a bit too rusty compared to other bikes we saw, but you don't have to rent there, we were just lazy.

A stunning place in the middle of La Digua. Location was perfect! Also everything is easily accessible because of in-bike rental (fee, not that expensive, bikes were also in acceptable condition, but it is good to test them beforehand. Also a possibility to exchange the bike if you're not satisfied with one without any extra fees). About object itself - amazing location with a huge garden and a lot of stunning plants around, brilliant swimming pool with warm water 💦 and great drinks in the bar. Beautiful rooms and entire hotel facility - no issues with bugs. It was exceptionally clean everywhere! Easy check-in and check-out, possibility to book a taxi drive from/to ferry port (fee as well), wonderful service . It was a huge pleasure to stay here for few days on La Digua. Absolutely recommended!!! 😍

One disadvantage was the food, it wasn't that tasty, but it is also understandable as it is more difficult with it on islands there. (And it was not as a buffet, but menu which gives you less options). Big disadvantage is quite expensive water bottle at the dinning time.

Beautiful room with excellent facilities and lovely balcony. Very friendly and obliging staff.

Nice hotel, with a rich history. Breakfast was excellent. Diner was good , 4 courses will get your belly full. Rooms are clean and spacious. Pool is nice. Friendly staff.

Bikes are good, but a little rusty. We changed bikes, when faulty. Music at the diner could use some variation. Earplugs for light sleepers are recommended, the jungle and farms are closeby.

The hotel was set in one of the most amazing area on the island. Terry and Liz were very helpful and made us feel at home. The setting of the individual rooms is great, with all unique settings.
