Tout était bien

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und liebevoll zubereitet, es gab jeden Tag zusätzlich zum Standard wie Omelette,Toast und Früchte eine Überraschung wie den selbstgemachten Bananenkuchen! Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Die Unterkunft wurde jeden Tag geputzt und mit frischen Handtüchern ausgestattet ! Dadurch dass wir Fahrräder hatten und man die auf La Digue sowieso braucht hat es uns nicht gestört dass wir nicht In Strandnähe gewohnt haben. Das Highlight war für uns der Strand Petite Anse und der war vom Bernique Guesthouse sehr praktisch zu erreichen!

Guest house si trova all'interno, nella semigiungla, immerso nel verde e lontano dalla confusione e dalla ressa. Ben curato. Camera e bagni spaziosi. Nel bagno c'era anche il bidet. Colazione ECCEZIONALE, TANTA FRUTTA, PANE TOSTATO, MARMELLATA, TORTA, omelettes, CAFFÈ E SUCCO DI FRUTTA tutto servito al tavolo velocemente e gentilmente. La padrona è mto gentile, ci ha suggerito la guida bravissima GERARD x andare ad Anse Marron e prestato le scarpe x l'acqua. Ci ha scontato le bici. Tutto ok.

La doccia era senza vetro quindi si schizzava fuori l'acqua e il tappetino non bastava per asciugare. Illuminazione così così.

Mein Mann und ich waren Mitte März 6 Nächte im Bernique. Wir schließen uns sehr gerne den sehr guten Bewertungen bezüglich Ausstattung, Komfort, Lage, Sauberkeit unseres Raumes und Frühstücksservice an. Diesbezüglich fühlten wir uns sehr wohl.

Ein für uns sehr wichtiger Kritikpunkt, weswegen wir unseren Aufenthalt in der Gesamtbewertung nur als passabel bewerten konnten: Das kleine Schildkrötenbecken, in dem 2 Riesenschildkröten dahinvegetieren, stinkt unerträglich. Dieses Becken, das direkt neben der Frühstücksterasse liegt, hat keinen für uns sichtbaren Ablauf, sodass die Ausscheidungen zu einer Jauche werden. Die Tiere müssen ihr Futter(Zweige mit Blättern, Brotreste und Obstschalen) aus dieser schäumenden Jauche fischen. Dies ist in unseren Augen Tierquälerei !! Die Managerin erklärte uns, der Inhalt des Beckens wäre Matsch, den die Schildkröten lieben. Der leere Trinkwassertopf müsse nur gefüllt werden. Bei erneutem Hinweis bei unserer Abreise war diese Dame weiterhin uneinsichtig. Ein junger Mitarbeiter, der dazu kam, versicherte uns jedoch, dass sie an diesem Problem etwas ändern müssten. Daher nochmal unsere dringende Bitte an das Guesthouse: Falls noch nicht geschehen, ändern Sie bitte die schlimmen Lebensbedingungen dieser wunderbaren Tiere! Unsere Bitte an kommende Gäste: Bitte habt Mut, Kritik zu äußern, falls keine Besserung eingetreten ist.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Bernique Guest House auf La Digue und haben uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und ein perfekter Start in den Tag. Die Lage ist sehr gut und ideal, um La Digue zu erkunden. Die Einrichtung ist landestypisch und mehr als ausreichend, wodurch das Guest House einen authentischen und gemütlichen Charme hat. La Digue ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert und das Bernique Guest House können wir dafür uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Anna-Rose,Sylvania,Mary-Lisa and Isabel are all dedicated to achieving outstanding results.Hire a bicycle from this guesthouse and explore La Digue.Fantastic breakfast.I can recommend Rey and Josh takeaway nearby where Chef Rocky does a fabulous job of Creole cooking.

Everything fantastic

The property is a nice little place ( vintage ) a bit too far away from the main beaches but good breakfast & there’s a grocery store right opposite.

I felt it’s a bit overpriced for what you get , aircon wasn’t working too well & it’s very dark the rooms. Also bathrooms are a bit old & interiors are from the 90s

The Ladies owners are amazing hosts, super kind and helpful. Deicious breakfast. Good location. Perfect accommodation!

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, mit Früchten, Eier, Toast... Mit den Fahrrädern ist man rasch überall, deshalb ist die ruhige Lage, etwas weg vom Strand, sehr empfehlenswert. Zwei Mini-Märkte in 20 Meter Entfernung, plus zwei Take-Aways in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Das Frühstück, es war inbegriffen und ok Die Lage, sehr ruhig dort Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Die Appartments sind schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen, definitiv Renovierungsbedürftig. Die Fenster sind nicht dicht, es können kleine Tiere bzw. Insekten reinkommen. Die Beleuchtung ist sehr schlecht. Für den Preis ist die Leistung nicht gut genug.

Couple of strong selling points for this accommodation! The staff with the ladies were exceptional - always friendly, always willing to help, on our last day which unfortunately had a rainstorm, they came and gave me an umbrella as I had to walk to the ferry to get our tickets. Then the breakfast - really rich and diverse breakfast with a lot of fresh fruits, pastries, eggs and what not. Then the location was both a blessing and a curse - tucked away inside the island made it for a very quiet and laid back, but then some of the beaches were a bit further away. However, the location lets you rent bikes easily and at a convenient price to reach them

The bed was definitely uncomfortable at least for us - bit tough mattress, very soft pillows. The room overall was also a bit outdated - old and squeaky furniture, bathroom had only static above showerhead and no handheld showerhead. And as other people have shared a bit dark with not enough light both from lamps and outside. Still value for money I think it is a very good pick!

Die Zimmer sind groß und haben viel Stauraum in den Schränken. Auch das Bad ist großzügig geschnitten. Jedes Zimmer hat eine kleine Terrasse mit Tisch und Liegestühlen. Auf der überdachten Gemeinschaftsterrasse wird das Frühstück serviert. Es gibt einen tollen Obstteller, Toast, Butter, Käse, Marmelade und Omelette oder Spiegelei, Saft, Tee oder Kaffee und Kuchen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett. Die Unterkunft ist fussläufig vom Hafen aus gut zu erreichen und liegt sehr ruhig. In der Nähe gibt es einige Takeaways und Supermärkte.

For us there were too less light intesity, but for others can be good because of hot during the day.

The location is great, a good one take away is 1 minute walk, breakfast was delicious, the staff was friendly. You can rent a bike from them to explore an island

The room was surrounded by trees and bushes, it was not hot inside, but it was dark, the lights are dim. It will be great to add more light in the bedroom and bathroom.

The staff were ever so friendly and very polite. The best Guest house on La Digue. I really appreciate their friendly nature. Always smiling and always being helpful. The apartments are so clean and the bed very comfortable. I will definitely use Bernique guest house again. Overall score 10/10

Good breakfast, nice people, nice setup, room was fine and bed really comfy. Situation is quite OK, not the best in La Digue but everything is so close this is not a problem!

No towels for the beach (also true we didn't ask for those) No possibility to pay by credit card unfortunately.

The best is Sylviania's fresh,home made breakfast.So so delicious! Location is 5min with bike from the port. Peacfull place.. Very clean..

Bernique Guesthouse is a nice and tranquil place to enjoy La Digue. It's just a 15-minute walk from the ferry port. The rooms are spacious, the mattresses comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. The staff is very helpful.

The room details mentioned a washing machine, mosquito net, and hairdryer among the facilities. Unfortunately, this was not accurate. It was quite disappointing as having a washing machine was one of the reasons we chose this guesthouse. While they do offer a laundry service, it is quite expensive. Additionally, there is a document in the room explaining the access to shower facilities on the last day. They will allow you to use a room if one is available; otherwise, they provide an outdoor shower.

Air conditioning worked well! If you walk up from the ferry, you absolutely want the air conditioning. Good breakfast. Location was close to a little shop to buy drinks and snacks. Adequate, kind of dated furnishings. 2 big comfortable beds that filled the entire room, not much space for luggage, clothes rack

Breakfast were great!! Fresh fruits and pancakes <3 People working there were kind and dedicated. The room was nice and clean with some space outside covered from the rain.

The bike rental is a joke. the bike are old and broken. I had to repare it myself in order to use it. The price for those ruins is damn too high. In the end they forget to facture the rental and chased the money, they were very persistent about it even tho we agreed on a way of payment :/.

- refrigerator was kinda old and not in a good condition anymore - bikes available for rent were not particularly well-maintained - breakfast a little too early (8-9 AM)

The room was clean and breakfast was good. But above all I have been impressed by the helping ladies! My son forgot his phone in the rental car on Praslin and thy arranged everything to get it back the next day - wow!!! Many thanks, you are outstanding 🙏🏼

The room is exactly the same as on the photos. Not bad, but not good. Very good location, nice host, good breakfast, clean rooms but quite old. If you spend most of the time outside - this is a nice place to stay.

It was fantastic! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. It is perfectly located and you can rent bikes there making it quite easy to not plan.

staff was excellent! my wife fell down and had little injury , the lady at reception helped us going beyond her capacity. also she offered us cooking in kitchen as we are vegetarian. great assistance!

Sylvania and Isabel were very helpful before and during our stay. They breakfast was excellent! The rooms were spacious and clean.

It is a 15 minute walk from La Passe (beach + restaurants) along unpaved and unlit roads.

Clean and spacious room

The staff is lovely, hardworking and pleasant to be around, trying their best to make you feel comfortable. They have regular room cleaning and fresh breakfast every morning! The ladies bake delicious banana bread and other cakes, great omelette and eggs! You can reach the guesthouse by foot from cat coco ferry.

The room is underwhelming, especially for the price. It’s not the best deal for your buck. We were 3 adult guests and we got an extra children’s bed for the full price (180€\per night). The smallest of us got the bed and with my average hight of 175cm I needed some imagination to fit on it. The old fridge is loud and you have to turn it off during the night to sleep. It’s just not a pleasant place to stay at the room. This would be tops 50€/night/3guests worthy room. Thus the discrepancy between 180 vs 50 per night speaks of the reason for our dissatisfaction.

Located near the jetty( just a 15 minutes walk or even less by bicycle) the establishment is surrounded by the island’s nature with is incredible soothing as all you hear are sounds from the jungle surrounding the place.The guesthouse is dreamy! the courtyard and the breakfast area are as if you were in a novel . the rooms simple but well taken care of and cute, with basic facilities for coffee and tea, a refrigerator to keep your things cool , A/C and ceiling fan so you can never get hot. outside of the room you have a small porch to relax and enjoy thecserenity of this place.

The only thing that we found a bit off were the bicycles that were for rent on the premises. Most of them were worn down and rusty due to the humidity of the are.
