The area and coffee making facilities
The bathroom having to climb in to the bath for a shower was not a great experience
Bedding was good quality
Young girl on the front desk quite blunt and not welcoming at all found her quote rude if I’m honest rest of staff very friendly. Mattress was quite hard would say they need updating.
The room was spacious and clean, bed was made really well and the towels were big and fluffy. Breakfast was a buffet, which is always a bonus, and the food was nicely cooked, with plenty of choice for everyone. The hotel seems popular with coach parties so breakfast can either be quiet or exceptionally busy at the drop of a hat.
Bed, I found to be a little uncomfortable, but that is somewhat subjective to personal tastes. There is a distinct lack of plugs near the bedside table, and had to pull the bed out to unplug a lamp to get one. When I book accommodation I always make sure there is a pool as I like a swim after driving. It is not made clear that the last entry to the pool on a Sunday is 4.30 with the pool closing at 5pm. Check in from 3pm, and no warning the pool closes early (compared to everywhere else I have stayed) left me feeling quite disappointed. I think, next time I will have to try the Holiday Inn up the road where the facilities stay open to a reasonable time.
Pool, fair prices in bar and for food.
Under 8 year old children in jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
Spacious common areas and bedrooms the same. Starbucks in reception, handy. Great staff on duty at 10pm. Promptly given our key card, car registered and requested quiet room given obligingly. All staff friendly.
Could do with an upgrade. No coffee in the room, just breakfast tea. Breakfast good, but don’t be fooled by the coffee machine!
Good
Easy going clean comfortable , hot rod in the car park !
No negatives
Didn't have breakfast.
Bed was fine the shower was not great you should fit a pump or power shower
I prove the shower there for a private party your 2 guys behind the bar did very well
The lobby very well decorated and good restaurants
Nothing
Friendly staff, nice size room.
Decor a little dated and the unavailability of any air con in rooms during the heatwave.
Room, food, staff, service was excellent. Position from motorway first class.
damaged shower, coming away from wall {reported} Disabled parking spaces too far away from front door, in a very muddy, slippery area under trees. Car covered in bird lime and dead leaves
I walked in and left and found another hotel, it was filthy and disgusting.
Nothing
Pool was good for the kids
Staff at the property were rude and insulting .
Wszystko.
Pijani goście hotelowi, głośne rozmowy, trzaskanie drzwiami w nocy.
Location to where I needed to be.
£5 to go for a swim when having paid £120 for the hotel! Very loud music outside and inside the hotel, no WiFi working so couldn't do any work while in the hotel and travelling for business so not good.. spoke to reception and they were unbothered by this, didn't try the restaurant as was told by reception they had 2 coach loads of people in so not to bother, but could eat in the bar.. that was very over priced so again didn't bother and found a local carvery for £12.. breakfast freezing cold.. 3 times put a slice of toast in the toaster.. still bread .. gave up! Hate writing poor reviews so takes a lot to do so!
Brilliant
Nothing
Excellent quality all round
air conditioning
Large hotel, plenty of space in main lounge and bar area. Use of swimming pool and jacuzzi is a plus, also gym is pretty well kept. Breakfast is very nice with plenty of choice and good coffee !
Nothing really
Very unclean hotel room. Carpets stank and dust everywhere
Lovely staff very friendly. Accommodation was spotless and lovely. Food was really nice. Good chef.
No drop kerb or ramp for wheelchairs. Have to use the road.
Breakfast was great . Staff was very polite and helpful
Pool table was out of order. Changing rooms and showers felt out dated
Nice big room, very comfortable bed
Location and service
We come here regularly never had any problems but this time the beds were bad , mattress were horrible , sounds when sleeping from the bed and mattress We got given a room which was already given to someone else
Beds were noisy when moving and the flush was not working
Fridge in room, nice swimming pool very comfortable room. Free parking. Chinese takeaway very close 👌
Paying for swimming pool!!
Great location, parking on site and rooms of a good size.
Looked slightly worn in the bathroom and leisure/spa
Staff were friendly and helpful. Big room with handy fridge and free water. Gowns and disposable slippers Windows that open. 2 fans. Plenty of storage handy bar and restaurant. Swimming pool only £4 each, although did not use. Free parking.
Tired bathroom and odd set up with carpeted sink area - yuk. We had food from bar area. Sandwiches fab but hot food very disappointing Luke warm chips and fish fingers. Not badly priced though.
No need breakfast bed ok
improve the mattress needed
Very spacious rooms and a massive television
On arrival I was in the middle of two coach trips and the manager/ woman on reception with red hair had a absolutely stinking attitude towards me because I would not let her serve everyone off the bus first, I tried to explain to her I had driven 3 hours with 2 young children . It was not acceptable, I also seen her talk down to a few members of staff at our stay
Rooms had 2 double beds and plenty of room Good size towels and bath products We are dinner which was good and bar staff friendly
Had booked breakfast which we had to get a refund due to a large coach party taking all tables.. We didn't have time to wait unfortunately. Wasn't advised on arrival regarding breakfast being very busy Coffee machine in bedroom was leaking water and dangerous. Unable to use it Rooms are a bit dated. Could di with a refresh and better mattress as not that comfortable sleepi Dining area in bar lots of low tables that are unstable to eat from .
Hotel
The evening meal was a bit limited and bland
Relaxed and comfortable stay
Bar and Dining
Hotel looks old fashioned.
The hotel and rooms need some renovations. Hotel was probably very nice in the past. We didn’t like to pay for GYM and pool area extra.
Close enough to motorway so easy to find. Nice pool
The men’s toilet was flooded and myself And 3 others mentioned it and nothing safety wise done or it wasn’t closed for over a hour. The flush in the room also poor had to do at least twice to flush.
Location, rooms are very spacious and facilities
The cheese burger
Two double beds Which was great in hot weather
No air conditioning in the room , bathroom and toilet very old and very small needs updating. Swimming pool we couldn’t use as people in fully dressed! Why
Quiet and convenient location, with nice grounds. The grand foyer and surrounding areas inside are really nice.
No sockets near the bed is very unusual. I don’t know if it would be allowed under H&S but an extension cable from under the bed would’ve solved the problem. Water temperature in the shower was a little consistent (it was a bath with a shower mixer). It became very warm and humid in the room in the morning (we were grateful for the tower fan that had been left in the room) and the bathroom is a bit tired.
Swimming pool facility
Children's tea menu wasn't listed. Discovered by overhearing another person asking staff member
The hotel was lovely was lovely and spacious
The beds could have been a bit comfier
Leisure facilities onsite. Bar and good breakfast. Good location. Large room. Coffee machine and pods. Mini fridge.
No lift, no air con, noisy room even though asked for quiet. Bed uncomfortable and room was not clean. Sink also did not drain. Stood in shower and curtain sticks to you as it is so narrow. Nowhere to hang towels.
Large rooms
We arrived at 2.35 and wore told if we wanted to check in before 3 we would have to pay £5 I thought this was unnecessary and after you have traveled 2.5 hours I thought it was a bit miserable.
Good location for my needs, lovely friendly staff
Seems like breakfast was not prepared well for stayers, people had to keep asking for missing items, like milk and bread. Food was nice but very basic. One pillow and one chair per person is really not enough in the rooms. The rooms are a bit dated and could do with a deep clean. We are at the bar, food was 5/10 but reasonable price. Nice man playing piano in reception, gave it a Not somewhere I would stay if for a special occasion.
Couldn’t pay by cash
The room was very warm. The fridge cut in and out all night. It was extremely noisy, as doors were slamming shut. There was a lot of noise for most of the night. It was very disappointing, and I had hardly any sleep
Very close to the m5, good breakfast and large room
No air con - but that’s minor, we had two fans!
Breakfast was good
The noise that kept us awake. Allt of screaming shouting an banging. An music on all night till early hours of morning. An dirt on bed sheets
The 'Executive Room I was upgraded to on 7th April was impossible to use for my stay. The worst problem was that the door into the shower/toilet/whole bathroom only opened about 5 inches and then hit the shower screen. I am disabled and have Parkinsons Disease and stated this on my Booking Form and this led to the hotel offering the room upgrade.
Good and quiet.
It was all you wanted in a hotel.
Room and breakfast 😋 . Lovely coffee and bar lounge. Love your garden and hanging baskets. ¹
Bedroom milks, difficult to open and not much milk. Very messy and sticky, little pots would be much better.
Facilities. location. staff. room.
Steak sandwich to tough
I have stay at this hotel before plenty of parking great rooms great food handy for the m6 motorway.
N/a
Didn’t get time to like the property as booked accessible room wasn’t available, had to leave with no hotel room available.
As above
Location, comfort of bed, size of room, staff friendliness, breakfast was great.
No main light in room. Plug sockets non near by (ones that were accessible were Indian Plugs). Wall paper peeling. Starbucks was closed everytime we went past, the pool we were told was open till 8pm but that was not on a sunday.
Handy location just off M42 & M5. Exceptional value for money.
The garden area needs tidying.
Good value for money
Nothing
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms are tired and run down.
First went to the hotel to celebrate my birthday last year. It , far exceeded our expectations so we have stayed there, many times since because the food is good, well cooked and continuously refreshed at breakfast. The hotel is, very relaxing, something other guests we have spoken to during our stays agree. The staff are amazing, always helpful, especially the house keeping side who never stop and make the place what it is.
As a gardener, more attention to the beautiful grounds considering the amount of weddings the cater for.
Staff are really nice and polite
Everything place had everything we needed
Needed more than 2 pillows for a double bed and could do with new mattresses
Always reliable
Breakfast is expensive
We liked all
The property was welcoming for was nice staff were nice
Our room was very dirty made me feel uncomfortable
Clean fresh ,lovely place ,close to motorway
The bed and pillows were so uncomfortable made it impossible to get much sleep

Location & facilities
Size of room
Paying extra to use swimming pool even though paid for 3 nights! Never ever experienced this in any other hotel! Also, then being turned away from the pool as I had 2 kids as a single mother and was told I would need another adult. 1 child is 9 and an experienced swimmer!
Nothing. Poor services & rude staff
Old back in 70’s style. Falling to pieces in rooms and common areas
The reception is very inviting and looked great!
The rooms are not clean at all, there was dust, blood marks on the walls in the bathroom, dusk on the chairs and stains on the bed sheets. Carpets are very old.
Really close to where we needed, free parking and super friendly staff.
There was a punch hole in the bathroom door, the door to the utility area (ironing board etc) wasn’t there… There were liquid marks down the wall next to the bed, the carpet was the cleanest either. The bed wasn’t very comfy either, and the fire alarm went off at 6am.
Staff were welcoming
I booked a double executive room, on arrival I’d been put it a 3 single room. The lady on reception put me in a 2 double room. I wanted a king size bed as my partner is 6ft 3 I also liked the idea newly refurbished room, however the bathroom was very tired and outdated. The room was also covered in dust. We also ordered a pizza from the bar menu and it was given to us with one piece of pepperoni on. I returned it and more pepperoni and cheese was added to it, not a fresh one made.
Receptionist was lovely
Wedding party and setting fire alarm off
Large bedroom and bathroom. Double aspect window. Loved the room had a fridge and a fan.
The bedroom definitely needs a thorough clean. Bathroom had mould around the bath and limescale. The fridge also had mould in it.
Place was clean and staff were friendly
Bed was not very comfy and no extra pillows provided unlike everywhere else I’ve stayed .
Only needed a quick night and this place was ideal… clean, tidy, easy check in, nice spacious room.. great bar service. Didn’t sample the food but looked superb
Nothing.. exceptional
The staff were probably the best part of it
It was dated, dirty, food was awful!
The front desk was friendly and helpful. The pool was nice as well but there were bits not working. The breakfast was a standard full English buffet, but was really good. The beds were comfortable and clean.
It was rather tired in places. There was so much noise outside with the windows open. The fire alarm went off at 5am.
Really struggling to find anything I liked.
The bedroom area was big but the bathroom was tiny, stupid use of space. The style of the furniture in the bedroom was not to my taste (horrible), and somewhat mismatched with a non-matching table with a mini-fridge and fan on top - like in a cheap 1-star hotel. No air-conditioning. Uncomfortable rather narrow bed. Grey tartan carpet that just looked dirty. Bathroom felt like it needed a deep clean, or refresh.
Large bedroom
Rude staff on reception.
Pool
Layout in room. Put bed so can see tv TV on. Put bathroom door on other way so can close it without having to step over the loo.
Nice breakfast Good location Good sized rooms
Rooms were not clean at all Staff took 20 minutes at the bar before serving - we gave up waiting once
It was our second time there everything was lovely. Only the some of the staff were horrible. Need more customer service training
A good hotel, but my room the toilet flush did not work and the soap dispenser fell off the wall. Jordie on the front desk was what a receptionist should be, attentitive, knowledgable, funny and was able to help me. All in all a good stay.
Toilet not working Soap dispenser fell off the wall
Nothing
Feaces stains all over the carpet ants all over the bathroom and the only reason I stayed there was to relax and have a sauna and steam room and both were out of order not happy at all and I’m still waiting for management to call me 😤
Didn't eat breakfast
Nothing
Very old style.
Location
The staff at the hotel were very miserable, our rooms smelt bad of damp we were giving a lousy fan in the peak of summer during a heatwave to keep us cool, the shower had hair in the drain plug, very dirty. Also they advertise the swimming pool but you have to pay extra, breakfast was awful over all definitely avoid.

Location was great, right by the M5
This hotel is very dated, I get the impression it used to be a nice upmarket place but hasn't aged well. It is priced quite high for what you get. The staff were not particularly welcoming, I would almost go as far to say the person on reception was rude. The room decor is out-dated with damage and there is mould in the bathroom. My sheets had stains and the plug sockets aren't positioned well. I went to the bar where they had no soft drinks on draught, I was offered lemonade which was in an open jug.. I ended up heading to the petrol station down the road!
Location was fine
Had to make complaint to reception about the fact that it was very obvious that the room carpet had not been hovered and some mark (Red maybe make up) on carpet outside the bathroom - room was hot abs the single fan was very ineffective (no air conditioning) a better more effective fan or fans should be standard
The swimming pool was great.
Bathroom needed Updating
Nothing
The room was dirty and it wasn't like the picture
