The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They were interested in personally being responsible for helping. This was from the housekeeper to the waiters at the top pool to the concierge. The place had a lovely energy which came from the staff being happy.

This hotel is located in the centre of Malaga in the same street as the Cathedral. It is very convenient for the main shopping area and the older parts of the city. There are loads of restaurants and bars around the immediate area. It is also close enough to walk to the port and beyond to the beach.

It is not surprising being a city centre hotel that the outside area of the hotel is very limited. The roof top "swimming" pool is very small and the available lounging/seating limited.

Hotel bem estruturado, novo, cama bem confortável. Excelente localização, bem no centro, com muitas lojas e restaurantes nos arredores. Atendimento ótimo na recepção.

Quarto um pouco barulhento quando as pessoas passam no corredor. Ar condicionado barulhento também.

Would have preferred a stand up shower. The floor in tub was very slippery. Or a bath mat.

Hotellet är väldigt bra för sitt pris. Läge, faciliteter, pool, personal och frukost var top klass. Vi kom med hyrbil och att hitta till garaget är krångligt men det löste sig också.

La poca empatía de las personas de recepción ya que vas alojarte y lo que deberían de hacerte sentir es como en casa y nada de eso ocurrió ni ganas de ayudarte de explicarte y de mucho menos de hacerte saber de los servicios que puede ofrecerte el hotel como por ejemplo mi reserva era sin desayuno pero nadie me lo ofreció o me lo trató de vender nadie me explicó donde estaba el restaurante y si me apetecía tomar o tapear algo tenía el restaurante bar Mitz que está súper bueno y acogedor y creo que podían sacarle más provecho, nadie me preguntó qué tal SU ESTANCIA fue algo que me dejó en shock porque hasta en un hostal te preguntan por ello y bueno o el Personal con el móvil nadie te saluda o tiene eyes contacto nadie te dice le puedo ayudar en algo y cus si te atienden están comiendo quiero decir con bocado en la boca o masticando me parece una falta de respeto al cliente y hasta en el check out ya ni le ofrezco un taxi o hay algo que podamos ayudarle solo dejar las mal estas y ni adiós hasta la próxima nada muy muy mal solo los bellboys buena gente la supervisora gracias por escucharme y me dejó la tarde ya de la manager de recepción y los del restaurante que fue lo mejor ellos deberían de estar ahí enfrente como carta de presentación

Sono già cliente del catalonia in giro per il mondo ultima volta nella struttura di santo domingo il problema e lo staff valutare le situazioni se hai con te un cagnolino di 2kg che porti in braccio e puoi tenerlo solo in camera perché nel rooftoop che è l attrazione migliore dell albergo non lo puoi portare a fare colazione o pranzo o cena non lo puoi portare allora bisognerebbe scrivere cani ammessi ma solo in camera altra cosa non si può scrivere parcheggio disponibile poi però è a pagamento per il resto solito catalonia molto bello e di qualità ma non ho né provato la colazione ne la cena perché sono dovuto uscire ultima cosa un hotel di questo livello avere un canale per vedere le partite sarebbe gradito

de locatie is super, kathedraal, picasso museum op loopafstand. Het personeel is vriendelijk en helpt waar ze kunnen. Hotel is schoon. Ontbijt is prima. Kamer is groot en schoon. Op aanvraag, douche met zitje. Bedden zijn prima.

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich 10/10. Man ist mitten im Zentrum von Málaga, kann fast alles zu Fuß erreichen und zwischendurch problemlos kurz ins Hotel zurück. Die Zimmer waren in Ordnung und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Frühstück hatten wir nicht und können es daher nicht bewerten.

Der Poolbereich war für uns allerdings enttäuschend. Der Pool ist sehr klein und etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es gibt kaum Platz zum Liegen und auf der unteren Terrasse ist dauerhaft ein sehr lautes Lüftungsgeräusch zu hören, wodurch dort leider keine entspannte Atmosphäre entsteht.

Es war nur etwas umständlich aufs Balkon zu gelangen weil man immer durch zwei Türen gehen musste. Und die erste Tür stieß dabei gegen ein Möbelstück was im Weg stand.

Die Lage ist perfekt für einen Städtetrip. Trotz Innenstadt sehr ruhige Zimmer.

Der Pool inkl. der Dachterrasse sind leider unbrauchbar, da es keinen Sonnenschirm gibt und leider der Pool sehr klein ist. Außerdem halten sich dort so viele Nicht-Hotelgäste auf, dass man sich weder entspannen kann bzw. erst gar keinen Platz findet.

Wine prices changed frequently. Ranged between €4, €5 and €11. And literally was the same wine poured each time Also, outside noise, floor 7 terrace, ridiculous air/Extraction noise coming from the hotel over the road. (AC Marriot)

City centre, around places of Interest. Hotel was beautiful, everyone so friendly. Our suite was beautiful, looking over the Cathedral. For anyone older like us the roof/pool terrace was busy, a lot of high bar tables. Low tables chairs not comfortable. Appreciate it has 2 bars and our stay was August. The upstairs bar area does have more comfortable seating, need to be up there early. We did eat out our 3 nights and hotel very central to restaurants and shops.

We were sat at Hotel bar on the street asked for cocktail menu, told to go up to 8th floor for cocktails. Told them we were residents, still not offered full cocktail menu. Barman was quite rude! Our only negative!

Tudo, adoramos, o quarto era espaçoso, bem decorado, com muito requinte, limpo, localização excelente, funcionários super simpáticos. Recomendo, se voltar a Malaga ficarei lá outra vez .

Incredible hotel. We received a free upgrade on arrival to the only room with a terrace overlooking the cathedral! We were blown away by the room and service we received! Fab rooftop bar with view of the cathedral too!

Great location, within easy walking distance of everything in the Old Town. The rooftop pool is very nice, although it’s a bit small and can get crowded. The breakfast spread is good, with plenty of options. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and they were especially accommodating in helping us change rooms.

The room and lobby felt quite hot during our stay, and I was sweating much of the time. I’m not sure if there is a limit on how low the air conditioning can be set, but we couldn’t get the room temperature below 21.5°C.

The pool is tiny! Not enough seats. My husband managed to have a quick dip but you can’t swim in it it’s like a big bath with lots of sundress and god knows what else floating round.

We had an outstanding stay at Catalonia Málaga (Molina Lario). From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hotel kindly provided us with an early check-in, which we greatly appreciated after our journey. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and exceptionally well maintained. The entire hotel was immaculate, and every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. A very special thank you to Daniel at the front desk. He was incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. After we had a disappointing experience with another beach club that failed to honor our reservation, Daniel personally called Trocadero Playa and made our reservation for the following day, ensuring everything was confirmed so we wouldn't experience the same problem again. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for the guests truly made a difference. The location is perfect, just a short walk from Málaga Cathedral, the historic center, the marina, excellent restaurants, shops, and many of the city's main attractions, making it ideal for exploring Málaga on foot. The breakfast was magnificent, with an excellent variety of fresh, high-quality options. It was one of the highlights of our stay. Thank you to Daniel and the entire team for your outstanding hospitality. You made our visit to Málaga truly memorable, and we will gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Catalonia Molina Lario. The location is perfect, 18 minute walk to the beach and just on the outskirts of the historic centre so everything is within walking distance. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. I stayed in an "urban" room and it was perfect for me.

Relatief kleine zwemgelegenheid voor de hotel grootte, daardoor moeilijk gebruik van te maken vanwege drukte. Wel mooi uitzicht vanaf het dakterras.

We had a lovely 2 day stay at this hotel. The room / suite was fabulous with everything to a very high standard, the bed was super comfortable and we loved the balcony with city view. Staff were really helpful, and breakfast was just lovely. Pool roof top bar was a lovely way to cool down after sightseeing. We will be back again

la posizione centralissima facilmente raggiugibile sia in macchina che con mezzi pubblici. Hotel elegante di livello elevato certamente fuori dalla mischia di Malaga d'estate.Se arrivi in macchina puoi prenotare il parcheggio sotteraneo molto comodo

la piscina al roof è piuttosto piccola e gli spazi per appoggiarsi per prendere il sole sono molto pochi in relazione alla grandezza dell'Hotel. Tutto sommato direi che è un roof ben attrezzato con un bel bar con una piccola area relax...

La ubicación es inmejorable y la habitación súper cómoda. Nos hicieron un upgrade y pudimos disfrutar de unas vistas únicas.

A las 6:30am sonó el teléfono y me dijeron que había solicitado despertador, cosa que no era pero que han conseguido despertarme. Luego sobre las 9am golpearon a la puerta y eso que tenía el cartel de No molestar. En conclusión, son detalles que tendrían que considerar porque al final molesta al descanso. Por otro lado, en la piscina la música era puro reggeaton y a un volumen muy alto, que no pega nada para un hotel de tal categoría.

Todo, pero el precio por llevar mascota es caro, y no me parece que haya que dejar 200 € de fianza...ni que llevasemos un tigre.

Tout est de qualité. La suite est magnifique. Bien insonorisée. Le petit-déjeuner est bien fourni et varié. Quant aux personnels : ils sont adorables. Et le roof top !

Otel çok merkezi , temiz rahat, çalışanlar güleryüzlü, sahile ve limana çok yakın, balkonlu odamız vardı ve çok güzeldi, sadece kahvaltı konusunda tam beklentimi karşılamadı .Açıkçası çok fazla çeşit yoktu, temel kahvaltılık ürünler mevcut aç kalmazsınız fakat kahvaltının biraz daha zenginleştirilmesi otel deneyimini daha güzel hale getirir. Ama genel olarak memnun kaldık.

Nothing we did not like, but would have been good to have mugs which went under the spout of the coffee machine, and a light over the tea/coffee station. But these are minor quibbles.

La habitación era grande, lo que más me gustó fueron los chicos del rooftop, súper amables y serviciales, no hubo ni uno que no fuese profesional, hicieron definitivamente nuestra estancia mil veces mejor, gracias.

Cuando llegamos no estaba totalmente limpio, había pelo en el lavabo y en la cama, nada exagerado, pero los detalles importan.

The location of the property was excellent. Within walking distance of everything you need in Malaga including the shops, museums and beach. The rooftop pool was smallish but perfect for an afternoon dip to cool off. The cocktails at the rooftop bar were absolutely excellent as were the staff. The hotel rooms weee super modern and clean. The bed was so comfy and you could not hear any external noise at night. Breakfast has plenty of variety and no matter what time we ate was quiet and relaxing.

Pool seating area could get very busy late afternoon but we always managed to find somewhere to sit.

Very central location with good transport links

When we arrived (early July) the outside temperature was c 27c. The room, apparently airconditioned, was at 26.5C. We switched the aircon on and set it to 20C and left the key card in the room so the A/C ran continuously. Over 2 days with windows closed and A/C on 24/7 the room not once fell below an indicated 24.5C and I believe the actual temperature was higher than indicated. It was a sweat box of a room. We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and we had similar AirCon issues. It isn't a deal breaker but if you want to be cool you need to check your room before agreeing to stay. The room is a little bland with no outside space
