The staff were amazing - so kind and helpful. We had to stay longer than planned following the cancellation of our flight. The staff made every effort to get a room ready for us and even upgraded our room type. The hotel is located right next to a very nice beach and the river to the side is very pretty. We hadn't planned to stay here but we're very glad that we did.

Amazing. Will definitely go there next year.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Kalyves Beach Hotel und können das Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen! Direkt am Meer! Und der kleine Fluss an der Seite war auch sehr schön! Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das außergewöhnlich freundliche und aufmerksame Personal. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und wurde jeden Tag sorgfältig gereinigt. Ein besonderes Dankeschön an Evangelina für ihre herzliche Art und die tolle Arbeit! Auch das Team an der Rezeption war jederzeit freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders Angeliki möchten wir hervorheben: Sie war ausgesprochen professionell, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und hatte für jede Frage oder Bitte eine Lösung. Vielen Dank dafür! Das gesamte Restaurant-Team war ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich. Besonders Theodoris ist uns mit seiner menschlichen, herzlichen und gleichzeitig sehr professionellen Art in Erinnerung geblieben. Man merkt, dass ihm das Wohl der Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegt. Auch das Essen hat uns sehr gut gefallen: abwechslungsreich, frisch und lecker, mit einer guten Auswahl und regelmäßig wechselnden Gerichten. Das Hotel bietet außerdem ein abwechslungsreiches Abendprogramm, und insgesamt herrscht eine sehr angenehme und familiäre Atmosphäre. Das gesamte Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und trägt wesentlich dazu bei, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Wir haben uns als Familie sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Eine klare Empfehlung für einen schönen und entspannten Urlaub auf Kreta!

Wir bekamen unerwartet ein Zimmer mit Meeresblick - ein starkes Upgrade für den Urlaub. der Barista-Kaffee von der Bar war wirklich sehr gut! Auch die Cocktails waren immer lecker! Benutzte Becher wurden sogar vom Strand abserviert - außergewöhnlich komfortabel! Das Personal war stets bemüht und freundlich obwohl das Anfang September sicher nicht mehr so leicht ist ;) die Unterhaltung am Abend war immer gelungen! Der Fitnessraum liefert genug Ausstattung für ein Ganzkörperkrafttraining auf Durchschnittsniveau.

Das Zimmer hätte etwas größer sein können. Anfangs roch es im Bad nach Urin, was nach der ersten Reinigung durch das Personal jedoch beseitigt war. die Automaten im Playroom haben einige Münzen geschluckt und manche liesen sich trotz Bitte nicht in Gang setzen.

We had the most wonderful 6-day stay at Kalyves Beach Hotel in Kalyves, Crete, and honestly, what made our summer holiday truly special was the incredible hospitality and warmth of the entire team. ❤️ From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. A special thank you to Nikola at reception for such a sweet welcome, and to Agelikki, who was always so kind, helpful and genuinely lovely throughout our stay. We would also like to thank the security guard who helped us find our room when we arrived — such a thoughtful gesture after a long journey. Our anniversary during the stay was made extra special thanks to the amazing team at the hotel. My husband secretly arranged a surprise, and the staff went above and beyond to make it beautiful — from the wine and room decoration to the wonderful cake surprise during our dinner. ❤️ A huge thank you to the housekeeping team as well for decorating our room so beautifully and for their sweet anniversary wishes each day. These little touches made the celebration incredibly memorable for us. A very special thank you goes to the restaurant team, especially Mr. Theodoros, the restaurant manager, and the chef, whose name I unfortunately didn't get. Our daughter has an extreme nut allergy, so eating out can sometimes be quite stressful for us as parents. They were incredibly attentive, patient and reassuring, carefully guiding us towards food that was safe for her. We truly appreciated how seriously they took our concerns and how much care they put into making sure our daughter could enjoy the meals safely. And of course, a huge thank you to the wonderful bartenders — George, Rana, and our lovely Indonesian bartender, whose name I sadly forgot to ask! 😄 They were all so friendly, warm and welcoming that spending time at the bar became one of our favourite parts of the holiday.

La Grecia è pressoché impalpabile se non in qualche piatto da degustare. Troppi animali nella struttura e spiaggia molto sporca. Struttura praticamente solo per famiglie con bimbi seppur non abbia tanta animazione. Sabbia spiaggia sporchissima con animali che disturbano e dominano la scena, cosi come nella parte esterna adibita alla consumazione pasti. Igiene sanitaria non all altezza del costo del soggiorno

הוילון והאמבטיה מרגיש כמו אכסניה זולה. מבחינת השתייה זה ממש מתוק כך שאי אפשר לשתות ולהנות מהשתייה.

A zöldségek, saláták nagy választékban és frissek voltak. Az esti programok nagyon színvonalasak voltak.

Az ételválaszték minimálisan változott, nagyon sokszor ugyanazok az ételek voltak...Rengeteg előre készített mű étel volt a desszertek is nagyon egyszerűek mint a bolti desszertek.

Staff was very helpful and friendly

Food was terrible nothing taste good enough to enjoy. Drinks are in terrible terrible quality I have never seen that bad wine in my entire life. It was waste of money for us we didn’t eat a single lunch/dinner at the hotel. The only good thing was watermelon in the buffet!

Zuerst ein ganz großes Kompliment an das Personal, alle sind ohne Ausnahme total lieb und freundlich. Es gibt neben dem Hauptgebäude noch ein weiteres, dass dem Anschein nach jünger und "frischer" wirkt. Das erste Zimmer das uns zugeteilt war, war ein Anschlusszimmer (Kinderzimmer eines Familienzimmers) im Haupthaus. Das Zimmer war sehr klein und hat nach Feuchtigkeit gemuffelt. Es wurde uns aber ohne Diskussionen oder Probleme ein anderes Zimmer zugeteilt. Dieses befand sich im Nebengebäude, hat nicht gemuffelt und hatte eine angemessene Größe. Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, es war jedoch nicht möglich die Klimaanlage sowie den Deckenventilator zu regulieren. Somit bestand nur die Möglichkeit mit voller Klima zu schlafen, oder dem gesamten Strom abzustellen. Wir haben uns für die Klima entschieden und die dicke Decke aus dem Schrank verwendet. Das Essen war soweit in Ordnung, ich hätte mir tatsächlich durch die vorherigen Bewertungen jedoch etwas mehr Auswahl erwartet. Es gibt tgl fixe "Kindergerichte" (Nudel mit Tomatensauce oder Bolognese, sowie Pommes). Qualitativ war das Essen im großen und ganzen ok.

Das die Klimaanlage nicht einstellbar war ist gerade mit Kindern etwas schwierig, wir haben zum Glück für uns eine Lösung gefunden. Etwas mehr Auswahl am Buffet, da es nur zwei Bereiche beim Buffet gab, die den Hauptgang betrafen und einer von beiden die kalten Speisen (Salate, Käse, u.Ä.) enthielten. Ich bin es grundsätzlich von anderen Hotels gewohnt, dass es zumindest zwei Bereiche am Buffet mit warmen Hauptspeisen gibt.

Fenomenalny hotel, w pełni spełnił nasze oczekiwania. Wszystko zgodnie ze zdjęciami. Fantastyczne jedzenie, super obsługa, bardzo fajne wieczorne atrakcje, szczególnie muzyka na żywo. Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni i z całego serca możemy polecić.

Jeśli się już trzeba by do czegoś doczepić, to mogłoby być więcej dodatkowych atrakcji w ciągu dnia.

Lovely location with main road with shopping/bus stop but also right on the river and the beach! Clean, comfortable, always got a sun lounger by pool or sea. Staff were fabulous especially our cleaner and reception. Food was always delicious.

Sea was too rough for swimming most of holiday, not sure if we were just unlucky but worth researching.

La posizione della struttura e le signore delle pulizie tutte molto gentili e disponibili. Il sig.Momo eccellente, sempre disponibile e molto cordiale. Ci ha aiutato durante tutto il soggiorno.

Nel personale di sala c’è un signore, forse il responsabile, per niente gentile. Non concedeva nemmeno un saluto.

Le note positive sono personale delle pulizie  veramente gentile e il signor Momo che ci ha aiutato nelle prenotazioni dei tour ed è sempre stato a disposizione

premetto che raramente faccio recensioni negative piuttosto non le faccio, in questo caso pero mi sento presa in giro dallo staff di questo hotel. Mi sono accadute due cose molto spiacevoli, una è che ho prenotato questo hotel con formula all inclusive per 2 adulti e una bambina di 1 anno e appena arrivata mi offrono con 10 euro in piu a testa la formula all inclusive plus che include up grade della camera e alcuni servizi in più come caffè espresso italiano, alcolici  e bevande di marca. Dopo aver visto la camera che mi avevano assegnato dove non riuscivo nemmeno ad aprire le valigie poichè veramente piccola dico alla reception che avrei fatto la formula all inclusive plus SOLO se c'era una stanza più grande. Benissimo il giorno dopo mi chiamano mi fanno vedere la stanza mi fanno pagare e poi chiedo il braccialetto gold per appunto la formula all inclusive plus e mi dicono che non era possibile averlo perche la camera assegnata era vista mare ( che io non avevo richiesto) e che per avere all inclusive plus dovevo ripagare, questa è una scorrettezza che non mi era mai capitata in nessun hotel soprattutto dopo aver pagato. Altra cosa che è capitata è che la colazione inizia alle 8 in questo hotel e il giorno in cui ho prenotato un'escursione e partivamo alle 7 e 30 ho chiesto qualcosa per colazione per la bambina da portare via e si sono rifiutati perche la colazione inizia alle 8.  Detto questo non lo consiglio nemmeno per la qualità del cibo, veramente poca varietà per bambini e molto speziato, i lettini non sono disponibili per tutti gli utenti dell'hotel noi rimanevamo quasi sempre senza e nemmeno le bevande sono di qualità ho viaggiato molto e ho trovato strutture decisiamente. Pensateci bene prima di spendere queste cifre ci sono hotel migliori di questo.

Odalardaki tuvaletker çok küçük ve ayrıca duş perdesi güzel birşey değil.

Kommet fast på Hotellet 10 gange mellem 2012-2026 med og uden børn/teenager. Ligger direkte ved stranden. Mulighed både for at benytte poolen og havet. Tæt på lille landsby, uden den helt store turisme. Mere rolig. Flere hyggelige restauranter langs tervernen og langs byens gade. Sengene sover man fantastisk i. Service fra personalet er top iorden.

Hotellet/ værelserne er gennem årerne blevet mere slidte. Mangelfuld rengøring på gange og trapperopgang, og fælles toiletter, særligt i hovedbygningen. Rengøringen har ellers altid været i top! Beach baren er desværre blevet mere kedelig da der er mere fokus på selvbjeningen for all inclusiv.

Great place to stay with kids: there's activities, pools, the sea.. The room was definitely adequate as well, and the staff were sweet and friendly. We had a rental car to go around and visit: there's not a lot to do in the local town.

Of course an all-in buffet is not like the local Greek food, but it suited our family's need just great :)

Le personnel était très gentil , surtout les trois jeunes réceptionnistes, Georges, nicolas et Angeliki, momo la personne des excursions était super sympa aussi, nous avons aussi aimé le bar sur la plage les deux piscines et les équipements de l'hôtel, Salle de sport, piscine intérieure..., la proximité de la plage, et le grand parking juste à côté de l'hôtel.

La nourriture, on se serait cru plus dans une cantine que dans un hôtel 4 étoiles, les desserts n'étaient pas bons du tout, les boissons du all inclusive imbuvables, comme nous étions surclassés , nous avions le droit à des petites bouteilles d'eaux pétillantes , si on le demandait. Par contre les autres personnes en all inclusive qui n'étaient pas surclassées n'y avaient pas le droit. Je trouve ça abusé pour un cap étoile. L'hôtel est vieillot, les chambres ne sont pas en bon état, bien qu'elles soient propres et fonctionnelles. Je dirais qu'on est plus sur un trois étoiles que sur un quatre étoiles.

Дуже близько до моря, дуже тихий готель саме те для відпочинку , харчування просто супер, цього року обновили лежаки та парасолі, стало набагато чистіше ніж минулого року !

Nagyon jó elhelyezkedés, közel a part, kedves személyzet, kiváló ellátás, az ételek minősège nagyon jó volt.

A játékteremben nagyon hiànyosan működtek a dolgok, és több eurót is benyeltek a gépek amiket végül nem kaptunk vissza.

Exceptionally cosy hotel. The service was on the highest level, attention shown to EVERY guest. We were kindly offered a better room for our convenience. Big variety of food, high quality of food. A lot of fruits. Perfect beach. Everything was perfect, thank you!

Super Lage direkt am Strand. Sehr freundliches Personal, es versucht Wünsche zu erfüllen und ist immer einen Schritt voraus - zum Beispiel haben sie uns kalte Snacks vom buffett und Wein aufs Zimmer gebracht, da wir sehr spät am Abend angekommen sind und sehr hungrig waren. Alles sauber. Vom Stil her modern und hochwertig - besonders die Lobby, die Pool Bereiche und Essensterrassen. Das Essen lecker und hochwertig. Transfer zum Flughafen wurde top organisiert. Wir spürten einfach, dass die Mitarbeiter mit Herzlichkeit und Freude dabei waren.

Die Badezimmer sind recht klein - aber daran lässt sich wohl nichts ändern. Wer Meerblick bucht, sollte sich bewusst sein: direkt unter diesen Zimmern ist die poolbar und abends die Animation. Griechische Lieder und Tänze und anderes Programm ist recht laut. Mit Kindern würde ich den Meerblick nicht empfehlen, lieber seitlicher Meerblick.

We had the most wonderful family stay at Kalyves Beach Hotel in Crete. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were warm and attentive, and the food at all three meals had a great variety, which made every mealtime enjoyable. What made our stay even more special was that it was our anniversary, and the hotel beautifully decorated our room with balloons, arranged a cake and wine, and made us feel truly celebrated. Even on checkout day, when our flight was only in the evening, the hotel manager kindly allowed us to continue using all the amenities after check-out, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Overall, it was a fantastic family-friendly experience with excellent service, great food, and genuine hospitality. We would happily recommend Kalyves Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Crete.

Das Essen gab es jeweils an einem riesigen Buffet mit einer grossen vielfältigen Auswahl. Wir hatten es nicht so lecker erwartet. Da findet jeder was nach seinem Geschmack.

Die Nachbarn vom Haus gegenüber was auch zum Hotel gehört hatten alle ihre Aussenbeleuchtung an. Dadurch war es in unserem schönen Zimmer trotz tiefer Nacht unangenehm hell. Selbst der dicke Vorhang konnte das nicht verhindern.

Un séjour parfait à tous les niveaux Nous avons tout aimé : la vue panoramique spectaculaire depuis le balcon de notre chambre qui permettait de suivre les animations du soir un verre de vin grec à la main, et surtout le personnel. De Nicolas à l'accueil aux équipes de chambre et du restaurant, tout le monde est d'une gentillesse et d'un professionnalisme remarquables.

Comme souvent dans la région, le stationnement à proximité immédiate de l'hôtel peut s'avérer parfois un peu difficile aux heures de pointe si vous louez une voiture pour explorer les environs.

J'ai vraiment apprécié la chambre avec vue sur mer. Elle est spacieuse et les lits sont confortables. Concernant le buffet, Les plats sont très bons. Ils mériteraient pour certains d'être plus chaud. Il est varié, tout en y retrouvant les classiques passe partout à chaque repas. Nous avons apprécié la terrasse pour manger dehors ainsi que le personnel hyper réactif. Les animations variées sont sympas et gérés par 2 super animateur. Bravo à eux. La propreté est globalement satisfaisante. Aucune remarque sur celle des chambres, juste quelques zones des parties communes qui passent au travers du nettoyage.

Les boissons. Bien qu'inclus et à volonté, le choix est plutôt limité. J'ai pris un cocktail non inclus pour tester et il n'était pas non plus extraordinaire, et cela malgré un a tarif au dessus de ce qui se fait dans les différents bar du village. Le plus gros reproche concerne les transats. Ils sont nombreux mais beaucoup sont en mauvais états (avec des lames cassées) et ne sont donc pas très confortable.

Outstanding Family Beach Escape ! Our family of five, including three little kids, had an absolute blast at this beachfront gem in Stavros, Crete. Right on the crystal-clear sea with stunning views, plus charming walking streets just outside leading to incredible historic sites—perfectly convenient for day trips. The outdoor pools kept the kids splashing happily, and bars stayed open late for parents’ unwind time. Staff were incredibly professional and helpful—shoutout to Stefanidis, he can talk to ducks . Spacious family rooms, safe shallow beach, and top-notch service make this a must-return spot. Highly recommend for family adventures!

Super stosunek jakości do ceny, pyszne i urozmaicone jedzenie, świetna lokalizacja i przemiły personel. A poza tym rzeczka płynąca obok hotelu jest domem dla gromady kaczek i gęsi więc dodatkowo wakacje były urozmaicone codziennym obcowaniem z naturą 🥹

Nie ma takich rzeczy, a wszyscy ci którzy narzekają w mojej ocenie przesadzają. Ale jeśli masz bardzo wysokie oczekiwania to po prostu wybierz inną destynację.

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön direkt am Strand, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Buffet war gut und reichhaltig.

Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Badezimmer in unserem Zimmer ( seitlicher Meerblick zur Flussseite) war sehr klein. Die Dusche nur mit einem Vorhang abgetrennt, deshalb stand nach dem Duschen alles unter Wasser.

Staff were really helpful and friendly. The buffet selection was really amazing for each time, loved the melon selection and the drinks and facilities being near a beach were great and we were upgraded to a sea view on balcony. Really enjoyed the yoga

There wasn't much to fault. Had a great experience. There was an extra charge for spa facilities, wasn't sure if there was a sauna/ steam room facilities. Shower curtain in the shower and sometimes there was a drainage smell

The best part of the stay was definitely the friendliness of the staff—they were welcoming and helpful throughout. Very good value for money also and it’s nice that the hotel offer a different activity to entertain the guests every night.

I would say this hotel is a good option for families who have a car, as it is quite far from Chania Airport and the public transport connections between the two are not very convenient. Taxis are also relatively expensive. I travelled with a friend, and we felt a bit out of place, as the hotel is clearly geared towards families with children. Also it’s worth noting that the quality of the food and drinks is fairly average, and the facilities feel a bit outdated. That said, considering the price we paid, it was still a very decent option overall. The town of Kalyves, where the hotel is located, doesn’t offer much in terms of attractions, and the hotel’s beach is not particularly spectacular. Still, if you are travelling as a family and plan to rent a car, this can be a good, affordable choice. Otherwise, I would recommend looking for accommodation elsewhere.

Lovely friendly staff made us feel very welcome and the restaurant manager Theodore is very helpful. The all inclusive food was delicious and the hotel has a great relaxed feel. Beach and swimming areas super.

Kameralny hotel położony w spokojnej okolicy, przy samej plaży. Na plaży darmowe leżaki i parasole. Obok hotelu rzeka, która dodawała uroku, zwłaszcza jedząc posiłki na zewnątrz. Jedzenie bardzo smaczne, różnorodne. Zwłaszcza regionalne. Obsługa bardzo miła. Sprawne wi-fi.

Pomiędzy pokojami były drzwi. Były zamknięte, ale wszystko było słychać. Pokoje słabo wygłuszone.

This hotel was a fantastic find, very relaxed with efficient and friendly staff, very clean with a great varied food buffet served three times a day. It’s lovely for families with children’s entertainment and the evening entertainment is very good quality. We stayed a week and then extended for a further 4 nights as it was so relaxing. There is a river next to the outside dining area which comes straight down from the mountains and has ducks, fish, swallows and swifts. Infront of the hotel there is a lovely beach and the sea is safe and clear to swim in.
