The hotel staff were very kind and courteous. Our flight was delayed, and they allowed us to keep the room until midday. The hotel’s location was absolutely excellent.

Un endroit charmant, intime, chaleureux où l’on vous accueille avec une citronnade et où l’on se met en 4 afin de satisfaire vos envies. La gentillesse est égale à la beauté du lieu, le jardin est un enchantement et le petit déjeuner est simple mais délicieux mélange de spécialités locales ( comme les beignets bambalouni) et classique ( cake, fruits , fromages) La piscine est charmante… les soins de hammam et massages de la merveilleuse Najwa sont exceptionnels !!!

Nous ne savions pas que le lundi il n’y a aucune restauration possible à l’hôtel, à la piscine … mais le grand professionnalisme de nos hôtes a permis de transformer ce petit point négatif en une délicieuse découverte ils nous ont proposé et reservé le restaurant « au bon vieux temps » à 50m de l’hôtel. Vue magnifique, cuisine exquise, service sympathique… Donc tout était parfait au final ! Il est rare de trouver des lieux où l’on est autant enveloppé par la générosité et l’accueil Tunisien

Très bel établissement, avec un style authentique et beaucoup de charme. L’emplacement est parfait pour découvrir le village et profiter pleinement de son ambiance. La propreté est irréprochable, le personnel est très serviable et accueillant, et la terrasse offre une très jolie vue, particulièrement agréable.

il n’y a pratiquement pas de réseau dans la chambre, ce qui ne permet pas de passer des appels, et même le Wi-Fi ne fonctionne pas correctement à cet endroit. C’est assez gênant, notamment lorsqu’on a besoin de rester joignable.

Everything was wonderful, the location, the beautiful view, and especially the staff. Everyone was so caring, kind, and welcoming, from the reception and bar staff to the housekeeping team and the security guard. A special mention to Najwa for the massage, it was absolutely amazing! The breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection. The whole place was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. I had a fantastic stay and will definitely come back!

We loved this place! One of our favorite things was sitting on the terrace with a cup of coffee or a drink and enjoying the breathtaking view. The property and landscaping are beautiful, and the pool is a wonderful place to relax. We also really enjoyed the hammam and massage—both added something special to our stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, and there is a wonderful Italian restaurant right across the street, which was very convenient. Overall, we had a lovely and relaxing experience. We would definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity to return to Sidi Bou Said.

I have been to many hotels in my life and I can say that this one is by far one of the bests I have been to, the amount of care and hospitality and service are unmatched with a very welcoming and helpful staff, the rooms and decorations are so beautiful and unique, the garden and the view are very cozy ( the birds drinking from the fountain must be the sweetest thing to see in the morning), and the breakfast is so well thought and delicious thanks to the chef who carefully presents the food

Un magnifique séjour dans un hôtel plein de charme ! L’établissement est vraiment très joli, avec une très belle terrasse où il est agréable de se détendre. Le service est excellent et le personnel est vraiment au top, accueillant, professionnel et aux petits soins. L’hôtel est également situé dans un quartier magnifique et très agréable, idéal pour profiter pleinement de la ville. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel !

Une mention toute particulière à la maîtresse de maison pour son accueil exceptionnel, son professionnalisme et surtout son attention de chaque instant. Elle veille personnellement à la qualité et à la propreté des lieux, nous conseille les meilleures adresses de Sidi Bou Saïd et des environs et s’occupe même de réserver nos restaurants. Grâce à elle, chaque séjour est parfaitement organisé tout en conservant cette atmosphère chaleureuse et authentique que nous aimons tant. Dar Saïd est un lieu magnifique : des chambres pleines de charme, une propreté irréprochable, un cadre exceptionnel et un personnel aux petits soins. Mais ce qui fait réellement la différence, c’est la qualité de l’accueil et cette sensation rare de se sentir immédiatement comme à la maison. Nous repartons une nouvelle fois avec de merveilleux souvenirs de vacances en famille… et avec une seule envie : revenir l’année prochaine ! I thought the breakfast options could have been better, especially given the incredible breakfasts that Tunisia is known for.

Right in the heart of SBS, our room was spacious and well styled. The pool area was lovely and we used it each afternoon to cool down. The staff were all great, especially Ibrahim (apologies if I’ve spelled that wrong). Even when there were throngs of tourists roaming the streets of SBS, Dar Said was an oasis for us.

This is a fantastic hotel in the very heart of Sidi Bou Said. The views of the Mediterranean are gorgeous. The rooms were lovely. Nice breakfast.

Il personale era educatissimo super gentile e disponibile. Alcuni di loro parlavano anche un buon italiano il che non guasta. La colazione era abbondante e molto varia. La piscina era la ciliegina sulla torta.

Nonostante il livello alto dei servizi da sotto il letto sono uscite 2 blatte.

Dar Saïd est un véritable havre de paix, un lieu où le temps semble ralentir. Tout y invite à la sérénité. Le personnel, toujours souriant et attentionné, rend chaque instant agréable, tandis que la maîtresse de maison veille avec une bienveillance sincère à ce que l’on s’y sente comme chez soi. Une adresse pleine de charme que l’on quitte avec l’envie d’y revenir.

A quiet stunning hotel with beautiful gardens and great pool area and Hammam, but it was also really close to the main street with lots of small traditional shops and restaurants. The staff were so genuinely lovely, no request was a problem, they let us have the room all day on our last day as we had a late flight. The breakfast was so varied and the best I ve ever had. It is a 15-20 minute walk to the beach and uphill on way back. There is a supermarket at the bottom of the Main Street near the mosque roundabout and again a little hill back up but you can stop and look at the shops or buy something to eat. The museum is worth a visit. Carthage and Tunis nearby and taxis take you and wait. Only a couple of restaurants sell alcohol, Dar Zarrock have amazing cocktails and the best food was at Au Bon vieux temps. There is a good atmosphere at cafe de delices and best mint tea at Bleue. We absolutely loved our time at Dar Said and so will you, fantastic traditional hotel with amazing staff.

Chambres double trop petites.

In the heart of Sidi Bou Said just off of the main shopping and eating street. Lots of people and activities going on right outside but quiet inside. The pool was nice for a dip and the breakfast was quite nice. We had an early tour and were allowed to grab items to go while breakfast was being set up. The gardens and view from gardens was colorful as well. Slept comfortably and AC cooled room down after long day.

Liked everything! Note: Its important to make sure any taxi or tour operator knows the area for easy pick up and drop off. Ours did so it wasn’t an issue but could be. Also to get to the property from Main Street is a short uphill and stairs which could be rough if mobility is an issue.

Dar Said is a beautiful, peaceful property in an excellent location in Sidi Bou Said. The traditional architecture, gardens, sea views, and overall atmosphere made the stay feel genuinely special. The staff were warm, accommodating, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

The pool was nice. the grounds are amazing. The arrangement with dar zarrouk was really nice and we went there twice for drinks and nibbles.

rooms could use better ventilation, better lighting and some place to dry off clothes/bathing suits. The breakfast area is too small, perhaps the hotel could turn the adjacent lounge into another breakfast area.

The Dar is incredible, beautifully kept and in central location in Sidi Bou Said. Nice breakfast, it’s great to use the pool after a hot day out. The terrace and all the vegetation are great, beautiful environment. There could be a few more lounge chairs in the pool area.

The main upsetting episode was that, despite booking a transfer with the hotel from the airport to the hotel, no one showed up at the airport. After looking for half an hour, an hour and a half after the plane landed, I managed to call the hotel using someone’s phone. They told me the taxi broke down on the way to the airport (really?!) but I questioned why no one bothered letting me know, since they had my contact. We then took a taxi from the airport and finally got to the hotel. When we arrived, the person at reception didn’t even apologise and when I said I even had to pay more than what was agreed with the hotel, he just replied “well you are here now”. It was disappointing to see that they didn’t even offer to refund the taxi or offer something the next day considering such poor service. - Two bottles of water should be provided every day, like in most places or at least don’t charge 9 dinars for water at the bar!

Prachtige locatie, op een rustige plek ook-al is Sidi bou Saïd een toeristisch plaatsje. Personeel is erg vriendelijk, hebben ons goed geholpen met de auto parkeren, wat nog een uitdaging is met alle smalle straatjes! Ontbijt ook lekker.

Ik miste iets van een bar/restaurant bij het zwembad/terras waar je eventueel een drankje zou kunnen doen. We hebben één drankje gedaan op het terras, deze werd gebracht vanuit een andere plek en dit was érg prijzig.

I absolutely fell in love with Dar Said. The place is truly special, with so much charm and beautiful details in every corner. I loved everything about it — the atmosphere, the design, and the overall experience. It was honestly one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at in Tunisia. I already can’t wait to come back to Tunisia and stay here again.

Nous avons passé, mon amie et moi, un très agréable séjour. Le cadre est magnifique et reflète parfaitement l'ambiance et le charme de Sidi Bou Saïd que nous recherchions. Tout était conforme à nos attentes, voire au-delà. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié l'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel, avec une mention particulière pour le monsieur à la réception pendant la journée, qui a été très aimable et attentionné avec nous. Le petit-déjeuner était également très bon et a contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus agréable. Nous gardons un très beau souvenir de cette expérience et espérons avoir l'occasion de revenir séjourner chez vous lors d'une prochaine visite à Sidi Bou Saïd. Die Lage und vor allem der Garten ist sehr gut und gepflegt. Er ist für romantische Aufnahmen sehr geeignet. Vor allem das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei auftretenden Fragen und Problemen wurde ich sehr gut beraten und bekam Unterstützung. Auch das Zimmer war stehts gepflegt und auch mit Blumen verziert. Das Frühstück war für meine Bedürfnisse gut.

Das Zimmer, welches ich bei meiner Ankunft zugewiesen wurde, entsprach absolut nicht meinen Vorstellungen. Aber ich habe nach Rücksprache problemlos ein anders erhalten. Dieses war zwar kleiner, aber gefiel mir gut. Leider fehlte ein Stuhl.

Tout ! Le personnel avant tout bien sûr. Tout le monde est très accueillant, souriant, prêts à tout pour répondre à toutes les requêtes. On s’y sent comme à la maison. La qualité du petit déjeuner, les chambres, la décoration, la terrasse avec sa vue imprenable, l’emplacement idéal.

All rooms uniquely decorated in local style but some don’t have outside window. If you are like me and find the window of a room very important, then make sure that the room you book has one !
