The location and the hotel facilities are truly beautiful. The courtyards and the swimming pool create a wonderful atmosphere and are a pleasure to enjoy. The restaurant is outstanding and highly recommended, with excellent food and service. The swimming pool is fantastic, with very comfortable sunbeds, and the staff there were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always willing to help.

The rooms were not what we expected for a hotel of this category and price. They are in need of some updating, and the air conditioning in our room did not work properly. The room was very hot when we arrived because the air conditioning had not been left running between guests. A technician was called simply to check that the system was working, and after it was switched on, the room did cool down somewhat. However, as I mentioned the following day, “it’s better, but not perfect.” Despite this, no further action was taken to improve the situation or properly resolve the issue. As a result, we had to keep the curtains closed throughout the day to keep the room cool, which completely defeated the purpose of paying extra for a Premium Front Ocean View room. The room itself felt quite small, and the bathroom would benefit from having a shelf under the sink to provide more space for toiletries and personal items. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was very disappointing, and it took us quite some time to start enjoying our stay. We did not feel that the hotel made a genuine effort to compensate for the poor first impression or to make our arrival more pleasant. I believe a Grand Hotel should do everything possible to make things right when a guest’s first experience falls short of expectations. First impressions are extremely important, especially at this level, and I would have expected the hotel to offer us a better room or take some meaningful action to restore our confidence and ensure a positive start to our stay. Given the hotel’s category and price, we had expected a much higher standard, both in terms of the facilities and, above all, the way the situation was handled.

Мы не первый раз останавливаемся в этом отеле и всегда были очень довольны, поэтому в этот раз без сомнений забронировали четыре номера на две ночи для нашей компании. К сожалению, именно питание стало главным разочарованием. Все восемь гостей были единодушны во мнении, что завтраки и ужины заметно ухудшились по сравнению с предыдущими визитами. Для пятизвездочного отеля такого уровня и стоимости выбор блюд оказался очень скудным, а качество некоторых продуктов и фруктов не соответствовало ожиданиям. Во всем остальном отель по-прежнему прекрасен, но именно питание существенно испортило впечатление от отдыха. Очень надеемся, что руководство обратит внимание на этот момент и вернет тот высокий уровень, за который мы всегда ценили этот отель. Пока, к сожалению, соотношение цены и качества питания не соответствует уровню пятизвездочного отеля.

Servizio mini bar e acqua pessimo. Acqua gratuita (solo una bottiglia al giorno per tre persone di pessima qualità (sapeva di cloro) ma nemmeno sostituita quando finita durante il servizio di turndown. Più volte sono state lasciate le bottiglie vuote senza essere sostituite. Utilizzavamo l’acqua del mini bar perché altrimenti non avevamo acqua e comunque il servizio mini bar passava un giorno si ed uno no. Ho dovuto chiamare per farmi portare acqua alle 22, sono venuti dopo 30 minuti nonostante avessi un bimbo di un anno. Parcheggio a pagamento. Staff ristorante a colazione e cena al patio molto lento.

Las habitaciones espaciosas, la cama comodísima. La playa de la Barrosa es espectacular. Lo que más destaca es el trato cordial del personal del hotel y el esmero que ponen en los detalles. Los restaurantes sirven comida a la carte deliciosa, de productos locales y con excelentes vinos - en una semana comimos fuera solo una vez.

Un poco de lío con las toallas que solo están a disposición en la piscina y a partir de las 10:00 de la mañana, forzando a las personas que quieran disfrutar de la playa por la mañana temprano, guardarlas desde la noche anterior 🤪 El café del desayuno deja bastante que desear (para un amante del buen café).

Sehr komfortable und schön gestaltete Zimmer. Das gesamte Servicepersonal war extrem freundlich und sehr aufmerksam! Wir haben uns rundum gut betreut und sehr wohl gefühlt.

Die Nähe zum Strand ist ein echter Standortvorteil. Die Zimmer sind sehr ordentlich aber auch nichts besonderes. Das Frühstück entspricht dem Standard in dieser Kategorie. Was auch bei den Restaurants der Fall ist. "Fisch" können Sie dort besser als "Fleisch".

Ich erwarte im Ausland nicht, daß die Menschen meine Muttersprche sprechen. Aber in einem Hotel dieser Kategorie sollte das Personal wirklich bessere Englischkenntnisse haben. Ich spreche selbst neben fließend Englisch und auch soviel Spanisch, daß ich mich verständigen kann. Bei unserer Abreise (morgens) hatte ich 2 Tage vorher darum gebeten, mir ein Taxi zum Flughafen zu bestellen. Nachdem bereits die Verständigung (in Englisch) mit der als Concierge arbeiteten Mitarbeiterin nicht ganz einfach war, bestätigte diese mir dann zunächst telefonisch , daß das Taxi um 07.30 p.m. (!!!!!) zur Verfügung stünde. Ich benötigte eine Weile, um der Dame den Unterschied zwischen ante meridiem und post meridiem klar zu machen, da wir ja nicht abends zum Flughafen fahren wollten, sondern früh morgens. Bis Sie das verstanden hat, hat tatsächlich etwas gedauert. Und by the way: das Taxi war kein Taxi sondern ein mit dem Hotel wohl zusammenarbeitenden Fahrdienst (mit S Klasse Auto) und dem entsprechenden Preis. Aber wie sagt man so schön: ce la vie.

La amabilidad del personal en el salon del desayuno/cena, en especial el camarero Jesus, fue muy amable y atento como pocas personas he visto en Espania

El spa se llena mucho, por mas que organizan horarios, es muy lleno, tendrian que agrandarlo o reducir la cantidad de personas por turno/horario. Ademas en la recepcion no nos avisaron que habia q reservar, lo supimos al intentar entrar al spa.

They didn't tell me ahead of time that I would need a swim cap for the spa. So you have to pay 3 euros for them. Also, the towels in the Spa room that they gave us were wet.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit sehr netten Team. Concierge Service war sehr bemüht. Wir bekamen ein Update in die red Level Lounge, was super nett war.

Die Bäder / Amaturen sind schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber noch funktionstüchtig.

Nous avons tout aimé. Le seul petit bémol, s’il devait y en avoir un, est que Sancti Pietri, le « quartier » où se situent tous les hôtels, n’est pas doté de beaucoup de commerces ou de possibilités d’aller se promener dans un endroit un peu animé

Das Abendessen in Buffetform, das man bei Buchung der Halbpension erhält, war für uns die falsche Wahl… wir sind ab Tag 2 in eines der weiteren Restaurants gegangen und haben den Aufpreis bezahlt - dann aber sehr lecker und auf völlig anderem Niveau gegessen.

Die Infrastruktur ist nicht mehr 5 Stern konform. Der Garagebereich ist eines 5 Stern Hotel unwürdig. Die Bar Lounge ist ungemütlich, stark herunter gekühlt.

The hotel facilities and service are excellent and the staff are all wonderful. Our third stay and we are returning in a month.

Sorry but the quality and cooking in the El Patio half board restaurant are extremely poor and in some cases the food either mainly blend or inedible. Surely a good cook can make proper Minestrone, proper Pizza, proper Paella ?? Hotel needs to review whole setup as it reflects so poorly on what is otherwise a great hotel.

Sehr schöner Beach-Bereich mit guter Küche! Sehr aufmerksames Personal - wir wurden 2x vom hauseigenen Auto gefahren bzw. Abgeholt (ispät am Abend).

We loved the room and the hotel generally - staff were amazing and the entertainment each night was a lovely surprise. Beach is amazing and not crowded. Really enjoyed our stay

The buffet was very hit and miss - the chicken on the first night wasn’t fully cooked. We regretted not eating more in the Al a carte restaurants. However Al a carte were also expensive. There was also construction work behind the red level on a new hotel. It wasn’t very distracting but would have preferred not to see the cranes etc at the same time!

Breakfast was great, a varied selection and the chefs cooked delicious omelettes to order. We had half board too, so dinner was included- once in the buffet and twice in the a la carte restaurant, to be honest they were both great and service was impeccable. My room was peaceful and the bed was super comfortable- and I am very fussy! The bathroom was beautiful and spacious.

Although the food was great I would have preferred much more variety. Majority of the restaurants at the venue had the same foods.

The staff at the hotel were all very professional and friendly. The hotel facilities, for example the pool areas, restaurants, beach bar and bars were fantastic. The fact it was on the beach was great. We stayed in the red level rooms which gave access to a separate breakfast room and almost unlimited snacks and drinks.

There was nothing we didn’t like but the 2* Michelin Restaurant Alevante was not to our liking, and taking into account the high cost of the meal and wine pairing was disappointing. Think carefully on your food preferences before booking.

Executive lounge closes early, just when most people would use it for coffee and a drink after dinner. Spent a lot of money at the beach bar. Only sweet snacks in the lounge during in the day. Unlike other savoury tapas at other Gran Melias.
