Beautiful location, poor service – but I would still return The beach is absolutely beautiful, although getting into the water can be a little difficult. The pool is also very nice and cleaned daily, and the views from the hotel and restaurant are fantastic. Breakfast is quite basic, but there is something for everyone, and the food overall is simple but enjoyable. The biggest disappointment was the service. Housekeeping was very poor – bed linen was not changed regularly, towels were sometimes forgotten, and the overall cleaning standard was unacceptable. The reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and a problem with our room door was never resolved. Despite this, I would actually return. The hotel is older, but the excellent beach, stunning views and reasonable price make it very good value for money. Considering the options in Mondello, it may still be one of the better choices. Improve the housekeeping and reception, and this could be a truly great hotel.

Niestety czystość nie jest na wysokim poziomie. Śniadania są bardzo monotonne nic się nie zmieniają z dnia na dzień . Bardzo źle zejście na plażę kamienista. Basen jest zamykany o 20 razem z plaża więc nawet wieczorem nie można wyjść na spacer. Przed 19 ratownicy już składają leżaki parasole co nie jest komfortowe dla klijetow. Nic nie dzieje się wieczorem w hotelu. Więc to raczej sanatorium dla starszych ludzi

Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Die gesamte Unterkunft ist sehr alt und leider auch sehr schmutzig. Teilweise lagen sogar Zigarettenstummel im Flur. Auf dem Bettlaken waren gelbe Flecken, Haare lagen auf dem Boden und es war eine Fensterscheibe gebrochen. Im Badezimmer hat es geschimmelt. Insgesamt war der Zustand der Unterkunft für mich nicht akzeptabel und ich würde sie aufgrund der mangelnden Sauberkeit und des schlechten Zustands nicht weiterempfehlen.

It seems as though they were actually trained to escalate their unpleasant behavior—rather than simply saying "I'm sorry"—whenever a mistake regarding the hotel or its management occurred. We arrived at 10:30 AM, and the reception desk was aware of our arrival. We fully understood that the room wasn't ready yet; that’s normal—we travel often and get it—so we went to the seaside and didn't return until the official check-in time. However, the room still wasn't ready even at the official check-in time. Each time, I was brushed off by a different person and told I had to keep waiting. What bothers me the most is that no one apologized. It’s such a basic, polite phrase. On the third attempt, the receptionist handed me the room key without saying a word. He didn't explain where things were, when breakfast was served—nothing. We paid 110 euros, but I feel sorry for guests who paid twice as much (or more) and experienced the same treatment. As for cleanliness, that is an area where the hotel really needs to improve. Preparing a room for a new guest involves nothing more than changing the bed linen and towels and emptying the trash bin.

hotel con una visuale incredibile, mare a trecentosessanta gradi merita la camera vista mare per godere completamente di tanto splendore. sicuramente struttura datata e il proprietario ne sara' consapevole, ma cortesia del personale(in particolare la signora Carla della reception, il signor Salvo in sala da pranzo e Gigi al barretto del lido) sono superlativi, ti fanno sentire ospiti speciali Il cibo :colazione molto varia e abbondante,pranzo e cena alla carta con prodotti sempre freschi, una nota spleciale alla preparazione dei piatti tipici locali palerminani e di pesce.dolci e gelati da ricordare

La struttura avrebbe bisogno di una rinfrescata e forse un po' più di attenzione alla pulizia dell'abbigliamento del personale non guasterebbe. Non abbiamo capito, dopo 6 giorni di colazione, il ruolo di Alessio....se fosse un cameriere o un cliente dato che tutte le richieste sono state poi esaudite da altri.....

The AC did not work properly which was very uncomfortable during the July heatwave. We had to move room twice before we were in a room. Generally the hotel, although in a beautiful position and not without charms, is badly in needed of renovation and modernisation.

Had to unfortunately book this hotel before flying out of Palermo, because there was nothing else available. But online didn’t look “too horrible” Because the photos are only the ones they choose, false advertisement, and edited very clearly. We booked through Trip It arrived, there was MOLD EVERYWHERE The room smelt like the sewer, was filthy dirty, and mold throughout the whole property. We left immediately after hotel wouldn’t refund us, we contacted trip It and they were going back and fourth with the hotel, only for the hotel to tell them / us the photos were fake 😆 They are in fact , VERY REAL!!! Staff were the rudest I’ve ever encountered, entitled, rude, hideous and run down. The employees matched the property Stay away!!!

Il mare bello antistante la struttura e la location (anche se Mondello questa estate era un cantiere).

Siamo clienti di questo hotel da molti anni e proprio per questo la delusione provata durante l’ultimo soggiorno è stata ancora più grande. Conosciamo bene la struttura e ne abbiamo sempre apprezzato la posizione e il mare, ma questa volta abbiamo trovato una situazione che non è più all’altezza del livello che ci si aspetta. L’hotel appare ormai vetusto e bisognoso di una seria rinfrescata ovunque (anche nelle camere dove sono presenti serie macchie di umidità sui soffitti). Alcuni servizi, inoltre, sono in condizioni davvero poco accettabili. La palestra, per esempio, era sporca, bagnata a terra, con attrezzature vecchie e alcune non funzionanti. Il pavimento e i tappeti erano talmente sporchi e deteriorati da risultare inutilizzabili. Anche la situazione della piscina ci ha lasciati molto perplessi: durante il nostro soggiorno è stata chiusa dalle autorità per controlli, senza che ci fossero spiegazioni chiare agli ospiti. Inoltre, abbiamo notato che le persone entravano in acqua senza che fosse segnalato alcun obbligo di fare la doccia prima. Sono aspetti che trasmettono una sensazione di scarsa attenzione alla gestione e all'igiene della struttura. Deludente anche il servizio del bar dello stabilimento: alle 13, se non si è effettuata una prenotazione preventiva, è praticamente impossibile trovare qualcosa da mangiare. Noi avevamo prenotato alle 11, ma il nostro ordine è stato perso e ci siamo ritrovati senza quanto richiesto. Quello che ci ha amareggiato di più è stata la mancanza di attenzione nei confronti dei clienti abituali. Ci saremmo aspettati almeno un minimo di considerazione. Al contrario ci è stata assegnata una camera in fondo alla struttura, con vista sul parcheggio, dalla quale si sentivano continuamente rumori di motori, forse riconducibili agli impianti di climatizzazione. Alla reception lo staff è scortese e a malapena saluta.

The hotel is located very close to the beach and restaurants. Just a walking distance The staff at the reception were friendly. The breakfast staff were only trying to be friendly.

There is a problem with the cleaning. Fridge was full of food belonging to previous guests. After the floor has been wiped, the was a smell of dirty water. The breakfast were not impressive. Although there is a swimming pool in the hotel, the water in the pool is salty. So it is like swimming in the sea, but just a pool.

Hotelrecensie De locatie van het hotel is prachtig! Er zijn veel winkels en restaurants in de buurt, waardoor alles makkelijk bereikbaar is. Het uitzicht is werkelijk oogverblindend en maakt het verblijf extra bijzonder.

Hotelrecensie Het hotel komt op ons erg verouderd en saai over. Er zijn nauwelijks activiteiten, muziek of entertainment. Zelfs een balletje gooien of een frisbee in het zwembad was niet toegestaan; je werd hier direct op aangesproken. Dat vonden wij erg jammer, zeker omdat er verder weinig te doen was. Ook de communicatie met het personeel verliep moeizaam. Het zou fijn zijn als het personeel wat meer Engels zou spreken. Wij spraken Engels, maar werden regelmatig in het Italiaans te woord gestaan, waardoor het lastig was om elkaar goed te begrijpen. Daarnaast hebben wij drie dagen achter elkaar gevraagd naar de mogelijkheid van een late check-out. Elke keer werd ons verteld: “Kom morgenochtend terug en vraag het dan.” Uiteindelijk bleek het op de dag van vertrek helemaal niet mogelijk te zijn. Dit vonden wij erg vervelend en vooral frustrerend, omdat we meerdere keren waren teruggestuurd met de verwachting dat het de volgende ochtend geregeld kon worden. Al met al vonden wij het hotel erg weinig sfeer en activiteiten bieden en kan vooral de communicatie met de gasten sterk verbeterd worden.

Nice hotel been here before. Pool staff are excellent beautiful loathe salted water pool . Maids don’t knowledge you… bed ate the worse thing about this hotel very hard it’s like sleeping on a blank of wood , would have stayed longer but can’t sleep on those beds .. nice restaurants shops bars and harbour close by. Reception stafff not smile but overall the hotel is in a beautiful place amazing views. Breakfast was good

I got an email stating all the swimming pools were closed so cancelled, i called reception and was given no explanation, not what your kids want to hear a few days before their holiday.

This was our second stay here. We stayed 10 years ago. Some superb restaurant staff, great food in the main restaurant and the rooms are nice. Great access to pools and the sea, loved all this. I’d stay again there area and hotel is great, but there’s a few things that could be better.

Sadly there was no music in the evenings as there was 10 years ago, and when paying for half board we missed out on paid for meals as you cannot use them for lunch at the pool bar where my children wanted to eat or using the pool bar menu despite it being cheaper.

A szobánk az udvarra nézett! Felújítás volt a másik oldalon és minden féle zajjal zavarták a pihenést! Az udvaron parkoló is volt, ahol kora reggeltől késő estig hangosak voltak a járművek. Kérni akartunk a másik oldalra szobát, amit napi 70 euró felárral kaptunk volna csak meg.

Hotel la Torre is amazing. I was absolutely pleased with my entire experience at Splendid Hotel La Torre. The staff is always welcoming, respectful and helpful. The location is truly spectacular. Sitting right on the edge of the Capo Gallo nature reserve, it offers peaceful surroundings and breathtaking, panoramic views of the Mondello Gulf. The swimming facilities here are excellent. The main outdoor saltwater pool and the direct sea access are fantastic for adults looking to swim in the gulf. At the same time, the hotel features a great freshwater pool and a dedicated children's pool. Additionally, the breakfast is outstanding with options for any taste. It offers a great selection of fresh local foods and international favorites. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Mondello.

Muito bom pequeno almoço, grande variedade de alimentos e reposiçao rapida quando estavam em falta. Esplanada interior e exterior excelentes, serviço de bar razoavel. A localizaçao do hotel, apesar de nao ser central relativamente a praia de Mondello, esta proximo de todos os motivos de interesse.

Durante a nossa estadia um familiar teve uma indisposiçao (enjoos e mal estar no estomago) e foi pedido no restaurante, ainda em hora de atendimento 20h45m, se era possivel confecionar algo muito simples para jantar e o pedido foi recusado.

Da falta de animação no hotel, não havia uma TV numa sala , precisa de remodelação o hotel, nem merece 4*, muitas zonas degradadas do hotel e com falta de cuidados. Fraca comida, fraco pequeno almoço. Vou ter que fazer uma exposição ao Booking, para ser compensada neste hotel, devido á não resolução de um problema com o quarto. Neste hotel nunca mais.

A great location. Old school service in the restaurant. Hotel, rooms and swimming pool are a little outdated but atmosphere is very pleasant. Direct access to the sea makes it even more pleasant. Restaurants are on walking distance. Sandy beach nice but very crowded. Parking is a challenge. Check your bill carefully

Not recommended at all!!! We arrived as a family and were given a filthy room. The baby crib was old and covered in stains. There were stains on the bed sheets and the curtains, and hair was everywhere. This is a very low-standard hotel that seems stuck in the 1970s. The safe didn’t work, and neither did the air conditioning (with 40°C/104°F outside!). Everything is outdated and poorly maintained. The only good thing about this hotel is its location—nothing else. It is absolutely not worth the money. Stay away!

No service - no iron, no sea view (that we paid for, we asked for a refund but they refused), plug in bath didn’t work, service at breakfast was poor with waiters who were clearly locals ignoring us. My fiancee and I began high fiving when we managed to get a coffee. Which happened 2 of the 3 times we went, the first required that we walked into the kitchen to get one. The most awful hotel, would not recommend to anyone.

Najbardziej podobała nam się bliskość do morza, do plaży. Śniadania bardzo dobre, na bieżąco wszystko było dokładane. Najlepszy był Giovanni - przychodząc na śniadanie od razu witał swoim uśmiechem 🙂 aż dzień stawał się lepszy. Serdecznie go pozdrawiamy. Basen duży z wodą morską, zejście do morza, możliwość korzystania z basenów za hotelem oraz plaży. Mieliśmy problem z klimatyzacją w jednym pokoju, dostaliśmy drugi, gdzie wszystko było dobrze

The Hotel was unbelievable, very comfortable for solo travelers. Service was over the top, food was excellent (I had Breakfasts + Dinners). The excess to beaches was convenient. A terrace for sunbathing was excellent as well. The location was great. The view was unbeatable. This hotel is NOT for people with small children (not under 10 years)

Hotel ist für Italien-Verhältnisse grundsätzlich modern ausgestattet, auch wenn etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Gutes Frühstücksangebot. Eigener Meerzugang vom Hotel (Felsstrand) und großer Pool mit Salzwasser.

Sauberkeit in den Zimmerm lässt zu wünschen übrig (Flächen waren alle staubig), aus der Klimaanlage hat es unangenehm nach Fisch gerochen. Beim Frühstück wurden ausschließlich Plastikbecher zum Trinken zur Verfügung gestellt - im Jahr 2026 unnötig und eines 4-Sterne-Hotels nicht würdig. Die Dusche ist winzig, fast kein Platz zum Duschen.

The hotel was in a great location with beautiful sea views. The pool was amazing - so big and even though the hotel was busy it didn't feel overcrowded. The hospitality staff were friendly and helpful.

The aircon in our initial room wasn't working properly, with temps reaching 29 degrees! After complaining we were moved to another room which was so much cooler. We also found that the reception staff weren't very friendly. They could learn alot from the hospitality staff! A little smile goes a long way!

Bathrooms don't have functioning bathroom vantilation! There's something that looks like it but it doesnt work- they said its just a hole in the ceiling - there is no fan bahind it(or window),and it will air out when the wind blows! We thought they were joking, but the didnt! Insane Alson mattress is extremely firm, too hard, you ache when you wake up

We are a family of 4 and spent a week in the Splendid Hotel. Overall had a lovely time. Room: We had a room for 4, be aware that quadruple rooms do not have a balcony, but we did have a lovely view of the sea. Its not a fancy room but its completely fine. Food: Breakfast was nice, lots of choice. Lunch was a bit expensive but tasty. We didnt try dinner. All the staff are very kind and friendly. Pools: brilliant, quiet (no obnoxious music) and amazing views. Lovely outdoor spaces. Access to the sea etc. Mondello: we loved mondello village, lots of restaurants, a nice vibe. I will say though the amount of litter in Mondello is awful. Beach: do youself a favour, go on a week day as its rammed with locals at the weekend, and book a sunbed at a lido. We booked two sunbeds, unbrella and chair for €40. Palermo: Such a cool city, reminds me of Barcelona. Ace atmosphere, loads of restaurants and culture. Again, sadly litter everywhere.

The Splendid Hotel is in a beautiful location, with a nice salt water pool.

The property needs some love, a good makeover would help. Some beautiful plants at the pool, breakfast area. The beds were so uncomfortable and hard, and the sea area is not swimmable. To swim you must pay down the street at one of the payable beaches. The food at the restaurant was not very good, Caesar salad was with cream dressing, the pasta was strange. It was not splendid but definitely more of a *** star hotel.

We were given a better Seaview balcony room after we complained our aircon wasn't working. The new location was great and the views stunning. I would go back.

The fact that when the cleaner phoned through to the reception for us, they just said the aircon wasn't working. I would expect a room change immediately, I had to complain to get one.

Personale qualificato,stanze pulite e confortevoli. Accesso al mare e aperitivo al tramonto meraviglioso. I ragazzi della piscina top. Colazione con servizio e vista mare Top.

The view from this Hotel is breathtaking..From drinks on the terrace to the picture postcard view from the swimming pool.On check in we were upgraded from a standard room to a green room with a balcony . Delighted with this complimentary upgrade..Our room 212 was at the front of the hotel, it was a Saturday night and we were kept awake till the early hours with music from a bar accross the road.We complained twice that night but were told it wasnt in the hotel so not their problem.Not good enough in my opinion.

Śniadanie szwedzki stół, wszystko pyszne, kolacja podawana z karty, większość owoce morza ale warto przez tydzień próbować codziennie coś innego. Widok przepiękny, zejście do morza rewelacja, po schodach jakby prosto ze statku.

Wszystko byłoby ok, kolacja za późno bo dopiero o 20.00, przy plaży mondello brak prysznica po zejściu z plaży, ale ogólnie plaża i morze piękne

It has excellent location and beautiful view

There was renovation on going building job and air conditioning wasn’t working and was very disappointing Also there was Not much facility available at the pool. Not much choice of drink such as coffee and tea . Morning pool starts at 9 am and finished at 8 pm. Which is not good time specially in summer you could start at 7 am till 9 pm. Even sometimes they start closing the pool before 8. At 7.45 they start closing the pool.

Room was on top floor, probably under an air-condition compressor which was rythmically vibrating and making a loud noise.

This hotel has one of the most magnificent views on the sea that I have ever experienced. The rooms are spacious with a beautiful terrace overlooking perfect blue. The swimming pool is clean and great for real swimmers or lounging in the hot afternoons. Access to a magnificent blue sea!

The hotel could use a little pimping up and looks very 80's style although it is one of the things I like about it. Staff could sometimes be a little quicker at responding to questions or demands. Parking is very complicated.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis zu teuer, da Ausstattung heruntergekommen: Leiter in den Pool verrostet und wackelig, jeden Tag war eine andere Außendusche defekt, Teppiche in den Fluren abgetreten und oft dreckig, Überzüge der Stühle im Frühstücksaal verschmutzt, Dusche im Zimmer ließ sich schlecht regulieren, Klimaanlage kühlte kaum runter ... Rezeptionsservice ausbaufähig: Da alle Nachbarn Liegen auf ihrem Balkon hatten, fragt wir nach welchen - wurden zugesagt, kamen aber nie; Aushänge für Palermo und Material für Bootstour, das man uns gab, veraltet

Front desk staff lady in particular, no info on hotel. Made you wait for room keys with no justification or politeness. Bathroom toilet flush broke twice while I stay there. Very dated property. Great potential

Das Hotel liegt an einem wunderschönen Ort mit einem Pool auf der Terasse. Über eine Treppe kann man auch im Meer baden. Herrliche Aussicht

Es waren keine Parkplätze vorhanden. Das Abstellen des Autos erwies sich als ganz schwierig um das Hotel herum

Al mattino la piscina e le strutture forse aprono un po’ tardi, ma come tutte le attività a Mondello, in piena estate alle nove per certa gente potrebbe essere un po’ tardino

After seeing some of the negative reviews on here, I felt the need to write this after my recent visit. The hotel's location is unbeatable. The views are just spectacular and you could spend all day in the outside seating areas just watching the world go by. My interactions with reception staff, the pool side area and the waiters at breakfast were all pleasant and they were all very happy to help with whatever I asked for. The hotel was very clean, and it looks like they are making improvements to some of the older areas, for example the bar area looked very fresh. Thank you to the hotel for a memorable and enjoyable stay.
