Overlooked a busy dual carriage way , the train ran right at the back of the pool. We booked this hotel also because of the pool, however the pool is in desperate need of maintenance, it was dirty, tiles missing , green moss everywhere black grit like substance all around the edge ,it desperately needed cleaning as did the lounge area, surprising as the rest of the hotel was clean.

Non essere venuti minimamente incontro al cliente. Capisco che il regolamento dava ragione a loro ma almeno un piccolo rimborso o un voucher parziale spendibile in un altro momento ci poteva essere!

Ruime kamer en gezellige ontbijtzaal

Zwembad heel klein met weinig ligbedden. Locatie was niet zo leuk, echt auto nodig om ergens naartoe te gaan. Voor ons niet erg want hadden een huurauto. Maar toch steeds wel minimaal half uur rijden.

Miła i pomocna obsługa. Dobre jedzenie i wino.

Basen wymaga delikatnego remontu. Dźwięk pompy od wody w hotelu słychać w pokoju 99 98 całą noc i pewnie w pozostałych z tej strony.

Petit déjeuner pauvre, et le personnel ne rajoutait pas d’aliments lorsque ceux-ci étaient finis. Et pas de possibilité de manger à l’extérieur sous prétexte que les tables n’étaient pas propres à l’extérieur alors qu’à midi et le soir on pouvait y manger. Je ne peux qu’en déduire que le personnel ne voulais faire la mise en place dehors.

Das Zentrum mit etlichen Restaurants ist fußläufig gut erreichbar. Das Hotel bietet sich sehr gut für Tagesausflüge in der Umgebung an. Das Frühstück war für italienische Verhältnisse gut und der Parkplatz war optimal. Das Hotel bietet auch ein Restaurant für den Abend an. Die Pizzen waren dort sehr gut!

Dem Poolbereich würde vermutlich eine Sanierung (Liegen/ Schirme) gut tun aber alles in allem ist er in Ordnung.

posto molto bello, personale gentilissimo e super accogliente. Le signore all'accettazione molto carine entrambe, ci hanno aiutato consigliandoci bene per i nostri itinerari, dandoci delle dritte su dove trovare parcheggio, sull'intensità del traffico in determinate ore.

Avrei preferito una stanza in alto con vista panoramica ma soprattutto lontana dal sala del ristorante, che era il nostro soffitto. Una notte probabilmente per riordinare i tavoli abbiamo avvertito un rumore discontinuo provenire dall'alto. Ma fortunatamente è stato un episodio isolato

The hotel is located in a beautiful area with sea views. Our room had direct access to a terrace overlooking the sea, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was clean, comfortable, and cleaned every day. Breakfast was tasty and offered a good variety of sweet options.

The hotel is located close to a railway line and a busy road, which made it quite noisy at times. The steep uphill walk to the hotel can also be challenging if you are not travelling by car. Although the room was clean, there was an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which seemed to be covered up with air fresheners. The breakfast lacked variety when it came to vegetables, with only cherry tomatoes and cucumbers available. Around the pool, many of the sun loungers were worn out, and there were not enough umbrellas. The umbrellas were not arranged very well, so guests often had to move them around themselves to create some shade.

Hotel has character and wonderful European feel. Loved having balcony to enjoy the view of the sea. Excellent restaurant for dinner as well as the breakfast

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt an der Hauptstr. und bietet eigene Parkplätze.Guter Standort um fußläufig in die Altstadt zu gelangen. Geräumige Zimmer mit Terrasse und Sitzgelegenheit. Frühstücksbuffet mit guter Auswahl . Sehenswerte Altstadt mit vielen Restaurants und Cafes. Der Karnevalsumzug war absolut sehenswert und findet in der gesamten Altstadt an unterschiedlichen Plätzen statt.Karneval wird hier an mehreren Wochenenden im Januar und Februar gefeiert.

Durch die direkt vor dem Hotel verlaufende Hauptstraße gibt es entsprechenden Verkehrslärm.

The hotel itself was nice, good location for the wedding we were attending. The room was decent. And staff were mostly friendly.

We had a bad impression before we arrived. We booked the hotel back in November 2024 for our stay from 15th - 21st May 2025 , for a wedding in the area, and an extended stay for a birthday. No issues until late March 2025 (6 weeks before the wedding) we receieved an email from the hotel saying they had a big group booking & could no longer accommodate us for the final night of our stay - FOUR MONTHS after we had originially booked. Not our problem that you've since had a larger booking - that is a shocking reason to cancel someone's booking. As the 20th was the previously mentioned birthday, we decided not to travel that day, & as this hotel was convenient for the wedding, we had no choice but to stay & leave on the 19th instead. Meaning our vacation was cut short by 2 days. This meant planning flights again & trying to find alternate arrangements for 2 days. Not a stress we needed that close to the trip when we planned it months before that. Other things while we were there that also contributed to a bad experience: - Given the wrong room on arrival (booked a junior suite & were put in a regular room) - Air con broke - The hotel becomes a restaurant on a saturday evening. ALL public spaces are closed off for reservations. Nowhere for guests to sit & have a drink or socialise. When we complained about this, we were told we could sit in the tiny reception lobby crowded round a small table (9 of us). Perhaps put your guests first who are paying money to be there. Or make this clear in the hotel listing. We asked on the 1st day if we could have food brought to one of the communal areas where two of our party were working remotely. And we were told that their rules state that food can only be eaten in the restaurant & they are not allowed to serve food anywhere else, only for ALL communal areas to become a restaurant 48 hours later, and we werent even allowed to sit there. Contradicting everything they had said before.

Pokoje są czyste i wygodę łóżka. Hotel jest stary, ale zadbany. Wyjście z pokoju bezpośrednio na ogród i widok na morze - rewelacja. Śniadania smaczne, chodzisz bardzo mały wybór. Za to widok w restauracji na morze piękny ! Basen był brudny ale to jesień była, więc może dlatego. 20min pieszo do centrum miasta.

Słaby wybór na śniadaniu, w niedzielę to już wogole było kiepsko.

Great and rich breakfast. We had the room with the private jacuzzi and it was a great stay. The room was clean, with a sea view and a comfortable bed.

The staff was ok but a bit cold; I would expect it to be a bit more gentle, above all at the reception. When we left for example I was expecting them to ask me how was our stay or other things I generally hear (hope you had a good stay, hope you come back soon, etc); I paid my bill and that was it, not even a "Thank you".

Lo staff sia della reception sia del ristorante è stato accogliente e sorridente e ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Colazione molto buona e varia tra dolce e salato con prodotti freschi e tradizionali ma si trova anche bacon e uova a temperatura calda per chi gradisce...per chi ha necessità si trova anche qualcosa confezionato (esempio pane di segale, gallette di riso ecc ...) e sono forniti per il latte "senza lattosio". Possibilità di pranzare/cenare nel ristorante che si trova nell albergo. La camera era comoda, letti molto confortevoli con doppi cuscini, abbiamo riposato molto bene. Kit cortesia ben fornito e molto utile (tris di asciugamani, saponi di vario tipo, shampoo, balsamo e crema corpo, cuffie e spugna pulisci scarpe). Il parcheggio è interno al cancello, uno spiazzale un po' più largo proprio all entrata e uno in po più piccolo salendo verso la reception. Pulizia apprezzabile. Nel complesso la struttura che è molto grande è ben tenuta e piacevole.

La zona del parcheggio ed entrata è un po buia ed il cancello d ingresso è situato proprio vicino alla curva che si immette nella strada, quindi per chi non conosce il posto è facile sbagliarsi e andare più avanti alla ricerca dell entrata dell albergo, anche con il navigatore acceso. Inoltre sarebbe opportuna un po' di manutenzione nei bagni in camera (per fare esempi: cambio tavoletta del wc che risulta macchiata ma non perché manca di pulizia.. o il silicone della doccia che ha della muffa e fa apparire la doccia sporca... cose così) però magari, essendo una catena di alberghi, bisogna attendere che le disposizioni vengano date dalla sede centrale, non saprei. Nonostante sia specificato che la piscina è stagionale e quindi in inverno non si può fare il bagno, dato che rimane scoperta e facilmente visibile, sarebbe stato bello vederla pulita e anche con la manutenzione fatta (il mosaico ha diversi pezzi saltati). La moquette nei corridoi credo sia un po' desueta.

Pokój z pięknym widokiem. Dostaliśmy co prawda pokój z widokiem na płot- ale pani z recepcji nam go wymieniła. A więc dostaliśmy ostatecznie bardzo ładny Pokój. Śniadanie- ok. Kawa była pyszna. Ale nie było dużo warzyw. Jajka musieliśmy sobie sami ugotować. To było dosyć zabawne. Duży wybór słodkości. Bezpłatny parking.

Mały hotel w spokojnej okolicy, widok na morze, taras, dobre śniadania, restauracja dostępna w hotelu, czysto, miła obsługa.

Tylko jeden z trzech pokojów, które zajmowaliśmy, miał słuchawkę prysznicową, pozostałe miały tylko deszczownicę.

We only booked this great Hotel on the day as had a change to our travel itinerary with hire car. The staff allowed early check-in having our room ready by just after midday. I read the reviews about the restaurant so was hesitant to eat there that night after walking around Catania. The previous restaurant reviews are far from the truth the restaurant in the hotel is excellent, especially the staff, the quality of flavours of food and selection variety was as good as any town in Sicily. They even had a local draft beer very refreshing after a long drive. The room was on the ground floor but well appointed and insulated plus a large double comfy bed and good shower wash room and facilities. We hadn’t booked Ocean views but for a basic room we got great Ocean views and the late checkout time allowed us to walk around the Catania in the morning before driving out to the airport. Couldn’t fault the place and would recommend a short stay here. Reception staff excellent and so helpful and friendly always there with a warm smile. Thank you to all your team. Will recommend this place to our friends in Australia.

Initially seemed fine

My husband and I had booked 2 nights here in September 2025 to travel to see Mount Etna. After checking in, we went to the pool. My husband slipped on the side of the pool due to it being greasy and dirty (he was sober and walking) and suffered a serious cut to his arm. I went to reception to ask for help and bandages. I was given a bottle of antiseptic and some small wipes - it would appear the hotel don’t have a first aid box. Due to the severity of the injury we decided we needed to go to hospital and Valeria the manager drove us there for which we were grateful. My husbands arm was cleaned and told he needed stitches. After waiting over three and a half hours and with no view on when we would be seen, we left the hospital and returned to the hotel. The next morning we showed Valeria the manager the side of the pool where he fell and she agreed it needed urgently cleaning. We then walked to a local pharmacy to buy bandages and sterile strips and did our best to bandage his arm. The pool side wasn’t cleaned that day which I found astonishing given one of your guests had had to go to hospital due the hotel’s negligence and lack of cleaning. We warned a German couple to be careful who were also at the pool. My husband’s blood was also still on the tiles. The next morning we checked out. Nothing was said and I had to ask if there was going to be a discount considering what had happened. Reluctantly it was agreed to pay for the meal we had had. There are previous mentions on Booking.com reviews about the state of the pool. I write to the hotel and Best Western asking for a further discount and for the 23.40 euros to be refunded at the very least that we paid at the pharmacy but they have refused saying they need ti see the paperwork from the hospital (we were not given any paperwork). The hotel have failed in their duty of care to customers and I am very angry and upset about what happened.

Séjour agréable au best western santa caterina, jolie chambre et bon petit-déjeuner. Pour aller en centre ville c'est une petite promenade depuis l'hôtel. A noter que le restaurant est vraiment bon et les prix ne sont pas très chers. y avons dîné et n'étions pas déçus.

We verbleven hier 1 nacht voorafgaande aan onze terugvlucht vanaf Catania airport en kregen een upgrade naar een junior-suite die heerlijk ruim was. De luchthaven is vanaf het hotel makkelijk te bereiken. Het restaurant was verrassend goed. Vakkundige bediening, mooie gerechten.

De badkamer kon wel enige renovatie gebruiken. Het zwembad oogt leuk maar is ook toe aan een onderhoudsbeurt vanwege veel losse tegeltjes.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The view was pretty nice for the area but there isn't a great lot to see around here. The pool area looked nice, if a little small. That said, we didn't have time to use it!

Unfortunately we arrived quite late but everything closed fairly early - even the bar. All we could get for breakfast was a toastie. I guess its a small hotel so it would be expensive to man a bar and restaurant all day

Everything was amazing, the room is not big, but cozy and has a nice outdoor area; location is convenient for walking to the city; big parking if you have/rent a car and amazing restaurant! Also the employees are very friendly, they made us feel very welcome!

Le confort de la literie, la vue, l'emplacement de l'hôtel, le personnel sympathique.

La salle de bain et la piscine mériteraient d'être rénovées. L'insonorisation des chambres serait à faire car nous entendions les gens dans les chambres voisines et le couloir. Et dommage que les fruits du petit-déjeuner ne soient pas mûrs.

Chambre exiguë et lit prétendument qu’en size mais en fait de petite taille ! Cuisine très moyenne. Petit-déjeuner acceptable pour les lève-tôt…

The location near a train station was ideal for us. A typical BW had a pool a bar and restaurant.

Soggiorno molto piacevole al Best Western Santa Caterina. L’aria condizionata è davvero ottima (un sollievo con il caldo siciliano!) e le stanze sono spaziose e pulite. La colazione è abbondante e varia, con prodotti freschi. Lo staff si è dimostrato sempre gentile e disponibile Nel complesso, hotel consigliato per la qualità delle stanze e dell’accoglienza, ma la piscina va sicuramente migliorata

Unica nota dolente: la piscina. Sarebbe da rivedere perché il bordo è scivoloso e in alcuni punti le piastrelline si staccano. Inoltre il bordo in pietra/marmo è un po’ tagliente: mio figlio si è graffiato più volte. Con un restyling sarebbe perfetta. Inoltre, segnalo la presenza di un cactus vicino alla piscina: piegando il telo mare l’ho urtato per errore e ho passato mezz’ora a togliere spine dalla mano. Per gli adulti è solo fastidioso, ma per i bambini potrebbe essere pericoloso.

Has a nice view and situated not far from the centre.

Our room didn’t have a balcony and window facing pool area. Not much privacy and had to keep curtains closed while we were in the room.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. Our room, a junior suite, has a magnificent space , with to balconies with sea views. The resturant offered excelent food at reasonable prices, and have a lovely terrace to enjoy the summer nights. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was ok but nothing remarkable.

The property would benefit from some renovation, particularly in the bathroom and swimming pool, where signs of wear are noticeable and several tiles are missing.
