Hyatt Regency Dongguan

I was truly impressed by this property. Walk paths in an area with lots of nature and a huge beautiful lake. I got upgraded to a Lake View room in a top floor. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Quick check in and check out. Luxury hotel.

The room was spacious, luxurious, and comfortable. The breakfast was also luxurious and delicious.

The hotel is clean and tidy. Staffs at front desk are very friendly. Overall, it's a very nice hotel.

I often stay at this hotel. There are tennis courts in the hotel. we usually enjoy tennis at there.

the hotel is huge and in a nice location. great for long walks etc. not all hotel facilities are well maintained especially outside and you can see that it's old for China. The gym, pool and spa are is the super good! Good hotel if you just want to do stuff like that, there's not much else

Expansive hotel on Songshan Lake. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Plenty of food options including a large multi-station buffet restaurant. Fork out for the lake view rooms - I think most have a bath on the private balcony. A conference hotel during the weekend but a very busy vacation hotel on weekends. Good value and decent property.

I found bugs/droppings on a few occasions granted, they probably snuck in through cracks in the door and were plentiful in the rainy season. My shower heavily leaked water all over the bathroom floor. The bathtub on the balcony combined with king sized bed and regular room service is in total, an awesome value, sure, there are blemishes in quality in some spots but for the most part, for the money, this was a wonderful room to stay in.

The laichee trees inside the property is very nice.

Great property beautiful, but rooms are older. Food is very good a lot of tourist stay here.

Short business trip to Dongguan

Nice modern hotel. Good service for a hotel in China, where service from local employees can be underwhelming. Check in could have been better. The lady who checked me in didn't bother to make eye contact and didn't bother to let me know where the elevators were located or what time breakfast would be served - something that's regular at 5 star establishments. The room was clean and modern. Wifi was good, and the breakfast spread was adequate.

On of the best hotels that I have stayed at in China. Stayed many times. Beautiful area, great restaurants and more. Excellent breakfast. Excellent service.

The property is amazing. Right on the lake and there are fruit trees everywhere. Service was top notch with employees walking you everywhere you need to go. On two ocassions I asked where something was and the staff stopped what they were doing and walked me where I needed to go.

Nice clean and spacious hotel. You wake up in the morning to a beautiful view. The grounds are kept clear and the hospitality is amazing.

Not a good stay this time. Service was surprisingly bad. When we checked in, the staff seemed not to welcome us. The pillows were not comfy. The indoor pool was not clean enough. Staff instruction wasn't clear. Quite a few of them could only understand Mandarin, which making them not at a high standard.

Good facility, breakfast is good, but over prices.

I have stayed here many times and compared to other hotels with US names in the area this one needs to step its game up.

We were here for work and did not have a chance to use all the facilities but it was great. We stayed at the Club level and the Club room and accommodations were perfect.

The Hyatt Regency Dongguan is situated on the Shon Shan lake and is a beautiful property surrounded by many gardens. The restraunts are high end and the service is excellent. Although a bit pricey compared to other hotels in Dongguan and there is poor access by foot to food outside of the hotel, I will stay here again if possible.

I had an enjoyable stay, I particularly enjoyed the free yoga and the spa. The buffet is extraordinary. The rooms are a very good size and very comfortable for working in or relaxing. The only thing is that is such a large hotel, I tend to prefer smaller ones but the staff were really attentive and friendly which made it feel a bit more intimate.

Great food and the staff are very nice with good English.

Hardwares are good; but the interior fit-out decorative materials are a bit behind trendy. Jacuzzi pool is excellent!!

I asked Concierge about the boat schedule from Humen to Hong Kong airport. I am surprised they knew nothing about it. They could find out easily from the web.

I would recommend anyone to stay here. Great price and comfort factor.

Nice hotel and good food, location was okay buy not much to do near the hotel.

On a business trip in China we stayed at three different hotels. This was by far, my favorite. we were pleasantly surprised and rate this a 1st class hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful checking in and when we needed to call a cab. Our room overlooked the lake and the weather was nice so we could keep our balcony doors open and get a nice breeze. The standard size room was more than big enough for the two of us as well as the bathroom. You have to call for an iron which is fine if you are not in a hurry. Breakfast buffet was delicious.

Breakfast is super pricey coming from the United. Normally the food in China is super cheap and reasonable compared to the states, but prices are the same if not higher then the US.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever been in. It has an amazing park-like setting with nice walking paths. Beautiful view from the window. Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Convenient to the many factories I visit in Dongguan.

It's a fantastic hotel. Very friedly staff always with a smile. Very good fitness center. Excellent food.

The hotel was one of the best stay it had at a hotel in years.

I have stayed numerous times and will continue to do so. The service level is high, the pricing reasonable, and the location is relaxing - although a little remote.

Really great service, especially for China. Restaurants were good. Gym was also very nice, but the pool water quality was substandard - but was closed the next day for routine cleaning. (Clean the pool more frequently!) Huge, and located right on Song Shan Lake - very nice - in a park setting. Skip the scorpion soup (not worth it) but good restaurant choices in the hotel and an ex-pat oriented looking place outside the hotel.

Comfy beds, super clean rooms, good variety of food to eat.

Food in both the grill and the chinese restaurant is excellent, however, the information regarding wifi from the reception desk is very confusing, the reception desk girls need more training, they even forget to include the dinner bill on the hotel invoice.

A little out of the way, but if the location suits. Very good hotel.
