Service is so-so. No water in the rooms, only in bar at additional price, no vanity kits, shower caps, or any essentials in bathroom. Very narrow entrance, not good for cars. Located right above most noisy restaurant with live very loud music until 1-2 AM, no way to sleep. Smell of cigarettes in all building

posizione fantastica e personale disponibilissimo; Ivan alla reception ci ha aiutato moltissimo anche ad organizzare le nostre cene. La colazione di buon livello anche se proporrei una maggior presenza degli splendidi prodotti siciliani.

Struttura un po datata che, se adeguatamente ristrutturata, potrebbe esprimere enormi potenzialità. Consiglio soprattutto di rivedere la possibilità per la clientela di poter avvicinarsi con mezzi propri alla struttura almeno per lo scarico/carico dei bagagli; per persone non proprio atletiche è problematico arrivara a piedi con i bagagli dal parcheggio di porta Catania.

Zentral gelegen. Über einige Stufen guter Zugang aus der Fußgängerzone. Unser Zimmer war ganz oben mit einer eigenen Terrasse und einen traumhaften Blick über Taormina und di Gegend.

Sehr enge zugeparkte Einfahrt zum Haupteingang. Nach dem Entladen des Autos muss man rückwärts die Einfahrt wieder hinauf. Da muss man schon sicher fahren können. Aber das ist „Bella Italia“ und gehört hier dazu.

Short walk to shopping and food. Location excellent.

Air conditioning didn't work for the entire stay. Did'nt sleep much. Could not show standing up because water would floor entire floor. I complained to the guy at front desk (guy with beard) and said the AC was water ang that was all it could do. Paid premium price for sleepless nights. Will never book this place again.

Lokalizacja oraz taras, na którym można było skonsumować śniadanie, które było typowym włoskim śniadaniem - a więc bardzo dobre. Słodkości smakowite, duży wybór owoców, pieczywa, wędlin.

Stosunek ceny do standardu pokoju, lodówka za dodatkową opłatą (brak w pokoju), brak możliwości regulowania klimatyzacji. Brak prywatności na balkonie, który dzielony był z innym pokojem, na dodatek znajdował się pod tarasem, w otoczeniu czterech ścian, w mikro dziedzińcu technicznym. Nie zawsze dało się również wejść do obiektu od strony głównej ulicy, co skutkowało koniecznością zawrócenia i przejściem dookoła

The staff was very polite and always ready to help and share very useful information. The location of the hotel is perfect, 2 min from the main street in the old town of Taormina. The rooftop bar had a stunning view of the city and the ancient theater.

Una terrassa xulíssima des d'on veure tota la ciutat i el volcà. L'habitació que em van donar molt senzilla i dos llits enlloc d'un, però confortable. Soroll de passadissos des de l'habitació.

Un accueil tardif (très tardif même du fait de l’éruption de l’Etna) très chaleureux et agréable par le jeune homme de la réception. Un petit balcon pour profiter de l’atmosphère de la ville et une position idéale pour profiter de la ville. Roof top très sympa également !

Petit déjeuner correct mais pas incroyable (notamment les jus extrêmement chimiques et acides), petite modernisation des salles de bain à prévoir peut-être ? mais sinon RAS

L'arredamento della camera da rinnovare, camera troppo piccola, ci si muoveva a malapena in due, mancanza del bidet e del frigobar, hotel è rimasto fermo agli anni settanta. Rapporto qualità prezzo non soddisfacente.

Il costo della camera non è stato,a mio avviso, coerente. Molto piccola la stanza, affaccio interno senza vista, bagno molto piccolo e molto scomodo, senza considerare la doccia con tendina fastidiosa di plastica e piatto doccia praticamente 50x50. Posizione in alto, particolare come il sistema piani confusionario dovuto alla particolare conformazione dell’hotel La colazione varia, ma non di ottima qualità… Con Taormina che sta diventando sempre più una meta super esclusiva, i prezzi sono molto aumentati , ma non sono coerenti con la qualità offerta.

La struttura è molto centrale, a due passi dalla piazza principale raggiungibile con una seconda entrata al piano terra, perché si suddivide in piu livelli.

La colazione! Un disastro, prodotti confezionati che probabilmente non compri neanche al supermercato per casa tua, oltre a prodotti esclusivamente congelati e confermato dallo staff…mi aspettavo di meglio o qualcosa di tipico considerando il posto in cui si trova. Struttura un po datata, probabilmente per mantenere la storicità del posto, peró andrebbe migliorata sia esteticamente che gli interni e gli arredi

Fantastic location right in the centre. Some rooms have lovely balconies with views. Rooftop bar had an incredible view of Mount Etna and the Roman Amphitheatre

Rooms were very small. We rented three rooms and one was spacious and totally renovated. Two were small and needed renovated but hard to look past the value, the views and location.

Nikdo nevyřešil můj problém, fotografie pokoje neodpovidali realite. Spinava koupelna v pokoji velke vlhko, vyhled na schody. Postel nebyl postel ale kovova přistylka. V koupelne byly vlasy. Snidaně v italii si predstavuji jinak a ne furt dokola kompotovane ovoce. Kafe v termosce!!! Halooo? V dnesni dobe? V italii??? Hrozné!!! Jediny pozitivum pro cisnika v baru a recepcniho jinak totalni katastrofa. A za výhled zaplatit takovou sumu je nesmysl! Ja zaplatila kvuli snidanim a ne kvuli vyhledu ktery tam je vsude. Katastrofa nikdo nevyresil reklamaci hned par minut po nasem prijezdu!

Das Hotel hat eine außergewöhnlich gute Lage! Der Ausblick vom Balkon aus Richtung Meer und Richtung Ätna ist absolut spektakulär. Wir konnten den Ausbruch des Ätna live vom Balkon aus beobachten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstück ist sehr gut und alles ist sehr sauber. Der Parkservice ist extrem praktisch, da man sich so die lästigen engen Parkhäuser sparen kann. Wir würden immer wieder dieses Hotel buchen. Einfach perfekt!

The terrace on the top is nice, but the opening hours are not so convenient.

Unfortunately, didn't get the chance to stay at the hotel, even though we booked it. The day of the arrival, I sent a message to the hotel informing we are already in Taormina and asking what time should we expect to check-in. No answer. Upon arriving at the location at 15pm 38°C outside, me being pregnant, the lady at the reception began to explain how there's a problem with the room we booked, we can't stay there and they have no other spare room for us. They offered us a stay in a nearby hotel, about a 5-min walk down the street, not even asking if we're fine with that. A man from the staff showed us how to get there and sent us away. The only compromise we got is the fact that we got to use the breakfast we paid for - in the morning we had to walk up from one hotel to the other, have our breakfast and leave. Furthermore, the room we actually stayed in offered conditions far below what we actually paid for - small room, no terrace, a little window right next to the ceiling. The least they could do, was inform us about the situation in advance, not after arriving (I bet they knew about the problem hours before that, if there was such at all, or probably they gave the room to somebody else). Some kind of a refund would have also been an option, but nobody offered any of that. So, I can't share an opinion about the facilities, because even though we paid for a room, we never got to stay in it.

This is a hotel in the most incredible location with the most amazing terrace / and panoramic view but the hotel room and facilities are very dated but this can be totally overlooked by the incredible Terrace and location

The room is like a throwback from the 70s it needs seriously updating and it could be one of the best hotels in the area. It has prime and views, large rooms but the styling and decor is shocking

Great location, close to all the main attractions, restaurants and shops. The beach is a bit farther away, but everything else is very convenient. The housekeeping ladies were lovely and very thoughtful. We had the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, so they left clean towels in a bag outside our room instead, which we really appreciated. The hotel has an old-fashioned charm, and we liked having a small balcony with access to a shared terrace. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out and relax in the lobby until it was time for our bus. It made our last day much more comfortable.

The room didn’t have a fridge, which was a big downside, especially in the summer. Breakfast was quite basic, with very little variety. During our stay, the only eggs available were boiled eggs. The soundproofing isn’t great. We could easily hear people in the hallway and in nearby rooms because of the walls and old wooden doors. There was a restaurant terrace bellow our balcony, with live music. This was enjoyable for the first couple of evenings, but we stayed longer and it became repetitive, with the same songs played every night. During the last few days of our stay, we also had ants in the room. They seemed to be coming in from the hallway, which was unpleasant. We were disappointed that the takeaway breakfast we had arranged with the evening receptionist wasn’t prepared by the morning staff. We also asked about the possibility of a late check-out, but the evening receptionist couldn’t tell us whether it would be available. Overall, it seemed that communication between the staff could have been better.

Hotel is in a great location and not bad value for money considering the cost of alternative hotels in Taormina. We booked a sea view with a terrace and initially were put in a room on the second floor which was quite depressing, dingy and hardly any balcony space, also the air con didn’t seem to work in this room, we asked the front desk to be moved to a room we booked but they advised they couldn’t do anything until the morning. The next day we asked again to move and the man on reception was friendly and eventually moved us to a much nicer room with a large balcony sea view on the 4th floor. The air con worked great in this room and it was much cleaner and slightly more modern. The hotel has direct access to corso Umberto which is great, they also have a rooftop bar with more incredible views.

As above, the stay here seems to very much depend on the room you are staying in.

המיקום מאד מרכזי , ארוחת הבוקר סבירה ביותר, החדר היה דומה לצינוק קטן ביותר מתאים לאדם אחד ולא לזוג. זה לא נקרא חדר סטנדרט , המידות קטנות ביותר . לא היו שידות ליד המיטות , לא היה ויסות ושלט למזגן מדליקים ומכבים מהמתג המרכזי . לא היה מקרר בחדר ועשו לנו טובה שאחסנו את הגבינות שקנינו במקרר שלהם אחרי תחינות הפן באמבטיה היה חלש ומיושן לא היה מרכך שיער ולא נירות וידיו

הכל כתבתי , חדר קטן ללא מקרר ולא עומד בסטנדרטים המלונאים הנני טס הרבה ומעולם לא נתקלתי בחדרון זעיר כזה במחיר מופרז כזה.

Meget centralt i Taormina, få skridt fra det gamle torv. Fin morgenmad, lækker terrasse, god mulighed for opgradering til havudsigt mod tillæg. Hotellet kan hjælpe med at parkere bilen (andetsteds) så man slipper for selv at finde rundt i ensrettede, snørklede gader.

Savnede oplysninger om parkering på forhånd - muligheder fremgår af hotellet egen side/reception, men ikke hos booking.com. Aircondition er centralt styret, dvs man kunne kun vælge tænd/sluk.

The location and the views from the terrace of the room are beautiful. From the roof of the bar you can see mount Etna.

The room was too hot as the conditioner was not powerful enough. And for some reason there are no remote controls in the room to adjust the temperature. They are kept in reception 🤷‍♀️

La camera era bellissima e con una vista spettacolare

Il Vello D'oro è una struttura che conserva la sua autenticità mentre le camere sono state rimodernate. La gentilezza di tutto lo Staff , la sigra Milena, molto gentile e cortese, hanno reso il mio soggiorno molto piacevole.

Un piccolo consiglio per la colazione, sarebbe utile la possibilità di tostare l'ottimo pane.

Saknade hårtork och kylskåp på rummet. AC fungerade inte alls två av våra tre nätter och när den fungerar är den endast igång 15:00-03:00 och 06:00-09:00! Det finns inte heller möjlighet att styra AC:n från rummet. Frukosten var under medel med gröna hårdkokta ägg och mer bakverk än andra frukostvaror. Personalen var ej speciellt tillmötesgående, frågade om det fanns möjlighet att äta frukost 15 minuter tidigare pga tidig hemresa, fick till svar att jag skulle fråga personalen i matsalen och där ifrågasattes vem som skickat dit oss. Frukostpersonalen, tre män, stod i matsalen och pratade och skrattade under tiden vi åt, ganska störande faktiskt.

Läget är jättebra. Fin utsikt över havet, staden och Etna. Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma, både receptionen och de glada städerskorna. 😊

Rummen och det hotellet erbjuder är ganska torftigt. Det finns inte kylskåp på rummen så man kan ha kallt vatten till exempel (som är önskvärt när temperaturen stiger över 40 grader). Man kan inte styra ac.n själv. Man får inte riktiga glas på rummet. Standarden imponerar verkligen inte. Rummen och hotellet har mycket att önska!

Sijainti oli hieno, ylhäällä rinteellä. Läheltä lähti rappuset suoraan pääkadulle. Oli kyllä hieno ympäristö. Meillä oli huone merinäköalalla ja parvekkeella. Jos sitä ei olisi otettu, arviointi paikasta olisi alhaisempi. Hotelli itse oli hieman jo kulahtanut.

Asiakaspalveluun voisi satsata. Aamiaispuolella tervehtiminenkin oli vaikeaa.

L’emplacement est idéal, depuis notre terrasse nous avions une vue magnifique sur l’Etna, sur la mer et sur la ville, l’hôtel bénéficie d’un accès direct sur le cœur du centre piétonnier, tout ceci est vraiment exceptionnel ! La chambre spacieuse et récemment rénovée, est magnifique, le personnel a l’accueil très chaleureux et très à l’écoute, le service de voiturier et de parking parfait !

Les animaux sont acceptés mais leur accès à la salle de petit déjeuner est interdit ce qui nous à valu d’être placé à l’écart dans des conditions qui restent perfectibles .

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room and the hotel in general was very clean, also this hotel has a really good / central location.

I think if this hotel had a swimming pool it would reall enhance the stay also the air con was not controlled within the room which was not ideal.

Széles választék a reggelinél, figyelmes személyzet, fantasztikus elhelyezkedés: az erkélyről a tengert, a várost és az Etnát láttuk.

Nem volt probléma. A La Scala bár zenéje minket nem zavart, jó hely.

Hotelul beneficiază de o amplasare excelentă, chiar în centrul istoric al Taorminei, oferind acces facil la principalele atracții, restaurante și magazine. Camera avea vedere către strada principală, iar în partea dreaptă se putea admira impresionanta siluetă a vulcanului Etna, un peisaj deosebit care completează farmecul locației. Micul dejun a fost destul de simplu, cu o selecție de bază de produse, însă suficient pentru începutul zilei. Conexiunea Wi-Fi a funcționat foarte bine pe toată durata sejurului, fără probleme de stabilitate sau viteză.

Not having control of the AC , there was no kettle or water in room or glasses to drink from but the worse part was the noise from the bar below the music and yelling and singing went on too late I could handle 10 pm but this went to midnight every night it was really loud and dissapointing especially when you need to get up early for our day events
