The hotel is conveniently located, the lobby facilities are well maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The daily buffet breakfast is rich and diverse, combining Chinese and Western styles to satisfy different tastes. Living in this five-star hotel, I experienced meticulous care and excellent service. Ms. Xu was warm and thoughtful, and also introduced the surrounding delicacies and so on. The service of the guest room also makes people feel at home. The hotel facilities are complete. The fitness center, swimming pool, business center, etc. are all very convenient for me. What impressed me was that the hygiene of the hotel was very good, and every corner was as clean as new. During the stay, the service staff responded quickly and provided considerate service. Cost-effective and comprehensive service. The service of this five-star hotel is simply impeccable. The staff is warm and always customer-centered, which makes us feel very warm and comfortable.

Very good hotel and very good value for money.

I have visited this hotel for the last 10 years because there is no other choice in this town. The following is my honest review. The name HJ international is misleading, the hotel caters for local Chinese there’s even a tea room in the bar, nothing wrong with that but I wish the hotel wouldn’t masquerade as an international hotel when they are not. When our foreign clients have stayed at the hotel they weren’t complimentary about the breakfast at all, many were asking to suggest an alternative hotel for their next visit as the food was very poor and not suitable for foreigners. I have only found 2 staff that can speak English in this hotel, the bar is more like a train station waiting room than a bar , very cold , no entertainment , and full of mosquitoes, but the majority of Chinese don’t drink alcohol anyway. If you doing business in Houjie and you don’t want anything else but a bed and shower then I can recommend this hotel. Rooms are spacious but sometimes depending on the room you have you may have a problem with the shower/bath etc. Location is good, there’s a McDonald’s 3 minutes away so you won’t starve, There is a piano that plays constantly in the lobby that drives you crazy. Hotel looks luxurious but the hospitality is cold to non Chinese people, the staff are cold, beer is warm, so don’t have any expectations apart from getting a good night sleep, you will definitely get that because the hotel is under capacity most of the time, if you book an executive room or suite you will be the only one on the floor. Have fun.

Clean - although I did have to change rooms as despite wanting a non smoking room, my first room smelt strongly of smoking - once I got to my next room, it was clean + a good size. The staff have little to no English which made communication difficult, however they did try very hard + had access to a translation app which helped.

As someone who follows a vegan diet, there was very little on offer for breakfast + dinner. Most dishes have animal product - be it eggs, milk, cheese or meat - and due to the language barrier, it was tough to get help on just ordering steamed vegetables and tofu. Eating was not a pleasure at the hotel.

The service given by the Managers and Staff of this hotel is indeed top rate. The breakfast buffet is a mixture of Chinese and Western food of good quality. The rooms are very large, and cleaning service is excellent. Special thanks to Deputy Director Sara Fan for taking extra care of my travel in Dongguan. You all deserve a 5 Star for service.

Phantastischer Service und Komfort. Das Personal super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Küche bekommt einen Extra Stern - Das Frühstück Buffet ist sehr reichhaltig aber für Europäer ein bisschen ungewohnt.

It’s a nice hotel in city center! Newly built and very clean. The rooms are quite big with all amenities. The bathroom has a separate steam cabin. I had a relaxing time after a long day at work. Overall very comfortable stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

厚街近郊では最高なホテルではないでしょうか。 部屋にもよりますが、綺麗で景観も最高。成功者になった錯覚を起こすくらいです！ 是非30階以上に宿泊をお勧めします。朝食も上層階は36階のラウンジでゆっくり採れました。 プール＆ジムも清潔でオフもホテルでゆっくり過ごすことができました。

シャワーの温水が低く、寒いでした。 サウナ設備は、良いです。

cleanliness of the room

The room, bathroom and wardrobe are both big, even equipped with steam room and some fruits. The bed is comfortable.

Hotel is lovely, but I ordered room service one night and was served some raw chicken wings! After being severely sick the following day I made a complaint. The management felt it sufficient to offer me a free £20 buffet! What a joke! to make matters worse on the last day of my stay while having dim sum for breakfast I discovered a raw dumpling! This time I was lucky enough to not eat it. Again I showed the staff, again I complained but they clearly didn't care!

I travel a lot and I use to stay in many hotel using hotels.com or accor hotels. So I have the chance to experience many of them. This hotel is wonderful. It is a pity i couln't get the chance to enjoy all service, just relax in my wide room with a nice steam room. Surel i will be back

The room was big and spacious. The bed was hard in the Elite king, when mentioned to the front desk, I was told all Elite King rooms were this way and needed to upgrade to get softer bed. This hotel has many restaurants but the food in all of them were average. Getting a taxi at the hotel is very expensive and the hotel overcharges for this service. The duty manager who says his name is Sooku that does not wear a name badge, not of Chinese descent and speaks clear English was very rude. If you have a problem don’t expect him to help you. Best stay at the Sheraton across the street.

Really clean rooms and facilities. Amazing quality food services. We were very happy with our stay.

Love the room and the amenities. Also, the location is ok. There were a lot of stores to see nearby. If you want to go to the closest mall, it's around 15 to 20-minute walk.

What a lovely Hotel. Massive rooms with all the tricks. One of the biggest bathrooms I have seen. The executive lounge is terrific and the staff very friendly. Will certainly stay here again. Well placed for easy access to local factories.

Great hotel, modern and new very conveniently located next to shopping centre with grocery store, the elevators are a little slow the executive lounge breakfast is extensive and fresh unfortunately the evening canapés and drinks are very very limited, staff are friendly and mostly speak English

가격대비 객실 훌륭합니다. 1층 식당은 현지식에 맞춰져 있고, 상부 식당은 외국인에 맞춰져 있어서 무난합니다. 아무래도 내국인이 많이 찾아서 그런지 영어 대화시 조금 애로사항이 있고, 주변 동네가 좀 시끄럽기 하지만 쇼핑몰이나 식당 등 편의시설이 많아서 이래 저래 가성비 따져보면 이 동네에 이만한 데는 없을 듯 보입니다.

雖然離展場有幾分鐘的車程但飯店附近有兩個大商場生活機能方便, 住宿時因房間打掃尚未完成飯店人員就主動升級房型, 沒有讓人多等候, 服務滿分.

This is a typical 5 stars Chinese hotel - relatively big rooms with high ceilings, lots of marble etc. The service is good in general, but the staff who doesn't work at the reception basically doesn't speak English. My colleague was not able to order food through in-room service on the 1st attempt. Another disappointment - the staff does not understand the "Don't disturb" signs - I kept it on the door handle the whole day and after 3pm - there were 3 rings and 3 loud knocks on the door, which sounded like a police raid. I thought there was a fire and ran to the door in my underwear. 3-manager looking people were behind the door. "Do you want your room to be cleaned" they've asked? "No, thank you. That's what's the sign was for on the door". On the positive side: clean rooms, comfy bed, LAN internet, lots of shopping around the hotel along with some restaurants within a walking distance.

I stayed 1 night at this hotel ( De luxe room ) and will make sure to go there for my entire stay in Houjie next trip to China . The price & the room quality surpassed there competitor close by . Definitely would recommend this hotel

I love the rooms. Booked a noble executive room. Very big and spacey. Limited English channels- but it’s fine because they had HBO movies.

Have stayed at the HJ several times before for business and this time, after three years was exactly the same high quality.

ゆったり滞在出来て、繁華街も近くバランスがいい。 周りのホテルに比べると、料金はやや割高感はあるものの立地や利便性、滞在時の部屋、朝食の上質感を考えると、充分満足出来るホテル。 部屋での滞在は、高層階からの眺めがいいのはもちろん、部屋自体も充分広く、シャワーブースとバスタブが別になっている構造のバスルームを充分広い。 クローゼットの作りも廊下側とバスルーム側からの双方からアクセス出来る作りになっており利便性が高くストレスが少ない。 部屋を出ると割と騒がしいことの多いホテルが多い中で、ホテルクラスはあるが充分静かに過ごせる環境は素晴らしい。

Positives: - great location - spacious rooms - all areas of the hotel, including the rooms, are clean, tidy and well maintained - big and comfy bed - fast internet, LAN cable - the AC is set away from the bed, so it doesn't bother - the room was pretty quiet compared to a bunch of other hotels in Asia, so the sleep was good - !! awesome chief at the kitchen. A salmon steak was prepared perfectly - not dry and not raw, just right... Other western dishes were delicious too Negatives: - They lost my order for the breakfast, that had been placed in advance. Had 2 calls prior to going to sleep to discuss the details of the ordered dishes and the delivery time, and then when the food didn't show up in the morning - called the duty manager to find that they didn't have this order on file. Prepared a new breakfast 30 mins after the call. It tasted good.. - The beverages are pretty expensive, compared to food. CAD $8 for a cup of coffee :) *** Regardless of the negatives, this is a great hotel and will be #1 on my list for the Houjie / Dongguan area

Great facility but the food is not easy to swallow if you don't like Chinese food!

The twin room is just so big and so is the bathroom. Both the pillow and the bed ate very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and we all enjoy the stay very much! About the buffet dinner on ground floor, the choice is ok with unlimited supply of Carlsberg beer! However, the seafood is disappointed as it's not so fresh! Buffet breakfast is not disappointed and there's freshly brewed coffee. There're many local shops around the hotel but we did not buy anything as the products are not very cheap while they are not attractive. Swimming pool and gmn room are good as well. Overall, it's a nice hotel and I recommend.

The reception girl is really bad and rude They can't find my booking 2 times already and had me waited 30 mins.

酒店房間大舒適度不錯,員工態度和善,設備夠多,清潔度還算滿意,房間佈置有待加強,不是很好使用,電視太小台,電視裝置位置不對,應該要面對床,單椅應該面對電視才對,不應該面對床,改善一下就很棒. 早餐水果不是很好吃,採購應該買好一點的水果,湯麵有點鹹,煎蛋實在是太油了,煎好的蛋我可以倒出10cc的油,這點需要改善一下

房間整潔舒適, 衛生打掃迅速. 36樓的行政餐廳可以享受比較安靜的早餐, 窗外景觀也不錯. 旋轉餐廳是一個特色, 但價格不便宜.

優點： 房間非常寬敞。高層景觀一流。浴室超大、淋浴熱水、水壓足夠。房間整潔。床舖大而舒服。整體來說，房間是豪華舒適。 缺點：位於36樓的早餐選擇不多，而質素也是一般。

We always stay at this Hotel when we visit my wife's family in Dongguan. It has always been a nice hotel. The rooms are enormous and well equipped. We stayed there recently and noticed a sharp decline in the room and the breakfast facilities. Firstly, we usually stay on one of the upper floors, with a double bed, but now that our twins are three years old, we asked for a double room. we were put on the 6th floor and our room overlooked the air-conditioning towers of the ballrooms, not a good start. The electric curtains did not work, not a big deal, but something I would have thought would be checked by housekeeping frequently. The bathroom shower was open plan and only had a hand held type, which wouldn't stay in the holder and would always move around, very frustrating. Surprisingly there was no bath in this room, but instead, it had a steam room (different) and a hard massage type bed, with a shower head close by. Very strange. The beds are large and always comfortable. I had my suspicions that the hotel was on hard times when I noticed during the day, a few coaches arriving and lots of people disembarking. Sure enough, my suspicions were confirmed when we went down for breakfast. The restaurant, outside areas and even a few passageways were crammed with tables, full of guests. It was a scrum to get to any of the food, a lot of it running out within minutes and taking a long time to be replenished. We went for breakfast 30 minutes before the end of the service, and with 15 minutes still to go, a lot of the food was not being replenished, That's not the sign of an International Hotel standard. The icing on the cake was when I went to get coffee, the self serve machine had gone, in it's place was a big urn filled with coffee, that from the taste, had probably been sitting there for a long time. I asked the staff what had happened to the machine and was told it had broken....HJ International Hotel It calls itself an "International" hotel, but it's really a Local Chinese brand trying to be "International". The staff are very nice and do go out of their way to please, and a nice touch was leaving two flasks of warm milk for the babies at bedtime.but I'm sad to say with the introduction of what looks like "Package Tours" we will not be staying there in the future.

First time in this hotel. I was impressed by the size of the room, fantastic! bed is huge, bathroom the same (even a steam bath included). Service at front desk is very helpful, spa level and quality very nice too. Amenities: good pool and good gym. I would recommend.

We had corporate event here and overall quite happy with set up, flexibility and help hotel staff provided us. Ballroom music equipment is good, big screen, nice decor.Hotel Rooms are also big. Big nice pool (but no shadow and cocktail area). Food is tasty, service a little Chinese (started clean up everything after the event, even though some guests haven't left yet ).No coffee machine in the room, just instant coffe.Within Walking distance they have supermarket with imported food if you need anything extra (like skimmed milk or no calories sweetener :D). Staff doesn't speak English very well, so be patient, use dictionary and search all the addresses in chinese for taxi drivers.But I still put 5 marks for hotel as out stay and event were done properly and efficiently.

I make frequent visits to China, and a couple of years ago I started to sleep in this hotel when I am in Dongguan. All is very modern and new, the rooms bigger than other similar price hotel, nice SPA, good japanese restaurant, etc. Good choice for hotel in Dongguan.

It's the first time staying at this hotel in Houjie and stayed for 5 nights. We arrived early in the morning, and they gave us a room upon our arrival, which was a treat. Though the room was much smaller than what we've reserved. After we showered and took a short nap, we requested to be moved to the bigger room. Upon our return in the afternoon, a new room was ready for us - which was large, clean and beautiful on the executive floor. The staff was very helpful, and most of them spoke English, which was refreshing.But mostly we would like to point out the Guest Relation Manager - Daria, who was so helpful in every way possible. She speaks English, Russian, German and manages in Chinese. She is simply an asset to this hotel. Thank you Daria! I wrote to them in advance about gluten free food, as I have celiac disease, and they were very accommodating. The front desk let the managers of every restaurant in the hotel know of my needs, and for breakfast the manager came and discussed with me the possibilities and so every morning fresh vegetables were ready for me. The location is just in the center of the shopping area - though personally I didn't think it was worth going around there. The streets were dirty and the stores too loud to my taste. The spa was just OK. One thing to note - they should use quiet and relaxing music instead of putting the TV on while getting a massage! The Japanese restaurant was very good too! Definitely recommended!

This is not my first time to book this hotel while I am travelling in Houjie and I would highly recommend this hotel for business or leisure purpose to stay as the price is good and the room size 100% will impress you for your stay.

I would strongly recommed this hotel for the travel as they match the 5 star services and conditions as good as 5 star hotel expecially the room size is really impress for me on my stay.
