Tranquil & spacious hotel ideal for a peaceful holiday. Prompt & courteous staff was a highlight. Breakfast was good but not upto past Aitken spence standards. Overall a good experience.

Sea bathing wasn't possible.

Dommage que le bruit rende parfois le repos un peu difficile Emplacement de la chambre trop bruyante. Le dernier jour vers minuit, j’ai eu le droit à un cafard de grande taille. Obligé de soulever le lit pour l’extraire.

Good location

Food selection was underwhelming, not a lot of choices and quality not great. All inclusive was poor. The hotel is not as developed and a lot more old.

It was very serene and peaceful. There were lots of wildlife. Heritance sustainability initiatives to reduce plastic waste is commendable. All the staff were really friendly, warm and welcoming.

There was nothing to complain about. Everything from the food to the stay was outstanding!

I did not like the food . Not up to mark for a Sri Lankan hotels . Generally food is good everywhere in Sri Lanka even their basic tea coffee is not good .

The rooms and facilities were great - nicely sized, overlooking the pool. The beach was all yours - almost your private beach. The staff was friendly and helpful - across the board. Overall experience was worth more than what we paid.

At dinner, you could only have the dinner buffet at the main restaurant - which was way too much food. Sadly the ala carte food wasn't great and had limited options (for example: very few soups/ salads), and there aren't many restaurants at walking distance. So a bit stuck, come dinner time. Also, there are local vendors that hound you once you hit the beach.... they walk along side you.

Standard is not the same as other Heritance Hotels. Hotel was also not very kid friendly. In room dining menu was quite limited and lacked options for kids

エントランスから入った瞬間に目に飛び込んで来る景色が最高。夕食の後、海岸を散歩するとプールとその奥に美しくライトアップされた建物がとても美しかった。 後は何よりも食事！朝食も夕食も選び切れないくらい豊富な種類のバイキングで、味も良くてとても満足。

初日「スリランカへ来て初めて湯船に浸かれる！」と喜んだのも束の間、湯船の栓が見当たらず断念。後で、バスタブ周りの黒い部分に黒い栓があった事が発覚。翌日は掃除の後、白いバスタブ脇に置いてあったので良かった。 バスルームのドアが閉まらず半開き、その点が残念だった。

Amazing architecture and beautiful integration with the beach and surroundings. The food buffets were vast, with something for everyone and some stand out dishes and chefs. Lovely swimming pools, and some good entertainment in the evening.

On the busiest days, service was a little slower, but still okay. Cold juice on arrival would have been even better!

The hotel was amazing. Very clean and spacious rooms. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We loved the food. It was tasty and had a superb spread with a range of items. Both the pools were amazing. Loved how it was built leaving way for the trees that add to the relaxation by the pool.

The desert section can be improved a bit more by adding more items than just cake items. Also, the breakfast buffet was very short-staffed. In general the refills were slow across all 3 meals. Not a direct comment to the hotel, but it would be great if the hotel can consider doing a beach cleanup on a regular basis as that would eleveate the experience of guests even more as we noticed some garbage washed up on the shore in some places.

We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel layout is beautiful, and the views are incredible. There was such a great variety of food and drinks, with something for everyone. The staff were all so lovely, welcoming, and attentive. The pool was fantastic, and honestly, everything about our experience was amazing. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The only downside was that I found the buffet to be quite expensive. I also wish breakfast had been included with the room, as this would have made the overall experience even better.

The property offers good privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. It is a comfortable place to stay, especially for those who value privacy and a relaxed environment.

There’s honestly nothing I can say that I didn’t like—everything was wonderful. I had stayed here a few years ago when the music club was operating, and I remember really enjoying that. It is no longer regularly functioning and is available only upon request. I wouldn’t consider that a negative, but it would have been nice to have it available during this stay as well.

Beautiful heritage beachfront property with stunning sea views. * Excellent location for a peaceful and relaxing stay. * Spacious, clean, and well-maintained rooms. * Courteous, friendly, and helpful staff. * A thoughtful surprise arranged for our baby’s birthday, which made our stay extra special. * Lavish breakfast buffet with a wide variety of options. * Sea view restaurant makes breakfast even more enjoyable. * Calm and relaxing atmosphere, ideal for a holiday.

The walk from the reception to the main gate is quite long, which can be inconvenient, especially for families with young children or elderly guests. * Although there are two swimming pools, both are around 4 feet deep, with no shallow section for babies or toddlers. A children’s pool or a 2-foot-deep area would be a great addition. * Hair conditioner was not provided in the room, which is unexpected for a luxury resort.

Had a really nice stay at Heritance Ahungalla. The location is beautiful, right on the beach, and what we loved most was that the beach wasn’t crowded at all. It’s the perfect place if you’re looking for some peace and quiet. A big thank you to all the staff ..,from the front desk, reception, housekeeping, gardeners, and everyone else. Every single person was so friendly, always smiling, and happy to help. A special thank you to Thenuja and Nelka. They really made our stay extra special with their kindness and genuine hospitality. They truly won our hearts. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Heritance Ahungalla. The variety of food was exceptional, with something for everyone, and every meal was enjoyable. The pool was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, making it a great place to relax with the family. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. They went above and beyond, even offering to look after my child while I finished my meal, which was a gesture I truly appreciated. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a stunning sea view. The information and guidance provided about the turtle conservation activities and local attractions were excellent and helped make our experience even more memorable. I like Heritance Ahungalla because of its beautiful beach, relaxing atmosphere, amazing ocean views, and elegant architecture. It is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy Sri Lanka's natural beauty.

The breakfast buffet was good but you can get that at any 4 star hotel but better at other 5 star hotels.

It was very dated. As you drive in you think this is not 5 star. Then everything is dated from there on. There is no where else to go neither. Good only if you want the same scene for your stay but not 5 star.

I recently stayed at Heritance Ahungalla for the second time, and once again it was a fantastic experience. As a travel agent, I visit many hotels, and I can honestly say this is one of the best in Sri Lanka. The location is a perfect 10/10, directly on the beach, with a beautiful and well-maintained property and an amazing infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The food was outstanding – easily a 10/10. Every member of the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Nelka, who was always kind, helpful, and the perfect contact person throughout our stay. What impressed us most was that, although the hotel was fully booked, the team arranged another room for us for a late check-out so we could stay longer and enjoy the facilities before our flight. Excellent service, great value for money, and without a doubt one of the best hotels in Ahungalla. Highly recommended!

in the main restaurant it would have been amazing if the waiter would ask the customer if they want water, which is free, we had to ask for the free water every time. In the beginning we did not know that there was the possibility to get water.

Breakfast- Table arrangement is not comfortable, Too compact ,noicy not even spaces to walk with a plate. Restorent is not attractive and poor interior decoration and arrangement. Staff is friendly , Foods OK Pool- Clean

To be frank , You have wasted nice prroperty and friendly human resourses you owned. -Poor mintanance of garden , You could have arranged and maintained a beautiful garden. -I noticed it, Dress code is not suit for your staff both male and female, It will cause to reduce the efficiency and effectiveness of thier works. I think, You have introduced it with a mind of domestic traditional theme.

Had a very pleasant and calm stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. Service is also good. Everyone was welcoming and attentive to our needs. The hotel was exceptional with a long beautiful beach area. It had a library, lounge areas, volleyball court and etc .Great place for a couple or a family. We booked the junior suite for two nights. Food was really good. Mr Shawyantha was really helpful with the arrangements for our special requests.

Loved everything about the hotel — it holds a lot of nostalgia and sentimental value for me. Hasn't changed much.

Hospitality of the staff and the amazing beach experience are unforgettable. Further, they offered us an upgrade of the accommodation facilities.

The stay was amazing they have us a fantastic room, the staff was so lovely they gave me and my partner a hand made bouquet. Staff at breakfast would remember anything special we would request. Truly wonderful!

Dinner and breakfast buffets were full of delicious items with more verities. Having a large pool and cleanliness was good. Also, the hotel is in a wonderful location and having a very beautiful beach. Overall, one of the best hotels in SL built according to the "Four Blues" concept by Architect Geoffery Bawa.

All together this was a nice experience. Dinner was excellent and for breakfast also there were so many options to choose from (Srilankan and International). The food was delicious. All the facilities were included in the room. The hotel provides various activities and that is what I admire the most. Calm and peaceful surrounding made our stay more pleasant. The staff made sure we were comfortable at all times. We would never think twice to visit again. Great place for a great stay.

Since my booking fell on a less crowded day the buffet was not at its ideal, but ok. Wished the bathroom shower could be a bit bigger.

Less supportive staff ,ordinary service ,food quality is average and had to wait for refills,coffee and even for finger bowl .

Location is good. Right on the beach with nice views. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Property is past its sell by date and in need of a renovation. A lot of things like the pool loungers are broken, towels and robes are hard from over washing, carpets are worn etc. Staff were very helpful but service was hit and miss. Things that were ordered often never arrived and required a follow up call. Way over priced for what it can offer. Stayed in several similar priced hotels in India which were all of a much higher standard.
