Super bem localizado, muitos barzinhos e restaurantes por perto, ficamos no 12 andar e a vista foi excepcional, pegamos a opção club e no nosso parecer valeu muito a pena, com todas as refeições e bebidas inclusas Com certeza vamos voltar
What an amazing property and a perfect place to celebrate the Fourth of July! Everything about our stay was fantastic and exactly what you would expect from the Ritz-Carlton brand. From the easy and welcoming check-in process to the seamless experience selecting chairs at the pool or beach, every detail was handled beautifully. The resort also offered wonderful activities for children, including a festive candy station in the lobby filled with red, white, and blue treats, as well as an incredible reptile and bird show that our family thoroughly enjoyed. The property, service, amenities, and holiday activities all made our stay truly memorable. The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale created a wonderful Fourth of July experience for our entire family, and we would absolutely return.
As Loyalty member we used to travel and stay on different luxury brand from Bonvoy as ritz , st Regis , edition and keeping return around the world . But is totally unrecognizable this ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale beach We have stayed 7 nights + 1 night to be checked 1 door bell - majority not polity and very terrible manners to approach clients 2 not good conditions the room ( outdated) 3 restaurant is old and dark ( we haven’t get any breakfast there ) 4 very hard to have upgrading 5 the management as Mrs Maurell Martinez just image and false to listen the complain but no actions has Been taken. 6 Arrogant and no appreciation for be loyalty or sub manager for the check in on the 15 of July 9 pm Me and my family felt that we are doing Favor to be there People make difference for us !! And we just came back from ritz nomad NyC and totally differ. Appreciate there !!
Checked in for one night (2 days) on July 7 for our anniversary and also my daughters birthday. I am a RC platinum elite lifetime member and let me just say that I judge all RC properties by the RC in Grand Cayman and also the RC Naples Beach and this property has service issues. You are not going to find the RC level of service here. Lots of service failures at this property. CHECK IN: Check in was fairly smooth and Ronica checked us in. She upgraded our room from partial ocean view to ocean front which was nice and it was room 1419. She offered us another upgrade for $300 to be on the club level and since I never saw the club lounge at this property she had the bellman take us to the club lounge for a tour. After we saw the club lounge I decided it was not worth it since we would only be here a short time. When we returned to the front desk after the club lounge tour our luggage was still on the luggage rack (since we were considering the club level room upgrade) but when it came time to go up to our room the valet parking stand had other guests checking in so they called the bellman to the valet stand. After waiting 10 minutes for the bellman I took the baggage cart myself and took our own luggage to the room. Every RC I ever stayed at in my life always had some sort complimentary fruit tray, cheese tray, or champagne in our room to celebrate our anniversary and or my daughters birthday but not here! I will say that our room was beautiful, clean neat, and tidy and it was quite a large room. Note my status was not recognized at check in. POOL SERVICE: After we got in our room we put on our swim trunks and headed straight to the pool for lunch. We decided to sit at the pool bar but after 10 minutes of waiting we left due to non existent bar service. Turns out Constantine the bar tender was also doubling as the pool boy and he was helping other guests with lounge chairs and towels at the pool instead of tending to his bar. DURING THE STAY: In the course of our stay we used the chat system for requesting extra towels and such and for the most part that was okay but on the second day chat response times were very long and mostly unresponsive. The next morning we went for along walk and when we got back to the hotel we missed the breakfast serving hours by 20 minutes at Burlock Coast. After speaking with hostess Kashel she went out of her way to talk to the chef and ask him if he can make an exception and cook up a few more breakfast orders and he did. Big shout out to Kashel. INCIDENTALS: It should be noted that valet parking at this property is $59 per day and if you want to use the spa facility it is also $59 per day unless you book a service like a massage. In the mornings there is complimentary coffee in the lobby near the elevators and that is very nice. CHECKOUT: We took advantage of the 4PM late check out as a perk for my status and the hotel did honor the request which was nice. I told the front desk person at check out that we were not offered our points or welcome gift at check in and the clerk took took our $35 breakfast off the bill which was also very nice and duly noted. CONCLUSION: You will not find RC level service at this hotel and this property has more of a Marriott feel to it more than a RC experience. In fact I have stayed at some Marriott and JW properties that had better service and amenities than this property offers. It should be noted the pool and pool deck are very small here. My wife being the in the travel industry for decades we tend to notice the very little details which are the most important details at any hotel. Most people don't notice the major details at a property because those are expected right, but they sure do notice the little details that make any stay most enjoyable. I don't believe I would stay at this property again and if I were in Fort Lauderdale again I would opt for the Four Season.
If you are in ft Lauderdale looking for a great restaurant, coffee shop with amazing service. Make your way to the Burlick Coast at the Ritz Carlton. Jake, one of the servers, goes out of his way to make you feel like family..He is friendly, knowledgeable a true "10" a keeper.
O’scar was incredibly kind and friendly, especially with our little one. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. His warm personality and excellent service made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, O’scar! :)
Staff were great
Rating: 3/10 My family and I stayed here in room 1413 (a "One Bedroom Oceanfront Balcony Suite") for one night in May 2026. Positives: • The location is undeniably strong. Sitting directly across from the ocean, the hotel delivers the one thing that cannot be renovated or rebranded. Our room’s balcony offered a sweeping view of the beach, and it was easily the best part of the stay. • The air conditioning worked flawlessly. In South Florida, that is not a trivial detail. The room stayed consistently cool, which ended up being more memorable than many of the hotel’s supposed luxury touches. • The Ritz-Carlton name still carries weight. Walking into the property, the branding creates an expectation of quality and professionalism. Unfortunately, much of the experience that followed struggled to live up to the logo on the building. Negatives: • The room felt tired and overdue for a refresh. Beige marble, worn carpeting, and stained surfaces gave the impression of a hotel that had been coasting on its address and brand for far too long. • When I filled the bathtub for my daughter, the water came out with a noticeable yellow-green tint. That is not something you expect at any hotel, let alone one charging Ritz-Carlton rates. It immediately raised questions I would rather not have had to ask. • We arrived around 11 p.m. and were greeted by… nobody. As we wrestled luggage through the entrance and held doors open ourselves, there was no doorman, no welcome, and no sense that anyone was paying attention. It was an inauspicious start. • Late-night dining consisted of a grab-and-go market rather than room service. We picked up two wraps that managed to be both soggy and forgettable. After a long travel day, it felt less like a luxury hotel and more like an airport convenience store. • When we requested bedding for the sofa bed, we were handed a stack of sheets and blankets and left to assemble it ourselves. The employee may have been trying to expedite things, but making your own pullout bed is not an experience I associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand. • At roughly $1,400 per night during Fort Lauderdale’s slower season, the value proposition simply was not there. Luxury hotels do not need to be perfect, but they should at least feel luxurious. • The biggest issue is that nearly every disappointment could have been forgiven if this were an ordinary beachfront hotel. It is not. It carries the Ritz-Carlton flag. By the end of the stay, I was left wondering whether Ritz-Carlton leadership has visited this property recently, or whether I need to fundamentally recalibrate what the brand is supposed to represent in 2026.
My husband and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary at this lovely hotel. Everything about the stay was perfect. The hero of the trip was Mr. Reuben Trane, a key manager at this beautiful property. He made sure we had a nice corner room for our stay, sent some treats to our room and as a surprise framed a photo of us to enjoy during our stay. We enjoyed meeting Reuben and thanking him personally. Valuable managers like Reuben move a good trip to a fantastic trip category. I wish there were a ten rating TripAdvisor! Other employees that stood out were Tamisha and Travis at the front desk and Johnathon and Juan who were the pool attendants. Andrea, in the front office, was also very helpful. The rooms are beautiful and clean. Everything was in working order. The food was very good and we enjoyed the morning coffee and oranges in the lobby along with fruit infused water. The pool area was crowded over the Memorial Day holiday yet the pool staff made sure everyone could find a seat. The beach attendants were very helpful as well yet we loved the beach view from the pool deck. The location of the hotel is nice as there is a natural flat walking area right outside the door. Don’t miss this property. We didn’t visit the spa or fitness center; however, I know the Ritz also sets the standard in this area. We will be make for sure. Thank you Reuben and staff for making our time special. We even added another night!
The location is unbeatable, offering immediate access to the beach and picturesque morning views over the ocean. While the proximity to the water is spectacular, the service is what truly defines the experience. Front Desk Manager Reuben Trane was exceptional. Despite our brief two-night stay, our family had highly complex scheduling needs. Reuben handled every request effortlessly, displaying a warm smile and a genuinely helpful attitude throughout. It is hospitality of this caliber that solidifies our loyalty to the Ritz-Carlton brand.
Beach experience was absolutely AMAZING!!! Dylan was so kind! Excellent service and so caring. He paid such great attention to our needs and remembered me from a prior visit. Would highly recommend. Great experience! Food and drinks were also top tier.
Very "old" Ritz, not what you expect. My grievances: 1) Hotel is used and old 2) Receptionist dont care baout your status. Early check-in, forget it. They are trying to help but it seemed that they are incompetent to even get you a downgraded room in early check-in. 3) Room-service is unreliable and calling front office wont help. They will just let the phone ring.
I had an amazing stay at the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale in early May 2026. The property is clean and the staff is wonderful, attentive but not intrusive. My stay was made even better by the two knowledgable and professional concierges Carmen Meza and Oscar Smith! Both Carmen and Oscar were helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay special. I cannot thank the staff enough. I was so tired from the brutal northeast winter when I arrived at the Ritz. I left relaxed, renewed, and feeling blessed by the kindness and old world attention to detail provided by the staff at this property.
We decided come back to RC Fort Lauderdale prior to our cruise from Fort Lauderdale. Despite the busy weekend because of the Tortuga Mussic Festival the hotel was an oasis to come back to. The swift check-in and reception from Andrea and Monty was very appreciated. We were very early and our room was not ready but we could wait in the Club Lounge which we booked. This Club Lounge is very well managed by Rueben. This weekend also started their collaboration with Gibson Guitars. It was nice to see Rueben’s passion and enthousiasm for music and guitars. In the evening there were some guitar players, a nice extra touch! Foodpresentations very nice as was service from Robert, Maria and all others in Club. Despite being Ambassaador member with Marriott Bonvoy no upgrade whatsoever but we loved the room! On the morning of departure we had an litlle incident which we mentioned to Rueben and hopefully he took care of it that it will never happen again to other guest. This hotel will definetly be our number one choice when coming back to Fort Lauderdale
Surprised! by old Ritz Carlton Spa locker keys which she said are all like this. EXCELLENT SPA and SERVICES though. Facilities getting old but clean and elegant.
From arrival to departure, our week+ stay at the Ft Lauderdale Ritz-Carlton was fabulous. The location, amenities and Burlock Coast restaurant are great. We had a few meals at the restaurant and the food was outstanding. The rum room dining experience was well worth the money. We want to thank Oscar Smith, Concierge for his over the top service. We were in contact with him weeks before our arrival and he had everything arranged for us beautifully. Oscar’s assistance (and chocolate chip cookies) made our stay so special! Here’s a photo of our suite on the ship, post stay, with our Ritz Carlton notes!
⸻ We recently stayed at the The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment—especially given the price point and the brand’s reputation. For context, we typically stay at the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach, which we absolutely love. Since the Ritz-Carlton was actually more expensive, we assumed it would be equal or better. That was not the case. From the moment we arrived, things felt off. We had to carry our own luggage up stairs, which is not what you expect at this level. Our reservation—booked through American Express Concierge—was also incorrect. They had us booked twice for the same night instead of two consecutive nights. While the hotel acknowledged we were staying two nights, they pushed the responsibility back onto American Express to fix it, leaving us stuck in the middle with no clarity. The room itself was underwhelming, but worse, when we arrived there was a large puddle of water on the carpet. We had to switch rooms immediately, which was frustrating after a long day of travel. No compensation or acknowledgment of the inconvenience was offered. Service throughout the stay was inconsistent. The next day, after being out all morning, we returned to find our room hadn’t been cleaned. When we called, we were told it was because the system didn’t show us staying the second night—despite the extensive conversation at check-in. This turned into nearly two hours of back-and-forth between the hotel and American Express, with each blaming the other. As the guest, you’re left completely in the dark while both sides expect you to somehow understand and resolve their internal issues. What stood out most was the lack of ownership or care from management. When we expressed frustration, the focus remained on the reservation issue—not on the guest experience. There was no meaningful apology, no effort to make things right, and not even a small gesture like a complimentary drink or credit. To add to the frustration, room service was both outrageously expensive and extremely disappointing. A very basic breakfast—eggs, bacon, toast, plus a smoothie and an orange juice—came to $130. Not only was the price excessive, but the food itself was unacceptable. Everything arrived cold. The toast was so cold you couldn’t even spread butter on it, the eggs were cold, and overall nothing tasted good. Even beyond these issues, the property itself does not feel like a Ritz-Carlton. The outdoor furniture was plastic, and overall the hotel felt more like a three-star experience than a luxury one. This property does not live up to the Ritz-Carlton name, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.
Checked out before one night at W when i realized no doors on bathrooms whatsoever. Came to the Ritz. Carlton and the difference was night and day. No crowds, friendliest service ever. Delicious food including restaurants and room service. Separate tub and shower in bathroom . Greeted on arrival, friendly check in, and everything uou could want for x stress free vacation for only a few more dollars than the W. Been here before and will come back.
Room left unlocked 4th day of stay. Mats in bathroom were not replaced although clearly dirty. And 2 out of 3 elevators not working. No towels at pool area and no attendant.
More like the Pitts Carlton. If you enjoy walking into a “Club Lounge” where the staff are the most uninviting, unengaging, unfriendly people, this is the place for you! When the only engagement is “room number” without even making eye contact is the standard, you need to remove the Ritz Carlton branding from your property! The slop they serve in here is almost inedible. If you enjoy listening to housekeeping yelling and arguing with each other in the hallways at all hours, this is the place for you! When you have to ask for your packages 5 f’in times before they bring it to you, this is the place for you. The hallways are like meat lockers! I would love to know what they are paying to keep them so cold. Perhaps thats why they are charging the insane rates they do for a Holiday Inn experience. Whoever is running this property should be embarrassed of themselves. Good riddance!!
Great location , clean, great service
Precio /calidad Hay hoteles iguales o mejores a mejor precio. El restaurante/lugar para Desayunar, flojito.
Ooooof. Lordy leave your expectations of Ritz behind. This one is a Marriott 3 star at best masquerading as a Ritz. Unceasing noise from room above but a frat party next door at 1:30 am. The Spring Break morons partying on Daddy and Mummy's dime. Front Desk was in no rush to close the party down. Housekeeping is a disaster - cleaned room and left behind NO tissues and NO toilet paper. Also ignored note for extra towels. Did leave behind 3 rags on the coffee bar though. Asked for some wine glasses and a cork screw - finally aerrived 45 mins later. The first floor bar looking out over the beach serves wine out of a carafe. The ONLY worthwhile thing at this "Ritz" is the pool staff - from set up guys to servers - everyone has a positive attitude and service is great. Much nicer Bar and they serve Cakebread Cab by the glass! I'm thinking this spot caters to the Ritz residents - but who in their right mind would EVER buy into a mediocre Ritz in Fort Lauderdale?
My husband and I are enjoying day 3 of our 5 day stay here at the Ritz-Carlton and we want to say how absolutely perfect our stay here has been. We are in a king bed, ocean view room and it is beautiful, clean, comfortable and elegant. The staff at the hotel - from the management to the wait staff, to the attendants at the beach (BeeGee and Dillon), to the attendants at the pool (Jimmy), to the maid staff, to room service - everyone has been so accommodating and polite and helpful. The amenities are excellent. The beach is easily accessible to the hotel and we have really appreciated the chairs and umbrellas and cabanas. The pool is beautiful and clean and the attendants immediately make sure that you are comfortable. We enjoyed using the gym this morning and my husband and I found everything that we could want and all of the equipment was in excellent shape. We are absolutely delighted and have no complaints at all.
Nothing. It was awful and they would not refund our money as the pictures were not what it looked like.
Everything
**Bottom Line Up Front:** I would stay here again, but I would also consider other hotels in the area. **Check-in:** Normally when I check in early at a Ritz property, I’m accommodated without any issues. However, during this stay we had to wait until the designated check-in time. That took away a bit of the hospitality and flexibility I’ve come to expect. **Room:** We were upgraded, and the room itself was well appointed. However, the noise level was surprisingly high. We could clearly hear guests walking past our door as well as activity in the room next door—the walls seemed quite thin. This is the first Ritz property where I’ve experienced that. Additionally, the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. **Gym:** The gym was well equipped and never overly crowded. **Pool Area and Food:** It appears the hotel offers day passes for the pool area, which made it very crowded for overnight guests. I encountered several people who either had day passes or were lingering after getting off a cruise. As a result, pool chairs were hard to come by. Even after we finally got chairs, the service was lacking. The food was also disappointing. We ordered tacos that arrived cold, and when we sent them back, it seemed they were simply reheated in a microwave and returned to us. The shells were hard—even though they were supposed to be soft tacos. Normally, I would expect the dish to be remade entirely. **Spa:** The spa has nice accommodations and great snacks. However, it’s quite small—there’s no dedicated whirlpool, though there is a steam room and sauna. **Overall:** I would stay here again, but I would also consider other hotels in the area. One highlight worth mentioning is the lovely aroma throughout the hotel. It’s a nice touch and reminds you how much thoughtful hotels pay attention to the full guest experience—sight, smell, and touch.
The Ritz Carlton Ft. Lauderdale, FL/USA, seems less posh than the buzzing RC South Beach, and less cozy family-style elegant than the newly refurbished RC Key Biscayne, but I felt nevertheless welcome after a long long flight from BER/MUC to MIA and a long limo ride from the airport to my hotel. Check-in was smooth and friendly, plus: I got a nice upgrade, an oceanfront residential suite on the 16th floor: Two big rooms – living room and sleeping room, a huge bathroom with jacuzzi tub, shower, wc, and an extra wc, a dining table + chairs, 2 huge tv monitors, several couches and easy chairs, and a full kitchenette – with nespresso machine, smoothie maker, toaster, micro wave, oven, fridge, and all the equipment you’d need to cook and dine. But then, more than I needed or used during my short stay, especially since I had access to the club lounge, where I could enjoy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and desserts. One of the best features of my grand and beautiful suite – which seemed to have at least 80 sqm – was the huge double balcony, with an extraordinary view to the Atlantic, the pool and the beach, and its deckchairs, chairs and table. I felt tempted to spend the next weeks here. I loved lying in the huge king bed (2.40 x 2.40 m), balcony doors open, and listen to the waves crashing on the sand. A beautiful sound, indeed. Another praise refers to the swimming pool – a huge deck on the 7th floor outdoors, with – again - a nice view to the beach (and beach access, of course), the fitness room, which is very well equipped, and the spa, which I did not try out, but which seemed nice and offers lots of services. Ritz Carlton hotels are – as far as the furniture style & bathrooms are concerned – a bit old-fashioned in their style, I’d say based on my experience of different properties of this chain in the USA, but I guess that this is meant to remember the elegance of another era. And different from other hotels or hotel chains, which try to preserve the aura of the past, Ritz Carlton offers enough sockets and USB connections in the room to charge the equipment we are all carrying with us these days. I am pretty sure that I will be back at the Ritz Carlton Ft Lauderdale, should the occasion arise. Although I was a bit disappointed by the Club Lounge, this time. The Club is an extra feat that the Ritz offers for a considerable extra amount of money. Whereas the Club in Fort Lauderdale has all those delicious meals five times a day plus snacks & non-alcoholic beverages all day (from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.) you find at the other properties – I’ve stayed at Miami South Beach, Orlando Grande Lakes and Key Biscayne, among others – this one actually lacks the warmth and presence of the other lounges. I missed the warm welcome I received at the other lounges. In Fort Lauderdale all I got upon entering the club – the first day, but also the days after – was a polite nod in passing, and several times – especially in the morning – no club manager was present or reachable at all. So, if I book the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale again, I’ll probably reserve without the Club extra.
Bottom Line Up Front: Would stay here again Check-in: Normally if I check-in ahead of the designated check-in time when staying at a Ritz property, I am always accommodated. However, we had to wait until the designated time to check in which did take away some of the hospitality that I normally expect. Room: we were upgraded and the room that we received was well appointed. However the noise level was surprisingly high! We were able to hear other guests walking past our door as well as in the next room. The walls are thin! First Ritz property that I have visited where this has been the case. Gym: Well equipped and was never overly crowded. Pool Area and Food: Evidently there are opportunities to purchase a one day pass to lounge at the pool. This makes the pool area very crowded for guests. I encountered a number of individuals that either had a one day pass or was just 'squatting' because they had just gotten off a cruise. This of course meant that pool chairs were not available and once we were able to get chairs, the service was definitely lacking!! Not to mention that the food was horrible. We sent back our tacos because they were cold and this is the first time that we could tell that they just put them in a microwave and sent the SAME tacos back to us. The shells were hard and they were soft tacos!! This was very disappointing! Normally the food item is remade completely. Spa: Overall, nice accommodations and great snacks! However, it is small so there is no dedicated whirlpool but there is a steam room and sauna. Overall, I would stay here again. I must say that there is a lovely aroma throughout the hotel. When you visit other hotels who don't pay as much attention to how guests comprehensively experience their accommodations (sight, smell and touch) you appreciate when a hotel makes sure to address each one.
The best part of staying at the Ritz Carlton Ft Lauderdale was the staff. The hotel itself is sub par for a Ritz Carlton. The rooms while kept clean could use a renovation as well as the public areas. The location is good, the beach is very very busy with a nice pool area. The price that they are charging is out of sight for what you are receiving. Also buyer beware the hotel is extremely inflexable if you are looking for any special favors or if a Blizzard arrives in NY. If you happen to get an inter coastal room be prepared for a 9 AM wake up construction call Monday to Friday.
I want to recognize Oscar Smith for the incredible job he did helping organize a very special weekend for the two of us at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale. Oscar was attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure every detail was just right. He coordinated everything seamlessly, from timed deliveries to concierge requests, and made the entire experience feel effortless. The service throughout the hotel was impeccable. From the Burlock Coast restaurant staff to the Spa team, the valet team, and the concierge team, everyone went above and beyond. The food at Burlock Coast was absolutely delicious, and our two massage therapists at the Spa were outstanding. Their skill and professionalism truly elevated the entire experience. Thanks to Oscar and the exceptional staff, the weekend was smooth, thoughtful, and truly memorable for the two of us. We will definitely be back again. -P & L
Have stayed here before, it’s not bad, but I was a bit disappointed this time around. I can’t give five stars honestly.
Went solo for a long weekend to recharge. The hotel was packed for Valentines Day and Presidents Day weekend. At check in I asked for a quiet waterfront suite far away from the pool. I was told they were limited rooms but they would try. I was put on the 9th floor directly facing the pool and it was pretty noisy. Everyone at the hotel was VERY nice and hospitable except one guy by the pool who helped with seats/towels- I believe his name was Matt? He told me there was a 15 min rule in effect, so if i left my chair for more than 15 minutes i would essentially be kicked out of my chair. I didnt hear him say that to anyone else, though it’s possible he may have. He kind of had edge when he said it. I had intended to tip him (and im a big tipper) when i stopped back at my room but saw no need after losing my seat. I did in fact leave my chair for a spa treatment and I came back to him telling me with a smirk that i no longer had my seat (and he had my belongings at the stand). Not impressive that i’m spending money at the spa and losing my seat. Ive actually never had that happen at this caliber hotel…. And i didn’t go back to the pool for the rest of the trip. That said there were some excellent people I want to mention: Travis at the spa gave me an outstanding massage. I am blanking on the name of the bartender by the pool who was absolutely lovely. Service was slow for breakfast each morning but I didnt mind since i knew its a busy time and i wasnt on a schedule. Rooms were clean and comfy. I am picky re that sort of thing. Beach was pretty but across the street and crowded. All in all— i wouldnt go back. At this price point Ive been to a ton of places that have given better service and felt much more higher end
The Ritz Carlton Ft Lauderdale did not disappoint. Great location, rooms, service and amenities. Everyone is super friendly, professional and accommodating. Don't miss free Gelato. Also coffee provided in morning was terrific. They also have nespresso machines in room. The pool level (and bar)was overlooking the beach which was great for quite retreat. Thumbs up!!
Very beautiful suite with two balconies and the hotel is nice. Pool area is inviting and some lovely beach views. Friendly staff. Need a better breakfast cafe/coffee shop and limited services across the street at the beach, however, the beach is great! Would definitely stay again.
Spent ~$8k over 2 nights at Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale for my wife's 50th birthday, including $1,700 spa day. Spa staff aggressively confronted group poolside for return of robes (cold weather), roughly handled belongings (dropped phone in hot tub), refused ID, no apology—Carlos dismissed rudely. Zero follow-up despite elite status/survey/emails to GM; manager call said issue was "somewhere in the middle" and offered insulting $500 credit.
Hotel is completely inflexible on changing dates. “We stick to our policy with no exceptions.” This despite my wanting to change to a longer stay later and needing to change because of the massive storm we’re expecting and airline advisories not to travel on Sunday. In many decades of luxury hotel travel, this is the first time a hotel won’t let me change dates when there’s an extenuating circumstance. What’s wild is that hotels where I have no status are reasonable, but this Ritz, where I have lifetime Plat status, tells me to pound sand. So they got me for a night and lost my business forever.
Where do I start. I am not even sure this really is a Ritz Carlton. Maybe a dupe and I didn't notice it was the "Ritzz Karlton." Terrible stay. Small stuff first - wasn't offered a glass of sparkling at check in. Was told I had club level/lounge access and was given an hours & info sheet. Thought maybe this was an upgrade or something. Tried to use the key to get in and nope. Called down oops. Too bad so sad. Entered room and a melted bucket of ice greeted us with a warm bottle of sparkling. Went to bed and the next morning all hell broke loose. Requested a high floor for reasons like we experienced during this stay - Got a room overlooking the AC units and the Marriott parking garage next door. If that was all it would be fine but they were doing construction and literally looking into our room. Could not use balcony. Hammering and using a high-pitched sander. And again, if that was all I would be extremely annoyed but not devastated. However, it was the total lack of response and professionalism as a hospitality company, not just a hotel, that set me off. There was no Gold nor Standards from the front desk, or management. I was offered a chance to move to a smaller room (we had three people) or same room a few floors above the noise that you could still hear from that room, or an owner room and....pay more! Not once did anyone come to the room to see what we were dealing with for themselves. I just got told hey, we don't have control over it. Well....last I check you are a Marriott in nice clothes. The work was at the Marriott next door. Don't BS me. Even if you didn't have control over it, you had control over what you could do to make up for it. No one cared. I even offered a solution. Since we could not get peace in the room and had to be out of it, let me access the club lounge for respite. The answer was sorry, that will cost you, we charge for that. I finally had to go in person to the front desk, show video and pictures of the debacle outside our room and I was to be told to be quiet and then they tried to intimidate me with two security goons. Didn't work. I asked for the General Manager and maybe this explains a lot.....He was missing. On a sold-out weekend during season and a national championship game down the road, the GEN MGR WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND OR REACHED. The response from management was pathetic and unprofessional. I have been to over half if not more of the RC properties. From Ed Staros' Naples flagship and the rest of the U.S., to a half dozen out of the country. I will say the one thing RC FTL did well was disappoint. BTW - the pool was a letdown. Small. Sun only until 2pm because the building blocks it. Then a mad dash to the chairs by the rail for the last 30 min of sun. Doors says open dawn to dusk. Where I am from that means sunrise to sunset. Not 9am to 6pm or how ever long you could last in the shade. Oh and it's already small but 1/3 is reserved for unit owners? We had breakfast included with our package. Went to the restaurant the first morning and was greeted by three hostesses standing around and had to wait because the servers were overwhelmed and understaffed. But they had three hostesses...Took forever to get a server and order. Food was meh. We didn't eat there again. Lastly robes in the room are like rough tiny used Kleenex, and these were NOT RC beds or linens. Lastly the valet should put a water bottle in the car or at least ask when you depart. All of these things are failures of attention to detail that you expect at the RC and we have received at every other RC for the most part. Instead, we got a heaping helping of attitude from EVERYONE at and behind that front desk and the little office they hide in behind it. Our experience will not have us back and I will go out of my way to make sure everyone knows RC FTL means Failure To Lead by the management.
This location is not Ritz Carlton caliber. Main Lobby had no paper towels in men’s and ladies room. One morning at 9:45 they said the kitchen was backed up and that we had to wait 20 minutes. They wouldn’t offer us coffee or a drink at the bar while we wait so we left and went to another hotel. The hotel felt more like a glorified Marriot. We felt like they put the name on a hotel that was previously there. Very dissapointing. We were shocked. On a good note the staff was great!
Endroit sombre et non accueillant
Front Desk managers Glenny and Dalton helped to provide an amazing week at the beach. My Oceanfront suite was spacious, clean, well-appointed and comfortable. To the man who commented on the resort fee, that’s pretty standard and the property does not permit non-guests entry on the beach. I saw people that were not guests being turned away regularly. This is a solid property and the team is outstanding. The rooms have spacious living, bedrooms and bathrooms with Dyptique amenities. If you can get a higher floor with an ocean view, that’s a great start. The service level here was outstanding and it is one of the only properties that has a bridge from the pool deck to the beach so you can avoid crossing a1a at the street level. If you need a sound relax on the beach, this is it! I was truly impressed by how well this property worked together to create a welcoming, upscale, fun and relaxing environment. I will be back.
The worst experience I had in my life. During my stay we had 2 separate fire alarms, the first one at 3.05 am and 5 days later the second at 7.00 pm where we had to leave the room reached the stairs then the security tell us false alarm, you can go back to your room. The club lounge is the worst I have been to ,better to eat at fast food restaurants then the club lounge, they charge you resort fees every day that covers the chair and umbrella in the mean time they rent them to the outsiders( not Guest) , I was denied entry because they did not have chair or umbrella available in the mean time I am paying for it unbelievable. The building has 3 elevators most of times while I was there did not work or one of them is working and you have to wait 30 minutes to reach your room. This hotel is too far from being luxury or worth the money, if next stay will be offered to me for free I will reject that offer, I will never stay in this hotel again, The front desk director is the rudest person I have ever met or seen in my life. I don’t recommend you this property, Motel 6 is much better
I stayed at this hotel and asked the team to help me with a surprise cake for my family. They went above and beyond to deliver a memorable experience on short notice. Jelyssa and Sam went out of their way to provide good customer service. The hotel is in a beautiful location along the beach in Ft. Lauderdale. I enjoyed the well equipped gym here. It was a great stay overall.
We stayed three nights in a beautiful ocean-view room overlooking their 7th floor pool area. It was spacious with an excellent bed and beautiful bathroom. Check-in was easy and friendly. We did have a few issues. The concierge first night did not seem very knowledgeable and got our dinner reservation wrong. She didn't want to call while we waiting, never left us a confirmation, and when we confirmed with the restaurant, she had booked the wrong evening. We asked another concierge the next day for directions to walk to a shopping area. He left out the fact that "right after the bridge" was actually a mile or more after the bridge. It would have been fine with a car, but not so good walking. Also, although the service in the restaurant for breakfast was very good, the food was mediocre. For the price, we would have hoped for a bit better.
My wife and I had purchased tickets for the Fort Lauderdale Winterfest Boat Parade and were looking to stay at a nice hotel in close proximity to the event. The Ritz Carlton emerged as the optimal selection. The hotel featured a stunning marble lobby entrance. Additionally, it was adorned for the Christmas season. The staff was exceptionally courteous and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Beyond the expansive lobby entrance, there are several shops and Burlock, which is a sizable restaurant and bar. Moreover, there is a lovely pool and spa located on the 7th floor, along with a walkway leading to the beach across the street. Our room was tastefully updated and included a lanai that offered a captivating view of the pool and ocean. It is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Fort Lauderdale.
We have been coming to Fort Lauderdale every year for my birthday for quite some time. We have stayed at many of the other beach resorts, but decided to stay at the Ritz Carlton this year and it surpassed every expectation. We had the most beautiful corner room, with breahtaking ocean views. The housekeeping was impeccable, always keept the room looking pristine, complete with no shortage of fresh towels, clean bedding and turndown service. The food at Burclock Coast and the pool bar was all delicious. The pool was so relaxing and clean, and we enjoyed being able to take the bridge to the beach whenever we wanted. What made the trip so special, however, was the customer service and connection made with the staff. Rueben at the front desk, the elite concierge, and especially Scott at the pool made our trip worth every penny. We already can't wait to come back next year and years to come to see Scott again! Thank you for the best time!
We had a terrific few days at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale. We were greeted by one of the best front doormen ever, Walter. Walter was over the top in how he greeted and made sure anything we needed was sorted out. We stayed on the Club floor. We arrived late and both Joey and DRay went that extra mile to make sure we got everything we needed. They were both personable and helpful and made our experience on the club floor wonderful during our trip. The food was great and the club facility was well worth the cost. We enjoyed staying at this hotel and would definitely consider going back mostly because of the amazing service.
From start to finish, my experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale was nothing short of outstanding. The staff truly exemplifies world-class hospitality. They accommodated my request to move from a pool-level room to a higher floor seamlessly, making my stay even more enjoyable. The highlight of my visit was the Club Lounge—it is, without question, the best I’ve ever experienced. The team there is phenomenal: attentive, warm, and genuinely committed to creating a memorable experience. The food offerings are exceptional, with a variety and quality that feel more like fine dining than a typical lounge. If you’re looking for luxury, personalized service, and an unforgettable stay, this property is a must. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
At the end of the day, hotel rooms can blend together. It’s a Ritz so you expect it to be nice and this one is average at best. If you gave choice between here and Four Seasons definitely pick Fiyr Seasons. We only stayed one night but everything was underwhelming. I upgraded to the Club Lounge and an absolute waste of $300. The breakfast was on par with the free breakfast at a Fairfield Inn. The same goes for every aspect of the lounge experience. So sad as this was my absolute favorite place to go and now it is not even on par with most average hotels.
I liked the atmosphere here. I felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment I arrived. Had a hiccup on check in but the front desk supervisor, Alton came to my rescue and handled the situation. He was heaven sent. Let’s not forget Monty, the bellman who welcomed me and got me into my beautiful room. Poolside I must give Ruben and Veronica a high five for their hospitality and impeccable service. I observed them with other hotel guest and seemingly they were both on point. The biggest five star goes to a position at the hotel generally that you wouldn’t think that be hands on with a guest visit. Well, it’s a different situation with the general manager, Jose Torres. He responded to a random email that I sent him that confirmed this was the location that I wanted to spend three nights. The staff took really good care of everything. It was refreshing. Staying here was like a dream thanks to the concierge staff. The quiet and peaceful feel gave me the best sleep in months. A beautiful place to relax and have lots of fun.
I booked a night here for my husband’s birthday. Besides being underwhelmed by the room we still were hopeful for a nice stay. We woke in the middle of the night sweating because the air conditioning in our room stopped working. So after being up all night and exhausted we went to the hot tub. It was Luke warm at best. We told staff and waited a hour and nothing. It stayed Luke warm. The staff seemed to be aware that it was broken up already. We went to get in the elevator on the 14th floor to leave and had quite the scare. The doors closed the elevator started to descend then a loud bang and it slammed to a stop. A moment later it drops abruptly and then slams to a stop again! We were hanging on the railings trying to press buttons and call for help. The elevator help phone had no answer. With the help of other guests waiting for elevator on the outside the doors were pried open and we climbed out in between floors. Turns out it had been broken and the elevator company put it back in service while they were working on it putting us in harms way. We talked to the manager told her our entire experience. She apologized and said she would refund our stay. Well she didn’t. Instead on our drive home she charged our credit card. Now to add to the terrible experience I woke this morning two weeks later to SIX unauthorized charges on my credit card from Marriott for $75 each. What a horrible experience this has all been!
The pool area is stunning, with luxurious amenities and beautiful surroundings that overlooks the ocean. It has a dining restaurant and a bar, hot tubs and there is also beach access however during our visit it wasn't working. The service is great, and we were offered pool amenities multiple times, including frozen grapes and smoothies, as well as gelato ice cream, which added a luxury vibe to the experience. I would like to mention the excellent service provided by the pool staff, including Keddar our server, Scott and Richard at the bar and Ruben, the pool attendant.
My sister and I just got back from a quick trip to the Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale and we had a great stay. The hotel is beautiful, the location is convenient, and the service really stood out. Every employee we met was wonderful, but these two deserve a special mention. Our first interaction was with Maurell at the front desk, and she set the tone right away. She was very friendly and welcoming . We arrived early and tried to check in a few times but the room wasn't ready until the original check-in time of 4 PM. so it made for a long wait. When we went back up to the desk and were told the room was finally ready, she came out of the office to personally take care of us. She knew we had been waiting a long time and surprised us with an upgrade to a beautiful room with an amazing view of the pool and the ocean. Rodney by the pool also deserves a shout-out. He checked on us every day always with a smile, and made sure we were taken care of. He really did make us feel like VIPs. We really enjoyed our time at this beautiful hotel and we will definitely be back.
The standout experience of our stay was undoubtedly the exotic animal show at the pool. It was both entertaining and fascinating to observe the animals up close and gain insights into their behaviors. Our pool server, JC, took exceptional care of us for two consecutive days, going above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. Thank you also to Ruben for consistently providing us with his warm and welcoming service, always ensuring we were seated in a pleasant spot. We are already looking forward to our next visit and plan to extend our stay a little longer next time.
ubicacion buena....desayuno: pobre
desayuno, que el spa estuviese abierto
We got a day pass for the pool area to wait for our late flight. The pool area and the staff were all very attentive and the pool deck and views are incredible. They passed out some frozen grapes, and later berries. The drinks and the food out by the pool were pretty high so we only ordered 1 drink each. Very nice area though!
This has been (was) my go to hotel in Fort Lauderdale for many years. Unfortunately, that is now over. However, I will only write about the Club Lounge, which has entirely lost it's way for several years. I have written to the management over and over about the inadequecy and lackings of this Club Lounge, in relation to some of the other stellar properties around the Country (World, actually). There are many Club Lounges that strive for excellence; this is far from one of them. My Gold Standard has always been Dallas, where they go out of their way for some amazing presentations. However, Chicago is awesome, NoMad is (pricey to the extreme) awesome, Naples is awesome, Key Biscayne is awesome, Atlanta is awesome, etc .... but what the hell happened to Fort Lauderdale ?? It was TOTALLY awesome 10 years ago. Where did they go WRONG ?? What they put out is low level garbage. Everything looks like it came out of a box and got re-heated in an oven. Nothing looks like it was cooked on property. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to pass off pigs in blankets, for dinner. The scrambled eggs are so soupy, due to the condensation, that they are inedible, unless you have absolutely no quality standards when it comes to the things you eat. The bacon was hard as a rock; and not flavorful. You don't stay at a Ritz Carlton for lack of quality. The name Ritz Carlton should be synonomous with Quality. They wrote the book, on quality. This property has a long way to go, to get their reputation back. Get rid of the poor excuse for a Chef, and tell the F & B manager that his last day is yesterday, and let's start moving in the right direction with this place. Don't waste your money here on this Lounge, and safe and happy travels !!
The front desk woman didn’t know how to even be hospitible. I attempted to order food the minute I got into my room, but the phone was broken, so even though I was extremely tired, I had to go downstairs to request it be fixed & find a place to order food. My Caesar salad came with shrimp that was so salty, I had to rinse the dressing they put on it off to eat it. Room service forgot to bring salt & pepper. They said they would be right back, I waited since I love pepper on my salad but they didn’t return until I finally ate my entire meal. They claimed there was an issue with the elevators. Then I wanted to take a nap & the maintenance person came & let themselves in to fix the phone! I was startled & jumped up. I asked them to come back later. They said they would come @ 4pm. Instead they came @ 6pm while we were getting ready for dinner. I went to my pedicure app.@ 4 pm. I noticed it was empty but they told me earlier that it was booked up so I could not get a mani/pedi & I needed to pick one or the other. I asked the woman @ the desk if she could get me in for a mani as well, since it was so quiet in there. She said no because they close at 5! So in I went for the pedicure & I was rushed out at exactly 5 with wet toenails & then charged over $100! The manager said she would comp. my lunch for all the issues the hotel was having, but when I check out, the salad was not comped! Also the hotel is old & there is a lot of damage to the walls, frames and cheaply decorated.
Nice hotel!
Clean rooms and friendly staff, great environment next to
My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Las Olas, Florida was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and world-class service that set the tone for the entire visit. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect professional, attentive, and always a step ahead of my needs. The property itself is stunning, with elegant décor that perfectly balances luxury and comfort. My room was immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, offering both breathtaking views and all the amenities I could ask for. Housekeeping maintained everything flawlessly throughout my stay. Dining at the Ritz was a highlight every meal was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service team made me feel cared for at every seating. The spa and wellness facilities were also first-class, providing a truly relaxing escape. What stood out the most was the genuine hospitality. It didn’t feel transactional; it felt personal. Everyone I interacted with made me feel valued, which is what makes Ritz-Carlton experiences so memorable. I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking true luxury in South Florida. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
My wife and I stayed at this Ritz-Carlton for our first trip to Florida. To say it was outstanding is an understatement. The hotel, staff, room, service, and included/surrounding amenities are excellent. The ONLY small thing we wish would be changed for future guests and stayers would be to extend the outdoor pool hours a little longer (but they are open very early which was a bonus).
This property was beautiful from start to finish. A great location across the street from the Water. We really enjoyed the two Jacuzzi spas on the pool deck upstairs. And we had excellent service.
Excellent staff and very personalized care. We felt well looked after. The location is great and the hotel food itself is top tier. We had a great time!
Our stay at the Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale was exceptional, with outstanding service provided from the moment we arrived. Allan politely assisted us with our luggage and escorted us to our luxurious suite, which was meticulously clean. Jellyssa demonstrated a high level of professionalism and accomodation throughout our stay. A delightful surprise awaited us in our suite - a bottle of champagne, cake and birthday card, which made my birthday celebration truly special. The Burlock Restaurant offered an exquisite dining experience, with Ascash providing us thorough explantaion of the menu. The culinary team, including the chef and kitchen staff excelled in preparing our meals from appetizers, main course & desserts, including a complimentary birthday cake with candle. The Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale clearly values its loyal Bonvoy customers. We higky recommend their exceptional service and look forward to returning. The coastal view meets impeccable service. Thank you for creating unforgettable experience.
We booked the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and while we’ve stayed at this Ritz-Carlton many times before, this was our worst experience. We were told we’d been upgraded as an American Express Platinum member, but it was actually the same room we booked —and the least comfortable one we’ve had here. The shower was completely open, with no door, which was uncomfortably cold. When I asked about switching, I was told, “We don’t have showers with full glass doors,” which is not true, based on both past stays and the hotel’s own website. It felt very misleading. The highlights were the thoughtful cake and prosecco for the birthday, plus a wonderful meal at Burlock Coast—Lou was a fantastic server, and the food was excellent. Sadly, despite those moments, the overall stay fell far below the standard we’ve come to expect from this hotel.
Great stay had a small issue the team resolved
Wonderful experience! Staff attentive. Accommodations exceeded expectations. On site dining provided accommodation for gluten and dairy allergies. Would recommend.
I love everything. The only recommendation is better quality toilet paper.
Stellar facilities, clean, beautiful ambiance, excellent customer service.
As soon as I checked in, I was told that they gave me a free upgraded room. The better room was a partial ocean view. What confused me was I was already in a king full ocean view. They didn’t believe me so I had to pull out my reservation to show them that I had, indeed, booked a full ocean-view king. The bathroom in the room as nice, the room itself was outdated and the small balcony for my “full” ocean view had peeling paint and only a view to the east and south. The north was totally blocked by part of the hotel…so it wasn’t a full ocean view as described! Then we wanted to go to the beach. When we tried to go via the road overpass from the pool deck, we found out that the overpass was not available. No sign was posted to inform anyone except an out-of-order sign in front of the elevator. To seal the deal, when I arrived to my cruise ship and reviewed my final bill, I found that I was charged THREE times for parking! WHAT?!? I flew in! However, my brother did charge his parking to my room…but for one car (because that’s all he can drive at one time)! The person who answered the phone kept asking me if I was sure I didn’t park three cars there for the evening!! Breakfast at the restaurant was super-expensive for eggs and bacon! Save your money and walk the 3 blocks north to Starbucks and grab a breakfast sandwich for $5! All-in-all, a very disappointing stay! I booked here because the Ritz was one of my bucket-list hotels. It is now permanently crossed off that list as I will never consider staying at another one! Do yourself a favor; fly into Miami, stay at the InterContinental and Uber to Port Everglades! Much nicer hotel and you’ll even save money!
For what I would expect is a high quality hotel I am pretty surprised about how poorly the hotel is kept up and generally how lazy the housekeeping staff is. It was apparent that housekeeping hadn’t properly cleaned the room upon check-in - the toilet had toilet paper in it, the bath did not drain (it is also the shower so clearly they hadn’t run any water or they would know that). I found the razor cap on the side of the bathtub and the lamp/mirror in the bathroom was covered in rust. All in all, really disgusting. I spoke to the manager because the housekeeper who cleaned the room the following day left one hand towel and no bathmats. With a young child the last thing I wanted was for her to slip on the marble and get hurt. He was very apologetic and said it would be addressed asap. I came to the room 3 hours later to find that the bathmats had been brought but no hand towels. I don’t know if they were running low at the hotel but very annoying that it required multiple requests to get something so simple.
I have been going to Ritz hotels for 30 years. This property was nice, but it was not a Ritz experience. Honestly, I was very disappointed. The service was nice, but not Ritz. It other Ritz are going to this level of service and quality... well not in my book any longer.
Everything was A1. The staff deserves a raise because they were immaculate. The spa had the most wonderful staff. 100/100
We loved the overall staff at the hotel-pool, restaurant and the front door staff went out of their way to help you enjoy your stay
We had several issues with front desk. One we booked on booking.com and they did not honor the price. We had to ask 3xs for them to get a response both on the price issue as well as to get a fridge for our room. Usually expect a better response at this quality of a hotel. The manager finally handled it very professionally but wonder if the staff even told her about our issues.
Premium bedding. Staff exceptionally friendly. Room very spay and comfortable. Balcony is awesome! Great view.
Very fun . Nice hotel with great staff!
The worst experience as the AC broke down within the first hour and instead of switching us out they tried to fix it which apparently was not fixable. The worst is that they charged us for this torturous experience as we are in middle of historic heatwave and not to furnish a room with AC is unconscionable. Motel would beat this hotel. Horrible hotel and I will never refer anyone to stay there. Shameful
Very overpriced hotel for the service . They add on so many extra fees without you being aware. The bill you receive when you check out is very different than what you have been charged so many hidden fees. They only have one restaurant bar and and pool grill. The staff is very bratty they look at their tips 10$ tip is not good enough for them when you valet your car ..
Service was outstanding. The room (we received a complementary upgrade to a suite) was very spacious and well appointed. The bed and pillows were excellent. Worth the money without a doubt.
