Good breakfast.
There was hair in my bed. In the tub. Sticky stuff on the side table. The air wasn’t working properly. The pillows sucked.
Location, quiet and clean
location, parking, clean room, kindness
Surprise! The breakfast was not included (I didn't known)
The night receptionist greeted me very politely at 4am (I drove a rented car from Chicago O’Hare, after my plane was delayed); he extended my check out time to 1 pm. The hotel was clean, felt quite luxurious, the room was very nice, and the breakfast was delicious.
When my wife checked our credit card statement 1-2 weeks later, to our surprise, I was double-charged. When I called Booking, I was told to call the hotel directly, which I did. The receptionist, Wyatt, was not very polite; he told me that I should have called the hotel in advance to inform me about my possible late arrival. Since I did not call, my reservation was “cancelled” at 3 am and my credit card was double-charged. When I was making my reservation from the delayed plane, there was no mention of any need to call about possible late arrival, and the very polite receptionist who checked me in at 4 am never mentioned any issues with my late arrival… When I called Booking again, a nice lady stated I should not have been double-charged, sent me an email with a form to fill out to resolve this dispute, but the form “froze” in the middle of filling it out, and I could never come back to it. I know now which hotel (and perhaps which hotel chain) to avoid, which is a shame, as I stayed in the Hyatt in Keystone, CO many times before and liked it very much.
Awesome! ideal space for large or small conference and/or event. Perfect for a couples and/or family get away. The hotel team is very accommodating and welcoming. The dining room had an extensive menu for anyones palate. Plenty of shopping and variety of restaurants in the area as well.
Our entire stay was a memorable experience. Exceptional customer service, venue and food. Definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency, Coralville!
I attended a National convention for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas in July 2026. The hotel and conference center worked out wonderfully for our convention. We had women from all over the US and Puerto Rico in attendance. The Hotel and conference center staff were very helpful and willing to assist in any way to make our convention a success.
Banquet food excellent. You could cut the meat with a butter knife. Efficient check in and helpful staff. Meeting rooms set up on time. Spacious sleeping rooms.
There we too few double rooms available a d not e ouggh rooms available for thee convention attendees. Many had to stay at other local hotels. The convention hall was very sterile feeling .
Nice hotel. Food good Omelet amazing. Great walking path. Location was good easy to walk to different food options. Convenient to recreation.
Check-in was a breeze. I appreciate the covered parking and it is easily accessible. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean!
It was a beautiful hotel with exceptional views! Hotel was very clean with cozy beds. Numerous restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
do not know didn't eat there. Too expensive.
could of had a microwave, & a actually coffee pot, not a Kuerig in the room. needs a bigger fridge. only had 1 wash rag, one toilet paper roll for 4 people, no complimentary breakfast of any kind. one of the staff, when we checked in was rude.
Great breakfast and service from waitress.
Clean, comfortable, quiet.
We were in town for the Savannah Banana baseball game. The room was clean and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were amazing - best night's sleep in a long time! Restaurant was great! Great food and beverages and the staff was amazing!
Staff was professional, courteous, kind, and engaging. Truly wonderful.
The pillows were not great. Should have brought our own. No support, and felt like it was suffocating you.
Our stay was very last minute and unexpected. The staff was so friendly and the hotel is lovely. We really liked being so close to the river and other shops.
Great refurbished hotel
Nothing
Hyatt Regency in Coralville was very clean; Staff very friendly, great location, beautiful area with many food options very close. We will definitely be returning
Horrible, hot, cheap, overpriced, worn bedding, unusable refrigerator, uncomfortable restaurant, no ambiance, unusable pool and hot tub, socially tone deaf- staff was wearing pride flags on the 4th of July Americas 250th- nothing patriotic anywhere in the hotel. I’ll not be returning to the Coralville Hyatt in the future.
It was very beautiful
Beautiful room, very comfortable!
Price was a little high!
Great location and building. Not great service though. I expect more from a Hyatt than I would a budget hotel. I left my small bag on the vanity when I departed. Nothing of significant value really, but my prescription medications were in it. I didn’t realize until the next morning when I was getting ready for work. I called the hotel let them know the room and my info. No they didn’t find anything. Seems to me it’s an opportunity for a hotel to provide exceptional service when something like this happens. I would be a customer for life if I received a call or email that I left something behind. Too much to expect these days I suppose?
Beautiful hotel, comfortable, clean rooms. Beds very comfortable. The grounds were Beautiful! Our room was very quiet from hallway or other room noises.
Loved that the hotel was within walking distance of Iowa river landing and its shops/restaurants. Realistically it’s such a centrally located hotel- about 10 minutes from Iowa city downtown and 15-25 from other areas of Iowa (de monies, Williamsburg, etc.) Hyatt was clean, lively and we were met with respect and smiles. The staff were accommodating and kind.
I loved this hotel. It was super fancy and really clean. I usually have pretty high standards for Hyatt hotels. It has a convention center connected as well as parking nearby. Super close to anything in Iowa city you need to get to. I definitely plan on staying here again.
The staff is efficient and friendly and my room was lovely. I really enjoyed the nature walk area and the well-maintained landscaping around the hotel. The location is perfect for shopping and there are a variety of restaurants within easy walking distance.
Location , facilities and staff are all wonderful
Nothing
Great location. Short drive to downtown Iowa City. Short drive to the interstate. Nice immediate surrounding area of restaurants and businesses within walking distance. (including Outstanding Ramen restaurant nearby). Beautiful riverwalk nature on the premises.
Parking cost $10. It’s a nice lot. Would be great if that was complimentary.
Room was clean and modern, beds were comfortable, the facilities were well-stocked, and the hotel is beautiful.
The staff are amazing and professional. Room was clean and had many amenities. The river walkways were beautiful. Will definitely be staying here again.
Very clean, and staff was nice
The fridge in the room takes to long to cool down, and I had to buy drinks because of this.
Quiet hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Great restaurants within walking distance and covered parking. This is my second stay and I’ll be back!
We had been here once before and really enjoyed it. The rooms are clean and attractive, and the staff are professional, friendly and efficient. The restaurant and Regency Club are both quite good. We like the pool, hot tub and fitness center, which have all been well maintained. The grounds are nicely landscaped with a great walkway and should be experienced.. We had a minor snafu with our 2:00 Explorist member late checkout request, but Matt at the front desk checked with the general manager , who then okayed it. Our granddaughter is now enrolled at the University of Iowa, so we expect to stay again many times in the future.
Clean and updated. Our king room had a chaise lounge if we ever needed our young daughter to stay with us as well.
Paying for parking
I recently planned an event for my organization, and we hosted a large statewide conference at the Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. From the earliest planning stages through the final attendee departure, the Hyatt team was an incredible partner every step of the way. The pre-planning support was exceptional, the site visit was thorough and thoughtful, and the on-site service was second to none. Shannon and her team consistently went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled, often anticipating needs before we even had to ask. Whether it was assisting with changes on short notice, helping coordinate breaks and meals, supporting our crazy ideas, or managing the countless behind-the-scenes details that make a conference successful, they truly took the best care of us. The hotel itself is beautiful, conveniently located in the Iowa River Landing area, and offers excellent meeting and event space, making it an ideal destination for conferences and events. The staff's commitment to hospitality and customer service is what truly sets this property apart. The conference facilities are extensive and well-equipped for groups of all sizes. No event is ever perfect, and we did receive some attendee feedback that was a little less than perfect. What impressed me most was the team's willingness to listen to feedback and engage in constructive conversations about the guest experience. Their professionalism and dedication to continuous improvement only reinforced why I would choose to work with them again. If you're considering the Hyatt Coralville for a conference, meeting, wedding, or personal stay, I highly recommend it. Our attendees had a wonderful experience, and I look forward to bringing future events back to Coralville and working with this exceptional team again.
The property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are nice. The staff there are so nice! Minna, who works the front desk, is amazing and unforgettable! She’s beautiful, helpful, courteous, but also hilarious! I enjoy the Iowa library and the artwork throughout.
My only MINOR complaint is the poor lighting in the bathrooms (would be okay if even a smaller lighted mirror was available for makeup application). Not complaints but ideas for the venue- consider extending the pool area to allow for an outdoor pool/hot tub/tanning area. Would have been cool if there was an event there- live music or dj to see given I don’t believe anything was booked on the event rooms…
Nice hotel with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Hotel staff is very accommodating and welcoming. If you are visiting the Iowa City/Coralville area this is a great place to stay.
This hotel does not disappoint. We were there 4 years ago and were so impressed we booked it again for our short road trip south. It is a clean property. Friendly staff. What impressed us most was the back of the hotel. There is a beautiful walking path. So if you happened to have eaten too much and want to wear off the calories, this place is for you. It is within walking distance of several restaurants, and the nice Von Maur store.
Wow, this is an amazing hotel! Beautiful, clean, quiet, elegant rooms and a great location. The people on staff were 100% helpful and kind. One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at!
Staying here was so much more luxurious than anticipated! Minna helped us with our stay and made us feel so special and taken care of. Great location with an absolutely stunning backyard area.
Great property
Always ALWAYS a great stay here. Pleasant atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Nearby restaurants and in house restaurant is always delicious. Especially if you get room service and enjoy it in the comfort of your own room. Pool area was nice and clean and we had lots of fun in between the convention.
The breakfast was excellent! The selection was great and the service even better! Also, the decor is very tasteful, and a wonderful outdoor seating area.
Nice Hotel, great staff. Clean, easy parking.
Awesome staff and great hotel. Friendly, helpful and professional staff ! Room was nice and convenient to the meeting space.
We were there for graduation and the hotel was decorated and very welcoming. Rooms are great and very comfortable. Not far from all the Iowa activities.
No breakfast offered. Walls were paper thin, could hear every movement and sound from other rooms
The facility was spotless and modern!
We weren’t able to check in at the check in time. We waited over an hour because our room wasn’t ready. I was there for graduation and wasn’t able to get ready and proceed with our original plan because we couldn’t get into the room on time. I felt that I paid a lot of money not to be able to get in at the correct time.
We celebrated our daughter’s wedding and the Hyatt Regency Coralville did not disappoint our out of town wedding guests. 5 star service that also included food/beverage selections, hotel layout, beautiful and comfortable rooms and easy check-in / out procedures. This is a definite repeat hotel when in the Iowa City / Coralville area.
An outstanding stay every time. Staff was super friendly and efficient, room was meticulously clean, bed was extremely comfortable, and the onsite restaurant is excellent. A++++
Top notch experience! Great location with the ability to walk to shops and restaurants. Loved the hotel decor, staff was attentive and friendly, everything was so clean and comfortable. Eat at the hotel restaurant, they knock it out of the park! Gorgeous view of the river and wetlands. Don't miss a walk on the wetlands trail behind the hotel, it was beautiful and a perfect way to start your day!
The staff at the reception desk, specifically Thomas, Mariem, and Minna, were so very friendly, caring, and helpful! Marco, the gentleman who drives the shuttle was also an affable and welcoming person! Thomas came through when we really needed it---an accessible room for a disabled cousin, and a reduced price room for my husband and me who accompanied our cousin during her study visit at the University of Iowa.
Beautiful surroundings, very welcoming staff, clean and neat everywhere, good beds, calm atmosphere despite lively activity and many guests
Staff was very welcoming and helpful, especially with corporate credit card issues during a late-night check-in. I felt personally welcomed by each staff member I encountered, and the stay was very relaxing.
Love the Hyatt Regency in Iowa City. If you visit, be sure to spend some time in their library of Iowa Writers' Workshop authors. It's an impressive collection that pays tribute to the quality of the University of Iowa and its liberal arts programs.
Excellent accommodations, service, and food. The staff was great. They were helpful and attentive. The area around the Landing in is beautiful. I was upgraded to a room with a view of the river. They've done a great job landscaping and designing the area. I lived seeing people walking along the riverfront.
Breakfast was fine, orange juice, decaf coffee with cream and sweetener, three blueberry pancakes, and three slices of tasty bacon. The buffet breakfast which I had enjoyed on a previous stay and which I expected is served only on weekends, which I did not know when I booked this time. Dinner was not so good. I ordered the sirloin steak, medium rare, which it was. But the outside was charred to burned, and the inside was tough and grisly. The beef fat French fries were drenched in fat, which made them not very tasty--too much fat taste and not enough potato taste. The meal was almost inedible. The only good thing about the meal was the salad which came with the steak, and the salad was very nice. I left most of the French fries on my plate and about one-fourth of the steak. The server asked if I wanted a box for what I had left on my plate, and I said, "No." The room was very nice, spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. There was no shortage of hot water in the bathroom.
Dinner in the on-site restaurant. See above.
Everything about this visit went well. I was there for a conference in April. I was greeted at the desk by a delightful woman with pink hair (sorry for not remembering her name). She covered everything I wanted to know without me having to ask and she was pleasant the entire time. She made me feel like I was a valued customer. I can't say enough about how professional and kind she was. Parking was convenient. The room was clean. Every area of the hotel I frequented was clean. Staff was friendly. As a conference venue, it can be a workout in terms of distance between breakout sessions. That's a trivial thing, though. There is nothing wrong with some extra steps. I know I need to do more.
Wow staying at the Hyatt Regency was quite the experience. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Probably on the medium-soft side of the spectrum. There’s a really cool dimmer switch between the beds that can help you slowly turn on the hallway light so you don’t have to go from dark to bright as the sun right when you wake up. Lots of outlets everywhere you need them. The river view rooms have a fabulous view. There’s a constructed wetland behind the hotel with lots of birds and other Midwest wildlife. Really cool to have out your back door. Breakfast was kind of expensive but filling and tasty. Parking in the parking garage was very easy! All in all, great place to stay and I would love to stay there again.
Location is close to the hospital and close to the university of Iowa campus. The room had beautiful bird designs and everyone in the hotel was very polite and sweet. The food was so good. When I came I planned to order Uber Eats but then I realized the room service food was both cheaper in price and better in quality than outside restaurants so I ended up ordering room service for the trip. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. It’s in a safe area. I really liked it and can’t wait to go back.
Great hotel and venue. Great team of staff members that were engaging, attentive and friendly to interact with. Very responsive to all my requests. Very clean, comfortable, and exceptional value for the $. Great for business travelers, families or solo vacationers. I was visiting a friend and attending a wedding at an off-site location. The hotel was full yet remained quiet in the room areas.
Did not have breakfast. Went to McDonald’s.
No free Breakfast
The Hyatt in Coralville is in a perfect location - easy to get to with lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. Our group especially enjoyed the library space. It was a beautiful room in which to read, sit by the fire, play games, or just have quiet conversation with friends. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.
Super clean facility, great amenities, convenient, does not disappoint. There's an eagle's nest out the back, with eagles soaring overhead. Incredible.
Clean, convienient
Right off the bat they said I was a third party guest.
Everything is clean. staff is lovely. Food was very good!
I had a great time at the IHSADA connvention held at the hotel convention center. very convient location, very helpful staff and all the amentiies needed.
Pool and hot tub were great for our family.
I booked via booking.com. On the description it stated the room we booked included 2 queen beds with a pullout couch. There was no pullout couch and the staff told me it would be 15$ more to get a roll away bed. I was also told that breakfast was included but received no vouchers until I spoke with staff on where the breakfast buffet was.
Everything was clean, and well designed.
Hot tub was nice and hot, pool was big and clean. Bed was comfy. Showers were very nice
Location is terrible - inconvenient parking
The hotel was been updated in the rooms and was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and the food superb at the restaurant. Highly recommend as a place to stay with plenty of activity close by.
The entire facility was so clean, the room esthetic was amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfast in the restaurant!
The vending machine on our floor (3) was completely out of drinks. My husband tried the next floor, which was empty too, before going down to the main floor to get a soda. Not a deal breaker though.
Clean, updated, coffee shop, restaurants close

Price
Very beautiful- nice location. Clean. Room didn’t come with a microwave- just odd but TVs did have Bluetooth capability which is so much better than a microwave. Has a nice full length mirror in room.
Elevators require hotel key- wasn’t warned about this- so always leave room with your key. Maybe booking had the deposit listed wrong- but the deposit was $100 instead of $50. Bathroom didn’t have a vent. Bathroom lights were very dim- makeup ladies- you’ll have to trust in the dim light or do makeup in the desk/bedroom area.
The room was recently updated and everything was clean and new. The king bed and pillows were very comfortable.
At times, staffing seemed inadequate. The bar offered few dining options but the bartender was very nice.
The Hyatt Coralville IA is in a wonderful location. Close to University of Iowa campus, just off of I80, lots of shopping and restaurants in the area. The rooms are large, clean and up to date. They are extremely quiet to outside hallways and street noise. The amenities are exactly what a traveler needs. The hotel atmosphere is beautiful and layout very good to locating the restaurant, elevators , etc. The value of the hotel was great. The staff from when you walk in the door through restaurant and bar staff, maids and the front desk all displayed Friendly and professional customer service. All the Hyatt staff there are great ambassadors for the Hyatt. I look forward to more stays at the Hyatt.
Excellent service, very attentive front desk and personnel, clean areas and rooms. Rooms have all the amenities needed.
