The beautiful swimming pool, the great views and the excellent location.

The apartment (2381) was very humid, with a persistent unpleasant smell. The bedding was yellowed and dated, and the breakfast was disappointing for a 5-star hotel. Some staff members also had difficulties communicating in English.

И этот позорный залог в гостинице 100 евро +... за гранью понимания...

The rooms were very spacious, the restaurant was delicious

The staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Room cleaning and service was prompt

Old rooms. Dimmers flickered through the night even when they were off. Room smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. 3 towels instead of 4 were given even though booking said 2 adults and 2 kids ( same for toiletries ). Aircon was not effective.

Sheraton in Shanghai is amazing, breakfast various and very good. The room was big, comfortable and the swimming pool big and relaxing. Bring a swim cap, otherwise you will be charged 6.5 € for it (and it is really too much). the hotel is in South Pudong, so far from the chaos of the city centre. Personnel at the reception was fantastic, as long as gave us the room in the morning to rest a little bit after the intercontinental trip! The metro was just 1 minute by walk.

Everything perfect. hosts need to expect not to be in the city centre but in a served area, full of restaurants and a mall, but quiet and calm

The front desk staff don’t speak English very well; they don’t understand some questions or requests. When you ask for help with certain issues, room service might just hang up and ignore your question. They don’t help with luggage, even if they see that you’re alone and pregnant. They just stare at you while you struggle to drag a 32-kg suitcase. Alipay didn’t work at the front desk, so I had to pay with a credit card, which charged exorbitant fees for international cards. I ordered breakfast to my room, but they forgot half the order and didn’t bring it until 15 minutes later. Overall, I have mixed feelings about choosing this hotel. The only bright spot was the wonderful housekeeping staff—it was very clean. They were polite and cleaned quickly.

The receptionists are not so friendly and don't smile much when dealing with customers. Should take a leaf from Singapore Airlines.

We stayed here in May 2026, attending a conference. The hotel seems to have two main buildings and my room was in a poor one. The room had a wet carpet in places for some reason, a tiny window making it feel like a cell, a musty smell and then the power went out in my room only. No idea why. Food at lunch was ok but the breakfast offering wasn't extensive and felt like being in a school canteen. The location is a 20 minute taxi ride to the Bund. I wouldn't choose to return to this hotel. I think there is better value elsewhere.

Since more than 1 year i come in this hotel almost every month, and the journey is always comfortable. Near to subway and next to city center. Room are wide and bed very comfortable. But especially the staff is always very helpful. Especially the manager Evan, who she always help to let you be more comfortable as possible, and the chef of the lounge, very nice person who cooke delicious food. Highly recommend

Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel et la chambre très confortable. Le personnel est agréable et a essayé de nous aider avec le Wifi (pas possibilité d'utiliser Google map et Facebook en Chine..)

Bien penser à prendre un bonnet pour la piscine (bonnet obligatoire) car sinon on doit le payer (avec un prix assez cher pour 2 personnes). Il manque peut-être un bain à remous pour une plus grande détente côté piscine :)

Good proximity to underground. Room was nice.

1st day breakfast was pandemonium (just after 9:00) . Not enough tables and staff struggled to keep up with table clearing. There were no mugs available at coffee machines and at no point we were there were they replenished.

Breakfast was fairly limited, nothing amazing, but not too undersupplied either. The hotel room was clean and the shower is amazing. The view from the 32nd floor was breathtaking!

The hotel was overbooked and even through we paid in advance, they still booked our rooms to other people anyway, leading us to arriving late at night only to find out we have no rooms. They attempted to give us apartments instead of the hotel and this was extremely poor. The apartments are old, broken, poor odour and basically falling apart. This is not what I expected from such a name of a hotel or rating. I would rate this hotel a good 4-star in terms of hotel rooms and 2-3 stars in terms of the apartments. Worst of all was the service received from the front desk upon arrival.

There was a creaking sound coming from the floor. The reception staff did not speak English. The reception staff offered a free room upgrade, but at checkout, they requested an additional charge for an extra bed. (After discussion, I was able to pay without the extra bed charge. Updated: They charged me for the extra bed after two days without any notification.) I was heard it was a free room upgrade, so I expected the upgrade is from a superial king room to a premire sweet king room. However, it was actually a change from a hotel room to a residence. (I couldn't communicate with the staff in English, so I used a translation app, and there may have been misunderstandings due to translation errors.) In addition, do not book the hotel in China through "booking.com". The access to this website in China is unstable. It seems accessing to "booking.com" is forbidden in China.

What’s especially impressive is the warm and friendly attitude of the Executive Lounge and front desk staff — they are not only beautiful and kind-hearted but also always ready to help. Ms. Vivi Xing from the breakfast noodle station is particularly memorable: she’s gracious, attentive, and has an excellent memory for guests’ preferences — a true sign of her professionalism. The concierge team also deserves high praise for their meticulous care and management of stored items; I have used the parcel and delivery services many times without a single issue. This hotel truly makes guests feel at home. It is one of the most worthwhile brand hotels to stay at in the Pudong area, far exceeding expectations in every aspect. I especially recommend it to Marriott Bonvoy elite members, as the hotel sincerely honors and faithfully delivers all elite benefits.

My family and I had an outstanding stay at this hotel. It truly meets the standards of a five-star property. The children thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the pool, and the hotel’s location made getting around extremely convenient. All the staff members were warm and attentive, and special thanks go to Kevin at the front desk for his many helpful arrangements. Each morning, we were pleased to see the General Manager, Mr. Pauschardt, in the lobby, personally assisting guests with their needs. An excellent experience from start to finish!

Tuis is a first 5 start hotel wher I got spotted bed linings. Uou can see it was great hotel 10 years ago but mattresses pretty old , spotted bed lining and breakfast has no western way meal style and I understand because there are only few foreign guest. Mostly occupied by locals.

Good 4 star hotel. Could be 5 star but got old spotted linen and some other small things. Breakfast is good but overcrowded. Mostly asian food type.
