Baleka Resort Hotel & Spa

Although the grounds and pool were nice unfortunately our room was not. It was an older one down the back and wasn’t the cleanest. Although the band at night was loud it didn’t really bother us as we love music

Noisy in rooms close to the bar area until midnight, great barbershop and spa onsite.

This is a lovely, older style hotel. The onsite spa is beautiful, and the lady who runs the little shop is lovely. Breakfast was great (from Fat Buddha, wasn't included in my room rate but the Indonesian breakfast meals and coffee to purchase were great!). Very central location and easy to walk around, but very touristy and lots of bars. I will definitely stay again for a few nights if I want the busy areas. Rooms quite dated but comfortable, clean and spacious for the price.

Location was great room clean and tidy staff great pool was good but not enough pool chairs. The only negative thing was it was a bit noisy.

We have stayed here twice now and will continue to stay in the future. Great location. Comfortable bed which is important to us. Two pools and one has easy access into it. Staff are helpful and friendly. Very good three star hotel.

Convenient and close to shops and many eating facilities. On the property massage and beauty facilities well managed. This is Our 2nd visit to this very reasonably priced hotel. Only critisism is bath towels could do with replacement but buy coloured not white, which although clean looked grey. Beds very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay

Easy walking distance to Legian Beach. Quiet area while still having access to a small selection of restaurants and bars.

Loved our ground floor between the pools. Need to put outdoor table and chairs

One room we had smelt like mold. Not much pool service. But it was ok

This is a little gem hidden away but right in the heart of everything great villa room with a beautiful outlook bathroom. Great restaurant/bar at the back called fat buddha and lots of shopping, spas and restaurants/right at your doorstep

Fantastic location. Really lovely resort with friendly helpful staff. Two pools with easy access into the lagoon pool and pool bar in the other pool near the restaurant. We stayed in a studio which was very spacious and clean. Located on the ground floor.

Air conditioning wasn't cool enough in the room. Apart from that it was perfect.

We had a lovely stay here as a family of 7, we booked 3 rooms. Very clean with lovely tropical gardens. Location was great as we could just step out and be amongst many restaurants, shops etc Only problem we had was our room was right next to the attached bar/ restaurant and each night the noise from the live music was way too much when you are only a few metres away … make sure to choose a room up the other end near the reception end. But overall a great affordable place to stay.

Good little hotel allot of restaurants around but not much shopping u have to walk abit. Very close to the beach if u cut through other hotels. Great food it attracts more of an older group 50 up.

This was our 4th stay at the Baleka. The location is superb! Everything you need is within short walking distance. There are multiple mini marts, restaurants everywhere (including it's own The Fat Buddha), and local shopping. Room service is great and affordable. The staff are friendly and very happy to assist with anything. Both pools are sparkling clean, and the atmosphere amongst guests was friendly and relaxed. Daily pool towels are also provided. We stayed in a studio room, which had a kitchenette, with a larger fridge and a microwave. The room was a little dated, but huge, and total value for money! Air conditioning is great, cleaned daily. There really isn't much to fault. If you want a value for money stay in a superb location then you really can't go past it. Thank you to all the staff, and we look forward to seeing you again!

Love the location etc however rooms need upgrading and more attention to detail eg tv reception not good,some airconditioners faulty and little things like loose screws.

Property a little bit tired, needs a little bit of a revamp to bring it up to standard. In saying that price was cheap. I would stay again. Staff always friendly

Great location however property lacked a good clean, sheets and towels were stained and the bathroom was pretty dirty

Very tired looking, particularly the bathroom, shower head is cracked so water goes everywhere, mould on the grout, tub and basin stained so looks gritty even though it’s not, definitely needs a makeover. It is certainly adequate for short stays. Staff are lovely, food is good, location is convenient too.

Nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Good for the price and location. Things to improve on, the plugs in the bath and basin were not working correctly. The water would not drain. The TV wouldnt connect to the Baleka internet and not able to fix before I left, so not able to watch the apps on TV.

This Hotel is definitely value for what you pay to stay here. Very central to everything. Only problem for us the wifi would not work in our room. Spoke to front desk but they couldn’t fix it.

Baleka is close to perfect. I had a lagoon pool room, which I highly recommend. Cleanliness of the room was above good. Close to many eating opportunities and easily available for transport. Very quiet property that is maintained to a high standard. Staff was excellent,friendly and efficient. My only criticism is that the shower was over the bath which is not my preference. Highly recommended and will be returning there next trip.

Musty rooms all smelt so bad area around outside rats galore putrid smell all around outside pool was nice staff were nice They say pool bar no one in bar most of day smoking around the pool a turn off too should not be accepted there amongst kids and other people who do not smoke really filled with older people who drink and smoke all day The bed was also uncomfortable the towels smelt after each time placed in room I do believe they were clean towels but the smell was so bad not a great experience of Bali we are glad that we are going home and won't be returning to Bali any time soon

Good value for the quality of the property. Clean and besitiful landscape and pool area. Rooms are specious. They let us check in early at no charge, since our flight arrived at 745am. The reception staff, and ckeaning staff and sevurity staff are all very friendly and helpful. They put naphthalene balls in the bathroom and i couldn't stand the smell so i got rid of it. But they keep putting them in bathroom each time they clean. I didn't know what for because the bathrooms are very clean.

Very old room. Cupboard door fell off. Bathroom old and dirty. Shower hardly working. A lot of mosquitoes able to get in the room. Staff friendly and helpful. Have stayed at this hotel many times but will not stay again

Great location

The resort itself is a little dated, the pool outstanding, plenty of mosquitos, walking distance to everything, and the food at the Fat Budda really good and a great value!

Security not interested in making sure guests are ok when it is late at night and people are using the pool very late and no control over noise levels coming from the restaurant way passed midnight Will never stay again

THE MEALS AT FAT BUDDAH WHERE EXCELLENT. THE SERVICE WAS VERY SLOW. THE STAFF WHERE POLITE AND COURTEOUS. THE CLEANING STAFF WHERE VERY OBLIGING. THE TAXES CHARGED ARE A BIT OVER THE TOP.

We had a great time but fat budda isn’t good for cocktails

The resort is clean and in a good condition. The staff are friendly and there is a driveway making it easy to get taxis or grabs. Just be aware that this is a resort with all its facilities open to public so room service won’t be charged to your room but directly to the restaurant attached to it , same with cafe. The guest is very relaxed and friendly. More of a relaxing resort than a party one. A plus for people wanting to travel safe but on a budget

Hidden little gem for me, positives, beautiful staff, nice lagoon style pool, rooms neat and well presented, close to shops, restaurants and a short walk to the beach for the beautiful sunsets & cold bintangs. Not so positives, if your room is within 5 or 6 rooms of the Fat Buddha you are going to find the noise levels to much, live music till 2am is something they do not tell you. Much better near the lagoon pool in the studios or lagoon access room. Mery in the coffee shop makes a great carrot cake and beautiful coffee.

The manager and staff were amazing, would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends, have booked for our next trip

I would like to get what I asked for. I asked for a downstairs room and instead got it upstairs room again same as last year. I wish I could get the room. I require other than that. The experience was okay.

Decent accommodation on a budget.

Disappointing in comparison to previous stays at the Baleka. Didn't get the room I originally booked and ended up with a double twin, rather than a double, with stains on both pillowcases, which were either not changed from the previous booking or were not washed properly. The rooms were tended to daily, but felt like the bed sheets weren't changed at all and the towels weren't changed regularly, with mould running along the bath seal to the wall. The smell eminating out the pipes required the bath and sink plug to be engaged to help eliminate. Was disappointing and not the Baleka I was previously used to.

loved the size of our room, bed was great, shower had good pressure and hot water, aircon worked well not that we were in the room much. swim up pool fantastic cocktails on point. location was great 5-10min walk to beach good food all around this loction.

Fabulous but pool cold

The staff are amazing, its very noisy from the bar but had some amazing bands( just went on a bit late for us older people) we were moved the 2nd night, the hotel is looking a bit tired but fairly good value for money.

Party of 2 x 2. The rooms are not cleaned properly. The mould around the bath/shower and bath itself is just not good enough. I ended up with bedbug bites and a pharmacy bill of $45.00 au. They did clean and replace my matress but damage was done. Any used glass or cup were wiped out with a damp cloth. I had to request they were washed properly.The towels and bed linen were old and grey. Whilst I'm ok with music from fat Buddha, after 2 weeks it starts to get to you as its so blinking loud. We would not stay here again.. Shame they are not maintaining this venue.

The room was spacious and clean. There was a problem with a blocked drain in the shower and a terrible smell coming out of the drains. Staff dealt with this quickly after i reported it. The location is good if you want to party, but a little too hectic if you want to relax in the calm. The gardens at the hotel were quiet though

Needs upgrades, repair, maintenance,is shabby, unloved missing basic expectancies,which is a pity as it has good bones! Nothing really works

Great hotel

My sister and i stay at this hotel every year ,its inproving all the time. This time had lots more chairs around the pool areas which was fabulos. The only suggestion i have this time round is they dont surply hand towels in the bathroom and when i asked for them they said only the premium rooms have them ,well we always book the deluxe lagoon pool view so i guessing thats not premium enough. In saying that is a great hotel in a great location . Thankyou so much for our stay see you next year.

A lot of smoking next door no filter perhaps get smoking and non smoking room areas

Centrally located property quiet one end, loud on the other as resort adjoins the Fat Buddha which has entertainment 7 days per week till late. Great experience overall.

Staff were very accommodating and rooms were cleaned daily. It is located centrally in Legion and within walking distance to the beach/shops/restaurants. First time I have stayed here and would definitely recommend and will return. Restaurant attached to the front of the hotel (Fat Buddha) is a little overpriced but offer a simple breakfast which is included with some room packages. The restaurant offer live sporting matches on big screen tvs and they have some great live entertainment each night. Overall ****

Great place to stay on the heart of Legian. Good pools & surround grounds. loads of restaurants nearby. Hotel with good amenities. Would highly recommend.
