Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Perfectly located and fantastic facilities at the resort. The resort and resort staff were lovely. The Club Bali apartments however I would not stay again. The whole time the air conditioner leaked, literally water all over the tiled floor, had to keep putting towels down on the floor, told them a few times and never fixed. It says there’s house keeping daily and 24 hour reception. When actually house keeping was every second day, one day we got back and didn’t have towels, when asked they said they were still washing them. Had to use half of them to clean up the floor. Reception was only open 9-10. Not a big deal but shouldn’t advertise it everywhere if it’s not true. The biggest annoyance was the fact that I had arranged late check out before we arrived, all in writing and they confirmed how much it would cost ($40) on the last day I got multiple phone calls and texts and people coming up to me saying I was late to checkout. Even the cleaners. I showed them the proof I had a late checkout till 6pm. Then even after that they said yeah ok $50 extra. I told them no I had already arranged it and it was $40. To that I was told oh special price for you. No that’s the price you gave. Even at 4.30pm staff were asking my daughter when we would be checking out!! Unbelievable! Went and checked out at 5pm and within 30min I was getting phone calls wanting money even though they had my card details. Now I need to make sure they don’t take more than $40. Next time we will stay elsewhere
Great place great position for everything Bali
Good accommodation.
Very rundown..toilet needing repairing 4 times Water leaking from ceiling in lobby nothing being done about it
Recently stayed here with my two young daughters. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with a sofa bed. Was quite an outdated room but my god it was worth it. It was cleaned every second day + staff & management just went above and beyond to cater our needs. Manager even taking me to and from dentist appointments no money asked for! With the use of jayakarta resort amenities such as breakfast and kids swimming pools ect. I would definitely stay here again! Affordable and amazing thank you club Bali
Do Not Stay at this Hotel!!! It is so run down and neglected it’s not even worth the cheap nightly price. EVERYTHING is either damaged or faulty. The beds are as soft as a granite floor. The pull out bed/couch in the lounge is so broken that even the cleaner had difficulty putting it back together. Anything fabric has stains on it and the quality of bedding is atrocious. I noticed some previous guests have mentioned the state of the aircon units, they are 100% correct on all counts. Decrepit, rusted to its core, and leaks. Not only that but they are situated about 2feet away directly outside in line with where you lay your head, and they are overbearingly loud. 100% health risk in the state they are in. So they say you can use the amenities. Ok well the pool is not at the Club Bali site, it’s down a driveway and through reception of Jayakarta Hotel. Also where the restaurant and food is prepared. Which Club Bali patrons must pay for on the day and trust me they will. I had a different charge almost every day for my 6yo and I to eat breakfast. Menu did not alter during our stay. So if you want to have a swim, make sure you bring a towel provided by Club Bali as The Jayakarta WILL NOT provide you with a towel to use as with the other guests, citing “different management”. Plus the towels Club Bali provide are worn and old white with blue stripes whereas the Jayakarta provides good quality green and blue towels so definitely one way of making a club Bali guest stand out and feel second class. No matter how polite the towel guys were asked they would not lend a towel to dry off. But wait there’s more! We had organised transfers to the hotel upon arrival and after the lengthy wait to get thru customs to walk up and down past all the drivers with signs our name was not to be found. For context it was late afternoon. Upon calling the hotel and having a family member that was already at the hotel question the whereabouts, if at all of our driver it quickly became apparent that there was no driver and I would have to find transport to the hotel myself. Mind you I am travelling with my 6yo daughter and it’s her first overseas trip anywhere. We were both stressed out and I was furious with Club Bali as I made sure I had airport transfers. Same when leaving, early morning departure and no one at reception, no driver, nothing! I had to race up to the Jayakarta reception and book a taxi as dragging my daughter and our baggage out to the street was not what I had in mind. Taxi eventually arrived, but the driver took us on a longer route obviously to get more $. I’ve been to Bali 14 times now, I’m 51, and I will NEVER return as not only is the hotel run down, so is Bali itself. Also IT IS NOT AS CHEAP AS IT USED TO BE!! They sting you for everything. The shop items are the worst I’ve ever seen and the harassment to buy by shop vendors is far from pleasant. The food is sub par. You will struggle to find food that a child under 10 enjoys that’s reasonably healthy. I even bought McDonalds for my daughter and my cousins kids and they all said it was yucky. I’m not finished! My daughter got a small zap when plugging in my iPad, the cords were already in the socket, she was just putting the cord into the iPad and it shocked her. The hotel backs onto a rubbish tip where they simply dump all the offerings that are collected at the end of each day. Reception was hit and miss, sometimes there was someone there, sometimes not! I asked for some information on our flights which they said they’d find out for us and they obviously forgot. Don’t book a taxi/driver thru reception as they will rip you off with a smile on their face. For example, a trip to Bali Zoo and back, 7000000Rp. As it was my first day and my daughter really wanted to go I just accepted it not thinking and realised during the trip of how much that actually was. They will try to get you to stop at Silver factories and coffee plantations along the way as they obviously get commission. So basically we are just walking wallets and there is no going above and beyond, it’s the bare minimum for maximum dollar. So I warn anybody contemplating staying at this hotel or actually anyone going to Bali, don’t do it, go somewhere where it’s not a filthy disease ridden and safety and risk factor issue. Save your hard earned cash and spend it on something worthwhile as you will feel ripped off and with not much to show from it if you go to Bali or stay at this hotel. Extremely disappointed and regret both the hotel and destination. Never again!!!
Good stay but facilities were ageing and in need of repair. Great location but not so great for families....too noisy and chaotic.
Was a great hotel once upon a time, is a run down place thats in need of a renovation now
Our son was seriously injured at this hotel due to negligence by the staff. DO NOT STAY HERE. The property is extremely run down and not taken care of. There was a rat in the roof, it was mold and bug infested, and the air conditioners leaked water creating puddles on the slippery tile floor. Maintenance came and 'fixed' the AC. But the issue kept occurring. Our son ended up falling and hitting his head so hard we had to take him to the hospital for a CT scan of his head. The manager did not care. We finally got him to agree to cover the hospital bill as our son was injured so to property negligence. Since we left, he has avoided our phone calls and pretends there is no manager. This place does not care about the safety of their guests and families. DO NOT STAY HERE.

This place is a disgusting place to stay and is run by horrible people who do not care about the safety of their guests and their families. We got food poisoning from the restaurant. Our kids ended up getting fevers and needing antibiotics. DO NOT STAY HERE.
The location and shared facilities of the Jayakarta Hotel that you have access to are good, however the state of the two bedroom suites was very disappointing. Heavy mold smell with black mold throughout the air conditioners which look like they hadn’t been cleaned in years to the worn and torn curtains and furniture. Overall I guess you get what you pay for.
Had a massive gastro outbreak no staff attempting to deep clean or manage situation shares facilities with jayakarta. Apartment dirty and furniture old and dirty and uncomfortable bedding
Lovely staff!
This is part of the jayakarta hotel property. The club Bali family suites is a little run down and old… and in need of a refresh/redecorating/renovation. But if you are out of the room most of the time enjoying other activities in Bali… it won’t matter too much. Staff do try their best. Seems like they also know the place badly needs a refresh
When we first arrived we thought that we had been conned.. the property actually sits inside another beautiful resort which is what is pictured, the property you are paying for is very old and run down looking. But we thought we wouldn’t be in the room much so it would be okay. We booked a family suite for 2 adults two children, one queen bed and a sofa bed, one tiny thin sheet for the main bed and the air conditioner was broken and stuck on 20 degrees which sounds great but it gets very cold over night. We asked for pillows and sheets for our kids We got one small decorative pillow and a thin blanket that was stiff with age and they claimed that’s all they had. And the lounge air con was also broken. 4 remotes in the room for two air cons and none actually controlled the units. We asked for more towels they were stained heavily. The bathroom has mould and the shower head is so built up with grime that the water can barely get through. This was all in the first hour. So we thought we would visit the beautiful pool, asked for pool towels and were again handed tomatoe sauce stained towels, and were told there was actually no pool on site and we could use the other resorts pool and facilities. We asked for blankets and pillows throughout the stay and were met with them not having enough. We got Bali belly and spent 12 hours listening to hammering on our wall whilst they renovated the room next to us. The resort that was pictured in the ad that we could use was beautiful.
Some apartments better than others, bed was comfortable We had small balcony, friends had big balcony in complex opposite. Not bad for price in good location close to restaurants, shopping and coffee. Felt safe, cheap option for families if no interconnecting rooms available.
Was amazing walk down to jayakata alsome pool and good food overall recommend this place we stayed 5 nights with our 3 kids and loved it
.
Very small hotell with rooms. Not same as expedia post. They are using from other places nearby. The staff were lovely. Just the hotel wasn't we expected
Was very good for the price. Some rooms are better than others though. I recommend a two bedroom apartment.
The staff are friendly and helpful , the building is a little dated and could do with new mattresses but overall clean and comfortable
Nothing was a problem for the staff. We felt comfortable and safe. The room was clean, fully Air Conditioned with plenty of clean water to drink. This is our second time in Club Bali located on the grounds of Jayakarta and you can't beat it for value. Thanx from Jeff & Karen
Staff were excellent. Its a bit of a fixer upper but clean. Only had one issue we had no hot water ti shower. We were offered to change rooms but as we were only there 3 days we decided not to change rooms.
Don’t be fooled by the beautiful photos you view when looking at the property. The photos are quite old as it’s quite different now. The resort is very run down and needs a lot of TLC, leaking aircon units, doors that don’t close properly, showers don’t work properly, main shower had no screen or curtain and flooded the entire bathroom, rats in the ceiling and walls. Second bathroom vanity had a gap with a rats tail protruding from the wall. Second bathroom the sink was ready to fall off. The pool also was about a 200 - 250 metre walk which is shared by 3 hotels. Definitely would not stay here again.
I sort of know Bali quite well-( not really well) lived here one year during lockdown -found this place by chance a few weeks ago when bringing some friends to Bali from my base in Jakarta Bad Points 1) Quite Old 2) Not the place to go if you want quiet quiet -although rooms soundproof? Great Points 1) Location -sort of you walk from your suite 100m meters in between two pools -great music -then across road to sea. 2) Great supermarket nearby- called Bintang -has great beers, food spirits etc.-maybe 15 /20 minutes walk? 3) Actually cooking facilities in suite-did not use as did not know beforehand. 4) Great Greek Restaurant within 10 minutes walk -really nice food called Santonori -even my Indonesian friends liked-but lots of other options. 5) Overall a great location -Seminak a great area of Bali-but lots of people -you want quiet try Sanur -we went there first this time my Indonesian friends did not like -too quiet so moved after two days. 6) Nice people there-mainly Australians -very safe and secure .
We didn’t like it and left
The location was amazing and the wider property was enjoyable however the rooms need some maintenance and updating.
Great location but the rooms where a little old and cleaning/ housekeeping is every 2 nd day not daily
Great staff, loved that we could have our family of 6 together in one space, & Mum next door! 👍 Fish pond out the front kept our kids entertained for hours, & resort & pool facilities down the road were perfect for us for buffet breakfast & early morning swims for the kids! 👌
Always stay at this motel, first time using 2 bedroom suite, was great and good price. Overall site is not westernised, its very bali. Give location a try. Beach is 2 minute walk from motel pool. Staff are fantastic. Plenty of stores and restaurants in the area
Booked a family suit at club Bali family suits which is not actually part of the the whole hotel showing of the pictures are incorrect!!! first night we had no power, wen ever u have a shower water would leak all over the floor, toilet would always be blocked, only had a sheet on beds! Couldn’t get towels at swimming pool because the pool advertised as club bali wasn’t actually part of the hotel. There was rarely any one at the reception, very disappointing
The Water pressure was non existant in the showers, its a joke the water pressure, ( not hard to add a pump inline to push water) the toilet had to be repaired twice in 4 days as it continued to drip and needed a new cistern ( that never happened) was still leaking when we left
we just had 10 days at Club Bali and have to say it is a great place to stay, huge 2 bedroom apartment on high floor we even had sea views ,the staff were lovely very helpful especially Sriasih from the moment she greeted us to the time we checked out she was happy to help with anything we needed a big thankyou to her for making our stay even better .We would definitely recommend staying here
Club Bali is situated within the beautiful grounds of the The Jayakarta Hotel. However, it would be in the interests of Expedia to restrict its accomodation options to those that meet a minimum standard of 2/3 stars.
They charged me double . It was filthy
Booked 3-bedroom unit with Club Bali points worth of 3years+ membership fee. What we got were what looked like a hardly maintained old unit, stinky rooms and dirty bathrooms. The furnitures are tired, rooms are dark, the building roof structures sound torn apart during the heavy rains, we couldn’t sleep every night. Really difficult to call staff / room service, as most of the staff we met were Jayakarta Hotel staff, which hesitant to attend the needs of Club Bali guests and would refer us to the non-existent Club-Bali staff instead. The overall stays were not worth even third the price we paid! Disappointing and ruin our long-awaited family trip to Bali. Wouldn’t ever renew my membership with Club Bali.
We were delighted with out stay. The 2 bedroom apartment was huge, plenty of room for the kids to run around. Staff always greeted us with a smile and the fact we could use the hotel facilities was great. Excellent location, right on the beach and many restaurants within the few meters of your front door. Will definitely be back.
2 bed apartment. Very spacious, good amount of seating. Use of all facilities excellent. Gym, pools, restaurants, etc . Amazing. Clean pools, clean facilities all round.staff friendly and always helpful. One negative to point out is the slip hazards around pool. Very dangerous. Take care , walk slow
is a nice vacation for my family, the hotel facility is nice, we are enjoying. location of the hotel is good convenient enough, next to the seaside, food stall, shopping street, mini mart. Although outside the hotel is lively but inside the hotel is a very peaceful place.
The furniture in the room is a bit outdated but still looks OK. Location is perfect, easy access to Legian beach. Cooking equipment is complete, quiet environment, large swimming pools. Easy access to another places, such as Sunset Road, gift shops, attractions such as Upside Down, World of Magic, DMZ. We stayed for 5 nights, my son loves it so much.
As expected. Was great that we could stay a couple hours later at a minimal cost
The property is old. The photos of the exterior, grassed areas and pools are of another resort. Club Bali family suites has no pools. It has a tiny fish pond at the entrance to reception. This is the closest thing to a pool that it has. Had great difficulty getting a refund and moving to a proper resort
Chances are you’ve looked at club Bali family suites because they’re description says it’s great for families, that they have pools and kids club and the beach and playgrounds and beautiful gardens? Well, if that’s what you’re expecting DO NOT book here. Because all of those facilities are part of a different motel which club Bali guests have access too. It’s all a very deceiving marketing ploy and it sucks! This isn’t our first rodeo in Bali; we’ve come to know what to expect and love from a motel and the staff and this disappoints in every regard Every motel we’ve stayed at in Bali we have been greeted wit such enthusiasm, cold drinks and cold towels. Not here. No, not at all. We were treated almost as if we were an inconvenience. Now we travelled as a family group of 4 adults and 2 kids (including an infant) and were really looking forward to the Bali hospitality. At check in we asked about changing one room to be a 2 bedroom which they were most unhappy about and quoted us a price that exceed the price advertised right there in reception! We didn’t move rooms despite showing them they were overcharging us. They actually told us we were wrong and can’t understand the price. So we eventually head up to the room in the oldest lift I’ve ever been in. It stunk like dense old air. Not a good start The room. The room was as pictured; lounge/dining area, a small hall with a bathroom off to the side and the bedroom at the end. Exactly as we expected. What we didn’t expect however was the smell. Mildew, old, dirty air con smell. In both rooms. Coincidentally, both air cons broke on the first night. With both our kids crying in the now 38 degree room, wanting to go to bed for the night after a big day of travel we awaited the hotel to advise what we should do. 4 phone calls to reception and 2 visits to reception later we finally had a maintenance man in one room to repair the aircon. He used our table as a ladder (which was not cleaned afterwards) and came and went 3 times and eventually (to the tunes of our exhausted kids crying close to the middle of the night) or air con was fixed. Room 2 got fixed the next day (it needed re-gassing). The whole place is so dated. The showers are shower over bath. Not amazing deep plunge baths like you might expect from many of the photos. Now let’s get to outside. You’re expecting pools and restaurant and playground and stunning gardens right? Well you get them but You must first leave your motel and walk up a long driveway and enter an entirely different resort. Club Bali has their accomodation buildings and that’s all. They actually have NONE of their own extra amenities. It’s so dull and lifeless. Minimal gardens at club Bali. All the beautiful stuff you’re seeing in the photos is from the other resort. Wifi. Wifi is the only thing I can comment on positively. It works fast and well. You have to reconnect often (if you lock your phone or don’t use it for a bit it cuts off) but that’s ok. It’s otherwise good internet. The manager, if you’re unlucky enough to even meet him is unhelpful and unkind. Slightly arrogant and NEVER available. Told us on multiple occasions that the hotel does have all those facilities because we can access them. We can access the convenience store accross from the hotel; does not mean the hotel has it. They need to change their wording to say “guest of club Bali can access all the facilities of jayakarta resort because we have none of our own to offer” Anyways, be warned. Read the reviews and more importantly read the reply from the manager on the negative comments. Consider what you want from a resort as there are a million other resorts that actually have their own facilities and will offer the traditional Bali hospitality which is what makes Bali so amazing.
Smelly rooms with air conditioning that doesn’t work in the family rooms. Tried to upgrade room and was quoted 900,000 extra per night. Checked their own website and could do it for 400,000. So stuck with smelly hot rooms. Pictures really do not match description. Read others reviews.....
Complete cooking equipment, making it suitable as a family vacation spot. Quiet environment, large pool and many sport facilities, it is make a "one stop vacation place" This place is close to public entertainment facilities too
Stayed here for 5 days with a family of 4. We knew it wouldn’t be fancy and just a place to sleep and get changed in between the beach and shopping. It was better than expected and super clean. Everything is old shoe but seems to be well maintained and great for the price. Amenities of the Jayakarta were fine to use, just wish they stopped the towels on the empty deck chairs all day. Several times we couldn’t find a spare deck chair. Would definitely stay here again for a short stay.
I contacted the hotel twice via hotels.com, once by email and once by Facebook to ask if the hotel do transfers from the airport and could we please have an infant cot and never received a reply, communication very poor. I could even see they had seen my message on Facebook and just chose not to reply. We arrived late at night and so of course... no infant cot. There also weren’t any towels in our room so we had to ask for them the following morning, but due to the language barrier the housekeeping staff just kept telling us to leave our towels on the floor, which is fine... if we had towels to leave on the floor! So after a 10 minute exchange of feeling like we were accused of stealing towels they finally told us they’d bring some up. It’s an unusual set up where it’s right next to the jayakarta so you use their pool but pay cash for poolside service instead of charging to your room, and when we went to the restaurant the day after we arrived there was this strange moment where they wouldn’t seat us but couldn’t tell us why, it turns out that we had to pay our reception for breakfast and then they’d give us a ticket for us to take to the restaurant (owned by jayakarta) I’m sure we weren’t the first people to make this mistake but instead of telling us what to do, our family of four was just left standing there wondering what the hell was going on. So we just went to the coffee club next door where the service was superb and the wifi free.
This property will meet your needs if you are looking for a good location, decent price and average amenities. The staff is great. Property had great Balinese furnishings, maybe original, which was cool. The challenge was that when you go on your balcony you can see the soffit was starting to fall off the roof. Needs some upkeep. I would recommend the place but not likely for a high price or long stay.
The Jayakarta Resort is great other than the lack of sun lounges due to selfish people reserving them for extended periods when not at the pool and the ridiculous amount they charge for a Bintang (60,000 Rupiah) - around twice what you pay immediately next to the resort on the beach or street. Even much more than in nice restaurants nearby. The room was tired but about as expected as this isn't 5 star accommodation. Some of the switches on the lamps made me a little nervous. Smelled a little musty but wasn't a big bother. The cleaning left a little to be desired. You could clean you feet, walk around for 5 minutes inside and they would be black again. When our young son unfortunately threw up on the sheets they quickly replaced them, which was much appreciated. Disappointingly on check-out we were hit with a 350,000 Rupiah (approx. $35 AUD) charge as there was a small pink mark on one of the sheets from some wet bathers inadvertently being placed on the sheets. I'm sure some Napisan would have fixed them but there was no point arguing. Left a bad taste in our mouths as we left the room in tidy condition.
Needs a tea towel in the kitchen and hand towels in the bathroom. Other than that very relaxing holiday. You have the use of all the facilities at the Jayakarta and the location is across the road from Legian beach and quite central to everything.
Great5 placed overall to enjoy Bali. Friendly staff, spacious room, cleaness, large garden and various swimmingpools to choose. Easy beach access as well shops, resto, bars, ATM and more all nearby the hotel.
Our family loved our stay at Club Bali. We have a larger family so had to have a double room. Staff all very lovely and helpful. The rooms are nice and large. Good amenities. We would definitely recommend Club Bali to others.
I have stayed for 6 nights and I really enjoyed our stay. The girl at the reception was so helpful every time!! We had a 1 bedroom apartment and was very clean and spacious.it is situated into jayakarta resort which gives you access to their pool and restaurant
Very helpful staff, great location, value for money and clean comfortable rooms. Will be staying again.
Hotel is old and needs a facelift. Some minor improvements would life the rating for sure but overall would happily stay again for the price!
Lovely helpful staff, clean rooms, close to everything.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms with everything we wanted.
When our flight was cancelled and there were phone issues, they really help with relaying information with Expedia. They also arranged rides for us as needed.
This accommodation is all about best price for central location. Straight off the beach. The accommodation is a great base if you're like us and only need the room to sleep in and shower. The kitchen facilities are a good bonus as well. It also has the advantage of being able to use the pools of the Jayakarta (even though its tough to get a pool side seat).
This was a great place to be if you like to stay in the hotel area with maybe small kids . The hotel is looked after well but is starting to date abit now . It has entrance to the beach and other enterance is good location to fooderires . Wifi was terrible but they said this was insulated and had technical problems .
Mostly we loved Club Bali (repeat customers). We know it's older, but could bit use shower in main bathroom without flooding the vanity & floor. Only about 10 jets of water came out. Has to use children's shower. As liquid soap is now provided, a facewasher would come in handy. Wi-fi terrible! Would only stay logged in for approximately 1 minute before you had to log back in again. This was while sitting within 1 meter of the modem. Hopefully these issues get fixed.
Disappointing. Suites older and in need of refurb. Noisy at night.
Older style but great location on the beach. Bed and pillows were ok. All Linen & towels looked old and discoloured and unclean. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Only one bathroom worked from day one when we got there. Toilet was cracked and flooding the bathroom with toilet water and shower tap broken over the shower spa and also flooded the bathroom when used so we couldn’t use. Sad thing was they said our apt was booked it straight after we left so next person checking in would have had that problem also. No offer of a discount for not getting what we paid for either. They Also questioned us about a missing glass from the kitchen which we had no idea what they were talking about as we didn’t take or break any glasses. They made me hand write a letter stating so. Even though good location, I wouldn’t stay there again.
the pools and location of this hotel are good as we like the beach
Lovely place to stay, room is clean, staff are helpful and friendly, and the pool area and grounds are beautiful. Thank you
Close to the beach, pretty good location for shops and a few markets. Our room was quite dark and aircon in the lounge area didnt work very well. Pool area was good and also breakfast. This hotel was just ok but i wouldnt stay again.
Very old and desperately in need of a full renovation. Some really nasty smells coming from the bathroom areas too.
Enjoyed our stay, room size awesome, clean, and comfortable
The staff here are absolutely wonderful and take good care of all your needs
We always enjoy staying at Club Bali. This was our second stay and we will be back again. The rooms are comfortable with all amenities required for a family. The local area is brilliant. So many dining options and close to beach. My only negative is that the rooms with connecting doors aren't very good at keeping sound out. We had another family next to us who were extremely loud and we could hear them til all hours of the morning. Also, wifi is quite poor. This was the same when we stayed 2 years ago and hasn't been improved. This needs to be rectified. It is 2018 after all!
Clean, functional and a good space for families. Staff very friendly and eager to please. Great value for money :)
Had a wonderful stay here. It older but clean. Family of 4 stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Walking to the beach directly accessed from property. Hotel is one of several on a large property. Close to restaurants and beach in Legian. Area is fun but not as crazy or full of too many drinks like Kuta. We left a hotel in Kuta to come stay here because the property was better, cheaper and with better access to beach. My cons would be that it is dated and the shower was cramped but these are small things. You get great value for a great price.
Older property but a fantastic deal. Great for families. Property directly on Legian beach. Very clean. Staff helpful. Will come again.
The family suites are looking a bit tired, but were very clean, roomy and comfortable. Definitely value for money in a very handy location close to beach, restaurant and shops.
This is our 3rd stay at this Hotel over 7 years (we have stayed elsewhere in Bali). Although the hotel is a little dated now, it is still a great place to stay. Great location, fabulous staff always cheerful and helpful, good room (we had 2 bedroom apartment) always clean and beds were comfortable. We had the buffet breakfast which was mostly plentiful with a cook standing by to cook eggs and omelettes anyway you like. Pool was inviting, although this time we didn't have the time. Security staff at the gate were always friendly, so we left them with a Bintang each night. All round it was a great stay, and if you need the 2 bed apartment I would highly recommend it for spaciousness and comfort.
The one bedroom suite was massive which was fabulous with children, the room had everything you could need. The swimming pools were very outdated and attracting quite a loud crowd it wasn't very relaxing. the music was on loud all the time with everybody crowding around the pool bar. there was barely any shade around the pool and the main shade was at the end with the noisy pool bar
Beverages very expensive at the pool and not worth drinking there. You can walk 10m across to the beach and get drinks for less than half price. Do not drink at Raymond's bar straight out the front of the jayakarta he is rude and arrogant to customers not drinking enough and taking up his seats. Highly recommend Casanova bar to the right, great people and very knowledgeable about the local area and really helpful.
We have stayed here many times. Bar prices very expensive.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite, this was great for my family with two kids. The room had everything we needed to be comfortable. It was a little walk to the pool but it was fine. Great location to lots of restaurants and little shops.
The hotel is getting old and tired. The plus side is they offer apartments for families. Don't expect any assistance from management. After having our flights cancelled by tigerair and having to re-book at the hotel for a second time after forfeiting our initial accommodation fees, the hotel did not even offer one complimentary breakfast. They were able to re-sell our room from the first booking, keep our accommodation paid on that room and then we paid again. After having been in direct contact with the general manager regarding our re-booking prior to arriving in Bali the hotel did not even have our booking upon arrival ! They finally found a room. Would recommend this hotel as long as you don't plan to spend alot of time within your room or the grounds.
Room was unsatisfactory - did get a new room on request. Staff helpful but a bit dodgy - demanded rupiah for late checkout and no receipt - given our room was not originally up to scratch (broken items and no hot water) I was not happy to pay for late checkout at all but didn't have a choice as our pickup was 6pm. Rooms need upgrade and Jayakarta facilities are looking old and dated.
We have 4 kids and struggled to find something big enough but this place was perfect. Awesome location, great kids pool, friendly staff, hard to fault given the price. We'd definitely go back.
Awesome, extremely polite staff, attentive to every need. For a "3.5" star hotel, they are better than alot of the 5 star hotels i have stayed in. Highly recommend staying here for a warm, friendly and relaxing family holiday.
We had a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 adults and 2 kids. The sofa bed was big enough for a 7 & 10 year old. Bit of a walk to the Jayakarta hotel pools but we didn't mind, may be a bit hard with little one's.
Staff were excellent. Location was central to markets, dining and right on the beach. Rooms were clean and spacious. Would be happy to stay again.
Needs a refurbishment. Close to the beach some good restaurants and shops. If you venture out for the day by car it is quicker to walk back to the resort than sit in a cab or car. Kitchen utensils very used and need replacing especially the wok and non stick pan. Overall a reasonable place but definately over priced for bali.
Good location, Good Staff & good for the price.............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Great location, fun pools with great kiosk food or restaurant. Nice cosy rooms for the whole family. 1 Bedroom was a great size for the 4 of us. I have a 5 and 4yo.
I stayed here with a friend, we had a 2 bedroom suite. Best thing we could have done! So much space! great having the 2 bathrooms too! On arrival we were greeted with beaming smiles (considering it was 2am), staff that were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their hotel and facilities. Their English was fantastic. The room was very well appointed and very clean ( no bed bugs!) Everything you could want/need was there!(not that we wanted to cook on holidays but you could if you wanted to...great idea for families with fussy eating kids) The lift worked and didn't make any scary sounds! The ability to use the Jayakarta Hotel pool and facilities are a great bonus. I would stay here again without hesitation, It's in a great location (Traffic at peak times is crazy) Right near the beach, heaps of shopping and restaurants....no need to eat at the Jayakarta! I would certainly stay here with my young family in a 2 or 3 bedroom suite....as the title of my review says, Great value for money!
Great experience would book here again, great location
My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom family suite, which was extremely comfortable. We had use of all the Jayakarta facilities. This was beachfront at a budget price, we read many reviews both positive and negative but are coming away very positive about our stay and will definitely stay again.Yes it is an older resort but has beautiful gardens and a traditional Bali feel. The location is perfect with many great eateries at your doorstep.
We had a wonderful time no problems. They are more than happy to help in any way.
Great staff, all really lovely and polite. Amenities were old and dated. The shower was like a dribble from a tap. The wifi basically stopped working (I had to change rooms). Still nothing. The lounge was as comfy as a timber box. Not a bad place for a family (maybe), but if you're young, go somewhere else.
Needs major overhaul of linen sometimes no clean towels available and sheets are old and stained. Jacuzzi only worked for 2 nights. Disgusting black slime in pipes must never have clean outs. Staff very nice and obliging.
Dark and Dingy rooms overlooking other rooms or an area where they seem to dump all their rubbish!. Only one person could fit on balcony it was that small!. I checked out after the second day even though I had paid upfront as it would have ruined my holiday!. Don't bother trying to get help from reception staff as they either pretend they don't speak English (didn't even understand the word "water") or they really didn't. Either way it was one of the worst places I have ever stayed in!!. I have been to Bali over 40 times and have never checked out and moved before!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ELSEWHERE!.
Television seemed to have a lot of trouble receiving a signal and it was staticky the rest of the time. My room unfortunatly had a shower head that was made for those smaller that 150cm. I also had a room that could be a joined to the neighbouring room and you could hear all of their conversations..
We loved the stay, the room was well suited to our needs with a small enough kitchen. Just enough room for the kids and us. The foxtel provided helped us keep the kids occupied inside.
14 nights in a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment, situated inside the Jayakarta Hotel complex and sharing all their facilities. Very comfortable, full kitchen, lounge and dining plenty of space to relax. Staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to many beautiful restaurants, shops and grocery shops. Right on the beach.
Pretty good hotel overall for families. Nothing flash but good pool areas, good location and good value for money.
