The Legend Chiang Rai Boutique River Resort & Spa

We had an amazing stay. Our room was huge with our own swimming pool and a shower with a hot tub. The room was in front of the river so we were surrounded by nature. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and the breakfast was great too (though can't say it had too many options). The location of the hotel is a bit out of the way but there were a couple of super local restaurants within walking distance that had amazing food at ridiculously cheap prices. Otherwise you would have to call grabs to get to the town center.

The best place we stayed. An exceptional setting by the river, very comfortable and charming lodges, excellent bedding – we slept very well – a large infinity pool. The lush green surroundings and the croaking of the frogs in the evening make it a truly memorable experience. Perfect service; the staff are friendly yet highly professional.

Dinner: the food was too spicy and the potatoes were undercooked. We didn’t really enjoyed the restaurant. The breakfast, on the other hand, was perfect.

Las habitaciones rústicas, amplias, limpias, cambio de ropa a diario y te hacen la habitación también a diario (en varios hoteles de Tailandia me extrañó que no fuera siempre así), muy buen desayuno, buen café. Baño en tres partes individuales y separadas, lavabo-vestidor, inodoro y una ducha amplisima. Restaurante italiano dentro del hotel con música suave en directo.

Precios del restaurante italiano, casi europeos. Mosquitos, que no nos permitieron disfrutar de la terracita individual de la habitación. Tener que dormir con aire acondicionado porque si no, te asas; no es cosa de este hotel, es general en toda Tailandia.

We loved everything about our stay - beautiful spacious and comfortable rooms, a welcoming atmosphere, wonderful food and staff, and such a warm welcome from staff that treated you as a friend.

L'estada ha sigut de 10. Tot l'hotel és increïble, cada racó és preciós i acollidor. L'habitació és una passada. L'estada se'ns ha fet massa curta, tornariem a repetir i recomanariem aquesta hotel a tothom!

Le lieu est fantastique, reposant, la piscine magnifique, la propreté irréprochable, la gentillesse du personnel, le petit déjeuner varié, bon et copieux, la salle de sport, la chambre familiale très spacieuse et confortable .. Bref nous avons passé un super séjour et pourtant la météo n'était pas avec nous...

Un très bel hôtel au bord de la rivière, beaucoup de charme, de nature, paisible. Les chambres sont spacieuses et joliment décorées. Le petit déjeuner était parfait. Proposition de visites guidées bien organisées. Proche du centre ville.

Ottimo resort, immerso nel verde, bella la piscina, ottima e abbondante colazione, servizio super, camere sono dei mini appartamenti con tutti i servizi. Niente da dire, da ritornare...

Non so se la Spa era aperta oppure no.. ma aveva bisogno di una sistemata.

My mother and I traveled to Panviman Resort Chiang Rai from Melbourne and Shanghai respectively to spend wonderful time together, and our stay exceeded all expectations. The staff here deliver thoughtful, warm and meticulous service. Learning that it was my mother’s birthday that month, they thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake as well as an exquisite towel craft decoration as a lovely surprise for us. We were absolutely delighted by such sweet arrangements and felt the warmth of home far away from our homeland. The resort manager is affable and dedicated. He personally showed us around the property and introduced its features in detail. Nestled within lush dense woodland, the resort boasts fresh air and a wonderful natural setting. The swimming pool hidden amid the forest features crystal-clear water with lovely reflections. Swimming fish and friendly, gentle cats add delightful touches to the soothing scenery. Every member of the team is attentive and amiable, with sincere care reflected in every small detail, which demonstrates the hotel’s excellent management standards. I am so glad that we picked this resort for our trip together. It has left us precious, unforgettable memories. Sincere gratitude goes to all staff for their wonderful hospitality. I highly recommend this resort to other travellers!

This is the third time we’ve been to The Legend. The location by the river is wonderful as is the breakfast and pool. The staff are all very good as is the manager Eric. Great value for money, we’ll be back I’m sure.

La piscine à débordement au milieu des arbres en bord de rivière est sublime. Le petit déjeuner est très complet, varié et de qualité. Le personnel est très professionnel et très sympathique et prévenance. La douche est gigantesque et propose une solution traditionnelle de douche thai très sympa. Les vélos gratuits pour aller se ballader

Un seul minuscule bémol : il y avait un bruit d'eau permanent près de notre chambre qui me faisait penser à chaque fois à la pluie... L'hôtel est excentré mais les grabs sont là en 5 mn.

Die ganze Hotelanlage ist ein Traum. Bei den Wegen durch die Anlage, egal ob zum Restaurant oder zum Pool, fühlt man sich in den Tropen. Es ist eine irre Geräuschkulisse wenn man die Vögel , Grillen und andere Tiere hört. Der Blick beim Frühstück auf den Fluss ist einfach unvergesslich schön.

Lovely big room with balcony. Separate toilet, dressing room with wash basin and huge separate shower room. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Beautiful lush setting on the river. So peaceful and relaxing.

The net curtains needed a wash. They smelt a bit musty.

A beautiful and peaceful hotel that gives you the feeling of being surrounded by nature. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view. The breakfast was varied and very good, served by the river, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The staff was lovely, very welcoming, and always happy to help. We truly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm hospitality.

Un tres bel hotel de charme calme sur les bords du fleuve. Chambres spacieuses et confortables et restaurant excellent avec une belle carte de vins. Un plus non negligeable pour les amateurs : de l'IPA artisanale a la pression, un luxe en Thailande!

Very quiet resort. Large accommodation unit with extra comfortable bed and great internal facilities. Infinity pool was well looked after and an ideal location for evening swims.

The location was excellent. situated by the river and a relatively short 20 minute walk into the town. The grounds are beautiful, well maintained with interesting trees and plants, filled with the sound of bird song accompanied in the evening by the croaking of the small toads. The staff were helpful and took pains to ensure we were allocated the quiet accommodation we had requested. The accommodation is simple and traditional in style, tasteful and comfortable. Breakfast is superb an extensive buffet with staff on hand to explain dishes which might be unfamiliar to guests. Coffee is decorated in a special and novel way by the artistic baristas, see photo Most of all, however, special mention must be made of the very professional manager Eric Hallin, who is obviously on top of everything and who every morning circulated the breakfast room getting to know the guests, offering helpful information and creating an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

The mosquitos were plentiful and annoying, however they are part of the environment. The washbasin was situated in the entrance to our room rather than within the bathroom which would have preferred but this is not uncommon in Thailand.

This place is definitely upscale and more pricey than I’m custom to paying for lodging. However, it was a special night for celebration, and I believe the value was very much there than well worth splurging and stretching our budget.

mosquitos. However, the hotel has preserved the nature so there are many animals to see....  There is no sitting area at least for 2 persons in the room. So one sit on the day bed and another sit on the working desk!

The property was beautiful. I love having the Riverview and that my room came with two balconies. The atmosphere was very soothing. And all the restaurants had great food quality and great prices.

Nous avons payé plus cher pour une chambre plus grande mais celle ci donnait sur une marre avec beaucoup de crapaud, bruyant toute la nuit, impossible de dormir, même avec des boules kies. Nous avons demandé une autre chambre pour notre deuxième nuit, nous avons eu une chambre plus petite avec un tarif plus bas mais aucun geste n'a été fait par l'hôtel... Nous avons pu correctement dormir la nuit suivante mais ce n' était pas une expérience correspondant à nos attentes. La chambre initiale était en plus assez vieillissante, et il y avait de nombreux poils ou cheveux sur le lit

Quiet and out of the way. Nice river location . We had 1 bed villa and it was enormous. Main pool is deep and refreshing. Food was excellent. Plus had a proper coffee machine so I got my caffeine fix.

Given the position, mosquitoes are inevitable & they will find their way into your room, however the mosquito net ensured a good night's sleep.

Secluded, quiet haven on the river. The rooms and villas are spacious and the view is great.The staff are excellent, the food good and the pool is deep and cool, which is refreshing after a day of 36 degree heat. Chiang Rai is noticeably less humid than Bangkok/Pattaya, etc. We had the one bedroom villa and it’s like a small house - so much room, and an outside setting just looking at the river.

The individual pools in the pool villas are over chlorinated and under filtered. Better to just use the main pool.

Beds were so comfy

Mosquito net over the bed, the balconies, the location is peaceful and beautiful. Left fresh water outside the room every day regardless of whether they made up the room.

Shower pressure was a little weak. The shower head holder was broken and wouldn't stay up.

Great place next to the river for our stay in Chiang Rai. Was amazing to see fireflies in the evening! Great location and easy to get around.

We booked a villa with private pool which made our stay very pleasant. It was very big and well equipped and the bed was lovely. The location was so beautiful, directly on the river. The hotel itself is a bit old and that shows but we did not mind at all. We loved the beautiful garden and the staff was very friendly.

Our private pool was not very clean

Hidden gem in Chiang Rai, a bit away from the city centre but easily reachable with a cheap taxi or with the bicycle that they are offering. Inside it really looks like a forest, many ponds with frogs and all kind of birds and, of course, an amazing view on the river. The staff was amazing, remembering us and asking genuine questions. It was a really nice atmosphere ❤️

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans ce magnifique hôtel, incroyablement beau, dépaysement garanti, beauté du lieu. Le personnel est adorable, nous avons été reçu comme des reines. Nous ne voulions plus repartir. Nous avions la villa double avec piscine. Elle est superbe, très bien équipée, très propre. Nous reviendrons l'année prochaine tellement nous avons apprécié. La visite de la petite minette chaque jour 😊 Le petit déjeuner avec vu sur la rivière.

Manque un petit torchon dans la cuisine. Malheureusement la piscine n'a pas été nettoyé des 4 jours. Les mêmes morceaux de bois y sont restés. Et beaucoup d'insectes s'y noyaient
