Beautiful estate - stunning driveway entrance. Staff friendly. Hotel very large so a little impersonal but nonetheless very comfortable with all that you could need.

The food offering was not great: dried out vegetable for breakfast, tasteless and hard scrambled egg, coffee with a scum on top. Dinner in the bar downstairs was not great; food gras & toast in particular.

The setting, accommodation and atmosphere were excellent.

The food, in particular at Breakfast and from the Bar downstairs were not good The coffee was lacking, arriving in some cases with a scum on top. The vegetables, such as cucumber were dry, and the scrambled eggs were hard and tasteless. Some (not all) of the staff at breakfast did their job, however they did not smile or engage.

I have stayed in this wonderful hotel often. We had a beautiful big room overlooking the gardens and mountains.

Only disappointment was the Thermal suite . We were so looking forward to it and had not been made aware that it was under renovation. We still had our swim and temporary sauna ,but was sad about the rest .😕

Nothing not to like

So I loved Powerscourt, I have never been before but will hopefully be back! The spa was lovely, the grounds were lovely to walk around in also. A lovely overnight with my sister.

Saying that, there were a few things I felt needed improvement. So I had lunch and asked could I charge this to my room, they said absolutely, signed for the lunch with my room number left a nice tip etc. Then I got a call to say that I had not paid for my lunch and can I come back down to do so. I was very frustrated by this as not sure why it could not be charged to my room as agreed and signed for. I then had a massage, which was fabulous. I was asked if I wanted to charge this to my room and I said great that would be convenient. I then got a call a few hours later while at dinner to ask me to pay for my massage. I had missed the call and voicemail so on check out I told reception this was outstanding and fixed up this bill upon check out. I then got another call from staff later that day, I am now home and have paid all bills....asking me to come down and pay for my outstanding massage! I told them that I already paid for this at reception upon check out and the girl was surprised and asked was I gone? She said she had no record of this which was again frustrating as I had to rummage through the bill to ensure it was paid, which it was. I just feel all of this was unnecessary. It's so common to charge food and treatments to your room, I was asked if I would like to do this and agreed and then had to receive calls on it despite all this. This could definitely have been handled better I feel. Saying that I had a great time.

We had a great stay! The staff proactively noticed our booking error and offered us a king bed. The room was quiet with a lovely park view and a big bathroom (double sinks and separate tub and shower). We really enjoyed the covered balcony and the free bicycles provided to explore the estate. Dinner was fantastic. The beef filet was amazing and Emily provided excellent service.

The indoor pool is a bit dark due to the black stone design, though still very nice.

One of my favourite hotels close to Dublin. Decor, service, amazing rooms, great views make this place a special go-to destination for any celebrations - big or small!!!

We were celebrating our 40 Wedding Anniversary. The Hotel was wonderful from the Moment we arrived. The warm welcome and assistance we got was greatly appreciated . The room was beautiful spacious , clean and what a beautiful view. The weather was lovely and what a bonus to be able to sit out on balcony and enjoy the beautiful gardens and amazing view. The staff were excellent The food was delicious Stayed three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Hoping to return one day. Highly recommend a visit. O

Outstanding hotel, phenomenal hospitality from the moment of arrival through to departing (Fiona on reception went above and beyond meeting all our needs).Food was Michelin star quality,amazing value for money. Outdoor aesthetics were incredible and a pleasure to experience during our stay. Pool was world class ,felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated after our stay,highly recommend :)

We had an amazing stay and a lovely dinner in Sally Gap. It was very child friendly, food was absolutely exquisite and our waitor Jack went above and beyond. He was so attentive, helpful and kind to the children, really made the meal extra enjoyable.

The surroundings are absolutely superb; it’s only about a 20-minute drive from Wicklow National Park, and the hotel itself feels like a corner of a national park. At first sight, the Garden didn’t seem particularly impressive—but when walked in and venture deeper into the woods, you will be impressed . The golf course itself isn’t exactly top-tier, but the natural surroundings are superb—particularly a tree-lined avenue that’s even better than the ‘Game of Thrones’ road in Northern Ireland. The rooms were also quite nice and very clean. Although Sika Restaurant only has a rating of around 4 on Google, I actually think it deserves 4.8 (I’m referring to dinner). BTW, we met a Japanese young man working there (in the restaurant) who was really lovely. His Chinese language is so fluent that, had he not told us he is Japanese, we would never have guessed he’d learnt it at school. I suspect people from Dublin all come here to spend their weekends.

We recently stayed at Powerscourt and it was a most delicious week! The huge property is just stunning including the gardens. A gentleman named MARIO checked us in upon our EARLY morning arrival after a long flight from NJ, and was beyond helpful and accommodating. I was with limited mobility from a temporary injury and needed some special considerations. Mario was so very patient and showed us several rooms and suites that we could move right into (even that early in the morning). We finally settled on a lovely, large suite, but it didn't have the best view. As we were napping to get a leg up on jet lag, we got a call that he had found us an even better suite as Titanium for Life Marriott Rewards members. The suite was just amazing with a huge balcony and beautiful view out the back of the hotel. It was just PERFECT! We were supposed to stay for 4 nights and were able to extend it to 7. Mario assisted us all throughout our stay and was just delightful. You will NOT be disappointed in this resort! We would love to return! Thank you to all the staff and especially to MARIO.

Stayed for 5 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday at the end of July 2026. Have stayed here on multiple occasions before with no issues but this stay was very different. Bathwater ran brown, was told that this was due to them having their own water supply and it happens. Coffee machine in our room would not work, was replaced after they checked it was not user error. Door key stopped working the day before we checked out which necessitated a trek to the front desk to be told it was probably a security issue. Room not serviced on the 2nd day and when we requested it be serviced no towels replaced, nothing done with cups, glasses etc and the bed covering just thrown on the bed but not made up. A second request got the cups and glasses changed. Room not serviced on the 3rd day and reception not answering the phone so a trek to reception and was told that it would be some time between 9am and 5pm. When I mentioned that two personnel servicing the rooms had already passed our room i was told that our room may not be on their schedule. Room eventually serviced later that day, however obviously not vacuumed. Materess topper on the bed was lumpy. Mentioned to reception but nothing done. On one morning my partner was feeling unwell and did not join me for breakfast, when I mentioned she was unwell to the gentleman at the breakfast room desk he immediately offered to send up something to which I requested tea and toast. This was eventually delivered 90 minutes later without milk or sugar and for a fee of €10 despite breakfast already being paid for. The person delivering also insisted on payment rather than allowing the charge go to the room, there had been no issue putting a separate room service charge on our room. Had a discussion with a manager the evening before we checked out and was told she would email me, still waiting for that email 3 days later. This stay was so different to previous stays that we thought the hotel must be under new management, it is not so no idea how it has gotten so bad.

Enjoyed our stay to a point. We were upgraded to suites which were very comfortable. No kettles though in the rooms, only a coffee maker which we tried making tea without success, it just tasted horrible. We seemed to be constantly getting lost enroute to the restaurant/bar or reception. Perhaps some more signage on the bedroom floors to guide guests around would be considered. We had food in the bar restaurant but the menu was limited esp for a vegetarian. Buffet breakfast was hectic with everyone seemingly arriving around the same time. I waited about 10 mins for fried eggs to be refilled, and it took an age to make your toast, only to discover I was at the gluten free section. By the time I sat back to have breakfast my tea was cold. Some options were available to order from a menu at the table. Overall breakfast wasn't as enjoyable as it should have been. It was somewhat disjointed. Not so sure about a return visit, it all felt a bit commercial.

Gregory is a wonderfully helpful and friendly worker in the Sally Gap and made sure we were always taken care of.

Gregory was an absolute legend . He’s friendly, approachable, and always willing to lend a hand when someone needs it. He works hard, treats everyone with respect, and keeps a positive attitude even on busy days. Gregory’s reliability and kindness make him not only a great colleague but also someone who helps create a better atmosphere for everyone around him. Couldn’t recommend Gregory anymore.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay In the Powerscourt Hotel. Everything from start to finish made it the perfect stay for our family trip. The location is beautiful and the views of the Sugar Loaf are stunning. We had a warm welcome on arrival and were delighted to be allocated two beautiful suites. The decor was fabulous. We had a drink in the sugar loaf lounge on arrival, followed by lunch in the Sally Gap and an evening dinner in Sika. The food and service in all restaurants was outstanding. The meal in Sika was remarkable. We enjoyed the views of the Sugar Loaf at all of our meals - particularly at breakfast. The terrace is beautiful to enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the fine weather. We also availed of a treatment in the spa and it was excellent. We’d highly recommend Powerscourt Hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area or anyone seeking a very special treat!

Kawser and Max and Adam are fabulous bar men. The best. They make beautiful cocktails. Will be back for sure.

We recently stayed in Powerscourt with family and had a truly wonderful stay. The staff were amazing but one staff member stood out in particular, Sarah Louise (Nolan). She was super friendly and exceptional at her job, nothing was ever a problem and she deserves to be recognised for this. Coming from the United States for my son & daughter-in-laws wedding at Powerscourt was everything we could hope for. The staff was amazing and so helpful. Everything about Powerscourt from our amazing hotel room, restaurants, the beautiful grounds was top notch. If we are lucky enough to return to Ireland we will definitely be back at Powerscourt!

We had a magical stay at Powerscourt Hotel & Spa from check-in to check-out, with exceptional service and attention to detail throughout. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Powerscourt earlier this year and had such a memorable experience that my husband booked another stay for my birthday this month. We were greeted with such warmth on arrival and experienced the true meaning of hospitality from every member of staff we encountered throughout this stay. Relaxed walks around the hotel gardens and larger Estate coupled with dinner at Sika Restaurant made for a wonderful birthday. Our suite was everything we wanted and more, including a balcony overlooking an incredible view of the mountains, with space to sit out and take in some of the stunning summer weather. I didn’t think it would be possible to top our last visit, but the team at Powerscourt truly went above and beyond on this occasion, and we definitely be returning.

I dined at the Sally Gap restaurant & bar this evening. It was a great experience. I ordered the Wagyu beef burger and it was amazing. Very tender and juicy. Highly recommend. The service in this restaurant is also very good. The staff is attentive and friendly. Gregory was my server this evening and he was professional, friendly and efficient. I enjoyed my interaction with him. Wonderful experience and beautiful hotel.

A very nice hotel with plush rooms and very good facilities. Ideally located for visiting the Powerscourt gardens, distillery etc as they are within walking distance of the hotel. As you’d expect, service is excellent – all the staff we met were very friendly and keen to help. Our evening meal in the Sally Gap restaurant and breakfast were also very good – excellent quality & very enjoyable. We would certainly use again if visiting Wicklow in the future.

We had an incredible stay at Powerscourt Hotel & Spa from check-in to check-out, with exceptional service throughout. As we were celebrating my partner’s birthday, it was a lovely touch that the team acknowledged it with a warm greeting at check-in, a birthday card and treat in our room, and special attention during our dinner in the Sika Restaurant. The food at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. A special mention to John the doorman, who is a true gentleman and such a welcoming face on arrival. We’d also like to thank Miriam, the Head Gardener, who kindly took the time to show us around the stunning gardens and share the incredible work she and her team do. Our suite was absolutely amazing, with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. The hotel itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and there was so much to do that we never needed to leave the estate. We loved using the complimentary bikes to explore the river walk, visiting the distillery and the magnificent house gardens, and making the most of everything the estate has to offer. I genuinely couldn’t fault our stay. It exceeded all expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa to attend a wedding, and we decided to treat ourselves by booking a room in the hotel. We are so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, the service was exemplary. Every single member of staff we encountered—from the welcoming doormen and efficient reception team to the delightful waiters—went above and beyond to make us feel looked after. The room itself was fantastic. It is easily the nicest hotel room either of us has ever stayed in—immaculately styled, exceptionally comfortable, and offering a true sense of luxury. We also thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing drink at the bar before heading over to the wedding celebrations. Everything about our stay was amazing. Thank you to the Powerscourt Hotel team for providing such a memorable experience. We cannot wait to return for a longer getaway in the future! My only regret was I was too hungover to sample the breakfast

The whole setting of the place on a 3 beautiful summer days.

I liked the location and the grounds. I thought the rooms were very nice and the dining options were good. The staff were very attentive.

We were at an event that had a special rate including breakfast but we had booked before this was announced. Despite paying a lot more for the room than all other attendees they refused to give us breakfast vouchers . Expensive hotel, nice room but very stingy managers.
