A very beautiful hotel, with modern renovations in the rooms. Clean, cozy, and quiet. The parking lot is beautifully graffitied.

The hotel parking lot is very small and extremely inconvenient for a large car. Only two small floors are designated for hotel parking, but they're often full, and the spaces that are available are extremely tight. You can't even turn around properly or move to another floor. Small cars are comfortable there, but a 5x2m car is very, very tight; it's best to find another parking spot.

Great hotel, great breakfast, great location

We came for just one night in the charming city and in the special hotel located close to every attraction in the city. The staff was wonderful. The room was wonderful even though it faced the ugly backyard. The linens are clean, the towels are large and pleasant, the bed is large and wide and super comfortable. The breakfast is excellent.

Location within 20 minutes of all the main sights and central train station. Massive bedrooms with all the amenities you can think of. Good breakfast and bar, even if the opening hours are inconsistent.

Some staff members weren't particularly welcoming (mainly in the breakfast and bar areas). Very complicated and lengthy laundry process.

Es un buen hotel... pero de CUATRO estrellas. Faltan los servicios y dedicación de un cinco estrellas. El desayuno, normal (no hay carta para pedir, increible en un 5 estrellas). Se nota falta de personal. Aunque los que están (2 personas, con el hotel lleno), hacen lo que pueden. En conclusión, sobra la quinta estrella, o faltan los servicios propios de ella. Pero para el precio..., si que está la quinta estrella.

Voor een 5 ster hotel verwacht je toch wel meer (voor die prijs), het plafond in de douche stond vol schimmel, de tv kon niet streamen, veel lawaai tijden ontbijt. Kamer kon ruimer.

Lovely property and comfortable room. Breakfast was good - but when busy they can forget about you (ordered an omelette and had to wait 20 mins, before they realised they had forgotten it). Good location to stroll around the city.

but a little tired, needs attention to detail - finishing around the bathroom was a bit poor. The door to the bathroom did not fit properly and we felt that the moveable screen between the bathroom and bedroom was pointless.

We had a lovely large room and bathroom - very quiet and comfortable with excellent A/C. Staff at reception were very welcoming. We liked the fact that the hotel had dedicated parking facilities beneath the hotel as, although the cost was quite expensive, we felt that our hire car was secure. When we arrived, we were worried that the hotel was a long walk from the centre, but it was only ten minutes to the main sights in the old city. There was also a street with several bars and restaurants just three or four minutes walk from the hotel, so a great location.

Of all the stays we had while in Spain (and there were a lot), we would have liked to extend our stay at this hotel more than any other. It started with the staff, particularly Nacho and Oliver - just can't say enough about these two gentlemen going above and beyond. Our room was spectacular, the room service was perfect, the bar was wonderful, location can't be beat. We would absolutely love to find ourselves staying here again!

Hotel moderno all'interno di una struttura antica, abbastanza vicino al centro storico. Personale gentile e collegamento diretto al parcheggio a pagamento. Ottima colazione a 18 euro.

Forse solo la poca privacy nella particolare struttura del bagno di design. E tutte le piante di plastica.

Shame we didn’t get a double bed but 2 singles even though requested. Didn’t provide 3 cups/ glasses in a room for 3 but staff quick to find more

This hotel is in an excellent location with a lovely lobby and pleasing exterior. Highlights: location and walkability to all of Oviedo. Steps from San Francisco park. Low points: our room had mildew in the shower which would be pretty simple to fix with a scrub or new shower molding. The king bed had an obvious sag and hump in the center. When you rolled next to your partner it was very pronounced. They should replace or flip mattress. Finally, on 2 out of our 3 nights the ac stopped working and the staff blamed us for somehow changing the settings. This was simply wrong and they claimed it was working when it wasn’t. The most frustrating part wasn’t really the temperature, it was blaming us and the gaslighting. However, after the first night they did give us some cookies and water and comped our breakfast. Not sure why they did that if it was our fault. This hotel is maybe 3 stars. I would avoid as it seems it is managed poorly.

The parking beneath the building is quite tight. If you are trying to leave, and someone is coming in, one of you has to back up.

Stayed 2 nights in this lovely modern hotel in central location in Ovedio. Extra large and very comfortable bedrooms & bathrooms. Very good bar and restaurant. Only minutes walk from city centre, and old town. Fabulous park/gardens nearby. Nice friendly staff.

'original', I would call it a modern boutique hotel. just a house in a street, with a nice classic Asturian facade, but inside modern and with art designed. Clean, spacy, excellent bath room, nice shopping street.

It was not the hotel with the spectacular garden and entrance, like some of the hotels have, but a city hotel you might miss passing by

Отель уставший и простой, в целом в нем есть только бар с рестораном и все. Мебель и ремонт ждут реновации, это конечно не 5 звезд. Завтрак плохой для отеля заявленного уровня, небольшой выбор и выглядит все не привлекательно, во многих отелях 4 звезды гораздо лучше, здесь даже кофе льется какао какое-то. Ну и нет никаких доп услуг, ни фитнес клуба, ни спа, ничего. В общем при низкой цене нормальный вариант переночевать.

El desayuno, con amplia variedad, aunque las maquinas de cafe fallaban constantemente.

La limpieza bastante deficiente y el cambio de toallas no se realiza a diario. Se trata supuestamente de un hotel de cinco estrellas donde este servicio deberia de incluirse a diario, al margen de los dias de estancia. Incluso una de las toallas se dejo en el suelo y volvieron a colgarla humeda. La limpieza muy deficiente. En definitiva, el estandar del hotel no se corresponde con las 5 estrellas ni de lejos. Se trata mas bien de un hotel de 2/3 estrellas, pero nunca de 5 estrellas.

The hotel was perfectly adequate, but overall it felt rather average and not particularly memorable.

Our room had sloping attic windows, which reduced both the sense of space and the view. While everything was functional and reasonably comfortable, there was nothing that stood out positively or made the stay feel special.

What I love most about the Barceló Hotel is its privileged location. It is close to everything and within walking distance of major points of interest. It is a wonderfully sophisticated place, perfectly suited for both business and pleasure. Additionally, the staff truly makes a difference during the stay—they are honestly the absolute best.
