Lovely common areas and leisure centre
Expensive room rate to not include breakfast
The hotel was great, lovely location, everything you'd need!
There was nothing to dislike
Friendly, well trained staff.
Hotel is very friendly great for the kids
Excellent centre for touring Clare. Access to Dromoland Castle grounds was a great addition.
Rooms were dated at best and were lacking basic maintenance
The food was lovely , gastro pub
Noise levels in the halls , flooring needs to be changed for noise levels. Room doors bang , need to be on slow release. Colouring crayons for kids , in gastro pub. Astro to be put on the crazy golf ⛳️ Gym.and pool facilities were good, pool could be a bit warmer. WiFi quality was very poor.
It was great for the kids but old fashioned in parts. Food in shannigans pub was great and the breakfast was well stocked.
The pool was freezing, the steam room smelled of feet. Only swam the first night we arrived didn’t bother after that. Behind the TV was full of dust which struck my allergies. When we first arrived our room smelled of smoke but I will say they moved us straight away. For the price you’re paying for the original room we had wasn’t great for what we got not to mind the smoke smell.
Well equipped bathroom, good activities to keep the children occupied before bed and a very good location to stay before your flight from Shannon Airport, which is only 10-15 minutes of hassle-free driving.
Hotel is well maintained and the suff is kind and helpful. The room, a 3 bed was large and had everything we needed. Bathroom with shower, looked very clean. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel is located near a Golf corse and has plenty of nature around to be explored. The pool is great, pleasant water temperature. A bonus was the Gastro Pub with delicious food and atmosphere.

Ottimo hotel per famiglie, disponibile parco giochi e piscina. Ottima colazione
Staff. Pool and kids area. Food in shenanigans was very good.
Room was dusty. Wife had to take ventelin
It was clean
To large with no ways to enter or exit other then the front entrance. Doors all slammed very loudly when coming in and out of the rooms. Staff we slightly rude not very welcoming to the average person coming to stay.
Staff. Relaxed atmosphere Jacuzzi/Sauna/Steam
Some areas like need a little TLC
Loved the property!
We had two rooms, 332 and 132. I had reached out in advance bc my wife is battling breast cancer. My request for a nearby room was honored- she has very low stamina but! She also has asthma and used her rescue inhaler 7x! That’s too much if you don’t know it. We were told that the hotel was sold out and we could have swapped with our kids but there was no way she could do the almost 1 mile walk. Very disappointing and frustrating. Our room smelled so much like cigarette smoke. Very disappointed.
Staff were fantastic and couldn't be more helpful. Food was great too.
Staff were so lovely. Pool and facilities were lovely
Nothing
The bar food was lovely. Good portion size and a decent price.
Doors in corridors loudly bagging closed after 11pm. Not great when your in bed before 10pm.
The wifi was spotty at best
Could have been shower caps, body cream in room or even water.
Not a great menu in the bar. I wouldn't call it a gastro pub menu, no steak, not even a steak sandwich on the menu! Bangers and mash on the menu, I wouldn't even eat that at home!
Excellent customer service and great experience. The rooms are very clean and the bedding very comfortable. I would highly recommend to others
We had a fantastic stay in the hotel. Staff were so friendly. The bar had a lovely outdoor area ,which was great as the weather was amazing. Food was tasty at the bar. Live music every night we were therr.breakfast was perfect, good choices of foods.miseed having a choice of continental breakfast. But thats just a personal thing. Activities for kids was great. Pool area was excellent especially the spa area. Rooms were spotless. Close to motorway . Highly recommend going to this hotel. Thank you for a great experience
Beautiful hotel cosy beds love the bar food fabulous the breakfast buffet is to die for all you can eat swimming pool is great steam room excellent jacuzzi tub is the greatest experience spend a whole hour relaxing in it give this hotel 10 out of 10
Fantastic for kids
Very stuffy room and no aircon.
The food was lovely but the service was very poor. The food took a long time to come and it took a good while for the tables to be cleared. It’s a pity since the food is so nice and the atmosphere is lovely.
Dreadful, stuffy rooms and worst meal I have ever had. Cheap processed and cold main course and desserts are truely awful.
Being asked to use a QR code to order food is ridiculous, also food is expensive, If I’m going to pay €21.50 for a burger I want to order from a person not my phone. Won’t be back for this reason
Lage okay
Wir hatten ein feuchtes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Parkplatz in der letzten Ecke des Hotels. Der Pool war nicht sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück war leider auch eher bescheiden.
We recently stayed at the hotel and unfortunately, there were a few things that let the experience down. The swimming pool was absolutely freezing. My daughter normally loves swimming, but after using it once, she didn’t want to go back the following day because of how cold it was, which was really disappointing. The rooms are also quite outdated and could definitely do with some modernisation and a refresh. We found the breakfast disappointing as well. There wasn’t a huge amount of choice and overall, we just didn’t feel it was up to the standard we expected. Dinner, however, was much better and we really enjoyed it. On a positive note, the kids’ club was lovely and my daughter really enjoyed it, which was definitely a highlight of the stay. Overall, there were some positives, particularly the kids’ club and dinner, but the freezing swimming pool, dated rooms and disappointing breakfast took away from the overall experience.
La camera era pulitissima e molto confortevole. Il posto è tranquillissimo

Nice hotel
Everything was perfect and staff were amazing.
Our family room could be a bit more clean but once we pointed out. Staff straight away cleaned everything and did a whole clean of the room even though it wasn't needed but it was great to see that they would.
This is our third stay at the rine and the hotel overall is a lovely place for families to stay. So much for the kids to do with indoor and outdoor playarea, crazy golf, tennis court, a walk around the grounds of Dromoland castle and a swimming pool. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed all the hotel had to offer. They have recently refurbished some areas of the hotel and the decor is lovely. The food as always is very good. Breakfast had a good variety and it is run very well. We were disappointed that there was only a full dinner menu on in the bar for both day and night. No light bite options for lunch as it was the weekend. Another downside to our stay is the new qr code in the bar. The code is meant to allow you to view the menu and pay for your food online. A horrible experience. I spent most of our trip up and down to the bar the service was terrible despite the waitress/waiter saying they would take our order if it didn’t work or we didn’t want to use it. I did complain to management on our first day and he handled my complaint very well. He looked after us and said we would be taken care of for our meal that evening and we were. Our waiter Lee was exceptional. However on the following day for lunch and evening for dinner we were left with the terrible service again. It was uncomfortable dining as all the other tables close by were upset by the service too. Needs to be improved. I did voice my concerns to management again and we were offered a discount but unfortunately it really didn’t make up for the bad experience. I made a booking earlier in the year for a 4th visit in the future but I’m not sure we will return based on this trip especially if the service remains so poor. If you are thinking of booking the hotel is good value for money and there is plenty to do as a family. The service for dining is the main area that needs improving.
Hôtel très bien situé, espaces communs spacieux et très jolis. Chambre spacieuse pour 3 personnes. Personnel très agréable Grand parking gratuit
Location was great
Carpets were old worn and stained
We had a fantastic stay at the Rine Hotel. Although we had a problem when we first arrived because our room was an adjoining room, which wasn't suitable for our autistic son as he is a flight risk, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. A huge thank you to Emma on reception and Sameh, the assistant manager. They were both incredibly understanding, kind, and professional. They went above and beyond to find us a different room, which made all the difference to our stay. Their excellent customer service turned what could have been a stressful situation into a very positive experience. The food was also outstanding—every meal was delicious and of a really high standard. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would happily recommend the Rine Hotel. Thanks again to Emma, Sameh, and the whole team for making us feel so welcome.
Very disappointed with the bar having to scan a barcode to order and pay … I declined and asked if they could take our order which they did. This is lazy hospitality in my opinion … no interaction with staff no offer of a drink when you are seated … a very sterile and unwelcoming experience. Customers will be asked to collect their food next from the kitchen! I’m sure it’s part of cost cutting measures … fewer staff required I’m sure … and this hotel is associated with Dromoland Castle … we won’t return and wished we had gone to the golf club restaurant at Dromoland Castle. Hugely disappointed.
We have just returned from a stay at the Rine Hotel. It was originally a three-night stay, but we enjoyed it so much that we decided to stay an extra night. We had a fantastic time. The hotel was excellent, the staff were all so friendly and welcoming, and the food was very good. The leisure centre was also excellent, and we really enjoyed using the facilities during our stay. There were just a couple of minor issues. On our first day, we went to Shenanigans Bar for lunch and asked for a plain ham sandwich, but the waitress said the kitchen couldn’t provide one. On another evening, we wanted to order a Margherita pizza but were told that wasn’t possible either, even though we know it’s something they usually serve. We also visited the Little Rines Kids’ Club. The children enjoyed it, but we felt it was a little unfair to have to pay €10 per child, especially as there were already staff there and we felt this should perhaps be included as part of the hotel stay. One other suggestion would be regarding the outdoor playground. It seems to be a bit of a blind spot for drivers, so perhaps a couple of “Slow Down” signs could be added to improve safety. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the Rine Hotel. The friendly staff, great food, excellent facilities, and convenient location made for a very enjoyable break.
My husband and I are regularly visitors to Shannigans restaurant in the Rhine/the inn at Dromoland. However we were very disappointed when we visited today to see that we had to scan a barcode which is glued to the table to order our meal, we had to pay on line and submit the order. All while sitting at our table in the restaurant. No interaction with staff. This was particularly disappointing because the last time I was there I had a reaction to a sauce I had on my meal. The ingredient I reacted to is not listed on the allergy list on the menu. This action by the managers cuts out the opportunity to ask questions about the food you want to order and in my opinion it is not safe. This is not cool and definitely puts me off eating there again.
Great location for Drummond castle and a comfortable clean room
Stayed 2 nights. Disappointing room compared to picture on website. Dull, bland and basic. Definitely not 4 star. Only toiletries where shower gel and soap. Toilet paper was the cheapest quality I've ever come across in a hotel. Bathroom tiny n floor flooded so bath towel had to be left on floor. No fridge in room. Ate in the Bar both nights. Food was fine. Decor overall in hotel needs updating. Wouldn't be rushing back to stay here. It's definitely a 3 star hotel but Is 4 because it has a leisure Centre.
We went for a family meal. It was not great, I was quite disappointed and it was not cheap, the service was disappointing. Bunches for kids as staff, orders forgotten. the table was shoved in a dark corner and I asked to be moved as there was plenty of space but was told there was no other table space big enough. The supervisor served us cans of Guinness 0.0 without pouring into glasses. Dessert orders forgotten.
Great family hotel. Rooms are lovely. Great location. Plenty of parking. Loads to keep kids occupied. The Little Riners, playground, fabulous walks and the pool. Staff are lovely and friendly. A special mention to Adam in the Gastro Bar, who was very friendly and helpful. My 2nd visit to the hotel and already looking forward to the next one.
Staff were very friendly and helpfull.food was excellent.
Beds could have been more comfortable
Myself and my husband were at a wedding in the Rine Hotel, everything was perfect from start to finish. The room was lovely, I asked if there was air conditioning the week prior to our stay and I was informed there wasn't but that they would leave a fan in the room for us, which they did. At the wedding meal we were served on our table by one of the best servers we have seen, Luke D was his name, he was professional but chatty, and nothing was too much trouble, well done on his training as he was fantastic. We went to the bar for a drink and met another exceptional member of staff, Kacie (not sure of her spelling), it was on Friday, 17th July and she was fantastic aswell. Of course Sammy the Manager was so professional but once again spoke with guests making sure all was good. Thanks for a superb day, an exceptional meal and a great stay. Mairead and Pat
The lobby had just been renovated, but the rooms were nasty. The attached pictures show spots on the furniture and holes in the carpet.
Super hôtel, confortable et avec de nombreux équipements. Personnel sympathique.
Il faisait très chaud dans la chambre et la fenêtre s’ouvrait à peine.
My kids loved being able to use the pool!
This was our first time staying at the Rine, and it definitely won't be our last! We have three young children, and they absolutely loved it—so much so that we've already booked to come back for Halloween weekend. From the moment we arrived, everything got off to a great start. We came early just to park up, relax, and let the kids enjoy the play areas, but to our surprise our room was already ready, which was a lovely bonus. The location is excellent, just off the motorway, making it very easy to get to. There was such a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel, and for a family of five with breakfast included, we felt it offered fantastic value for money. The hotel was spotlessly clean, and despite being so family-friendly, the noise levels were just right. The service was excellent throughout our stay. A special mention has to go to the staff in the soft play area. It was incredibly busy on both days, but they were friendly, helpful, and managed everything so well. They really deserve recognition. The swimming pool was lovely, and I especially enjoyed the plunge pool, which was a unique touch. The beer on tap was also excellent—something that's often hit and miss in hotels. If I had one small criticism, it would be that the adult meals in the bar were a little overpriced for what they were. The food was nice enough but fairly average. That said, it certainly didn't take away from our overall experience. On the other hand, the children's meals were fantastic value and very well received. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and something for everyone. Overall, we had a fantastic family break and can't wait to return for Halloween weekend. We'd happily recommend the Rine to other families looking for a relaxing, child-friendly getaway.
The location was great. Shenanigans was fantastic. Beautiful area
Room air conditioners. Also heard every door closing.
Instalaciones bonitas
Las vistas daban a los contenedores
Lovely grounds, very clean, nice pool and leisure center. Breakfast was fine. It is a good place if u have toddlers or young children
The singing in the bar. We went to watch the world cup and the bar offered a great food and drink deal for match evenings. Then a singer came in and set up under the only TV 😒 we went back to our room to see the Spain match
Great location Stunning hotel Lots for kids Staff where excellent extremely helpful and friendly Will definitely be back
From check in to check out everything was excellent. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. Room clean and spacious. Lovely bathroom with toiletries. Excellent facilities for all the family. Travelled with a 2 1/2 year old and excellent facilities for her, great indoor play area and outside play as well. We ate in the restaurant and made to feel very welcome and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again and even though we had 1 night before flying home from Shannon airport, the hotel was in a great spot to explore further afield. Thanks for a great stay
Lovely hotel. Great scenery, ideal location. Freat amenities. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Enjoyed breakfasts, good selection. Lovely dining room. Evening meal also enjoyable. Would recommend for a relaxing break.
I liked the proximity to Dromoland Castle, the onsite pub, the breakfast and the friendly and helpful staff. And the ability to explore the walking paths and the castle grounds.
It is showing a little wear and tear in the rooms.
Good vibes
I had a two night stay in The Rine recently. This hotel is set in a lovely location. The bedroom was large and clean. From start to finish it was such a pleasurable experience. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. From the reception, leisure centre, the bar and the restaurant, where we had some great conversations with Rizat and some of his staff. We so enjoyed our time here..we will be back. Thank you all at the Rine.
My friend and I lunched at The Rine today and had a wonderful experience. Our waiter could not have been more attentive and when a change in preparation was requested for a fish dish the waiter checked and the chef responded that he could do it however we wanted. The food was delicious the service amazing and the scenery in the area is breathtaking. It is very close to Drummond Castle so anyone who is staying there who wants to get off property this would be a lovely side stop!!
We have attended events at this hotel before and had always wanted to stay overnight, so we booked a stay to celebrate my partner's birthday. On arrival, we couldn't find the lift, but we didn't mind using the stairs. Our room was spacious, although the décor was a little bland. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with a lovely shower. It would also be a nice addition to have an iron and ironing board in the room, as it would save guests from having to leave the room to access these facilities. A lovely touch was the birthday card and chocolate bar waiting in our room on arrival. It was a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated, making my partner's birthday feel extra special. The restaurant, however, was quite plain, and a few things stood out. There was a large table in the middle of the room displaying wine bottles, which I felt could be inconsiderate for guests who are in recovery or choosing to avoid alcohol. We ordered drinks, but our wine glasses were never cleared from the table, so we had to keep moving them ourselves. Our dinner was included in the package, but the set menu offered very limited choices. Charging an additional €20 supplement for the steak (€40 in total) felt quite expensive, particularly given current costs. The music also didn't suit the atmosphere and was played far too loudly. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, although there were a few service issues. On several occasions, the wrong meals were brought to tables, and our cutlery wasn't replaced after it had been cleared. Breakfast was the highlight of our stay. It was delicious, very well organised, and the staff were attentive, clearing tables promptly whenever plates were empty. Overall, we enjoyed aspects of our stay, particularly the comfortable room, excellent shower, and breakfast. However, there are a few areas, particularly in the restaurant experience, that could be improved
Great hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are really helpful. We were going to a concert in Limerick and one of the staff members on reception gave us tips on where to park. The bar has a nice menu and excellent food.
We wanted to go for a swim the next morning but the pool was absolutely packed with teenagers jumping into the pool. It was chaotic!
Clean nice grounds and staff lovely wide corridors for partner in wheelchair
Has what it calls a gastro pub …it served pretty standard pub grub which was actually ok but you’d expect more from the gastro claim Breakfast plenty of it but quite dry
My mother and I stayed at the Rine for two nights and loved it. The hotel has a beautiful, modern lobby with a comfortable, open lounge that I had to myself on both Sunday and Monday afternoons. I ordered the buttermilk scones and they came beautifully presented with cream, jam and lemon curd - delicious. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first evening and Shannigans Gastro Bar on the second and the food in both was excellent. The fish, in particular, tasted as if it was caught that morning. The hotel has access to the beautiful grounds of Dromoland castle, which is perfect for a walk. You can also do a tour of the castle on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and take a carriage ride around the grounds. It's just 15 minutes' drive to Ennis, and less than half an hour to Bunratty. The hotel was absolutely spotless, and we thought the deal we got was excellent value. Be aware that there's a huge children's play facility, so it might be somewhere to avoid during the school holidays if you're looing for peace and quiet! We'll definitely be back again.
Superb
Excellent
Everything but breakfast is too expensive at 18 each
Breakfast price . I stayed with my daughters 2 friends. I couldn't spend this kind of money
