Oceanfront Suites at Cowichan Bay

Nos gustó la situación frente al mar y también la piscina de agua caliente.

Lo que no se mencionaba en ningún sitio es que en el puerto justo enfrente del hotel había una manada de leones marinos, que se pasaban todo el día y toda la noche berreando y por la noche no dejaban dormir bien. En principio nos pareció curioso y bajamos a hacerles un montón de fotos pero por la noche no esperábamos que hiciesen tanto ruido.

The suite allowed us to cook some of our own meals. It had a wonderful port-hole window for great views, plus the dock was full of sea lions and seal which was an added bonus.

Other suites we stayed in had provided both cooking oil and salt/pepper which wasn’t provided here so we had to make do without.

No breakfast was ordered.

The view from the suite overlooked the marina, inlet beyond and distant hills, was very spacious for two and provided a good night sleep from a comfortable bed and quiet corridor and surroundings.

The rooms were very comfortable and looking out on to the beach was beautiful. The restaurant was also amazing. Great food and beautiful views. We would definitely visit again.❤️

I can't really find anything I really didn't like.

View was excellent; however, could hear kids and other tourists on the beach in front of my windows; this extended to fairly late into the night. Soundproofing only 'fair' within the room, with hearing of 'bangs and booms' from other rooms (e.g., above) during the night.

The view from the oceanfront room was very nice. The room was also very large and comfortable.

The restaurant in the hotel was closed so needed to go offsite.

The kitchen and bedroom set up with sea side view & proximity to shops made for a memorable stay

The room had a beautiful view overlooking the marina. The room was spacious with a working kitchen.

Great location on the water, central and close to restaurants, activities and entertainment in the local surrounding cities.

Gym equipment, carpet and the usual amenities provided in a hotel gym. The equipment is 20 to 25 years old, rusty and hard to use. The carpeting is beaten up. Plus, no water and towels. I used the hotel gym 1 day and then paid for a weekly membership at Valley Fitness. The pool is very-very chlorinated and just way too strong.

Easy to find and wonderfully located. Bedroom suite absolutely fabulous - wish we'd been able to stay longer! Restaurant on site very good service and food. Will be back.

The restaurant is terrific. Location is great - not many options around there and each room has a view of the marina and water. The facilities are dated but it was very clean.

The room although clean lacked any warmth or appeal. No central air conditioning and the portable air condition was noisy and you could not sleep with it.

We had a great stay at Oceanfront Suites. Our suite was very spacious and had all of the amenities one could want in the room. The view of the bay was amazing and so relaxing.The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. We felt it was a very good value.

We would like to stay longer next time but we had plans already made.

We have travelled all over the island and stayed in a variety of places most were great; a few were not so great but this location exceeded all expectations. It is a surprising gem that went above and beyond. I will stay here again and will recommend it to family and friends

Tolle Ausstattung und die Lage mit direktem Blick auf den Hafen ist super. Betten sehr bequem, das Fitnessstudio, Pool und Sauna sind top und in der Küchenzeile ist alles vorhanden was wir gebraucht haben. Es gibt zwar kein Frühstück aber auf Wunsch gibt's Roomservice gegen Gebühr. Rund um das Hotel gibt es ein paar nette Restaurants, eine sehr gute Bäckerei und einige Souveniershops. Der Ort ist klein aber hat wirklich Charme.

Lots of space in the suite with living room, kitchen and bedroom, with a very comfortable king bed. Beautiful view of the bay and marina. The onsite restaurant was also excellent. We would definitely recommend staying here.

ease of getting to the property Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Bed was confortable (pillows were quite hard). There were nice shops close to hotel. Also there was a nice bakery close by serving fresh baked goods and coffee.

We were on the second floor with a big tree in front of our window. Didn't really have a view. Would have appreciated a higher floor so the view could match the picture provided when booking the room.

Very intense pinesol commercial cleaner smell upon checking in; instant migraine. Took hours to air it out with all the sliding windows wide open - def interrupted the experience as we didn’t feel well after that. We could have used a comforter for the second bed.

The view was beautiful and the king bed duvet was the best - we loved it

The rooms were very comfortable. Had a great sleep! Staff was attentive and helpful. And most of all, the view was amazing!

The view from both the living area and bed were beautiful of the bay. Seals were spotted on the jetty sun bathing from our room.

That the restaurant wasn’t open for breakfast

Apartment was very good size and had great views of the bay. The beds were comfortable and everything worked well. Coffee pods were provided. Towels were nice. Staff helpful and parking available.

Nothing that comes to mind. It was a good experience in all the ways that mattered to me.

The veiw over the bay was amazing, with the sea lions on the dock close to the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and well appointed, I would happily stay again.

A peaceful stay with a beautiful view. We loved the soft beds, the sea lions, and falling asleep to the sound of Cowichan Bay. Pure joy.

Gorgeous location overlooking the harbour (plus bonus sea lions who were very loud!! But the hotel did warn us and provide ear plugs!). Very friendly staff, and spotlessly clean. Really good value!

The room could use a bit of "zhujjing up". It was a very spacious suite but felt empty and clinical. Some more furnishings, art on the walls, rugs, etc to make it feel cozy and inviting would be great. It just felt like a lot of white, blank walls and cold tile floors, and we would have loved to cozy up with a little electric fireplace or something.

Restaurant only open until 8 pm, please get rid of the tiny plastic bottles for shampoo, conditioner and soap and use refillable dispensers that are more eco-friendly, no EV charging possibility

Tara at reception was super friendly and very informative. The room was great as was the view. We really enjoyed the hotel, Cook and Butcher restaurant at the hotel (delicious food and great service) and Cowichan Bay is fun. Seal lions made it even better.

The shower tap could do with a bit of adjustment but that was it.

Very comfortable spacious room with a fabulous view of the bay. Loved seeing and hearing the Sea Lions.

Disappointing that phoning was the only way to make a reservation at the onsite restaurant. Given that we were in a very different time zone until a few days of our stay this was not practical. By the time we had arrived in Canada the restaurant was fully booked.

The view and proximity to the water is amazing

The washrooms had a bad smell, the morning staff were rude. The room’s were over priced for what they are.

The person at the front desk was kind and comical. I thoroughly enjoyed their personality.

We were a little nervous when we first pulled up and walked into the lobby, but any hesitation disappeared once we saw our room. It was gorgeous, comfortable, and had such a beautiful view. Waking up to the sound of sea lions playing was such a unique and special touch. A lovely place to stay!

Loved our meal at the hotel restaurant with a takeout option which is handy for kids, the kitchenette in our suite, also great for families and our ocean views with sea lions was incredible

A little run down eg no smart tv and blinds falling down but the facilities made up for it (toaster, kettle, equipped kitchen, dining table, kind comfy bed etc)

Rooms were newly renovated and are huge. Great view. Lady who checked me in was not super friendly. Almost like I was annoying her checking me in. Can walk to restaurants, etc although not much going on in evenings. Get to dinner early.

Our room was large, clean and right on the marina. We got to hear the sea lions serenade us all day! We absolutely loved it. The town of Cow Bay is so cute and the food options delish! We will definitely be back!

Amazing location, room size is excellent, nice updated features as well. You can tell this an older building and it shows in the hallways and common areas. Overall a great stay.
