Very clean and stylish
Our room road side very loud all night not great sleep
Spiagge attrezzate raggiungibili facilmente a piedi. Ottimo il servizio di parcheggio . Personale di sala ee staff pulizie ottimo.
Nessuna accoglienza degba di un 4 stelle . Nessun servizio di trasporto bagagli in stanza . Piscina inagibile a causa della temperatura gelida . Stanze non di livello
The place, the breakfast, the swimming pool
Location
This was our second time staying in Minori at this hotel. It is the perfect location to explore surrounding areas without being crowded and paying the higher prices at the more touristy areas. The ferry and bus services are both good and only a short walk away. The staff at this hotel are exceptional, everyone from the Reception, Bar, Breakfast staff and the cleaners were all friendly and professional. A special mention to the lovely lady with the glasses at the pool bar who looks after everyone so well and always made time for a chat. Our room was small but perfect for us and had everything we needed including decent air conditioning. You do need to book the pool but we didn’t ever have an issue getting a booking. The prices at the pool bar were cheaper than England so we were happy with that. The decor in the main areas of the hotel are a bit dated but it was in keeping with the style of the building. I think the restaurant would be much busier if it was outside and slightly less formal but breakfast had plenty of choice and some lovely coffee. There were a few times when it was a little noisy at night or early in the morning but that was down to some guests not respecting others by being loud rather than road noise. We had a room to the side of the pool and it was pretty quiet. All in all, we had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this lovely hotel to others. For the best food in Minori try Janerios by the fountain for excellent seafood and hospitality.
The place, the pool, the breakfast
Parcheggio extra molto costoso. Cibo non all’altezza della fama italiana, appena sufficiente.
1.5stars Pros: Rooms clean and kept clean by staff Decent air con Short walk to beachfront That’s where the fun ends really. First major issue we encountered- the beds are extremely hard, and the covers are thin and scratchy. I actually found a beach lounger more comfortable. The noise from the road is unbearable, the balcony doors don’t insulate any sound so you have from about 1am-4am to sleep before you’re woken up by the sound of a scooter zipping up the road or a lorry early hours of the morning. I genuinely believe you’re better off paying a little more and getting a hotel with a better location or you will struggle to get any sleep whatsoever. The cherry on the cake was being put in a corner room next to the lift and store cupboard, so the sound of the staff wheeling trolleys over the tiles was extremely loud. The good thing is this just ended up blending into the sound over a scooter revving at 6000 RPM outside. The breakfast is very average with very little hot food options and the rest just wholesale pastries ect. The pool facilities are extremely small with only about 10 loungers requiring you to have to pre book either in the morning or afternoon but we found this not really an issue as you’re best just walking to the beachfront and paying for a lounger and a better view. We found this Italian family likes to take up most of the pool area, I’m presuming they live or have some sort of villa attached to the hotel?. Not allowed your own food or drink by the hotel pool either so you’re forced to buy the very average drinks/snacks. Minori a bit of a logistical nightmare. Busses extremely packed and ferries need pre booking to ensure you get a spot, that’s if they don’t get cancelled and you’re left stranded and forced to wait hours for a taxi back from amalfi or positano(could cost €200+) or another ferry in a couple hours time.
-room was clean, modern. Air con worked nicely. Cleaning service daily. Clean towels daily - food was good. I liked the way they separated the fruit and the salad items so you could make your own sald and fruit salad. Churros , pancakes and nutella every morning seemed to be a hit with all the kids. They also had chips at every single meal including breakfast which is good for the fussy eating kids. I think however they should a designated kids section for lunch and dinner and they should consistently put out the essentials like fish fingers and chicken nuggets at every meal. I also would have like to have seen a few more meat options. Usually there are a few chicken dishes inmost hotels at every meal but they seemed to only do chicken legs and wings. The desserts were quality. The best i have had abroad and I have stayed in many hotels. - The pool was a lovely size and perfect temperature. It wasnt cold at all. It was however so busy that you couldnt really go for a proper swim as there were people everywhere with inflatables and playing ball games so its not the best pool for persons who slecifically want to swim around. The baby pool was nice as it was deep enough for the little kids to still sit down and play etc and all the kids seemed to love the splash park and the water slides. - the sunbed situation is an issue. You have to queue at 8am to reserve a bed if you want one in the morning and then if you all go to breakfast as a family and no one stays on the beds you risk the lifeguards coming around and whipping your belongings and towels off. Really this is the hotels problem and they need to put some extra beds out. I personally would prefer to be laying next to a stranger, than to have no sunbed at all - bar service is the biggest issue. During the day there is a bar open outside and another inside. There's one staff member on each bar so you queue for 45 mins for a drink or food. Lots of people weren't bothering because of the queue so it seems the hotel coukd actually make more money by having a 2nd staff member on each bar. We would have had many more drinks if we didnt waste so much of our holiday in a bar queue
Struttura molto bella, ottima colazione Buona posizione
Siamo stati benissimo. Ottimo cibo ,servizio (molto bravi i camerieri )Un saluto a signor Alfonso il responsabile di salauna persona molto professionale. Grazie per averci sentiti a casa!
Non riesco a trovare una cosa negativa. Forse la piscina un pochino piccola.
Hermoso el hotel
The pool and bar attendant was absolutely fantastic, the rooms and room service are excellent , the restaurant staff are excellent , the old man and family that lay about the hotel without engaging with guest need to find somewhere else to hang about even if they do live there as their attitude towards guest makes you wonder why they are in the industry 🤔🤔
This is a lovely hotel in gem of a town . The hotel is in a perfect location right in the centre of beautiful Minori . We stayed for 5 nights in a superior room on the 4th floor with balcony over looking the pool . It was lovely and quiet, spacious with large comfy bed . The hotel is traditional not modern but it suits the Amalfi Coast perfectly . The pool area is relaxing and easy to book via the WhatsApp chat. All the restaurants in Minori are really close and the ferry is a few minute walk . We enjoyed our stay here and trips to nearby towns are easy . The first week we were in Sant Agnello next to Sorrento to. which was great for trips too but Minori was more relaxing and definitely more authentic Italian style . Highly recommend Villa Romana !
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in a comfort room and had a balcony overlooking the pool area. The room was very comfortable and clean - the bed was one of the best we have had on holiday. The cleaning staff were excellent and came in at least once a day to service the room. If I'm being picky, I'd have liked more storage space as there was only two drawers in the cupboard along with hanging space. There was some other space on the wardrobe floor but I'd have liked shelves ideally so I could lay things out. Loved the tiled floors though and the rooms were cool with the air con on. The breakfast was varied and good quality and staff in the restaurant were brilliant, always remembering our coffee order each morning and that we wanted to sit with friends. Although you did need to book the pool, this worked very well for us as two couples travelling together as we tended to go in the afternoon after being out exploring in the morning. This to me was preferable to coming back in the afternoon and finding nowhere to sit. The drinks by the pool were really good - very well made cocktails (not always the case in hotels). There is plenty of space to sit downstairs in the cool ground floor if you want to and a small bar. The reception staff were mainly helpful and friendly although perhaps there wasn't as much local information as we'd like - suggestions for restaurants, days out etc. However, it was a peaceful spot and I'd have no hesitation recommending it.
It was gorgeous and small
Nothing about the venue, but on booking we did say it was our honeymoon and nothing was done about it. We were also downgraded rooms without being told.
Great location, very clean, amazing Italian feeling!
The breakfast was the same every day for 5 days in a raw. You would expect some olives, some olive oil, eggs prepared in different ways.
Pros: overall lovely hotel - excellent location, super close to plenty of restaurants and bars, 5 minute walk down to the beach and the ferry port. Plenty of variety at breakfast and if you have an early start (before 7.30am) they will make you a to go bag with plenty of food and drinks. Room was spacious and comfortable and gives a real authentic Italian feel. Decent shower pressure. Good strong WiFi, clean pool area. Drinks at bar not too pricey considering its a 4 star hotel. Staff friendly and amenable. Discount for spa attached to the hotel and good value for money! Had an amazing 2 hour experience in the Optium Spa for €110 for the both of us, definitely worth booking. Cons: bring earplugs if you want a good nights sleep especially if in a front facing room as the roads are very noisy so you will hear cars, horns beeping, dogs barking. Hotel does not have a quiet policy and seems a few guests don't think to keep their voices down past 11pm and the walls are paper thin!! Was so glad I had my earplugs or I would have been cussing. Breakfast although varied wasn't the best quality, you will need a LOT of salt on your potatoes if you have them. Very dry. The pool area you will need to reserve a slot if you want to use it - either 10am-2pm or 2pm-6pm. While I agree this is a good system to stop the sunbed hoggers, its not the best when its busy and the host has picked your sunbed for you ... if you want one in the sun its pot luck whether you'll get one, you might be sat in the complete shade which if you want to catch a tan you're better off heading down to the beach. They do not like you moving the sunbeds around either and they are strict on how they've 'organised' the beds per how many guest have booked a slot so once you've been assigned a bed you cannot move even if the other guests may not turn up to use their slot. Overall a great stay and Minori is the perfect base to explore the Amalfi Coast if you want a quiet and authentic Italian experience away from the majority of tourists.
Great hotel. Cannot fault. Comfortable room, outstanding food, friendly staff. Nothing to fault! Would recommend
The breakfast was excellent and the room as well as the staff were very nice.
However.our room smelled of paint and we mentioned it to one of the gentlemen at the front desk and he said it would go away but it didn't. I believe oir room should have been changed or we should have received a discount.
Delicious dinner and breakfast. The staff we're very polite and helpful. They helped with booking spa's and tours of the lemon groves.
We had the most amazing time. This hotel is so good. The breakfast are amazing, delicious, a full range of patisserie, English breakfast, fresh fruit, you name it they have it. The most unexpected is their wonderful diner. Just a few things on the menu but all is prepared fresh and tastes wonderful. The service is also amazing. They can’t do enough for you. We definitely recommend
Beautifully presented.
No faults that I could see.
I cannot say enough about this charming hotel from the front desk staff through the lobby and into our room. Everything was absolutely beautiful and perfect. The morning breakfast was exceptional with the service being of the same standard. My only disappointment was we were unable to eat dinner in the restaurant due to special event parties. Minori was equally quaint and charming. Being off season, restaurant selections were low but the food was excellent. We were traveling with our 1 year old granddaughter. The staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating for her needs. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it for your stay. This is a treasure on the Amalfi coast.
Hotel di ottimo livello. Camera matrimoniale superior, calda e pulita.
The decor was beautiful and it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices was very good. The pool was a great added bonus
A gem hotel in gem village of Minori. We had a room with balcony which we very much appreciated. Spotlessly clean. Towels changed daily. Very attentive and friendly staff. Outstanding breakfast. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant which was reasonably priced. The hotel is well situated and close to the promenade with many good restaurants close by. No steep steps!! A small point only- the rooms might benefit from coffee making facilities. I firmly recommend this hotel
The hotel is in a perfect location in the center of Minori with a lot of restaurants and cafes and 5 min walk to get the beach and ferry. the lobby is beautiful and the hotel has an elevator , air conditioning and a pool. however it is very dated and could use some upgrades. We were exited for a balcony but it had 2 chairs and no table. the shower/ bath was a mess and the towels were used everyday ri mop up the floor. as others mentioned there is no coffee machine in the room or free water. there is no smart tv and only 2 english stations and the large heavy key was reminiscent of traveling in the 80’s. Also the front desk staff were neither unfriendly but not over helpful or informative. would skip this over priced hotel and stay in a B & B.
Pool staff deserve a raise :-) - Francesca was fantastic and made our stay by the pool so much nicer, very friendly and welcoming. She needs a pay rise dealing with certain customers. Hotel is great our second time, rooms good and well appointed. Minori is a gem on the Amalfi coast please never change never turn in to positano! Will be back
Great location. Away from the madness of the bigger Amalfi towns but only a short boat ride away. Excellent breakfast
Hotel very good but not much choice for breakfast.
The hotel location, decor and staff were all brilliant. Minori is a gorgeous little town on the Amalfi coast. Not as busy as some of the bigger places. We learned the hotel was the only one in Minori with a pool which was great. The pool booking system worked well & it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere there. Breakfast was very good. It did offer the same food everyday but that included plenty of variety.
No complaints
We stayed for five nights at Villa Romana as two families of four and absolutely loved our time here. The hotel itself is clean, luxurious, and in a fantastic location. The pool was perfect for the children and very easy to book, making it a real highlight of our stay. Breakfast each morning was plentiful with lots of delicious options to choose from. While we didn’t dine in the hotel during the evenings (choosing instead to enjoy the many excellent restaurants in Minori), the menu looked tempting with plenty of choice. What really stood out was the staff—every single member we encountered was attentive, kind, and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Minori itself is a charming place to stay. We can highly recommend the lemon tour to Maiori, which was both fascinating and fun, and the walk up to Ravello is a definite leg burn, but is well worth it. From there you can head down into Amalfi and catch the boat back to Minori for a perfect day out. We genuinely can’t find a single negative about our stay and would 100% recommend Villa Romana to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast.
Just about to check out after a weeks stay full board. Enjoyable stay, hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the seafront. Room was a little tired but very clean. I can’t fault the staff that work here they are very polite and work very hard. During the time of our stay we were able to book pool sessions between 10 and 2pm or 2pm to 6pm at reception. Sun beds were allocated on a first come first served basis and each group of sun beds has a umbrella. The lack of a light cotton dressing gown, no pen and paper, no option of a usb port to charge your phone and tea and coffee facilities were things that would benefit the room. As a side note on the resort it’s very quiet, bring insect repellent as the mosquitos came out in force for us. The food in the restaurant, good breakfast options plenty of choice and self serve. The food in the evenings choice of three options for each course. The pasta options served were a large potion that we asked to share. For the evening meal the restaurant lacked atmosphere and had light music playing in the background, it wasn’t well used at the times we were there. Food is cooked fresh to order and was of a good standard.
Staff very grumpy
Very beautiful hotel. Very clean. Close to all restaurants and the beach . Star very friendly
Servizi, ottima posizione, staff gentile e accogliente.
Stanze con pulizia migliorabile (ragnatele e polvere)
Good room - the only problem was the balcony. While it was lovely to have, the balcony doors/windows were not soundproof so you heard everything as if you were outside! And the construction starting at 7 in the am and hearing that very loudly was a lot. We faced the street - we didn’t have an inside room so not sure if it was more quite in the inside rooms. Clean hotel convenient location. Front desk staff were helpful. Good options for breakfast with my daughter having to be gluten free. Market for food was literally 10 steps away from the hotel which made getting groceries for a beach day very convenient!
A lovely hotel in Minori as a base to explore The Amalfi Coast. I have to say that we fell in love with Minori and despite all the hype of the more popular tourist destinations we travelled to, our hearts belonged in Minori. The hotel is stunning with old charm and a personal feel. Our room 628 was very small but nice and quiet and although small we had no complaints as we are aware of the age of the building. We booked directly with the hotel instead of through the usual travel companies in the UK which saved us a lot, especially on the transfer that the hotel organised. Paola looked after us really well emailing backwards and forwards with any questions I had. The pool is stunningly beautiful. We loved the solarium area higher up as it always had sun, even when the rest of the pool area was in the shade. The lovely lady who runs the swimming pool area was so friendly and I enjoyed our chats. She makes the world’s best Lemon Sprits which I will try to recreate at home..!! We only had breakfast on one morning but it was plentiful and lots to choose from. Lots of amazing places to eat out at if like us you enjoy trying a different place each night. We will definitely go back to Minori and if we so, I would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again. Thank you for an amazing holiday. Sarah and Noel Smith x
There was an unpleasant odour in certain areas of the hotel, including the first room we were placed in. Staff did accommodate a move after a few days. Swimming pool left much to be desired - stiff accommodations and atmosphere. Rooms were small and don’t allow you to run AC or use electricity to charge devices while out.
Had an a great experience with my family on our wedding trip. This hotel was perfectly located in Manor Ehry, with access to amazing restaurants and beach.
The location, facilities in the area. Cleanliness. A small pool and decent restaurant.
Noisy rooms, the outside noise comes through the doors as they are not airtight. The walls dividing the rooms are just stud so you can hear what’s happening in the other rooms. Plus the cleaners drag the cleaning trolleys early morning through the cobble rolled floor which make a hell lot of noise. If you are on holiday and want to sleep in then the rooms are not fit for that. You will be waking up early for sure. The bathroom doors need to be improved as one can hear everything when someone goes in to do their deeds. The breakfast could be improved, as we stayed for 5 nights and it was just them same repeated. Again if you are on a holiday you want sleep in so the timing could be stretched a bit.
This could have been a perfect place to stay only if…… …We didn’t know we needed to reserve a place at the pool. What a disappointment for the kids in such a heat wave. …The AC was making so much noise, it was cold, but not sleeping while cold is not the best. We ask 3 times to get it fixed but no results. …In the hotel details, there was self parking, but no, only valet parking at €30 was available, no other options. The room need a refresh, but since we are visiting this is not so bad. The service is 50/50. We had AMAZING people and some other just rude and careless. The breakfast was perfect, ideal for a family.
Great
Good central location in Minori. Very close to the ferry port 5 mins walk ! Many restaurants and cafes around to have dinner and aperitvo. Seems like a nice location to stay if you want to stay in the Amalfi Coast but away from the touristy locations of Amalfi and Postiano but still in a great place to visit them.
Though the room was clean it seemed a bit damp and outdated. The air con smelt a bit odd at times too. We would have complained to reception about this matter. However, we felt the service from the staff was appalling most of the time we were there. The restaurant staff are tired and basically it feels like they do not want to be there, we had a incident on the first day at breakfast so complained to reception about this, though nothing really changed the following day. The the reception staff were ok, however we also encountered them to not really care at times We both have worked hospitality in several countries and know what good service is ... this is far from it. To be paying a lot of money for a stay at this "4 star hotel" and to be getting inadequate service is disappointing and I will not be returning, which is a shame as we enjoyed the location of Minori very much.
My partner and I booked Villa Romana Minori 10 months in advance to celebrate our engagement — what should have been special was ruined by rude staff, poor service and blatant false advertising. We were shouted at on arrival, given no information about meals or facilities, and left waiting an hour for our room with no update. Despite requesting something special for our engagement (and offering to pay more), nothing was done. The room was gloomy, damp and mouldy, with broken fans and leaking pipes. The air con only worked if we wedged the balcony door shut with our suitcase. We were misled about the pools and spa — the advertised spa is across the road and costs €100+ just to use the pool! The ‘beach view pool’ doesn’t even exist. Staff were rude, communication was awful and security felt non-existent. After paying nearly £3,000 we felt completely let down, stressed and forced to eat out on our first night due to a private event. Overpriced, overrated, and utterly disappointing — I strongly recommend you avoid both this hotel and Love Holidays.
Hotel is in a great location. Beach, restaurants, water shuttle, bus & laundromat are all in a 5 - 10 minute walk. Hotel has a pool & onsite restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. This is our 4th stay & really like this hotel.
Villa Romana Hotel Minori Italy is suitably placed and just a gentle 2 minute walk to the sea front. The hotel is old with a traditional, tasteful interior, the staff are on the whole polite. The food is typically continental with buffet style breakfast, so if you are expecting anything close to British food, then you will be disappointed, the same goes with the evening meals, although what we had was not bad at all but a little more Italian type of food would have been preferred instead on just food that tried to be Al a Cate. If you are expecting a room with a view and a balcony then then you have 50/50 chance of having one with the best view you would get is of the internal swimming pool. Our room was on the front of the hotel with only a Juliet balcony that you couldn't sit on and overlooking a busy road that was constantly very noisy and looking a very delapating houses that are occupied and can see into your bedroom. The noisy road is constant, and only goes a little quieter after midnight, and then you are woken up by the refuse collection at 5ish in the morning. The swimming pool has to be precooked for a 2/3 hour slot in the morning or afternoon. Would we stay here again? would be No! although the Amalfi coast is stunning, and we'll worth a visit.
The location is lovely with shops, restaurants, beach and boat port within a few minutes walk. The hotel is beautiful, clean and the staff are very polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and location. We rented a boat from the boat service which is by the beach for €150 for half a day. The staff were brilliant. We visited Amalfi, Positano and around the coast. We had a day trip to the Isle of Capri and visited the Blue Grotto. The wait times for this for 2 hours plus. I highly recommend this hotel & location.
Absolutely STUNNING AND BEAUTIFUL. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and the hotel is just stunning. Breakfast was in a buffet style but there was enough choice and was good quality. The bed was comfortable, the bath was big and deep, slippers were provided in the room. WiFi was available and a TV in the room. The view from the bedroom window was stunning too. Would 100% recommend, one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in.
Lots of comfortable lobby seating and beautiful design and art
In the mornings
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Spotless room was very large. Breakfast was outstanding. Ate dinner one night and it was excellent. Hotel is convenient to center of town and bars, restaurants and stores. Minori is a small village so it was perfect for us.
The service and amenities were first class and the cleanliness was also amazing. The breakfast buffet was also very impressive.
Sad that the pool was closed as for English guests it was easily hot enough for swimming.
We had a really nice time here. This hotel is only a few minutes to the beach. The hotel room was very nice with a balcony overlooking the street. We ate dinner in the hotel for 3 nights and it was delicious! Our waiter Alfonso was very helpful and accommodating.
The village of Minori is beatiful and near to Amalfi and Positano. The whole decor of the Hotel was beautiful and authentic italian. The elder gentleman at the Restaurant, was very sweet and attentive.
Our room had a window with shutters that could not open more than 10 cm because of some repairs happening outside the building. Even during the day the room was very dark. Such a pitty for such a high price that we paid....!
Fantastic hotel with cozy room and awesome breakfast. Breakfast room is very original where tree leaves fall over the table as if you were in the woods. Delicious food, and 300 meters from the beach.
I witnessed a great rep from travelsphere whilst staying at this beautiful hotel. She cared about her clients and made sure they had a fantastic time throughout there stay joining in the fun and dancing well done Karina Mitens for making it memorable for these people.
This hotel is a GEM! Perfectly situated in Minori you can easily walk, ferry or short bus ride to Amalfi and Maiori or hike the Path of the Lemons. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice, we had 2 for our large family. Breakfast was buffet style with an almost overwhelming number of options.
Our second visit to Minori and this was the better of the two hotels we've stayed in. It's up a hill but we found it easy to walk down to the seafront (3 minutes) and comfortable to walk back up as well. The public areas were of a high standard and a great place to enjoy a drink and relax. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We needed gluten free food options for medical reasons and these were available, both at breakfast and dinner. Though we hadn't planned to take dinner in the hotel, we did so 5 times as the menu (which changed every evening) was lovely and our GF needs were catered for without any problems. It was €30 per person for three courses - a very good deal given the quality of the food. The waiting staff were very efficient and Alphonse looked after us very well. The hotel is popular with tour groups though that didn't delay restaurant service and the buzz was ideal - not at all stilted as is the case with some hotel dining rooms. The bedroom was very comfortable with a bath, shower and balcony. We don't have a problem with street noise though we overlooked the road. Were we to return to Minori we would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is so accommodating and friendly. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious! So many options for breakfast and lots of delicious desserts. The location is perfect. Very easy to navigate to other parts of the Amalfi coasts for day excursions.
Nothing all was great.
What an amazing hotel. We spent the first part of our honeymoon here and the room was exceptional. Absolutely beautiful hotel, fantastic and kind staff. Definitely returning
First of all, we found this to be the perfect location for exploring minor, maiori and further afield. It’s such an easy stroll to the beach, boat stand, etc. The decor is very pretty, particularly impressive is the bougainvillea covering in the restaurant. We were in room 104 which is road-side and next to the stairwell. The room was spacious but oh my god the noise! I wish we’d asked to move, we didn’t get a full night of sleep the entire week because of the mopeds and other guests having no regard for their noise levels when returning from the bar... The other drawback is that there were no supplies in the room other than the mini bar. I feel if you’re charging this much for a hotel room, the least you could offer is a kettle and some tea/coffee gear. Beds were pretty rigid, too. Felt quite simple for how much you’re paying. Breakfast was served 7-10 I believe, which is a generous window. Once seated, you can order fresh proper coffee from the bar (which was wonderful). Breakfast was nice but quite a small offering. We didn’t touch the hot breakfast and stuck to pastries, fruit and yoghurt, etc. my husband fell in love with the lemon cake and resorted to having it every day. The croissants were lush. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat lunch or dinner there, however we did enjoy a few drinks in the bar one evening and have to say, the espresso martinis were incredible (trust me, I’ve tried a lot!) You do have to book the pool, but it was never a problem we always managed to get two beds. The pool area is lovely and the lady that operates it is fantastic - very smiley, kind and helpful. Overall, a lovely stay in Minori but a few little things let it down.
My wife and I stayed here between 8-10 October and I have to say it’s a lovely hotel. Set in a great location in Minori. Giving easy access to the ferry port and the lovely little town center. And great access to Sal de Riso and the wonderful cakes and food it offer just some the street, don’t miss it. The room was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfy and plenty of space in the room to move about also had a balcony to watch the town go by. The staff were very helpful and courteous and the cleaners very prompt. The place is very well kept and clean. We got breakfast with our room and there was plenty of choice to please everyone and the dining room was very well decorated and spacious, the waiting staff were also very helpful and friendly. This is a great base to explore the Amalfi coast region with easy access to Amalfi, Ravello and positano via ferry transfer, bus or moped. We hired a moped from the easy bike rental on the side street from the hotel and it was great. We got into positano in about 50 minutes. The streets are very windy but if you take it steady you won’t have any issues and the views are awesome riding along the coast, great value rental too. The hotel was well priced and I would absolutely recommend it to friends and family. Minori itself is a real hidden gem!. Away from The hustle and bustle of the busier Amalfi and positano it was great to relax after a day exploring and there is plenty of choice for drinks and food. Thanks for a great stay
The hotel is beautiful with a lot of attractive, inviting public areas. Our room was lovely, spacious and well-equipped, with a balcony overlooking the pool area. The large bed was very comfortable. It was well-serviced and clean. There was plenty of room in the wardrobe, but only 1 drawer each. The bathroom was nice with a good shower over the bath. We could hear the conversations of people in adjacent rooms and also on the corridor, but other guests were not noisy and did not keep late hours. The dining room was large, pleasant and relaxing. It was well run by the very professional maitre d' and his team. Breakfast was excellent with a full range of cooked food which we found delicious and hot. There was also an amazing range of food for continental breakfast. We particularly liked the jugs of coffee and hot milk, which could be refilled on request. At dinner, there were 3 courses, with a choice of 3 dishes for each. All of these were appetising and we had trouble choosing which ones to have. We enjoyed all the dishes we were served. We didn't need to use reception much, but most of the people we spoke to there were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated about a five minute walk to the beach, promenade and ferry port in Minori, which is a lovely, small town with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. You can easily see it all in half a day and we would recommend taking lots of trips to see the beautiful surrounding area. Ravello was our favourite, with an outstanding villa to visit, very calm and relaxing. The roads are narrow, winding and busy. We don't recommend driving! We were there for a week and the high standards never varied during the whole of that time.
Visited with a tour group. Charming family owned hotel with beautiful furnishings. Very central location within easy reach of restaurants, coffee places, shops, and short walking distance to the waterfront and pier. Nice buffet breakfast starting at 7AM; no coffee available before. Rooms have safe.
