Sheraton Athlone Hotel

Great selection and choice

Nothing

Disappointed that there was nowhere to dry our clothing we arrived very very wet after cycling all day in the rain and could not dry our gear

Improve the coffee machine Add a drying room !

Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice

Check in wasnt great, it was late, nearly midnight. There were two members of staff who were dealing with an irate customer and they left us standing for ages. I signalled to one of them and they just said they would be a few minutes. We waited again and I had to signal again to say it was late, eventually one of them came over to check us in. Also, they're were no USB chargers in the bedroom which was disappointing. I asked at reception for a plug as all we had were charging leads with us, but it would have cost €10 to hire one. I thought this was a bit much.

Location, facilities and value

My booking could not be found and I had avery stressful experience trying to prove i had booked. It was to do with me booking with booking.com. I edited rooms to have my friends allocated to a room for their arrival because it was 6 rooms altogether. This messed up the original name on the booking which was mine and the reception staff member was unable to find it when the first guest arrived to book in. I was still travelling and I had to provide several emails of my booking before I could provide a lead to the booking with the guy at reception. He was stressed, I was stressed and it all happened because I could add guest names through edit booking in the manage my booking in my booking.com confirmation on the app and did so not knowing the booking then was no longer in my name. The desk member described it as a mess which I was insulted by, because it was inadvertently done. I didn't mean to cause a mess but I inadvertently made it very difficult for him to find the booking once I added names to rooms within the booking. Anyway, once sorted, everything was 👍

Pool and sauna area was good. Room was spacious, and the bed was really a King. Breakfast choice was good.

Check-in took 30mins. 2 from 3 desks manned. Staff took too much time with guests registering. Should be a concierge desk to deal with restaurant and sight-seeing questions. Staff were polite but the growing Q did not register with them. When the hotel is fully booked, one coffee machine ( badly placed too) in the breakfast room is inadequate.

The room was nice, big and the bed was comfortable. In a great location. Sean’s Bar was nearby.

Would have given higher review but the music was so loud that we couldn’t sleep. The DJ in the club downstairs played until 2 am. We notified the manager and my husband had to go in person too. Still nothing was done & the manager just apologized & said there were several other noise complaints yet nothing g was done about it?

Ottima struttura e servizio piscina/palestra

Problemi con app servizio in camera

Staff and manager excellent

The location, food, friendly & helpful staff. We were a group of 10, we all enjoyed our one night stay, none of us had anything negative to say.

Great location service and staff excellent T

The service, location, and facilities were excellent.

From start to finish, our stay at the Sheraton Athlone Hotel was perfect. The hotel is beautifully maintained, and every area was spotlessly clean, from the bedrooms to the pool and spa facilities and the hotel is located right beside the town centre. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay, always friendly, professional, and willing to help. We booked the spa treatment which was excellent and incredibly relaxing big thanks to Sinead. The pool area was also outstanding, clean, well maintained. Our bedroom was comfortable, immaculate, and provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The food was delicious, with a great selection and excellent service. A special mention must go to the manager, Garrett, who was extremely friendly and took the time to check in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I would highly recommend the Sheraton Athlone Hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Good location to the mall

Nothing g

On arrival we were upgraded to an Executive room which was very large, clean & fresh. Bathroom was spotless and the king size bed was so comfy including the 4 fab pillows, large fluffy towels and bathrobes! Black out curtains another bonus! Breakfast was super with a very large selection for food and so much choice. Staff were so friendly and helpful at reception and also breakfast service! Bonus is that the secured underground car parking at the hotel, although linked to the shopping centre, is FREE... a rare experience! Hotel location right in heart of Athlone ...simply perfect .... love the 12noon checkout ..so many hotels now implement 11am checkout, the extra hour is super to chill after an fabulous breakfast ..overall 10/10 We will be back!

N/A - Faultless visit! Everything was A1!!!

Top! Gratis upgrade gekregen naar de presidential suite. Vriendelijk personeel & spa + zwemfaciliteit was in orde.

An exceptional experience.

Everything about the hotel, upgraded when we arrived , hotel central to the town, breakfast was so good, room was just fab, didn't want to leave it.

Can't think of anything

Very comfortable hotel in a great location

Nothing

Large room, comfy bed, great location, friendly staff, modern hotel.

The window was directly onto a walkway for the tower so you must close your curtains for any semblance of privacy, the air conditioning is quite weak so the room was warm, the fridge was also warm.

So funktioniert Hotelservice.

Alles perfekt.

Excellent location with friendly helpful and welcoming staff. The breakfast was excellent

Everybody was very helpful and courteous. Excellent staff.

Honestly. Nothing.

Tudo muito legal..amei

Gostei de tudo.

Our room overlooked the service yard

Great location.

Very expensive for what it is. Room had a lot of wear and tear.

Very clean, comfortable, and convenient. Staff very nice

The room was v clean hotel easy to find from train station

There was a smell of stale cigarette smoke from the curtains. The adults only rule at the swimming pool in the evenings was not enforced. Breakfast was mediocre.

A modern, clean, upmarket hotel in a good location. Good swimming pool and leisure facilities. Free parking included.

Nothing.

Location

N/a

Location was walking distance to the town which was lovely.

Our room had floor to ceiling windows with voile & curtains but looked out onto a busy hotel walkway and we had to keep our curtains closed the whole time as you could see through into the bedroom from the walkway. We were glad we were only there a few hours. The windows should have 1 way viewing glass.

Great facilities and superb breakfast best we have had in Ireland

Lots of lifts and room was quiet a walk from the car park

sehr gute Lage gutes Frühstück, sehr gutes Personal

Modern and clean

Large room, well equiped. Very good breakfast with a lot of choice. Parking included. Staff professional.

Music outside late in the evening. The shower was not so clean with black dirty joints. Clearly we don't expect that for this level of price !

Our room was very spacious & the bed was comfortable Tor a good nights sleep. The breakfast was excellent so much selection & the staff were so friendly.

I liked everything about the property.
