Room was a little dated and small. Round the shower screen was a little rusty in places.

The breakfast is a little bit old fashioned and there was no chopped fruit left only pieces of apple in a bowl. We had a cooked breakfast it was OK. Could be better.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026i last visted the bush hotel many years ago for a work dinner/dance ...it was lovely then !...BUT wow now !...WOWSER !...alan & his team do a wonderfull job here !...ONE OF THE MOST SPOTLESS HOTELS ..ive ever visited WORLDWIDE !...the staff in bushes are exceptional ; the reception staff ; the lovely sisters who served me breakfast ; etc and of course alan ..a very friendly /helpfull manager !...cant wait for my next trip here !...

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026I loved the breakfast, good gluten free options, staff were willing to mix and match cooked breakfast items. The hotel has a vast array of historical facts about the local area which led me on a delightful walk around the town and in particular to the Attic memorial..... a very sympathetic and compassionate telling of the famine/genocide and the impact of colonialism on rural Irish culture.
The bar was closed when we returned from a gig locally

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026On entering the hotel the first thing we noticed was the musty smell which was the same in the room the room was terrible small window had to be kept open with a tissue box one of the beds felt like it was going to collapse we booked this for Friday and we were going to stay again on Monday after we came off our boat trip but decided to go home on the Monday we would not stay there again

Zimmer ging auf Innenhof mit der Entlüftung der Küche. Das war sehr laut und hat nach alten Fett gerochen. In der Nacht war das aber abgestellt, ging aber um 6 inder Früh wieder los.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026We had a really great stay. The room was very spacious, with a lovely big bathroom and an excellent shower. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating with my mobility needs, which I really appreciated. They also made sure our room was close to other members of our party who were staying at the hotel. The location was brilliant too — very central, with some great bars nearby and plenty within easy walking distance. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and we’d happily stay again.

Night club up a few doors from hotel and extremely noisy up to 2.30 am now this is not the fault of the hotel but unfortunately you can’t get to sleep.💤 So the noise is ruining the business to the hotel as I would not stay here again at the weekend.. this is unfortunate for the hotel as it is in a great location. Facilities would need to be modernised also a carpet on stairs could do with being sorted which is not a big job…things not finished to a good standard!!
