Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Simple, small rooms but clean and well decorated. Good location near major train stations. Some of the staff were so lovely but a couple of others were almost rude - literally didn't look at us when handing us the key or answering questions. Overall though a good hotel

L'hôtel est idéalement placé, à proximité de la gare de l'est, des transports en commun et de nombreux bars et restaurants. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais copieux et bien fourni.
Odeur de canalisation dans la salle de bain qui envahit la chambre, facilement gérable en aérant la chambre.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2026We arrived well before check-in time so that we might leave our baggage,and we were offered tea and coffee and advised about local restaurants. The best-recommended one - just a few metres away - proved to be excellent. Room was a bit small, but the bed was large and very comfortable, and bathroom excellent, with everything working well. Staff very helpful. Breakfast very good.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Hotel Soft is in an excellent location. It is footsteps from Canal St. Martin -- the beautiful waterway with elegant bridges over it and thousands of spots to sit with a picnic lunch and bottle of wine in one of the greatest outdoor urban settings in all of Europe. The hotel also is within easy walking distance of Paris' large Gare de L'Est and Gare du Nord railroad stations. I arrived at L'Est and walked to Hotel Soft in less than 10 minutes. I departed Paris at Gare du Nord and it was less than 15 minutes to walk there from the hotel. The hotel is located a side street, so it is quiet at night. My room overlooked a pleasant rear courtyard shared with other buildings. Hotel Soft also is the perfect distance from the two major rail stations -- as in close enough to walk without paying high taxi rates, and far enough away to avoid the seedy element the populates the surroundings of major transit hubs -- even in this most elegant of cities. The room was clean, efficient and tiny. I paid just under $150 (fully loaded with taxes) and got what I paid for -- a room with almost no space around the bed, a tiny bathroom (with a troublesome shower tube that was so high up off the ground that I hung onto the adjacent sink for dear life to prevent a dangerous fall during the huge step up/step down.) Thankfully, the no frills property has an elevator. It gets huge credit for having a door between the elevator and rooms -- which tamps down noise from people departing the lift at all hours. The hotel also has many signs reminding guests to be quiet. I requested a quiet room and was accommodated with a dwelling away from street sounds and separated from the elevator from by said soundproofed door. The desk was great about getting my requested extra flat bed sheet -- then going on a long hunt for real coffee (room only had decaf packets) the first morning.
The first night, I slept chaotically. There was a thumping noise from the room above from at least 11 p.m. till past 1 a.m. It sound like people dropping luggage over and over -- or a large dog leaping off the bed. A bit more soundproofing should be added. Because the phone in the room doesn't work, I did not contact the front desk to investigate the noise. When I was asking a question to the front desk clerk the next morning, a fellow traveler checking out also complained about poor sleep due to loud thuds from the room above. I confess I am a light sleeper and this was the first night adjusting to the 6 hour time difference -- but since a similar solo traveler on my floor had the same experience, I have to share this noise concern.

Le petit déjeuner est un peu succinct, les baguettes industrielles. Les places sont limitées, il ne vaut mieux pas arriver à un moment de forte affluence au risque de devoir attendre qu'une table se libère.

Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Hotel pulito con personale disponibile e molto gentile; abbastanza varia la colazione sia dolce che salata. Vicino alla Gare du nord (15 minuti a piedi) e alla stazione della Metro. Prezzi abbastanza elevati per lo essere un tre stelle ma comunque nella norma per Parigi.
La zona è sicuramente interessante in quanto a due passi dal Canal Saint Martin ricco di locali caratteristici e frequentati anche dai Parigini ma purtroppo la sera mi sono sentita un po’ a disagio, non paura o pericolo ma a disagio.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2026De locatie is fantastisch in de gezellige wijk Gracia met leuke winkels en restaurants en veel locale bevolking. Vriendelijk personeel en goed ontbijt. Kamer werd dagelijks schoongemaakt en voorzien van nieuw beddengoed en handdoeken.
Bij de Booking stond het prachtige hoofdgebouw op de foto. Het verblijf was in een ander minder fraai gebouw. De kamer was erg sober maar functioneel ingericht.

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Lage gut, Personal sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig. Die Klimaanlage hat sehr gut funktioniert während es heiss war.
Leider war es bei uns nicht so sauber wie in vielen Bewertungen gelobt. Die Möblierung wirkt sehr verbraucht. Ziertextilien (Vorhänge, Bettzierdecken, Zierpolster wirken abgenutzt und ungewaschen). Das Bett wurde täglich gerichtet, frische Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt, doch bei uns waren die Fussböden schmutzig, unter dem Bett zb sehr staubig. Wir haben im Badezimmer eine Kakerlakennymphe gefunden, vielleicht ist das in Paris bereits üblich? Außerdem hatten wir den Verdacht auf Bettwanzen (typische Stiche).

Notre-Dame in 40 min fußläufig zu erreichen. Frühstück für Pariser Verhältnisse gut (Preis/Leistung). Parkplatz in Tiefgarage vorhanden, aber ca. 100 m entfernt da angemietet. Bei Buchung reservieren!
Zimmer relativ klein. Von den zwei Zimmern war ein Bad ohne Fenster oder Lüftung. Zimmer relativ hellhörig. Klimaanlage geräuschvoll. Ein älterer Fahrstuhl für max. 2 Personen, wir mussten daher oft die Treppen gehen.

Je suis arrivé et la chambre n'était pas prête, j'ai déposé mon sac et suis parti car attendu pour un évènement. J'ai prévenu que je reviendrais tardivement. Lorsque je suis arrivé peu avant minuit mon sac m'attendais mais pas ma chambre, à la place la chambre basique et male entretenue du rez de chaussé à côté de l'accueil... Globalement déçu pour le prix demandé...

Le personnel est sympathique et accueillant, avec une mention spéciale pour Sergio, qui a été particulièrement gentil, disponible et chaleureux. L’emplacement est un vrai avantage : l’hôtel est très proche de la Gare de l’Est, dans un quartier central, ce qui permet de rejoindre facilement et rapidement les différents endroits de Paris grâce aux transports en commun. Le rapport qualité-prix est également très bon. Dans l’ensemble, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
Quelques petits points pourraient être améliorés. La propreté est globalement satisfaisante, mais certains coins mériteraient un nettoyage plus approfondi. Le personnel du petit déjeuner manque un peu de dynamisme et le service peut être assez lent : il faut parfois patienter pour que les tables soient débarrassées ou que les produits soient réapprovisionnés. Enfin, l’ascenseur et les couloirs sont assez étroits, ce qui peut être peu pratique, notamment pour les personnes avec de très gros bagages. Ce sont toutefois des points secondaires qui ne remettent pas en cause notre bonne expérience globale.

Mangelhafte Sauberkeit im ganzen Hotel, Haare der vorherigen Gäste in Waschbecken, Dusche, Bad. Schubladen waren äußerst schmutzig. geöffnete Intimartikel anderer Gäste waren enthalten.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Lage fantastisch, Nähe Gare de l'Est - Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit! - Frühstück: sehr viel Auswahl, sehr schön und angenehm eingerichtet, mit angenehmen Musik im Hintergrund, alle Sachen beim Frühstück sehr lecker!!! - Zimmer ein bisschen klein, aber es war kein Problem! Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Het hotel zit op loopafstand naar mooie bezienswaardigheden (30-40 min) Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en kan je ook in het Engels goed te woord staan. Het hotel is klein, maar precies wat je nodig hebt. Het is er schoon en er zit 24/7 iemand bij de receptie.
Het ontbijt is minimaal. Je zou kunnen zeggen, ze hebben alles wat je nodig hebt, maar verwacht geen luxe. En er is ook geen afwisseling. Wat er was smaakte goed, maar nogmaals niet groots of luxe.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Nu ne asteptam la ceva extraordinar avand in vedere amplasarea. Camera mica, destul de veche, fara aer conditionat insa a contat mai mult zona, usurinta de a ajunge chiar pe jos la diverse obiective. Un mare plus pentru micul dejun care a fost delicios.
Mai necesita ingrijire, nu cred ca s-a investit de multa vreme in a asigura confortul corect raportat la pret - nu poti mari camera, insa o poti face sa fie curata.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026La posizione strategica perché vicino alle due stazioni Gare de l'Est e Gare du Nord, in una via laterale. Il personale alla reception molto gentile, le camere silenziose.
Il bagno, abbiamo pernottato in due date diverse ed entrambe le camere avevano i bagni piuttosto vecchi e da ammodernare. La colazione, sicuramente da rivedere.

Unfreundlicher Service am Frühstücksbuffet, vielleicht sind die Damen auch einfach überfordert gewesen! Man musste warten, bis ein Tisch frei wurde und neu eingedeckt wurde. An sich ein sehr netter Frühstücksbereich, jedoch alles sehr eng!

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Camera tripla abbastanza spaziosa. Due letti attaccati per fare un matrimoniale e uno staccato per fare il singolo. L’unica cosa “negativa” era la finestra del bagno chiusa con le viti e quindi in alcun modo si poteva aprire e facendo la doccia si accumulava tutta l’umidità e il caldo che far andare via non era proprio semplice. La colazione molto variegata: dolce e salata con abbastanza scelta. Staff molto disponibile e gentile. Anche la posizione molto comoda: di fronte un bar e poco più avanti un ristorante. Comoda struttura anche per i mezzi pubblici perché poco vicino ci sono sia fermata metro che bus. Anche un Franprix vicino è piuttosto fornito. Consigliato assolutamente.

Water stopper was not working, changed rooms, then given a room with a wall behind the only window. Had to change rooms again (stayed for 8 nights) Last room was a superior room and much better. Had to constantly ask the breakfast lady to make more sausages.

Chambre et salle de bains assez petites. Nous avions pris une chambre de 3 lits. Même si elle est propre, il est temps de la remettre à neuf (humidité dans la salle de bains).

Det var ofte tomt for mat under frokosten, og det var generelt lite utvalg.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Das Hotel ist vom Gare de l'Est wunderbar zu erreichen. Der Herr an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. In der gleichen Straße konnte ich auch Abendessen. Mein Zimmer war klein aber es fehlte an nichts. Zum Canal Saint Martin ist es nur ein paar Schritte und zum Boot durch den Kanal such nicht weit.

Nos asignaron una habitacion con mucha humedad, incluso la pintura tenia una gran burbuja del agua que habia tenido acumulada. El olor era bastante fuerte. Fuimos inmediatamente a pedir que nos cambiaran, y fueron muy amables y nos ofrecieron alternativa. Pero si que creo que esa habitacion que nos dieron al inicio no estaba para ofrecerla. Agradecerles su rapida respuesta pero por favor para futuras ocasiones, da muy mala impresion entrar en una habitacion asi.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Hotel muy cómodo y a 20-30 minutos de los monumentos más conocidos de Paris (Torre Eiffel, Montmatre, Arc de Triomphe...). Atención exquisita del personal. A pocos minutos a pie de la estación Gare de l'est donde tienes varias opciones de bus, tren y metro. El desayuno completo. Las habitaciones modernas y cómodas muy bien equipadas. Entorno muy tranquilo. Una gran opción para alojarse en Paris.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Nous avons eu la chance d'être surclassé dans la chambre la plus grande de l'hôtel. Idéal pour passer un week-end ou une semaine pour visiter Paris. Les chambres sont très bien pour dormir. La salle de bain est très fonctionnelle mais si vous souhaitez de l'espace ce n'est pas un hôtel a préconiser. Le personnel était très gentil et a l'écoute. Nous avons pu aussi profiter du service de bagagerie et se promener dans Paris le dernier jours. L'emplacement est bien situé. La rue est calme et les fenêtres isolent très bien. Petit plus : Les prises de la chambre sont universelle.
Rien. L'hôtel répondait a nos attentes : pouvoir dormir dans une chambre confortable et profiter d'un petit déjeuner sucré salé en toutes simplicité.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Die Anbindung an die Metro war gut und trotz Nähe zum Bahnhof ruhige Gegend, Hotelgänge und Aufzug etwas eng für große Menschen, aber alles da, was man braucht, bequeme Matratze , gute Klimaanlage, vor allem im August dringend notwendig, nette Herren am Empfang wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen
