Hotel room is not clean at all, bedside lights bulbs are missing. The worst smells so bad. Also internet suddenly stopped working waiting technician to fix over 2 hours. Unfortunately so far not fixed. Never book this hotel at all.

Horrible, dirty linen with stains, hair on the sheets. Mold in the bathroom. I don't mind that it is old but cleanliness should still be a basic expectation. They also denied to refund the pay.

The room we were given was very disappointing. The moment we walked in, the air smelled stale and unpleasant. Although we stayed on the 17th floor, there was no natural light at all—our only view was of a parking area facing another building. The room itself was in poor condition and did not feel clean or well-maintained. We contacted management to request a better option since our stay was for 15 days. While they offered us a larger room, we did not move because it was in nearly the same condition, and the hassle of switching wasn’t worth it. The only positive aspect of this property is the friendly staff. Unfortunately, beyond that, I cannot recommend it and will not be staying here again.

The property and the rooms we booked were full of roaches and other bugs and bee bugs . The maintenance people knocked at our door at 11:30 pm twice one night and once the night after to check our sink or bathroom because they said the one room at our bottom has a leak in their ceiling no wonder our bathroom and the hallways there smell Like sewer . I asked for a refund and Expedia and the Malayan will not even give me credit or refund

Location is great. It’s close to malls which makes it convenient. People are helpful and friendly. We had internet issue on our 2nd week of stay but they were quick to respond. They have buffet breakfast as well with great options.

It was nice & smooth vacay i had fun went to the pool also nice. I will take my family again.

The bathroom toilet kept overflowing for three days. The maintenance man was unable to fix it. The room is very old with couch had tares in it. We moved to another room and the bedroom A/C unit never worked only blew hot air. Mantenance was me to fix. The sinks was very slow to drain. There were nats all over the bathroom. The hot water only lasted for maybe 2-3 minutes. There was supposed to be a microwave in the room but there was none. The elevators 3 out of 4 were broken for more than a day. The floor tiles in the room were old and cracked. The refrigerator did not work only slightly kept things like warm.

Alwsys good everytime we stayed at malayan for staycation. But i was bamout my daughter not included nomore for free breakfast because shes a little taller but its all good we have fun.

We went there early because parking was limited so we were able to secure a parking space. The room was a bit old but it was big, with a living room and a dining table and separate bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. Breakfast was included, but with limited selection but it was ok. Front desk staff and breakfast crew were all attentive and friendly. walking distance to coffee shops and fast food chains. Great location and value for money.

Very dated, the only nice thing about this property is its location. Lobby is better than discovery suites but the rooms are dingy with a musty smell. They offer cheaper rates but there are better places within the area. Consider other places if you want better value for money.

Property is dated and bed was uncomfortable for me. Price was reasonable, but you get what you pay for!

Very much enjoyed cooking in the kitchenette.

The facility needs upgrading and maintenance

Paid for 2 nights WITH breakfast. On the day before checkout, sira ang elevator and we couldn't even go to the 33rd floor. Had a flight to catch, muntik pa ma late. No apology nor offer to make up for the inconvenience from staff. Nakaka disappoint.

It is the dirtiest room I've ever checked in located in the heart of Ortigas District; we booked this hotel last June 2 to 6 2024. I was really dissatisfied by the room in which the towels are dirty, the curtains are full of dust and stains, the bed sheet are having a yellow stain on it. The tv is not updated no Netflix or online shows, still using the old sky cable channels and other channels are not working because the tv is not yet in HD. I would not hesitate to use the oven and the fridge so dirty and unhygienic. I called the front desk and request to change a room after 4 nights of staying the staff or the front desk of the hotel as if nothing happened, they didn't grant my request to change a room. So disappointed with this hotel the services and the cleanliness. The photo's they uploaded in the social media I can say it's good to be true. All I can say it's an old hotel after all.

Well I availed the studio superior on the website bed should be a queen size well I got a double sized bed, the room includes a mini fridge and a kitchen, there’s a stove no kitchen pots or a kettle to even boil a water for the coffee no coffee maker as well, what’s the sense of providing a mini kitchen if there are no kitchen utensils you can use, are the guest will be bringing it over during their stay? Extra pillows and blankets will incur additional fee, take note there’s no slippers and bathrobes in the room, hygiene kit only includes soap and shampoo bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. I’m so disappointed that we checked out around 5:30AM. Never going back to this hotel!

Location. Malls a block or two away. Plenty of eats. Plenty of banking options. Security and Staff are phenomenal. Excellent value for the price.

This property is poorly/badly maintained. When I checked in, you can smell sewage inside the elevator and there is even water(condensation) leaking inside the elevator unit. The room that I was put it the first time, has very nasty bathroom. The caulking is dirty and cracked, the floor is flooding with water from the shower and the shower valve is loose. On the kitchen, they provide a broken electric water pot patch with a tape. I requested to be transferred to another room that at first look nicer with nice looking bathroom. However, just the same, the caulking is dark dirty and has lots of mold. On the same night I transferred I got sick with cold and my family were coughing. Both rooms I’ve stayed has a porch that cannot be used because the area is so nasty with floors darkened by too much dust that is now like a dried mud and broken tiles and doors to the porch have broken handle and locks. Luckily, I was on 20th and up floor so I don’t worry about burglar barging in from the porch. Nonetheless, this property is poorly maintained and does not deserve to be rented. Regardless whether each unit on this property are owned by different owners, their management agreement should include that the management has the right to repair and remodel the units without the owners approval for it to be rented. Both Owners and management don’t have excuse in running a hotel / rental that is this badly maintained.

You get what you pay for. The hotel is oudated and lacking in many aspect. 1. During arrival, no assistance on luggages like other hotels. 2. The check in took so long to process no bell boy to help again. 3. Linen and beddings are old. Not so white. 4. Leather chairs are torn and outdated. 5. Toilet is not so clean per our room. 6. No parking slot. You have no choice but to pay parking. 7. Mold can be seen in chairs and some counter top. 8. There are creepy crawlies such as small cockroaches. Despite all that, the location is good because malls and restaurants are just around the corner. The price is at mid range but there are better within the area. If you are not picky and looking for mid range rate then it will suit your need.

The room pictures are outdated and do not reflect the current state of the rooms. The front desk staff was not helpful at all. However, the hotel 's location is great.

I got the room for a very affordable price and it is more than what I was expected. It is very spacious and very clean. And I like that the stuff are very nice and accommodating. They have many amenities that will make the stay at the hotel worth while.

This property is in a sad state. Many items missing from the room, air conditioning not working correctly, refrigerator missing freezer door, hot water kettle missing, plates and utensils missing, micriwave missing, safe missing, shower door missing, the list goes on.

I stayed in 4 different rooms here are just a few issues, shower door broken or missing on couple rooms, microwave missing, hot water kettle missing, Tv not working, air conditioner not working properly (2 rooms), friger broken ; missing kitchen utensils. Got charged for extra pillow, This list goes on and on. This property is run down,

We booked this as this is the last triple room that we can have at a short notice and since we are going to Megamall and SM East Ortigas. The hotel is very close, minutes walk to Podium and Megamall. We booked the studio room that has 3 single beds to accommodate me, my bf and my mom. it comes with free breakfast and access to pool. The buffet breakfast is at the 33rd floor, same floor as the pool and not to expect much, limited choices but it was good. There is no creamer for Coffee, only milk. I didn't like the bread and the fruit choices are limited. But overall, it was ok, average buffet. I think it's not really a hotel but a serviced apartment. It doesn't have in room dining, no kitchen to accommodate you except during breakfast buffet. There is free water and some toiletries but slippers are available upon request. We also had to call the reception to request for stirrer (not available) or spoon since they have free coffee in the room, which took sometime before they delivered. The aircon is okay, there is a veranda but you cannot open the access to it. Anyway, view is not so nice there so it's ok. We took time to dip in the pool after breakfast. It was ok, shower not ok though and since it was raining, I was kinda hesitant to go in, unsure if water is clean (it's an outdoor pool). in short, we didn't stay long and decided to just watch TV in our room. btw, make sure you are not dripping in the elevator or there will be extra charge. There is also surcharge for drinks and food beyond normal consumption. Location wise, yes it's good but there's a lot of room for improvement here.

Everything was good pleasant area to stay in

We rented three rooms. One of the rooms smelled bad and had half-dead huge cockroach just laying down there. In our main bedroom, there were 2 small cockroaches in the bathroom. The worst thing is not having complimentary parking though there were a lot of open spaces. They said that open spaces were for owners. If owners are renting their units, they should also offer their parking spaces as well. The rooms are overpriced for the condition and services offered by the hotel. Staff though are nice and the hotel buffet breakfast is good.

We really enjoyed our stay here in Malayan Plaza Hotel. The place is super nice if you want to take a break and spend quality time with your family. We had a very spacious room. My children had so much fun in the pool area because of the breathtaking and relaxing atmosphere in the place. Breakfast is good. All staffs are customer driven and they give us a good quality of service .Everything was just amazing!

deluxe triple twin bed room, spacious room, basic amenities present, service crews are very friendly especially during breakfast and check-in and check-out was quick. swimming pool view and lounge is nice. :) But the property looks old, the bathroom sink doesn't drain, we cannot adjust the cap cover on the sink drain. the aircon doesn't cool a lot.

It was a roof over our head but it's far from a 4-star hotel. Shower only stayed hot for maybe 3 minutes. Expect a 3-star hotel. The staff was very nice so it has that going for it.

Staff and introductions AWESOME. 1st room the AC over froze, but the room was nice. 2nd room 3 twin beds, we pushed together, but still overall nice. 2nd room no coffee maker. All (kitchenette) rooms should be uniformed with coffee maker, 1 pot, 1 pan and standard eating utinsels. Overall pretty good.

Pictures are deceiving, the room is dirty, bedcovers are very old looking, sofa was ripped, so disappointed, restaurant was close so you need to go outside to eat, complimentary parking is first come first serve, if full you will have to pay parking 20 pesos per hour, even if you have a room booked ☹️

The front desk area looks good and clean. But the room that I stayed is ok but not great, old appliances and furniture. Staff are ok.

Knowing this is an old hotel, maintaining it should be intentional. I hope that, Guest should not be misled for free parking, coz its not an issue, if we are informed up front, rather than given an excused that all free parking is used up.

The room i stayed in had a few items that need attention by their maintenance department such as loose shower valve cover plate on the wall that was about to fall off, no cabinet door pull under the lavatory, the open shelves of the vanity cabinet in bath was dusty, no bowls in kitchen, curtain was caught in the balcony door that you could not open, laminated wood floor has a lot of chipped edges, phone has a crumbling directory label

It’s a old building now but was all good , staff was great , very happy to stay again , I love the outdoor pool , the gym and the roof top garden

From Aida Misleading ad, there are pictures of Executive lounge, but is closed. Extra Pillows, blankets require extra fees. Blankets are old and appears reused and not washed

We vowed the 10 of us in our FAMILY up to our next generation and ancestry that we will never ever go back to this hotel again! This hotel despite being an old customer they wouldn't value you at all. They treated us rudely and shamed us and discriminated us for booking a 2 studio rooms and we we're supposed to celebrate there. So definitely we have visitors checking in with us but they would go home after. However you would know that they are just making up excuses so we would pay for an upgrade! That is fine but only if they treated us nicely! Imagine telling us to cancel our booking despite telling them that it is my mom's birthday?! Is that your best customer service orientation? My mom's birthday was ruined because of this property so please please avoid going here because they are so disrespectful!! They won't treat you nicely and would DISCRIMINATE YOU BIG TIME! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT RUINING YOUR EXPERIENCE, BUT JUST PAY! THE THING IS, NOTHING ABOUT HAVING NO VISITORS WERE POSTED IN THEIR WEBSITES OF SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS! THEY DON'T VALUE CUSTOMERS HERE.

Our staycation with my family always fun just hangingout like swiming to pol, the kids loved it and we gobout for dining its close by. We definitly come back again.

Never again! This so called hotel should close down for fumigation. Roaches are roaming the bathroom, kitchen, hallways. There are so many better options in Ortigas. Dont make the mistake we made booking for this dreadful place. No breakfast included in the rates. But then again the place is so filthy why would you want to eat their food.

Me and my team stayed at Malayan Plaza in Pasig Ortigas Center. First time to check in and I must say I will never stay there again and will not recommend. 1. My room was 1 bedroom suite. The air-condition was not working in the bedroom and I had it checked it went okay for few minutes and it went back to nothing. 2. The lights in the entire suite was super dim and dark. 3. The room of my other workmate was warm. Aircon didn't work even after checking. 4. I got stucked outside my room before check out my key card did not work. I went to the front desk and they said I was supposed to check out at 11am even if check out was 12 noon. It was before 12 and they already locked my room. After I checked out, I asked for the manager to understand. Unfortunately, the manager was very sarcastic and rude. He said I should have checked out at 11am. So I told him that when I checked in I was told that check out was 12 noon same as my other work mates they even got a reminder call that morning. The manager's response and acknowledgement sounded very sarcastic and I felt I was discriminated by him. Discriminated in the sense that I didn't matter despite the inconvenience. So I called him out after he walked out on me asking him "are you trying to be sarcastic?". His reply was "no but you were very angry" so I told him I am upset theres a difference. Then he responded okay on his rude and sarcastic tone. There was no empathy or apology on our conversation from him, not even after I called him out of his behavior towards me. Up until the time I decided to just walk away he never apologized. I traveled for Business with my team and this hotel is our company's partner. I expected better customer handling especially from a manager like him. I do not need any compensation I just need for him and the management to understand how service is important to their business. Also, I want for people to know so they will potentially look for other options.

Like- honesty of staff coz we left the charger upon check out and yet they called us to report that they found a black charger inside our room. Dislike- hotel is kinda old.

Cable is not working, request for extra towel comes with extra charge. No slippers available. No parking available - all are paid parking and worse, your slot will be at the bottom that might cause damage to your car. I will not recommend the hotel.

Yes, this hotel is very convenient. This is in the heart of Ortigas Center so it's near Mega Mall and Podium. Rooms are large. I booked for a deluxe room and they even upgraded me to Suite! I was impressed by the size of the room as it's like a 2 bedroom unit with walk-in closet and living room. Yes, that big! I looooved the bed. It's so comfy and fluffy. I just don't like the smell of the bathroom. It smells like old/drainage kind of smell. And also the wifi is weak. By the way, I forgot something in the fridge and they did not even tell me when I was still at the lobby. I would have rated this 5 stars if they did.

Good location near shopping malls, restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. Transportation is also accessible. Room aircon needs improvement. Good value for money for the room rate with breakfast.

Shower head was dirty and breakfast buffet doesn’t have much selection. Other than that, everything was good. Staff were pretty accommodating.

The location is very nice with a lot of malls in the vicinity as well as fast food and coffee shop. Their room is good as well, we got upgraded from a studio to a 1 bedroom with 3 beds which suited us since we were 3 adults and 2 kids. The girls from the reception were very accommodating and friendly. Their Breakfast lounge is okay too. Will be returning here again soon.

The rooms we had were very spacious and very comfortable, though the hallways does not air condition. The Breakfast buffet is good, the pool is okay as well. The Front desk staff is very accommodating the girl Ms. Aj who assisted us gave us a complimentary upgrade, she is very friendly and very jolly. The room attendant is very helpful.

I didn't expect much when our admin booked this place for our team strat planning. I was thinking - how could we all fit comfortably in a room? Boy, was I wrong. Check-in was uneventful. I checked in my bag earlier, and they didn't give me a hard time claiming it even when I lost the bag tag. The staff are helpful and courteous all throughout, from check-in to check out. The room was huge (we booked a 2-room suite), with a spacious living area where we were able to conduct our session comfortably (10-11 pax), two rooms that can accommodate 4 comfortably, and two baths (one had a bath tub). For the price, it was surprising. The place had plenty of electrical outlets and enough cutlery and utensils to survive an overnight stay. Yes, the furniture and overall look is dated. If you can get past that, go book a room. You won't regret it.

Nice hotel but rooms a bit basic but I was only there for two nights so not a problem. Good prices and good location. I found it a bit strange though that when I asked for my room to be cleaned I had to leave my room keys with reception . ?? Never had that before. Staff very friendly anyway.

The room was very spacious. The heat of the water in the shower was difficult to adjust.

The layout of the room was awkward to say the least it looks as if the room was purposed for something else. The bathroom was so small you couldn’t turn around it which made it very awkward to use. The staff was very mediocre with the exception of the doorman they were very good. I would not stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend anyone stay there.

The front staff could not accommodate English-speakers. Several requests that I made went unaddressed including issues regarding my WiFi (IT was suppose to contact me but never did) and having inadequate bathing items available. Only the front desk manager did a superlative job of taking care of any issues that arose (including an angry anti-American tenant who threatened me). The ground floor restroom was out of outdoor (which caused an unfortunate accident for myself). The room did not have dishes and utensils. There are more grievances but I think this is enough.

We had reasonable hotel expectations for a two week vacation, this hotel seemed to be decent value for its convenient location. I have a large family so I booked one of the quad bed suites. The room was okay, I did not expect the beds to be that small and the bathroom was a squeeze also. I tried to use the safe to store my passports but it just wouldnt work (error on the keypad). Breakfast was hit and miss, some days they served decent local dishes, I cant recommend booking your stay with breakfast but if you just want to have simple continental style food, go ahead. I want to give higher marks, but it just falls short in all aspects except for the staff - they are courteous and polite.

the malayan plaza staff are awesome - from the doorman, to the receptionists, and the buffet staff - everyone's so friendly and helpful. location is also great - so close to everything - shops, restaurants, malls, transportation. but if you are looking for comfort, this is not the place . the hotel needs major renovations. don't let the photos fool you . although the rooms are clean - it's so outdated. they can't even provide you with new towels. floors are also falling apart, i love to go back to this place coz its so convenient if you have to go places but until they renovate it, i'll probably look for a better one.

Older hotel. Wifi ok but not great. Shower very old and hot water lasts about 2 minutes. Toilet leaking water. Have to pay 1000 pesos per day for bond. So if you stay 5 days you have to pay 5000 pesos. It’s in the very small print. Ridiculous. You get it back upon checkout. Joke as money was needed elsewhere. Large room, okay bed, near shops. Helpful staff

Good value and conveniently located for Robinson & SM mega mall, also local metro station. Staff are excellent. Three minor moans, 1) if you go for breakfast after 0900 your choice of what to eat will be limited so get up! 2) if room 1908 is typical, then the internal decor is beginning to show its age 3) If you want utensils, don't assume that you will get what you expect. If you want two bowls, ask for them. None of these are deal breakers for me & I would happily stay here again.

The room is decently sized and clean, the free water inside the fridge was appreciated. I expected basic cookware to be provided (i.e. pans and pots at least) but there was none. The bathroom is horrible, it's tiny and the shower door looks like it might fall off every time you move it. My sister had planned on booking a room here but when i showed her the bathroom she immediately changed her mind. Improve your bathroom and you will get more people booking your rooms.

It looks like nobody is checking the conditions of the rooms and service. Started with a room with Lester leaks, ended up in a room with curtains not closing. All I got is I am sorry every time I talk to staff. The lights are dark. Can’t see yourself in the bathroom mirror. I just love the location. There are better hotels around the area at lesser rate. Towels are very old and are already grayish in color. Somebody needs to reevaluate their service and room conditon to be fair.

The Room is big the bed a bit hard breakfast is good. A good price as well sfaff is good and a few minutes walk to SM. Very convenient location.

I liked the hotel i enjoyed my stay i will comeback agin,even though i have one day scary experience somebody knocking and i try to open the door but im slow because of age so my grandson Russel his going to open the door,but before he open the door the person already open the door good thing we double lock the door inside and we asked him are you a cleaning person and he say no sorry im in a wrong room,what it could be it means everybody have thesame room key?so after that we guard ourselves after that,we didnt mention to the front desk i forgot to tell them.

Good accommodation for a short stay in metro Manila.

Bathroom was filthy. Bathroom tiles were broken. Curtain drapes does not close properlyand was dusty. They have to transfer us to another room after we complained. They don’t have quality control before they release the rooms to guests we would not stay there again
