Salles Hotel Aeroport de Girona vs Similar Hotels

Generally favourable: guests mention comfortable, spacious rooms and good bathrooms, though a few notes about damaged furnishings and poor views reduce the rating slightly.

Most rooms are comfortable but there were some issues mentioned.

Mixed mentions: many guests call the hotel clean and rooms tidy, but several reports note issues (dead flies on a wall, dusty air-con outlets, shower heads needing cleaning, and spa water not fully clean), so slightly below target.

Multiple reviews highlight cleanliness positively.

Consistently strong: repeatedly noted as ideally located for the airport (5 minutes), with a reliable free airport shuttle — a clear strength in the reviews.

Conveniently located near the AP7, making it a great stopover.

Mostly positive: numerous comments praise friendly, helpful staff and good shuttle/airport assistance; however a few guests report an arrogant/unfriendly receptionist and limited help with luggage, which tempers the score.

Staff is described as friendly and accommodating.

Generally positive: multiple guests praise the breakfast and good cuisine; drawbacks include a limited menu, occasional shortages (ran out of fruit) and some repetition in offerings.

Food quality is praised, albeit with a note on limited dinner options.

Good overall: pool, spa and sauna are praised repeatedly and guests enjoyed massages, but there are recurring issues (mandatory swim cap requirement and extra charge, some spa maintenance/cleanliness and broken functions) so amenities are good but not flawless.

Some amenities are lacking, such as an elevator.

Mixed/weak: positive mentions for breakfasts and overall offerings, but several strong complaints about extra charges (day-use fee, swim cap charge), perceived unfair fees and limited assistance make value appear below average.

Generally considered fair, though some meals were overpriced.
