Great and comfortable family hotel in a perfect location We recently stayed here with our family of four (two adults, two kids) and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and felt very comfortable after its recent renovations. The location is ideal for a family. You can walk right out into the Night Bazaar for food and souvenir shopping in the evening, which the kids loved. The old city is also very close by, so you never have to travel far with the children to see the sights. Our room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Everything was kept spotless. The breakfast buffet has a massive selection with plenty of options, so even picky eaters will find something they like. The staff was very welcoming and helpful toward families, making our stay very relaxed. Overall, a great, upscale, and centrally located hotel that is perfect for a family trip to Chiang Mai. Highly recommended!

Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel **Chiang Mai** **Absolutely Unprofessional — Reviews Deleted Without Justification** **Case / Reference No.: 1072797052** Dear Marriott Customer Care Team and General Manager Mr. Rajat Chatterjee, I am writing regarding an incident that occurred in Chiang Mai during my confirmed reservation. **Confirmation Number:** 70827800 I have been a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member since 2023 and currently hold **Gold Elite** status. My Marriott Bonvoy membership number is **#121435315**. Today, **August 10, 2026**, while at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, I experienced what I consider to be highly unprofessional and unacceptable conduct by hotel staff, particularly managers **Micky and Cartoon**. What began as a routine situation at the front desk unnecessarily escalated into a serious confrontation involving hotel security and ultimately resulted in the use of physical force. I am particularly concerned that, rather than handling the situation calmly and professionally, managers Micky and Cartoon allowed it to escalate. This is not the standard of treatment I expect from a Marriott hotel, particularly given my experience as a long-standing Marriott Bonvoy member. In addition, I believe that reviews I submitted regarding my experience were deleted or removed without a clear explanation or legitimate justification. I consider this handling of customer feedback highly concerning and request that Marriott investigate whether my reviews were improperly removed or suppressed. **Information for CCTV review:** **Date of incident:** August 10, 2026 **Approximate time the conflict began:** 7:20 PM **Location:** Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel I respectfully request that Marriott formally register this complaint and conduct a full and impartial investigation into the incident, including the handling and removal of my reviews. In particular, I request that the relevant CCTV footage be reviewed to establish an objective timeline of events and the actions of managers Micky and Cartoon, as well as the security personnel involved. I also request a review of the records relating to my submitted reviews, including the reason they were removed and the identity of the person or department responsible. I also request that Marriott **immediately preserve all relevant CCTV footage and any other records, reports, review-related data, or materials related to this incident**, so that they are not automatically deleted, overwritten, or otherwise lost before the investigation is completed

Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel — An Honest Review: I Would Not Recommend This Hotel Nearly three weeks have passed since the incident at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel reception on August 10. Since then, I have spent almost three weeks communicating with Marriott, with no meaningful resolution. The stress surrounding this situation has also affected my health, as I have Stage 1 hypertension. Instead of properly addressing the problem, the hotel appears to be avoiding it, while my reviews and comments about my experience have been removed. My TripAdvisor review was also removed. After almost three weeks, the result of my complaint through Marriott’s official channels is essentially zero. I have been a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member since 2023. Is this how Marriott treats and values the loyalty of members who have trusted the brand for years? Based on my personal experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.

Excellent service from the check-in process. The staff is polite and well-guided. I enjoyed my stay at Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel. The rooms are very spacious, modern and very clean. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel to everyone who visits Chiang Mai. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip.

The high floor rooms with lounge access are really wonderful. I would come again for that experience. I think we enjoyed it because it was low season, not too crowded, and we found quiet places to relax in the lounge with great views and enjoy the food and drinks. I really liked the bathroom, especially the bath tub. I also think the couch and table area was exactly what we needed to feel at home. The staff on this floor and the ground floor were really exceptional. They clearly pay attention to detail and greet everyone very kindly. I also personally love the breakfast and dinner main course options as well as the champagne and my husband liked the beer. The drawing/message on our mirror wishing us a "Happy Anniversary" as well as the good cheese cake were nice touches to our stay.

If you are Asian, you may find the beds too soft, and if you come from a Western country, you may find the cakes are not up to your standard.

Amazing service at check-in. Very respectful and knowledgeable staff. Well aware of Marriott loyalty tier eligibility and went out of the way to give us a pleasant experience. We had lovely view of the mountains. Location is next to a night market.

The hotel was roomy, the view was amazing, and the fitness center was spotless, complete with all the cardio equipment. The pool was fantastic, especially thanks to Arm, who was incredibly helpful.

Exec level top floor lounge & bar was FULL & busy including lots of children, which isn’t appropriate in our view. Hence disappointing& not the ‘exclusive’ adult retreat most are setup as !!

Hotel ( Chiang Mai Marriot) is pretty, well decorated, rooms are also newly decorated in fusion of modern and Thai. Spa was great. Zen atmosphere , beautifully designed with welcoming staff. Katay was amazing - I chose The Bliss which was combination of massage and hot stonez with aromatherapy oil of my choice. My daughters enjoyed their massages with Joan and Givg. As well. Thank you team!

Whenever I’m in Chiang Mai, I come to GAJ at Chiang Mai Marriott for breakfast almost every day. One of the things I especially appreciate is that breakfast is served until 11:00 a.m., which perfectly suits my daily routine, as I usually have my first meal between 11:00 a.m. and noon. The food is consistently fresh, with a great selection, and the atmosphere is always comfortable and welcoming. A special thank you to PLA, who is exceptionally attentive and thoughtful. PLA remembers my preferences, notices the small details, and always makes sure everything is taken care of without being intrusive. The convenient hours and PLA’s warm, professional service are the main reasons GAJ has become my regular breakfast place whenever I’m in Chiang Mai. Highly recommended!

Great hotel, very nice service. Good location just outside the old town. Clean and well sized rooms, we got three in the same floor as traveling with our teenagers. Also compliments for the spa! We had a facial and body massage with Zee and Jiab and they were absolutely amazing. Very professional.

At the days we were there and enjoying the swimming pool in the afternoon it was rather crowded with kids. Still good atmosphere and nice to spend some time at the pool house and read a book.

A Memorable Stay Experience at Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel I had the opportunity to experience a stay at Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel, and it became one of the most memorable parts of my Chiang Mai trip. I stayed in the Executive Suite, and I was impressed by the spacious layout, elegant design, and beautiful views overlooking Chiang Mai city. The separate bedroom and living area provided plenty of space to relax, and the large bathtub with a view was one of my favorite features of the room. The hotel also offers a wide range of facilities to enjoy throughout the stay. The outdoor swimming pool provides a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful views toward Doi Suthep, and the kids pool and Chang Kids Room make it a great choice for families traveling with children. I especially enjoyed visiting The Wang Bar, which offers a unique experience with a private golf simulator, karaoke room, outdoor terrace, and signature cocktails. It was a wonderful place to spend the evening after exploring Chiang Mai. What made the stay even more enjoyable was the thoughtful service from the staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making the entire experience comfortable and pleasant. My experience at Chiang Mai Marriott was absolutely spectacular!! The ambience was breathtaking. I enjoyed my bartenders at “The Gaj Bar” they were so sweet, attentive, welcoming and kind . Guy & Thee made my experience well over a 10/10. I didn’t have to tell them my order by day two , they were on it . I will be back for sure !!

The atmosphere is relaxing, stylish, and comfortable—ideal for enjoying a laid-back evening with friends or loved ones. One of the highlights is the 2-hour free-flow package (6:00–8:00 PM), which comes with delicious canapés, making it excellent value for a relaxing night out. The staffs (JJ, Few, Sky) are exceptionally attentive, friendly, and genuinely care about ensuring every guest has a great experience. We had a wonderful time at the Chiang Mai Marriott’s ground floor cafe. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed, but what truly made our visit stand out was the incredible service. It was so nice staying here.Both the food and the service was top tier. The waiters and waitresses were so helpful and kind, especially Balloon and Meena, they were both so kind. They work very efficiently while still being helpful and caring! It’s amazing! They explained different areas of cuisines and types of dishes there are, they made it very easy to understand. Plus, they both have excellent English! They asked us about our food and about our experience. They gave us such a pleasant experience and we are looking forward to stay here again. It was amazing!

Had a wonderful last night at Favola. I had gone with my parents and my teenage son and we are vegetarians. Great options there for us with amazing recommendations made by our server Mix. Food was wonderful and the desserts were also really nice. Everyone there was super kind. A great way to end our stay in Chiang Mai.

Very nice stay at the Marriott hotel. Clean room, comfortable and staff very attentive and helpful. Housekeeping was very good and addressed all our requests. Tv has lots of channels some in English. The fitness room is well equipped treadmills, bicycle free weights machines cables. and hidden away is a sauna. Area around has a night market in front of the hotel. Lots of restaurants in the area. However, it's bit pricey.

The service from the front door to the room is excellent. The staff gives extra care to each and every guest. Balloon gave extra care to my family during breakfast. She made every morning a special experience.

Great buffet in Chiangmai. Dinner buffet 's just on the 1st and 3rd friday of each month. Recommend to book in advance. Great service from K.Earth and K.Balloon.

Friday dinner buffet, Pla and Balloon was a excellent service and we enjoyed dining in here and the food is amazing and fresh.

This is a very decent property, but luxury it is not. The warm, likeable staff is a major positive. The M Club and its attentive staff are a big attribute. A major issue is the extremely slow internet which actually seems to quit entirely from time to time. The water temperature, even when carefully adjusted, changes in an instant to scalding or full cold. I thought perhaps this was limited to our room, but I encountered the same problem at the fitness center. While the M Club could be spectacular, it was often totally packed in the evening social hour. Could all those people possibly be guests? Regardless, hardly a calm atmosphere.

From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed, and after our first dinner, we knew we had to come back. We chose different dishes each night so we could experience more of the menu, and every single dish was exceptional. The food was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and consistently outstanding. Combined with the elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, each dinner was a memorable experience. What truly made our visits special, though, was the outstanding service from Grape, LPap, Pat, and Ninggle. Their kindness, warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. They went above and beyond to ensure every part of our dining experience was perfect, and their friendly smiles made each visit even more enjoyable. It's rare to find a restaurant where both the cuisine and the service are equally exceptional, but Favola delivered on both. Thank you to the entire team and especially Grape, LPap, Pat, and Ninggle for making our stay in Chiang Mai even more memorable. We look forward to returning the next time we're in town!

We brought the kids to Chiang Mai and stayed at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel for three days. The facilities here are excellent and the children had a wonderful time, especially with the kids' playroom and the children's swimming pool. Before leaving, we visited the spa and met a therapist named Yui. The Thai massage was fantastic with very firm, solid pressure. I highly recommend them to everyone!

I cannot think of enough positive things to say about Chiang Mai Marriott. This is my 3rd or 4th time staying here - but first since it was changed from Le Meridien to Marriott and had a massive renovation post-COVID. I love that the leisure facilities have improved substantially, though satisfactory in the past, they have now included a small children's water play area with a medium-sized water slide and a substantial fitness centre - very well equipped. The service from the staff members is simply outstanding. The proactiveness from the front desk staff, especially Mook - who asked whether my mum with a walking stick would require a shower chair in the room and gave an excellent recommendation for lunch - made a lasting impression for me. The rest of the staff were all outstanding as well... all the food and beverage outlets as well as the concierge. Favola - one of the reasons I chose this hotel. An exceptional Italian restaurant with phenomenal flavours at a relatively reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was practically endless and of good quality, however a small let down was that the Chiang Rai property offered freshly squeezed juice but here they offered concentrate. That being said, barista-made coffee was available and proactively offered by the staff. The pastries - especially the croissants - were phenomenal. We took a few home! The room was very comfortable, well-equipped and modern and I'm very glad that they retained the large built-in sofa next to the window frame. The shower pressure was really good! Overall, I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel and I don't know what other hotel I should go to when I return to Chiang Mai city again.

We were so impressed starting from the pick up by Bell Officer named Khun Lek. He was so helpful and recommended great information. Checked in with friendly Front officer Khun PEA, tried to check my membership number coz I was in United States and stayed at Marriott from time to time. He could find and gave us warm gesture of welcome. Vibe and ambience are is such a difference comparing to my last stay four or five years ago. Quality of service is indeed impeccable. We have good breakfast impression from variety of food choices. More so, we had great service from Khun Tik, supervisor of breakfast room with help from Khun Balloon and Khun Nicha. We can’t agree more with several great comments reviewed from other guests. No wonder , we will visit and stay again in this great facilities and hospitality of Marriot Chiangmai. You really raise the bar of Chiangmai Hotels with spectacular service from your great team. Salute and appreciate the management team to incubate this ecosystem.

My stay at the Chiang Mai Marriott has been one of the finest hotel experiences I have had anywhere in the world. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite member, I spend a significant number of nights in hotels each year, and this property stands out because of its people. I would especially like to recognize Hannah, Assistant Director of Rooms, whose kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made my stay particularly memorable. She was always approachable, helpful, and dedicated to ensuring guests had the best possible experience. Hannah exemplifies the culture of service that makes this hotel special. From the front desk and concierge team to housekeeping, the M Club associates, restaurant staff, and management team, every interaction was warm, professional, and guest-focused. The M Club on the 21st floor deserves special recognition. It is exceptionally well stocked, impeccably maintained, and staffed by a team that consistently makes guests feel welcome. The atmosphere feels more like a private club than a hotel lounge. Breakfast each morning was excellent. The food was fresh and high quality, and the made-to-order egg station was outstanding. The entire breakfast team did a remarkable job throughout my stay. Housekeeping was equally impressive. I would especially like to recognize Ning, who serviced my room during my stay. My suite was spotless every day and often looked as though I had just checked into a brand-new room. The evening turndown service and attention to detail reflected true five-star hospitality. The front desk and concierge teams consistently went above and beyond, whether assisting with local recommendations, transportation, or guest requests. There are several associates whose names I unfortunately did not record, and I hesitate to mention only a few because so many contributed to making this stay memorable. This review is intended as recognition for the entire team. I am leaving Chiang Mai to spend my final days in Thailand at the beach, but I do so reluctantly. If I return to Chiang Mai, there is no question where I will stay. The Chiang Mai Marriott has earned my highest recommendation and my sincere appreciation for an outstanding experience.

The location was excellent, right by the Chiang Mai night bizarre. The breakfast was great and had a lot of variety both Thai and western.

It is too standardized kind of beige and grey. The snacks were too expensive. The fancy shower actually did not work well. There was a stain in the sheets but the hotel came and changed them immediately upon notifying them then gave us free breakfast. I had requested a room that was on one of the top floors and although they admitted their occupancy was low, they basically ignored my request and put us in the 7th floor. There was also a little trick she played to say if I wanted a mountain facing room m, the price would be higher. Seems kind of bait and switch. I will never stay there again.

We had the pleasure of having a 10 night stay at the Marriott Chiang Mai in room 2030. The Marriott is a BEAUTIFUL hotel in a brilliant location. There are so many options and activities right at the doorstep and so many options in the hotel itself! As wonderful as the hotel is, the staff are the stars!! We were met at the airport by the delightful Mr Not and the very dapper driver Mr P. Such a lovely introduction to Chiang Mai. Mr Not is a wealth of information and always a pleasure to run into. The reception and staff at the front of house we ran into daily on our comings and goings are all so warm and engaging. Shout out to Lek and Ton! The gentlemen at the door are always warm and cheerful. It was a pleasure to return after our daily excursions. We spent many evenings in M Club. Great drinks, fantastic views and tasty delights. Above all the staff are incredible. They work very hard casting an eye over all the guests, meeting everyone’s needs and always with a generous smile. Special mention to the very lovely ladies KT and Yeen! Thank you! Pea in the main breakfast room is always enthusiastic and lovely. Also a big thank you to the lovely Meena. Pla is sensational! She had such a great memory for our coffee orders even though breakfast was very busy. She is engaging, warm and clearly loves her job. We really enjoyed seeing her in the mornings. We had some lovely snacks with Few in Plaii who was so sweet! Also, do not miss Plaii! It’s such a nice little spot. Do not miss the pool bar! Even on a rainy day it’s such a great spot with its indoor, outdoor vibe. The staff are great, drinks delicious and view spectacular! A big shoutout to Job at Gaj bar. He’s such a lovely young man and a very talented mixologist! It’s a pleasure watching him work. He’s very engaging, warm, helpful and kind. He very generously shared his birthday cake with us. We wish him good fortune! He has a very bright future ahead! We had 2 incredible dinners at Han Chinese restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing! Big shoutout to Top and I-Tim. I-Tim was amazing! He is so warm, funny and lovely, it made a wonderful dinner even better! I must also thank the wonderful staff who kept our room fresh. It was always spotless and we even had the treat of some towel animals! I didn’t catch the names of the lovely ladies we often ran into in the hallway but they were always so sweet and did an amazing job at keeping our space beautiful and fresh. We cannot forget to mention the wonderful Yui & Katay at the Spa which is an absolute MUST! The service is exceptional and the ladies have healing hands. We did in fact return. I had the incredible Zee work her magic on all my aches and pains! She was AMAZING! Thank you so much! There are so many others who made our stay great, I couldn’t possibly mention them all. The staff are a credit to Marriott. The hotel itself is simply stunning! The room was generous and welcoming and the food across the restaurants were sensational! We highly recommend Marriott Chiang Mai. Thank you to everyone for making our stay such a memorable one!

The hotel has provided all of the best services and facilities , great services from all of the staffs, and close to everything. I do love the bar at the ground floor, the staff name “ Fourth” was one of the best bartender in Chiang Mai.

I was on a business trip to Chiang Mai and stayed at this hotel. The location and facilities were 5/5. A truly beautiful hotel with wonderful rooms and a location right in the city center. As for the service, I’d give it a 6 out of 5. A special thanks to the receptionist, Pea, who was always there to help me whenever I needed it. I hope I get to travel here again someday! I highly recommend it!

The Marriott Hotel was a perfect place to stay on our Chiang Mai leg of our Thailand trip. We stayed there for four nights and a Grab into the old city was only about 5-12 minutes long. The hotel is also perfectly located near a night market where you’ll be able to try a variety of foods; I also really enjoyed the welcome gift of assorted Thai fruits. The atmosphere of the lobby is incredibly clean and well decorated with assorted elephants and other Thai cultural items. They even had a live instrumentalist one morning. Our room was incredibly clean and well maintained for the value, and despite being a few rooms away from the elevators, it is a pretty quiet room. Our favorite aspect of this hotel was probably the massage and the pool with an amazing view. Zee was the massage therapist for my husband, and he said it might been his best one ever! Katay did an excellent job focusing on my problem areas, to the point where I dozed off because I was so relaxed. The Chiang Mai Marriott hotel went above and beyond my expectations for our trip to Chiang Mai, and I would recommend it for anyone!

This is our preferred hotel in Chiang Mai. The location is good, clean, great services, delicious sumptuous breakfast, very friendly staff, lovely swimming pool with view and safe. Night markets just within few steps away and also walking distance to the old town of Chiang Mai within 15-20 minutes. The spa is an absolute must try! My therapist Khun Yui was very good indeed. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel for two weeks. We had previously stayed here seven years ago when it was the Le Méridien, and we were delighted to see how beautifully the interiors have been transformed into a more luxurious and elegant space since becoming the Marriott. We have stayed at many hotels around the world, and the warmth, kindness, and genuine smiles of the staff at this hotel made a lasting impression on us. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming throughout our stay. We would like to thank the front desk team, Club Lounge team, housekeeping staff, and breakfast staff for their outstanding service. A special thank you to Pla in the breakfast restaurant, who always greeted us warmly and made our mornings more enjoyable with friendly conversations. Although we do not know all of their names, we would also like to express our gratitude to the many wonderful staff members whose kindness, smiles, and thoughtful service made our stay so memorable. The Club Lounge was one of our favorite places in the hotel, and we spent many hours there during our stay. The high ceilings, open atmosphere, and beautiful views made it a particularly comfortable and relaxing environment. The location is excellent. Nearby markets and attractions are within walking distance, and it is easy to reach anywhere in Chiang Mai by taxi. Our room was always clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and even during our extended stay, we found it consistently enjoyable and satisfying. My husband loved the hotel so much that he wished we could stay even longer, and of course, I felt the same way. We will certainly be back. good workout experience overall, best staff in Chingmai 5 stat hotel. We stay in intercontinental , come here to workout because we like the vibe here , the staff is very helpful. 10 stars goes for Yam the staff at fitness center, very friendly , fluent in English and attentive to help us navigate the gym.
