A few comments: 1. The property is elegant and well maintained. But it’s not new, for example, the carpet in the room is old, the bed mattress and the blanket is not new m. But I know they are doing some renovations right now. 2. The service overall is good. But there was one day, I put the house keeping request sign on the door, but did not get the house keeping service until night I came back. For a 5 stars hotel, this is unacceptable. 3. I booked a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony, which is the reason I choose this place. However, it was actually a bathtub without massage function, because the remote is missing. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed this hotel, including, super convenient location, unique view, and good breakfast buffet options.

A rather dated hotel as is visible from the lifts and certain parts of the room. My party had 2 rooms and our room on the highest floor has rather warm during the day despite it being winter as it seems the A/C cant be set to cooling mode during the winter but our other room (and majority of others) would not have this issue i assume. Room was on the older side, furniture wise, and also rather dim in terms of lighting. Location was great though; near a very decent mall, as well as the pier offering good views of the city lights and some food options at night Breakfast spread was a tad better than average, though the lounge offerings were on the weaker side. Service from the hotel staff was great though, with the staff very kindly accommodating requests for a take-away breakfast. Overall, I would still consider this a good stay for the price

Qingdao, located in Shandong Province, is a coastal city situated on the edge of the East China Sea. It is renowned for its rich seafood offerings, German colonial influence, and Taoist culture, and is home to the Tsingtao Beer Company. Qingdao is one of Shandong's most popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors with its unique blend of Eurasian architecture, Shandong cuisine, and beautiful coastal scenery. During the non-peak tourism season, Qingdao offers a large number of low-priced 5-star hotels, even those located along the coastline. One such hotel is the InterContinental Qingdao, situated beside the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center. This luxury hotel is owned by the local Haier Company and the Qingdao Tourism Board. It opened in 2008 for the Beijing Summer Olympics and underwent renovations in 2014. The hotel consists of two sets of twin towers, featuring 410 rooms and suites, an indoor pool, a fitness and spa center, multiple event spaces, as well as several on-site restaurants, lounges, and bars. As someone who has frequently visited many InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, I was eager to see what the Qingdao InterContinental had to offer and how its pricing and quality compared to other hotels. With a very low starting price of ¥507 RMB (approximately $70 USD) or an incredibly low 9,000 IHG One Rewards points, I decided to explore this option. Additionally, I wanted to take a short holiday before the Chinese New Year break, and Qingdao was my chosen destination for the two nights I would be there. Given the low rate, my overall expectations for the hotel were not very high. With that said, here is my review of the InterContinental Qingdao Hotel: Pre-Arrival: I booked a stay at the InterContinental Qingdao for a total of 19,000 IHG One Rewards points for two nights, from January 19th to 21st, 2025. This is the lowest redemption rate I have ever experienced for an InterContinental property. To put that into perspective, a reward night at a basic Holiday Inn Express in Guangzhou costs 10,000 points per night, which is the same price as one night at the much more luxurious InterContinental Qingdao. For my stay, the first night only required 9,000 points, while the second-night cost 10,000 points. Initially, I booked the 1 King Classic City View Room, but thanks to my IHG Diamond Ambassador Membership, I was upgraded to the 1 King Classic Ocean View Club Lounge Access Room. However, unlike the usual protocol, the hotel did not make a pre-arrival call to me, which is customary for IHG Elite Members at InterContinental Hotels in China. Arrival: After an almost 12-hour overnight train journey from Shanghai to Qingdao's North Station, I took a taxi directly to the hotel for an early check-in at 10 AM. Upon entering through the revolving doors, I was warmly welcomed by the reception staff, who directed me to the lobby counters for check-in. There, I was assisted by Guest Relations Officer Miya Ai, who recognized my membership and processed my check-in quickly. I received my IHG wooden key card, along with a membership drink voucher and a 20% discount voucher for the hotel’s spa. Room: My initial 1 King Classic Ocean View Room has a total space of approximately 400 square feet and includes a bedroom, bathroom, and closet. The main highlight of the room is the stunning view of the CBD skyline, the Olympic Sailing Plaza, and the East China Sea. While the design of the room is appealing, it is showing signs of age, having not undergone a full renovation in nearly 11 years. As a result, the room has experienced considerable wear and tear, making maintenance challenging for the housekeeping staff. During my stay, I noticed a few minor issues that needed attention, such as a single hair found in the blanket and some missed spots in the bathtub. Meeting Frank: I contacted the Instant Service Center by phone, and Duty Manager Frank Liu promptly came to my room to assess the situation. He documented everything and immediately upgraded my room to the 1 King Junior Suite Ocean View. Frank was just the first of many hotel staff members I would meet during my two-night stay. As a native of Qingdao, Frank guided me throughout my experience at the hotel and introduced a nearby local mall. He even accommodated my request for a tour, which included the Presidential Suite, Specialty Suite, 1 King Premium Balcony Room, Club Lounge, Tianxiayipin Chinese Restaurant, and Flavors All-Day Dining Restaurant. Additionally, Frank arranged a reservation for my dinner at Flavors on my first night. Throughout my time in Qingdao, Frank proved to be an exceptional Duty Manager! Upgraded Room: I stayed in the 1 King Junior Suite 1218 at 57 SQM, which is approximately 600 square feet. The suite includes a separate living room with a comfortable couch, rustic lighting, and an additional Haier flatscreen TV. It offers a stunning view of the Qingdao Ocean and the skyline. The bathroom is significantly larger than the one in the 1 King Classic Room, featuring a spacious layout with a rainforest shower, a soaking bathtub, a toilet, and a vanity sink. The bedroom boasts a king-sized bed, bedside lighting controls, a work desk, and unique touches such as a wireless charging port, seaside-inspired interior walls, and artwork. Every evening, turndown service is provided, along with a Membership Welcome Fruit Plate. Club InterContinental: One of the perks of being a loyal member of the InterContinental Hotel is the opportunity to use a milestone annual lounge membership card, which grants access to the Club InterContinental Lounge on the 21st floor. Due to the low season, the hotel has changed the lounge’s operating hours from a full-day service to a half-day service, now open from 1 PM to 9:30 PM. Guests can enjoy Afternoon Tea and Happy Hour services during these hours. The Club InterContinental overlooks the Qingdao coastline and skyline and features a variety of seating options, a buffet area, an entertainment room, a library, a meeting room, and restroom facilities. However, the experience can be somewhat inconvenient due to the elevator system, which requires a transfer on the 20th floor before reaching the 21st floor. Afternoon Tea offers a selection of cakes, mini-sandwiches, a fried snack from Northern China, fruits, and juices, including fresh orange juice. Guests can also order a pot of local Laoshan tea, a specialty of Qingdao. The Evening Happy Hour features a mini dinner buffet, tapas-style dishes served to guests and cocktail service. The club staff successfully made the Zurita Tonic, a Ginger Ale drink that I challenge all club lounges to prepare. Though some adjustments to the service can be made, I have communicated all suggestions to the staff. A major highlight of the experience is watching the Qingdao City Light Show from the Club Lounge! Food & Beverage Experience: I had the opportunity to explore both of the hotel-operated restaurants to evaluate the dining experience. Flavors Restaurant: At the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, Flavors, located on the 3rd floor, I sampled both the dinner and breakfast buffets. While the restaurant features an older interior design, the atmosphere, enhanced by its lighting and decorations, made for a pleasant dining experience. Dinner Buffet: The hotel offered a Chinese New Year promotion, allowing guests to pay ¥179 RMB ($25) for admission to either the lunch or dinner buffet. The buffet included a selection of Chinese hot pot, Chinese barbecue, a noodle station, various Chinese dishes, a selection of Western foods, sushi and sashimi, and a wide range of desserts. However, I found the dinner buffet somewhat disappointing, as many of the hot dishes had already cooled down. I also felt that the variety of food could have been better. That said, given the affordable price for a buffet, I believe it’s worth it if you enjoy the dishes they offer. Meeting Cherry: I reached out to Duty Manager Frank about the issues I encountered at the dinner buffet. In response, the Food & Beverage Manager, Cherry Chen, met with me at my table to gather my feedback. To explore ways to improve the dinner buffet, Cherry accepted my photos of the impressive dinner buffet from the Ningbo InterContinental Hotel, which also has a low price point. After listening to my suggestions, Cherry generously offered to make my admission to the buffet complimentary. Thank you, Cherry! Breakfast Buffet: Not all was lost at Flavors Restaurant, as the breakfast buffet exceeded my expectations compared to the dinner buffet. It featured an array of selections, including bakery items, salads, fruits, Western dishes, Chinese dishes, and noodles. I was served by Food & Beverage Supervisor Vita Xia, who offered me exclusive items for select members, such as Qingdao local pork chicharron and fresh juice. I particularly enjoyed several Northern Chinese specialties, including pork dumplings and Northern-style pickles with rice porridge, as well as other items I hadn't encountered in any other InterContinental hotel. Meeting David: During my visit, I also had the opportunity to meet the Food & Beverage Director and Qingdao native, David Qi. David noted the feedback I provided to Cherry, and I shared additional ideas for enhancing the breakfast buffet. As a local, he also provided insights about activities for my second day in this beautiful town, recommending a visit to the Golden Beach in Huangdao. Tianxiayipin Chinese Restaurant: On my final evening in Qingdao, I enjoyed a curated meal prepared by Cherry, David, and the head chef at Tianxiayipin Chinese Restaurant. This restaurant, located on the 2nd floor, features a traditional Shandong-style ambiance with wooden seating, stone-marble floors, and Northern Chinese decor. The menu includes a variety of Shandong cuisine, along with elements from Huaiyang and Beijing cuisine, emphasizing local seafood since Qingdao's cuisine heavily relies on it. David introduced me to the attentive restaurant staff and some of the dishes he had planned for me to try. With a budget of 200 RMB ($27 USD), the restaurant served me the following dishes: - Boiled octopus with pickled cucumbers - Braised Jiaodong cabbage with sea shrimp - Stir-fried red island clams - Crispy fried flatfish - Qingdao stir-fried egg noodle soup - Fresh fruit plate Additionally, David encouraged me to try a Sichuan-style dish comprising pork blood, tripe, and spam cooked in an intensely spicy chili oil, accompanied by an array of chilies. I must admit, the spice level was overwhelming, and I do not have a palate accustomed to such heat. Nevertheless, the rest of the dishes were well-prepared and offered me valuable insights into Qingdao's culinary delights. Other Facilities: There were other features of the hotel that I tried. One of them was the swimming pool, which was a refreshing lap pool to cool off and exercise. The changing room has seen its age, but it was at least mostly clean and easy to use. I also got to see the Lobby Lounge and Spring Lounge, which were nice places to relax and have afternoon tea. The location of the hotel is conveniently close to the Olympics Sailing Center where you can walk along the harbour that overlooks the city! There is no shortage of malls around the area such as the Hisense Mall and Marina City. The Need For A Renovation: The overall theme that I got from the hotel was that given that 2014 was the last time the hotel received an extensive renovation, the hotel certainly can use another renovation to refresh all the hardware. I feel that the hotel can find better success once the renovation has been completed. Meeting Mona: During my time at the Club Lounge, I spoke with Mona Yin, the Assistant Front Office Manager and a native of Qingdao, about my experience at the hotel. To my surprise, I learned that the position of Front Office Manager is currently vacant. I shared some suggestions I had regarding the rooms and the club lounge with Mona. She informed me that there are plans to renovate the hotel starting this year. This news was relieving, as I had some concerns about the condition of the hotel's facilities. It’s encouraging to know that the hotel intends to update much of its outdated interior design, aiming to transform the Qingdao InterContinental into a more modern space. My Departure: It was time to say goodbye to the City of Qingdao, and with that, I had to bid farewell to the Qingdao InterContinental. During my stay, I met the Duty Manager, Heidi Hu, who took the time to hear my final thoughts about the hotel before I left. Feeling happy and satisfied with my experience, I departed the hotel, saying goodbye to both Heidi and Cherry one last time before embarking on my long journey home. Before I left, I received one final thoughtful gesture: Mona, knowing that I had a five-hour train ride ahead of me back to Shanghai, prepared a packed meal for me. It included a Club Sandwich, fries, fruit, pastries, and a bottle of Laoshan sparkling water. This incredibly kind gesture left me feeling grateful for the remarkable hospitality I had experienced. Additionally, Mona wished to give me a souvenir from the hotel but was unable to be there at check-out. As a result, she called me while I was at the Qingdao North Station to ensure I was there and to ask for my address so that she could send the souvenir to me. Mona also promised to notify me when the renovations are completed and invited me back to see the hotel's upcoming new look! Conclusion: In conclusion, I initially had low expectations for the hotel due to its low room rates and the age of the facility. At this time of year, during the low travel season, this InterContinental Hotel offers the most affordable rates in the entire Greater China region. While my stay in Qingdao was not perfect, it remains one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had since I started visiting IHG Hotels. The hotel does have some areas for improvement, but I believe the issues that need addressing will be resolved with the ongoing renovations. I have provided valuable feedback to David, Cherry, and the Food & Beverage Team, and I am confident that the restaurant experience will improve significantly over time. The highlight of my stay was the service, as I benefited from a strong customer support network within the hotel. For the points I redeemed, my expectations were far exceeded. With that said, I look forward to returning once the renovated hotel reopens! Here is how I personally ranked this hotel amongst all the InterContinentals I have visited: #14 out of 28 for the Breakfast Buffet amongst InterContinentals Hotels in China. #14 out of 36 for the Club InterContinentals I have visited globally. #18 out of 42 Overall amongst all the InterContinentals I have visited!

Well located within the city center and marina sailing center. Staff is very friendly and service oriented. Large room with nice view. Good option when in Qingdao. Large breakfast selection and variety. Malls nearby and perfect for jogging around

Nice hotel, staff very attentive and helpful. points down because of the absolute turndown : the disgusting soiled couch in the room. Apparently attempts to clean it up were not that successful. nice city views , amazing lights in the evenings.

Tive problema com ar-condicionado. Não funcionava e estava muito calor. Enviaram ventiladores, mas não resolveu. Estava cansado do trabalho e dormi muito mal. Apenas resolveu no dia seguinte quando me trocaram de quarto. Fiquei com uma má impressão, mas pelo menos resolveram.

The hotel is well located near the Sailing Center, that was the reason for me to book it. The room I got smelled like cigarettes and was very hot 24’C. I requested another room explaining that I booked a non-smoking room and I need a room where AC is working properly and the temperature can go below 20’C. It took them more than an hour to confirm that they didn’t have that. I left.

Friendly staff and room was clean. 15 minutes walk to the nearest metro station. The only drawback is that there is no coffee shop at or near the hotel. Overall, it is a great hotel.

The hotel manager at front desk very very helpful for fixing up my room at once and very sincerely solve the problem of my room and arrange change for me as it is not easy as my rooms booked as connected rooms. Overall very satisfy with the service.

Club Access makes no sense here. "Cocktails with premium wines..." , well in reality no cocktails with a couple of primitive wines. Certain items are stocked out and there aren't even proper wine glasses. Very poor value. On a positive note, the sea view is nice but you can have it from your room. Then why will you pay for the club lounge?

First the positive: Location is actually quite nice. If you are in the Tower A you can enjoy Seaview and view over the former Olympic sailing center. Also the night view and light show of the skyline of Qingdao is quite nice.( who likes it) The service overall is quite good and the Executive lounge very enjoyable. Restaurants and Shopping Mall nearby. Subway station about a 15 min walk away. But: The whole room furniture need's to be scrapped and replaced,.as well the carpet and bathroom interior. Better the whole hotel must be refurbished fro the core. Also the cleanliness was awful. After arrival I found on the desk a sticky substance which was very disgusting.Everywhere stains on carpet and sofa. Strong smell in the bathroom. Overall not worth for the money. Only for the view and service....Never again.

Lovely hotel, smothering staff yet they don’t achieve making you welcome. Typical chinese hotel, the room was a sauna with no way to cool it. We were provided a fan, which, in the middle of the night, started to sound like a jet was landing. The next day we realised that it had a water facility that had dried up and there was no way to fill it. Major disappointment was the fact that every meal we had in the hotel was cold. When we requested the food be served hot, The waitress laughed. I suggested that we were paying for the food so we expected it to be edible. She said that she would pass the message on. But it came cold again. Much apologies, and then she didn’t charge for the meal, but then again, the next day everything was stone cold. It is as if it trades on its reputation, not on the actual service or pleasure of your stay.

The Club Lounge of the Intercontinental is very impressive. The sea view is really nice, especially during the night time. The employees there are very kind and helpful. Staff Aaron served very patiently.

Great hotel and very helpful staff especially thanks to Jeniffer Han who help us during the check-in process and welcomed us to Qingdao. Room is very comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast! Great location too hotel near the marina and surrounded by some great shopping malls.

i got the trip with my girlfriend, this hotel make me feel lot bit older than other IHG hotel, but it’s has the pretty good service from Allen and Iris of guest relation department, they show me how important of my stay experience for this hotel, I have to say that it’s a really goooooood idea for this hotel , the view of executive club also fantastic!!!!!!!!love here!!!!!!!!

Amazing stay! a fantastic breakfast!

The hotel itself was very nice and relaxing. It is in walking distance to the Olympic port. The sea view room was AWESOME! Even thou it was an awesome stay, I still have couple of things to say to people who have young child with them. Firstly, there were no metro station near the hotel, closest one will be about 1.3Km away. There is a bus stop just round the corner. Secondly, there is a helipad near the hotel at the port, you will still be able to hear helicopter landing and taking off, my son was so excited to see the helicopter he demands us to stay there again next time. (lol) Thirdly, There are not much tourist attractions around the hotel, you will either have to take a taxi (what we did) or take public transport, it takes around 30min to get to the city center. Overall, this was an awesome stay and I will not hesitate to book here again for my next trip to QingDao.

The hotel locates at a great place, on the sea shore in Qingdao downtown. The decoration of rooms are old and out of date, also the size of room is limited. Some rooms' view is good, which facing the sea, but generally just normal sea view. The service part is somewhat disappointing. when check in, the reception printed my Spire Ambassador benefits on a paper, which is nice, but I was told there is an identical copy on my room's desk and the reception refuse to give me her copy. But there is not actually in the room. Thus when I walked to Executive Lounge, I was told that I'm not granted access. And I have check the benefit policy and it is stated the Spire member will not be granted Executive Lounge access in Intercontinental hotels, which is also somewhat different in other Intercontinental hotels that I lived, but it fits the public policy. It is OK that the hotel controls how to benefit the members, but if a clear list is already printed and shown to me when check in, I don't understand why I wasn't receive it in person at the beginning but after humiliated at Executive Lounge entry. So I have to place this hotel as my last choice in Qingdao, and fortunately there are many alternatives surrounding.

In time of Covid-19 you would expect a better attention on cleanliness. Moldy shower, stained carpet, sofa and bed head, obsolete furniture. Even in the elevator there was a tag about cleaning every hour, but the big hand sanitizer was empty, that shows the ridiculous and fake promise of cleaning every hour. The most disappointing part was the night I tried to drink a cocktail at the bar at rooftop. Me and my girlfriend were rudely approached by the two ladies at the hostess desk, they were removed from their lazyness on mobile and had to attend us, so the tone was very offset. We being asked if we purchased a voucher, and we were surprised to hear, as nobody in the hotel told us about it. Once agreed on buy it, we understood that only limited cocktails and drinks were to be consumed with it, I asked if could change for a negroni, but got declined. So, I went to the bar for a classic cocktail, but couldn't get it and have been treated as an outside bugger!!! I went to complain to duty manager and he laughed on my face, shrugging shoulders and saying it was not hotel fault as the bar is managed by third party company, I told I was a guest and he still laughed at me, ASHAMING. Ridiculous hotel with shameful costumer service and pathetic hygiene standards

Excellent location with good hygiene concept - unfortunately, some basic / standard processes did not work out very well during my stay including eg check-in and check-out times too long, order process / follow-up in breakfast facility, ageing of room not as in line with expectations

Very warm welcome whilst arrival and reception friendly to complete the check-in to make us get into the room easily. Splendid view and non-compromised food; the GRO/Jessica offered us the superb service and carefully look after our living & demands. We decided to spend our last night here on our own after the end of our Shandong tour. We wanted to stay near the May 4th Square and this was our choice. Wise decision on our part. We have stayed in many IHG hotels which we enjoyed and this was no exception. We were lucky that our room had a partial view of the oceanfront which made it even more special. Breakfast was on our own which turned out to be good. The walk from the hotel to the Haisense Mall and the May 4th Square was manageable even for us. Everything was sparkling clean and well-appointed. Would love to go back someday.

Staff at this hotel - and I mean all staff, from the amiable and highly professional General Manager to every other manager, the chamber maids, restaurant and club lounge staff and porters, leave no stone unturned to anticipate guest preferences and provide excellent service. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Warm and caring hospitality that goes beyond expectation.

This hotel has a great location, a great view of Qingdao CBD area and marina view. If you stay in a sea view room in Tower C, you can enjoy all of the beautiful sights in your room. But, another thing such as breakfast. It was awful! It was very, very hard for me to find something that I can eat during breakfast time. Nothing in the restaurant was hot, even the omelette that I ordered from the chef. It took me around 20 minutes to get my omelette! And finally, a nice gentleman from the coffee station helped me to find my omelette from the live cooking station. Without help from that nice gentleman, I have no idea if I could eat my omelette at that time or not. No surprised the omelette was already cold. And, by the way, they are not serving yoghurt anymore. OMG, THAT IS AN INTERCONTINENTAL. Even Holiday Inn Express has the yoghurt during breakfast! And the breakfast in Holiday Inn Express is free for every customer! It is time to do some change in the kitchen, and also the person who in charge of the Food&Beverage department, this person should be fired right away. This person has no idea how to manage an all-day dining restaurant. And this person has no idea how breakfast should be like in an InterContinental hotel.

지하철역과 까르푸에서는 도보로 약 15분~20분 정도 걸렸습니다. 조용한 곳에 위치해있고 야경이 아주 멋진 곳이어서 좋았습니다. 직원들이 전부 친절하였습니다.

It is probably the worst Intercontinental hotel i have ever stayed in terms of room condition. Room deco worn out, water taps and shower were bad.....a classic over-rated hotel in china.

깨끗하고 좋았어요 조식을 중요하게 생각하는데 조식은 크라운 프라자 호텔이 더 낫습니다. 침대는 폭신폭신하고 침구 깨끗해서 묵는 동안 편안하게 잘 지냈습니다. 비슷한 급 호텔중에서는 조금 비싼듯합니다.

Checked into a smoking room. Room was dated & furniture old. Floor condition bad with loose tiles. Location is good and easy to get taxi. Walking distance to Sailing Club where view and food were great. Staff friendly and efficient

チェックインを担当した女性が、失礼だった。 この女性、英語の発音が悪く聞きづらかったのだけれど、会話が成立しないのがあたかも私の英語力のような言われ方をした。 また、Wifiは弱いです。

办理入住花时半个小时以上，预定的房间也没有准备好。前台业务太不熟练了，房间也准备不到位。导致随同的客户等待许久，太不到位了。配不上该有的酒店等级。商务差旅选择时请慎重这家。

킹사이즈침대를 예약했는데, 싱글2개 방으로 변경됨, 사유나 변경을 요구했으나 안됨.

Établissement de très bonne facture avec un rapport entre la qualité et le prix exceptionnel. Petit déjeuner fourni et international. Chambre un peu old dated mais propre spacieuse. Literie excellente.

청도와 거리가 멀고, 주변편의 시설 이용이 힘듦.멀어서.

浴室の床が少し汚れていた、空調もコントロールがうまく出来なかった。 トイレもできればウオシュレットに成っていればよかったな～ 日本語のできるフロントの人がもう少しいればいいですね。

오전 외출 후 들어왔더니 청소를 안해놨더라구요 ㅜ 참........ 다시 요청후 ... 치운다더니 쓰레기통만 비우고 수건이랑 세면도구만 간신히 재셋팅 되었네요.. 너무하다 생각이 드는건 체크인 하는날 외출시간까지 말하고 청소 부탁 해놓았는데도 말이죠.. 아무리 5성급이라지만 여긴 다시는 이용 안할거 같습니다

Nice Hotel have stayed 3 times would be happy to stay again

We stay here sometimes and usually book a Club room with lounge access. We don't expect the food in the lounge to be some kind of five star Michelin buffet. But this weekend the quality of the food was way below acceptable. The crackers for the cheese were soggy. The food that should have been hot was cold. When the food ran out, the refills were slow to happen. And the selection was poor compared to previous stays. It was definitely not worth the extra money we spent for lounge access. Another problem we had was with our baby food. Our baby is still young and has allergies, so we brought her food from home and asked them to heat it up for us when we were dining in the lounge. It was brought back stone cold. Then my husband took it all the way down to the front desk and asked them for help. One of the women took him to one of the hotel restaurants. Then one of the restaurant workers yelled at her in Chinese. They had a very obvious spat in front of him. Then the women finally takes my husband into the kitchens. She leaves him there to wait for the food to get warmed up and disappears without a word, so my husband has to find his own way out of the maze. This whole process took almost half an hour, which cut into our dinner time at the lounge. One of the managers asked us the next day how our stay was, but we were trying to check out and had a baby to wrangle, so I did not give her the full story. I hope our stay was an anomaly. We may give them one more chance.

マリーナのすぐ近くなので眺めも良くて、ホテルと部屋もさすがインターコンチネンタルという素晴らしさ。ただ日本人としては便座が暖かくなるとなお嬉しいな。

시설 및 위치는 합리적이었습니다. 하지만 조식이용할때 프로슈토 디 파르마에서 바퀴벌레가 나왔는도 별도의 조치가 없어 아쉬웠습니다. 위생 청결관리에 유의하셨으면 좋겠습니다.

我沒有遇過這麼糟糕的海景房 居然還有分90度海景 180度海景 重點根本正面都被擋住...連換了三間房 冷氣根本都是送風 !超級誇張!!我真不敢相信 當初為何選了這間飯店!!

우산이 고장났는데 한 리셉션 직원의 안하무인 태도에 어이가 없었고, 비가 오는 날 창가에 물이 새는 것을 보고 진심 황당하였음

It is the best location in town. Just beside the Olympic Marina. Only issue with this hotel is that it needs an renewal . Restsurant/breakfast area had the floor in bad condition. Unacceptable for such 5 star hotel

공항 셔틀 안내가 있었더면 더~ 좋았을것을 아쉬워요 까르프 앞까지 701번 공항버스가 있던데~ 직원분들이 잘 모르더라구요 공항 가는 택시 안내만 친절히 해주셨어요^*^

visited on January to see the sunrise. Was okay to stay at Seaside, but we stayed to watch sunrise which the room was advertised. However, the room assigned to me was far from seeing the sunrise. Overall, due to cleanness of the room condition and service, it was okay to stay.

久々の宿泊でしたが、非常にクオリティが低くて驚いた。 エレベーターは壊れているにもかかわらず誰も何もしようとしなく、しばらく上層階に上がらなかった。 工事をしているのか至る所に剥き出しのとこほが。もう泊まらないかな。

Great location walking distance to the waterfront attractions and mall. Check in was very friendly and gave a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The suite was very spacious with an incredible view of the city. Breakfast buffet offered lots of variety--western, Chinese, Japanese, fresh juices and pastries. The made to order noodles were delicious! Overall great hotel for a great price. Only small con was with detailed cleanliness. For example, mildew stains on the shower shelf and calcium stains in the water tank of the Lavazza coffee machine. Small issues that did not detract much from the nice experience.

The hotel is in need of a face lift in lot of ways, but the service is always friendly. Also their swimming pool is much nicer than the Shangri-La. The only real complaints we had were 1) breakfast in the lounge is definitely not up to five star quality, and 2) the heat in the room is too much. We had it turned down to 16C and finally just switched it off because we couldn't sleep. The hotel is near the water so you do get a nice view from the lounge and take a pleasant stroll along the waterfront if the weather is nice.

Stayed in Intercontinental Qingdao for 3 nights during a business trip and it was awesome. From the food options to room comfort there was nothing negative about this place. Staff is very friendly and helpful, lobby bar is entertaining with tasteful live music and the on premise spa/massage is a great way to relax after a long day of meetings. Highly recommended.

This hotel was a step up for us, beautifully decorated and the room was clean, with lots of little extras. Hot showers, lovely bath. The dinning was amazing with plenty of choice for both traditional and western tastes. Laundry service was very good and quick, but expensive. would most definitely recommend this hotel.

Good quality hotel near to marina which was hosting the Round the World yacht race. Staff were very attentive and helpful, particularly the reception and foyer staff who were especially helpful with the language challenges and local advice and guidance. The room staff were also very polite, efficient and courteous. The only area I considered a weakness was the service in the main restaurant called Flavours. There were adequate staffing levels, but I felt there needed to be a little more supervision and direction. Accepting the language challenges, some of the staff in the restaurant did not appear to be adequately versed in the running of the restaurant, leaving guests and customers frustrated with the service. Incorrect orders, mis-understandings as to requirements of the patrons and a general lack of purpose of some of the staff who just walked around and appeared not to achieve much. All staff were very courteous and well presented.

Extremely attentive service but hotel gets older.

Well I give 4 stars but I have to say that I have been extremely disappointed and definitelz never will come back. This hotel is not worth the brand Intercontinental. Two reasons 1. The SPA was under renovation. It is even not clear when it will be reopend but the website didn't mention that and the price I paid was hugh. 2. The hotel photos leave the impression as you walk out of the hotel right next to the boats. Well the truth is there is a small backdoor passage along a RR shop but its still just a street next to the haven. Yes the rest is in good condition and the breakfast was good but that i can get for much less.
