Reviewed Sep 17, 2026On the face of it everything seemed good value for money. But one aspect detracted terribly from what would otherwise have resulted in a good rating. My ratings of many, many previous stays will demonstrate that I only give fair and honest ratings and reviews.
We were literally eaten alive by bed bugs and have the photographs to show it.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Rooms are clean and comfortable. I love the thought to detail, with tea/coffee and welcome snacks. This is the 3rd time we stay here to break up the Durban to Joburg drive. It’s just off the high way so perfect rest stop. My mom is in a wheelchair and she could easily access the room and enough space to manoeuvre. Staff are pleasant and we discovered Mugg and Bean deliver to the room!
Handicap rails are needed by the toilets in the Handicap bathrooms. Dear Marriott, Please make your beds with the opening of the duvets placed at the foot of the bed.

I think the general challenge as someone booking into a place is the amount you spend vs the time you have. We only got there after 9pm due to the N3 traffic - not the hotel's fault at all - then checkout is at 10am, so no real time to enjoy the facilities.

The water pressure in the shower coming from the hot water tap.was difficult to balance with the cold water. At some point I burnt my hand from the hot water because I turned the tap the one way instead if the other way. A mixer will save us all the trouble.

Reviewed May 25, 2026Despite detailed previous reviews on the wheel chair room, they ignored all that. Among other things I complained about the width of the bathroom door. They reduced the bathroom door, made it even smaller by the folding door. There is now a threshold barrier, it is twice as hard to move in and out of the bathroom.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026I was welcomed with a smile, staff was very friendly and professional, was assisted with everything I needed, was happy with the safety for myself and my car and didn't even had to unpack my suitcases in the car as I had a lot of luggage. Cleanliness in the room and combination of colours was on top. The bed was very comfortable and didn't even wanted to wake up in the morning ☺️. Will definitely come back and will recommend to my friends and family.
