If you visit El Gouda, this is the most beautiful Boutique hotel. For me important adults only. The rooms are very romantic and the garden is so lovely. Every employee is kind and there to serve you! They have a great breakfast and lot to choos from. The hotel is like a little paradise. For me it is my second home! Dawar has a nice pool with a view on the lagune. On a walking distance you find many great restaurants!
Relaxing with beautiful scenery and pool - lagoon
Dawar el omda is a must try experience, so relaxing and cozy, really friendly and caring staff, the food is great... will be back again more and more for sure, a big thank you to every one at dawar el omda
The hotel is the best one, as the staff were friendly and the view was incredibly amazing. Everyone should try the experience; you will love it, especially the receptionist, who was helpful, and the beach boy, who was really nice and friendly. P.S the rooms are clean and the view is amazing.
It is my first time in gouna and it hasn’t been better if i wasn’t here. The place is ineffable. Everything Is super cool, cozy, and funny. Appreciation to the stuff, they made it 100* better. ps: add some more different flowers plz❤️
Perfect location in downtown gouna, i liked my room view & how the place was comfortable & quite, very clean & food also was great The staff are so friendly 🤍 from reception Andrew George is so cool ,funny, caring and so helpful, beach boy ahmed he so funny & helpful & finally bar man hanna he so friendly & help us and made a special drinks with love. The lagoon beach was always unoccupied which felt like a private beach for us
Beautifully positioned hotel on a lagoon and room and breakfast were superb. Sadly, however, living in Egypt and wanting a short break I stayed over a weekend. The bass sounds from the Downtown parties were simply unacceptable and sadly spoilt my stay. I would stay again but NEVER over a weekend.
This stay was amazing! My bestfriend and I wanted to visit El Gouna and this hotel fell onto our laps perfectly! Lovely staff and cozy vibes, felt right at home. Hana, Ahmad & Montaser were so accommodating and friendly, striking conversations with us everyday and helping us with the area with recommendations. We’ll definitely repeat this trip again and recommend this hotel to anyone.
It was a cozy place with a special Egyptian touch Staff were very nice and respectful Breakfast was great Lagoon view is the best Terrace is very comfortable Near to downtown which is the best in El Gouna Pool is good But….. Lagoon is not nice to swim in so you have only Zeytouna beach and the pool Beach doesn’t allow you to go with food and beverages so you need to know that before you book because I didn’t know that while booking Zeytouna beach doesn’t provide you with variety of snacks and their items are over priced
Excellent hotel and very recommended, location is perfect with wide lagoon and infinity pool with 2 minutes walking to shuttle boat which is very well time managed that takes 4 minutes to Zaytona beach where you can do many water activities with nice beach and snorkeling spots. Restaurant is clean and food is delicious. Room is nice and clean with lovely view. Staff are super friendly and polite. Hotel is 4 minutes walking to downtown restaurants and cafes and 10 minutes by car to Abu tig Marina. I like the experience and will do it again for sure.
The hotel is really nice, loved the decor and the staff were very friendly and helpful and any problem we had was solved immediately. Breakfast was my favourite part of the day with the flower tree view, I recommend you try the crepe there. Would definitely go there again!
Nice boutique hotel, hospitality staff, same for sister hotel Sultan bey hotel, special thanks for hakam restaurant Manager and his staff for the big efforts doing during the dinner all the best for all.
I loved it so much
The hotel is located in Down town in El Gouna, an excellent location. Many good restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. There is a heated clean swimming pool, good WiFi every where. Excellent delicious breakfast, variety of options for every one. Freshly made omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes available. Staff are always ready to help and make your stay enjoyable. A big thanks to Makarious at the front desk. Hope to be back soon.
Super Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis. Tolles Frühstück, schöne Anlage und nettes, hilfbereites Personal. Kein Luxushotel, aber wirklich empfehlenswert!
204 room Not a direct problem of a hotel but the neighbours in 205 did nothing but talk and shout And use the phone on the balcony from 7 o'clock in the morning . The shower was inconsistent in temperature. It was all a little bit tired with doors hanging off.
Fabulous stay, really amazing, outstanding maintained room, lovely team members, tasty breakfast.hope to be sooner there again
Hotel is great but housekeeping isn’t the best. For example, they don’t put water in the room so that you use the one in the fridge and get charged. Very cheap approach.
Stayed with a group of friends and had lovely time. Great location and service.
The hotel is more than amazing from the reception (Makarious is very helpful go and ask about him u will stay the best vacation ever) the food the staff everything is amazing thank u guys for making my vacation is the best
I really liked the decor of the hotel, it had a very nice cosy Nubian feel and the pool area is super nice. Staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located near downtown walking distance to restaurants/bars etc. My only issue is my room (401) was too small and didn’t have a desk space to work. Breakfast was nice and simple served at Sultan Bey sister hotel.
The place was really cool. I went off season and still under covid circumstances so it was understandably quiet. The staff was exceedingly friendly, helpful, and professional. The only bummer was that soft drinks are not included with dinner. I'd go again :)
Cozy stay within the wonderful lagoon of El Gouna. Close to the "Downtown" with it's delightful choice of bars and restaurants. Really nice and helpful staff. Always go for a Lagoon Room.
Superb from all aspects..very calm and nice...
Cozy Hotel friendly staff nice rooms one of the best hotels in el Gouna
Emplacement top. Proche du centre, avec peut-être l'inconvénient de La musique des bars tard suivant l'emplacement de la chambre. Super séjour, je recommande.
Small rooms, I requested a quiet room, however they have a room with lots of street noise. The hotel cleark forgot all about my wake up call. When I inquired about airport transportation Osama the morning hotel clerck just gave me 1 option, I found out later that the service he suggested was charging me double the rate.
Everything about the hotel was terrific. The Mattress and Pillows a bit hard and uncomfortable, but other than that it was terrific. Food, Drinks, Atmosphere, View were all a delight.
High standard service from all staff and Management.
Well, what can i say about this hotel that i havn`t already said,a lot. Once you`ve been that`s it you`re hooked, part of the DAWAR family,we got such a great welcome back from all the staff including the manager Veronique. As i said on another review, here you just go with the flow and you`ll have best of times.Great food, evening entertainment was great too,led by the voice of Veronique, yes a fully hands on manager.Good pool scene as well towels out every morning by the reliable Ahmed, also thanks to all the staff, what a great bunch, morning, evening, and night doing our bidding, thank you all guys can`t say enough, you`re all stars in our eyes. A special thank you goes out to the manager ,Veronique, and her deputy, who came to visit me at the hospital after i was struck down by a virus on our last day and gave us a lift back to DAWAR,see you all soon i hope,Derek and Karen Halls.
Our holiday in Dawar El Omda Hotel was very quite and we hope to return as soon as possible.
It was really exceptional stay wonderful place
The hotel is so poor, no facilities, unclean and bad smell at the rooms.
We have stayed in most of the hotels in El Gouna & this was by far the best.
Great hotel, very Friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of dishes in the restaurant. In a great location close to restaurants, bars and shops of downtown El Gouna.
Staff is so friendly & overall is very good
Comfortable rooms with option for non smoking which I was delighted to find as the first room we were offered in the previous hotel we stayed at in El Gouna smelled like an ashtray! The adults only rule was an obvious plus during the school holidays. Staff were all helpful and the coffee with breakfast was lovely and smooth.
Hotel misrepresented what features were 'on-site' which ended up not being a huge issue as most things were just down the street, and this isn't a review of those things. The towels and sheets weren't a very good quality and the twin mattress was fairly uncomfortable.
nice & cozy hotel and in good location
The room was dirty, the bathrooms were dirty. I even tried to clean it personally but it was too dirty. The garbage we put outside of our room wouldn't get cleaned for days until we asked for them to be removed. The friendly staff ( not all) was the only bright side of our stay.
A large group of us were in gouna for a friend's wedding. While the hotel was in a great location and reception staff were very friendly, the remaining staff including restaurant and room service staff didn't seem bothered with any of our requests. As for the rooms, the beds are quite hard and uncomfortable, the room floors were still wet when we checked in, the bathroom shower leaked everywhere, they didn't have an ironing board when we asked for one, and several of our rooms had something not working (fridge, phone etc.) Also the hotel claims to have wifi, but there was no connection anywhere except the main lobby. Best thing about this hotel was its close proximity to downtown.
when i book for this hotel it was not turned to adults only at the time. i reached the hotel with my wife and my 1 year child, the sales manager met me and told me that this hotel became for adults only and i can't stay because the child and he solve this and turned my booking to Sultan Bey hotel which he also the sales manger for Sultan too, as he say. regarding the stay in "SULTAN BEY" i spend excellent times in this hotel, food was very delicious, room was directly on lagoon, it was excellent view, the room service was very good. regarding "Dawar El Omda" i can't review it because i did't stay there.
Awesome. Not very many activities but very relaxing. The staff were so friendly.
Small clean hotel with very good rate, room balcony is lovely overlooking the lagoon, amenities is basic but OK, 3 minutes walk to Tamr Henna Square, where everything available; shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, banks, pharmacy, etc. Very recommended, but book lagoon rooms
Again, a great stay! As usual, the hotel was lovely and quiet. Just couples and small groups of friends. The breakfast was great, we ate outside each morning in the sunshine. Was able to laze by the pool all day, following a morning walk.
This hotel is very central, a 3-minute walk from the bus station, for those coming from Cairo with GoBus. The check-in was fast and friendly and we got to our rooms in time to go for a beer before bed, even though we arrived late. The rooms are clean and comfortable, in very simple Arabic style. We had a room over the lagoon, it felt like Venice. This hotel sees mainly couples and families and I've never seen a coach pull up outside. This means it's quiet and people feel at home. Breakfast is from 7 to 10 and the staff don't mind if you linger. The pool was heated 2 of the 3 days I was there. The lobby is gorgeous and has the most beautiful 'balady' benches and artisan-made cushions. For what we paid, this hotel is really amazing. I've never had a bad experience here.
Our room was very bad, nothing was working in the room. Also no refrigerator, they do not function well in any of the rooms Also no security at all, u can open any room from the balcony.. Other friends rooms were better, however not as expected
We were lucky enough on this stay at the lovely Dawar El Omda, to have been allocated a suite - we had booked a standard double. I guess the hotel was fully booked and we got a free upgrade! The suite was great, with three single eds, so we were able to take a room each. We had a fully-stocked mini-bar and tea and coffee-making faciities. Each room had its own entrance onto the terrace, which opened on to the lagoon. We were able to invite our pals who were also stayiong at Dawar el Omda, to our suite for pre-dinner drinks and nibbles! Breakfast was long and lazy fun, with plenty of coffee refills from the very friendly and kind staff. As the hotel was fully-booked, we weren't able to avail of late check-out, but it didn't matter because we were able to leave our bags in the luggage room, and lie by the pool until our bus to Cairo left in the late afternoon. This hotel is less than a five-minute walk from the GoBus stop in Downtown Gouna, which is very handy also.
I've stayed here before and this time was as good as the last. This is a beautiful hotel, with simple Egyptian decoration. The staff are friendly and kind, and more importantly very respectful. The breakfast buffet is standard fare, with plenty of fresh fruit salad and meusli, as well as the usual pastries and savouries. The pool is small and not crowded. The clienetle is nice - no busloads of tourists here! For the price, I'd highly recommend this hotel. I've booked another weekend there in March :-)
It was amazing weather and veiw
Very enjoyable, and recommeded it to all my freinds and family.
the place is ok ,, it need alot of upgrade
1- The service in the hotel is very poor. 2- The room amenities are quite poor and dont match with 4 stars hotel. 3- The service is lousy and the employee there are careless. 4- For instnace, I asked for a special treatemnt as I was celeberating my anniversary and nothing has been done. 5- I asked for an adabtor, the answer was "go and buy it from the supermarket"!! 6- I asked for a help to change my flight tickets, they told me go and do it yourself. 7- I stayed for more than half an hour on the pool to get a towel, the execuse was: the General Manager is a having a meeting with the staff and you need to wait" !!!
Great place near the downtown. The community had entertainment each evening. The Hotel was nice. Great pool. Directions to the beach not the best. The Desk said down the street near the pool. Took a while to find the pool. You go to the Sultan Bay Hotel Pool for the shuttle boat to the beach.
It is a very peaceful place, clean and perfect for relaxation. The hotel has a special design according to that beautiful place and at the beginning you could believe that is old and not so well maintained but is just the design. You have everything you need in your room and it is clean. Everything is functional and the personnel are very polite. It is a nice outdoors swimming pool with warm and clean water where you can get all services you need. You can walk everywhere around the hotel and to find what you need, to make shopping. They don’t have written prices on the items you buy and therefore many times you have to negotiate the price. It is not the only country having this custom but can be fun if you like to negotiate or tiring if you don’t. You have to be careful because you can’t get EURO or USD from ATM just EL their currency.
It is a very nice small hotel, stuff are very good and the food is diliscious.
An excellent hotel. The decor is simple but beautiful and gives a real sense of being in Egypt. The staff are friendly but not overly so as can be the case in other hotels. Overall an excellent experience and one I would definately recommend to anyone travelling to El Gouna!
We stayed in another hotel in El Gouna by the marina before staying in the Dawar El Omda and we loved it. The location downtown was great with the supermarket and so many restaurants so close by. Also the beach was close by. All of the balconies at the hotel had beautiful views of the lagoon and red sea. We stayed here for five nights and absolutely loved it. It was perfect for what we were looking for.
Nice hotel in Downtown El Gouna. Very friendly staff. We stayed at 3 other hotels in different areas of Egypt on this holiday, and the breakfast buffet at Dawar El Omda was by far the nicest - much better selection and fresher food. We stayed on a B&B basis so can't comment on lunch and dinner! A very clean well presented hotel - would recommend.
A tranquil escape in El Gouna designed for adults, with an emphasis on leisure and relaxation.
Experience lagoon-facing balconies with contemporary amenities, including free WiFi and a flat-screen TV.
Savor meals at the on-site restaurant or unwind with drinks at the bar and poolside bar.
