The property was clean, very good location but no one told us that we will be on the 3rd floor and there is no lift so every night we had to climb 3 floors of stairs to go to our bedroom

This is Sorrento where you go to the beach everyday there is no place to hang ur wet bathes and towel and when we ask for a clothes hanger they don’t provide it the shower head needs maintenance and upgrade it was very old and not very good, they don’t refill the tea bag’s and coffee when they clean everyday, the mini fridge is very small can only fit 4 small bottles of water and you can’t make ice

Si bien no ofrece desayuno pone a disposición del huésped cocina con vajilla , cubiertos, te ,café dulce y miel, etc. Además proveen el agua embotellada en forma gratuita. Buena señal de wi fi y arreglan las habitaciones todos los dias. EXCElENTE. Algo mas me ayudaron a subir y bajar ls valija por la escalera

No hay ascensor, para tener en cuenta por personas con movilidad reducida que no pueden subir por escalera. NO fue un problema para mi

Hotel entrance is hard to find, it's on a small alley off of main street. It's in a pedestrian-only area so be aware if arriving with luggage. Closest parking for our rental car was about 15min walk away in a parking garage. Also check-in was supposed to be until 9pm, and we planned to arrive at 7pm but around noon they emailed that they were closing early, which was quite frustrating as we couldn't figure out how to unlock the hotel entrance door.

struttura ottima, in tutto e per tutto personale gentilissimo, disponibilissimo e attento alle esigenze. posizione perfetta, in pieno centro, sulla via principale accanto a degli ottimi ristoranti dove poter mangiare la sera la nostra camera era molto grande, ben curata ed arredata, luminosissima dotata di condizionatore e cassaforte siamo state davvero bene, io e le mie amiche abbiamo passato davvero un ottimo soggiorno!

All the stairs and despite asking for a lower floor we were given the top floor!

The reception service was welcoming and the room was tidy.

The main door is very loud. We were on the second floor and we could hear it close every time it was opened. You can hear people walking up and down the stairs and can hear people from outside. The basin sink was clogged and back up. We did notify the reception and were advised someone would come check it out. No one came to check it out. The shower water pressure was very low. If you don’t want your room clean, it’s recommended you let reception know. We left the “do not disturb” light on and the staff still cleaned the room. We didn’t have a problem with this.

The Location was (perfect). Just a few stairs away from the main street. The room was great size, nice large comfortable bed and the AC worked great ( we were there during the July heat wave). Receptionist was awesome. Loved the hotel (except shower head).

The shower only had a "rain" shower head. The hotel should put in a "hand held" shower head. There was no way to turn the water on "to warm it up" without getting hit by cold water first. The water also splashed out under the door. Great water pressure and great looking shower/bath, but the shower head was the only negative. We stayed in 4 different hotels during out trip to Italy and every hotel's bathroom had the "hand held" shower head. Install a different shower head and I would rate this hotel a solid 10 out of 10. I loved the hotel (except for shower head).

Lovely room, brilliant location, really friendly staff who also gave great recommendations for places to eat food and go see in Sorrento.

I missed this when I read the description, but the Parking costs €25 euro per day, which would quickly get expensive if staying for longer. Maybe that could be clearer in the description. Also if you are visiting Sorrento in general and booking a retal car look Into the rules on odd/even number plates on odd/even days as this caught us off guard after we'd already booked a rental car. Only thing I reviewed less than max on this was the value for money, this B&B is probably fairly priced it was perfectly nice, but Sorrento in general is an expensive area to stay.

The Palazzo Starace is very old but beautiful like many buildings in Italy. If you are expecting contemporary luxury, this is not for you. If you like the old world classic, it's perfect. It is also a perfect central location, where you are on the main street in Sorrento with convenient access to many restaurants and local attractions. We loved meandering through the many stone alleyways and gift shops. If you are on the street side, as others have mentioned it is quite noisy at night till quite late. It's happy noise as everyone is having a great time in this city. You cannot reach the front door by vehicle- but must get dropped off at Plaza Tasso. No problem because our host met us at the Plaza Tasso so we would not have difficulty finding it. Quick, very short walk to the Palazzo. Luciana and Margherita were wonderful hosts as well as the housekeeper (didn't get her name) who went above and beyond for us. We had a bit of a difficulty one morning and they were so kind and supportive. Thank you!! We also booked a private boat with Captain and mate to Capri through the hosts and it was a FANTASTIC experience!! Highly recommend. Please note that there is a lift for luggage but no elevator. There are many beautiful marble stairs even for the first level of rooms- so be aware if you have difficulty with stairs. We were a mixed age family of 10 and the younger ones were up higher so it was not an issue for us. The rooms are quite basic but clean. There was a tea water heater and tea bags only. There was shampoo, a shower cap and q tips but no soap. Shampoo was also on the sink so perhaps that is meant for body wash as well. Housekeeping came daily and made the beds and provided plenty of towels. The beds were comfortable, however, the sheets quite scratchy. The bottom sheet was not fitted so it pulled out all the time. Also no mattress pad on the bed. This is one improvement I hope they would consider to improve to a 5 star review. The air conditioning is on the wall, not central but we were cool even during 90+ daytime temperatures. Breakfast consisted of vouchers for a nearby café. The menu was somewhat limited but we found it perfect and the staff were above and beyond wonderful. Palazzo Starace is a beautiful Old Italy B and B- the whole family loved it and we would stay again.

The location can’t be beat. There is also a common area to help you feel more at home. The best part of this stay hands down was Margarite, she was at the front desk and was incredibly kind, attentive and helpful. Sometimes it’s more about the people than anything else. She’s a professional in hospitality.

Nothing to dislike.

Curat, personalul foarte amabil, ne-au curatat camera si ne au oferit prosoape noi. Zona foarte buna pentru a vizita, se afla aproape de Gara Centrala, de restaurante si magazine de suveniruri.

Din cauza faptului ca este plin sezon, a fost foarte multa galagie afara, iar pentru o familie cu un bebelus, poate fi un disconfort.

La cama no era cómoda. El aseo no estaba suficientemente limpio, el agua de la ducha se salía y mojaba todo el suelo, el grifo del lavabo estaba muy sucio, el techo y paredes tenían moho, el grifo de la ducha también estaba muy sucio, salía poca agua y tenía una fuga, la ventana del aseo estaba en mal estado.

Great location, very nice room. We stayed in the family room - 4 adults. Staff were lovely and helpful. Air con was top notch. Free water daily and beach towels available.

Stairs were hard work after a long day out but didn’t bother us too much. Shower could have had more pressure but again didn’t bother us enough for it to dampen our experience.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was centrally located on the main corridor of Sorrento, within easy walking distance to all of Sorrento. Excellent location!

We were not aware that there is not an elevator in this hotel. They have a lift for luggage; however, we had to climb 70 stairs to get to our room every day. The website looked like it had a rooftop terrace and provided breakfast in house; however, the "terrace" is extremely small (4 people at most) and closed off. They no longer serve breakfast but give a voucher for a limited breakfast at the restaurant next door which doesn't open until 8:30am. This was too late for some mornings because we had tours that started at 8:00. Staff was not on site much of the time.

Отличное расположение -самый центр Сорренто. До вокзала, порта, ресторанов, магазинов и основных достопримечательностей можно дойти пешком. Очень приятный и доброжелательный персонал. Спасибо, что учли нашу просьбу и организовали номер с двумя отдельными кроватями. Номер небольшой, но чистый, с кондиционером, есть всё необходимое для комфортного отдыха. Так как рядом центральная улица , вечером и ночью слышно музыку и шум., но не так чтобы это мешало заснуть. Сорренто оказался очень живым городом, люди гуляют, поют и танцуют почти до двух часов ночи. Это создает особую атмосферу отдыха, и нам это очень понравилось.

The staff were lovely, and tried their best to be helpful. The overall experience was fine, with good aircon, wifi, and excellent soundproofing from the balcony windows. The room was attended to every day, and was ceratinly value for money, taking into account it's very central position. Thankfully there was a basket-lift for luggage to go up the 3 storeys, while we climbed the 70 steps to our floor.

I'm afraid that I think it was Booking . Com that caused the issue since I was convinced that there was breakfast available due to the photos on the site. My overall experience of using Booking . Com was great... the offered flights coordinating with our selected dates was really helpful, and everything went really smoothly. Unfortunately I took the odd little sentnce about "no meals being selected with this booking" to mean Lunch or Dinner. But since it's called Bed and Breakfast (and still has this on the door into the actual room) and the photos showed multiple people seated either on the balcony or in the breakfast room I was happy to think I had secured breakfasts for us. It wasn't a huge blight on the holiday as Sorrento is well stocked with smaller coffee houses and a good central supermarket, and it was certainly a very good price, but I feel it should just have the images corrected. Also, you do have to be more than just mobile to manage the staircase!

Todo excelente y tal cual se ve en las fotos, las anfitrionas super amables, nos subieron y bajaron las valijas por el montacargas, la ubicacion es ideal, en el medio del centro pero de noche se duerme bien, no hay ruidos, volveria sin dudarlo!

Location was nice, had family room and it was good size for my group. Loved the little balcony that looked out over the street. Beds were comfortable.

The bathroom was small, the toilet flusher was broken so it was hard to flush, toilet seat not secure and wobbled, shower was tiny and no bath mat available so water got all over floor.

Great location and super friendly staff. I like the look of the building as it felt authentic as an old building from the area. Our room was very big

The room at the beginning had a musty smell, however improved with turning on the AC. The furniture could use a bit of upgrade as well as towels and sheets, however always freshen up and clean every day, so I should not be so picky!🙂

We only stayed here for one night and loved that the hotel was in the center of Sorrento. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and bright. Enjoyed the balcony being able to watch the tourists on the street. Close to shops and restaurants and walkable from the train station.

אין נוף אלא נוף של בנין סמוך (אולי זה מוזכר בתיאור החדר - לא זוכרת), צריך לטפס ברגל 2 קומות גבוהות וזה לא מוזכר בתיאור החדר, אין בחדר הרחצה מקום לשים את כלי הרחצה בצורה נוחה, אין מדפים לבגדים אלא רק מתלים מאד גבוהים.

Central location - ideal for getting to shops, Marina Grande etc. Great to have a fridge in the room, as well as the use of a kettle and a dining area plus free drinks, biscuits etc. Bed very comfortable. Staff very helpful and let us into our room early so we could leave our backpacks there on the first day.

Because it was central, it could also be a bit noisy at night. Rain shower didn’t work but staff were trying to get it sorted.

think twice and be aware about followings  before you book a room from here . You have to climb 70 steps - 3 floors - to reach the room. despite our consistent request for changing the room , hotel management did not accept to change the room. they offered not fixed two twin bed placed next to each other as double bed. twin beds were moving apart from each other on all movements we made while we were sleeping. the beds were exteremly uncomfortable. pillows were as thin as sheet. room was very narrow to find a space to open the luggages. The room lacked toilet paper and towel racks. The room price 300 eur per night was far above the amenities offered.

We stayed three nights. Spacious clean and fresh room with great staff. Breakfast at a location downstairs and it was fabulous. Perfect location to all. Sorrento beautiful!

We chose Palazzo Sterace because of its central location, which provided convenient access to many restaurants and local attractions. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet expectations. We stayed in the “apartment-style” accommodation, which was located separately from the main hotel property and was initially very difficult to find. Although the listing mentioned stairs, it did not clearly indicate that the apartment was located at the top of approximately five flights of stairs, which was quite challenging with luggage. The apartment itself was basic but clean. However, it lacked standard hotel amenities such as shampoo, soap, drinking glasses, and wine glasses. There was also no housekeeping service during our stay, and we had to specifically request clean towels. One of the biggest issues was the excessive street noise outside the bedroom. Even with earplugs, it was nearly impossible to sleep, as the noise continued until 2–3 a.m. nightly. In addition, the air conditioning was not functioning properly and required multiple requests before someone came to assist. The toilet also ran constantly throughout our stay. While the property advertises itself as a Bed & Breakfast, it did not provide the type of experience typically associated with that designation, especially by European standards. Breakfast consisted of vouchers for a nearby café with a very limited menu specifically for hotel guests, and even an additional cup of coffee incurred extra charges. Overall, the accommodations and services did not match the photos or expectations presented online. Unfortunately, we would not recommend staying at this property.

Firstly the staff, mainly Margherita, were professional, friendly and welcoming. However, although the room was adequate, there was no view and no balcony, as shown in all the pictures. The picture on the website makes it look far better than it really was. There was also no breakfast on offer. Instead, I was given vouchers to use the local cafe where there wasn't a great deal of selection. Although there was a kettle in the room, there was no coffee or no milk available and only earl grey teabags. For the price paid, I would definitely have expected a little better.

I was not warned in advance breakfast was not on offer. Although we were given tickets to visit the local cafe this is not the same as eating at the location and very disappointing. Very disappointing also is that no tea or coffee facilities were offered in the room. There was a scant selection of tea, no breakfast tea and definitely no coffee or milk. We were offered the use of the kitchen but there was no choice of tea or coffee there either. The room did not have a view and was overlooked The main overhead shower did not work

comme dans tout ces immeubles anciens en Italie. aucune sonorisation aussi bien des bruits du dehors que des bruits dans l'immeuble.
