Quiet, atmospheric, beautiful, very good breakfasts and dinners

A wonderful property. Beautiful garden that does need some TLC. Otherwise it is wonderful spot. Bayeux is a beautiful city.

A stunning, quiet place with excellent service. Excellent breakfast. Parking with an electric car charging station available. Dog friendly.

The Duplex was a lovely place to be, albeit for one night, location was great too an easy walk into town. The car charging worked very well and the staff were very friendly. Also Coffee making facilities were very welcome.

The drive was a bit bumpy but a part from this a very lovely place to be. Bar prices were steep.

La location è molto bella ma la struttura dovrebbe essere manutenuta meglio. Le camere andrebbero rimodernate ed il personale aggiornato per essere più pronto a soddisfare le richieste degli ospiti (in alcuni casi non parlavano un adeguato inglese)

Vedi quanto riportato al punto precedente. Inoltre il non avete l'aria condizionata ha penalizzato molto il soggiorno specialmente considerando il caldo del mese di agosto

The room was very comfortable and the location was great. A 20 minute walk to the centre of town.

The electric chargers that we chose the hotel for were not easy to use. The staff didn't know how they worked either. We didn't see anyone manage to figure them out or use them. The room gave a wonderful first impression but on closer inspection it could do with little maintenance, ants coming through rear door, mould in bathroom and weeds outside. Small things but it could have been perfect with these things addressed. Tennis court was slippery with moss - not really usable.

El desayuno muy rico y variado, la cena lo mismo, el personal, y en este caso Inés fue espectacular. el castillo está en buen estado, los grifos de la bañera son un poco liosos para utilizarlos, pero por lo demás, sitio con mucho encanto.

Nice place to break up our trip between the north of Normandy and Mont St Michel. Not a normal hotel which made it fun - the chateau is cool, the staircase is impressive, our room was large and nice. It's a bit of a quirky place (to be expected from a converted historical property). Quiet walk into the center of Bayeux was maybe 10 minutes or so. Pleasant staff, good breakfast.

Would be nice to know if you're going to have a bathtub or a shower. We enjoyed the bath but the tab leaked so we had to put towels around it to soak up water. Like I said, quirky place but fun.

Insomma... non buon rapporto qualità prezzo, non tutto pulitissimo nei luoghi comuni.

Location was great, only a 20 minute walk to the centre. Free parking was useful. Building itself and downstairs was lovely.

We were VERY disappointed by the room, especially since it's meant to be a 4*. The carpet had obviously been removed and all that was left was the underlay, this was dirty and uncomfortable to walk on so we had to keep shoes on for the whole stay. The 'shower' was just a shower head in a bath that was so full on limescale, it was squirting the water in all directions. Room was very stuffy (we stayed on a cool day too) and there was only one window that opened, the other had its handle removed, the fan provided was full of dirt and dust. The whole room was outdated and the decorative pillows were very used and dirty. We were very disappointed as we were looking forwards to this stay. We did contact the hotel to discuss the matter but they were fully booked so nothing could be done.

La literie est très confortable et l’hôtel est bien placé pour visiter Bayeux et ses alentours. Le petit déjeuner était complet.

Le prix ne correspond pas à la prestation, équipements vieillissants voire même défectueux parfois (ampoule, robinetterie bloquée sur un lavabo, wc qui fuit). Nous avons été réveillé aux aurores par le jour car les rideaux ne sont pas occultants. Le restaurant n’est pas réservé aux résidents donc nous n’avons pas pu y manger, ce n’est pas non plus proposé à la réservation pour éviter ce désagrément. L’expérience client peut être amélioré avec du personnel plus chaleureux.

Hoewel de omgeving erg mooi is, schiet het onderhoud van deze locatie ernstig tekort.

Het eens zo majestueuze Grand Hotel stond erbij als een schim uit het verleden. Bij aankomst werd de toon meteen gezet: de monumentale bloempotten bij de entree stonden vol met dorre, dode takken. Het omliggende terrein, ooit vast een strakke kasteeltuin, was volledig overwoekerd door hoog onkruid. Hier was de ziel er duidelijk uit.Onze kamer bleek een ware beproeving. We werden letterlijk weggestopt op een zolderkamer op de vierde verdieping, vlak onder het brandende dak. Zonder airco en met een buitentemperatuur van 30 graden veranderde de krappe ruimte al snel in een verstikkende sauna. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was hier werkelijk ver te zoeken.Het enige positieve lichtpuntje van de hele avond was de keuken. Het diner was gelukkig uitstekend, maar zelfs dat voortreffelijke eten kon de bittere nasmaak van dit vergane hotel niet helemaal wegnemen.

Duplex très grand sur 3 niveaux, avec beaucoup d'espace pour 4 (2 adultes et 2 ados). Le lieu est calme et reposant mais proche du centre-ville où l'on peut se déplacer à pieds.

Le cadre pourrait être encore plus joli si l'ensemble était mieux entretenu. Le service au restaurant est plutôt long.

Beetje vergane glorie; zowel binnen in de kamers als het terrein. Deel gerenoveerd, deels verouderd. Ontbijt viel ontzettend tegen.

Struttura vecchia non adeguatamente ristrutturata, estremamente sporca. Il giardino ha piante e arbusti secchi , i vasi sono lasciati a se stessi. All’ingresso si è accolti da 2 vasi con 2 piante rinsecchite e da terra escono tubi non coperti. Gli arredi sono di poca qualità , obsoleti. Le tende sono rotte e macchiate. I giardinetti dietro le stanze della depandance sono in stato di abbandono

The name.

Chateau has seen better days- probably in the far past. Garden desperatly needs a gardener. Room very small, bed even smaller and not comfortable at all. Bathroom is ok. At breakfast there was not a soul from the staff. Several items/foods were out at 8am. And not replaced.

Great property. Beautiful chateau. The outdoor areas were stunning. We ate at the restaurant onsite which was also great.

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen.

Im Nebengebäude des Hotels funktionierte das WLAN nicht. Die Betten waren extrem hart und die sanitären und elektrischen Anlagen waren teilweise defekt. Die Umgebung ist in einem schlechten Zustand und es scheint fast, als ob sich die Natur ihren Platz wieder zurückholt.

It is a beautiful property, breakfast was nice. Well located specially if you’re planning on visiting multiple places nearby, not just Bayeux.

We went on a heat wave in June. There are no ACs. Although the staff has provided fans, which we appreciate, it just wasn’t enough. I noticed heaters everywhere, so perhaps an autumnal experience would have been better.

Literie de qualité et salle d'eau spacieuse et propre. Le lit bébé parapluie était installé à notre arrivée, merci. La chambre était aussi climatisée grâce à une unité mobile avant notre arrivée. C'est appréciable.

La porte du mini frigo mis à disposition était difficile à ouvrir, il faut le "coup de main".

The property was beautiful, the restaurant downstairs was delicious with great service considering our server and her colleague were the only ones cooking, serving and cleaning up. The room was a bit disappointing and beds were not very comfortable breakfast the following morning was sufficient but not many options.

The beds were not comfortable and the rooms were a bit dated.

Nous avons ensuite compris sur place que le restaurant était fermé pour nous en raison de l’organisation d’un mariage sur place. Parking bondé et donc bornes de recharge électrique inaccessibles. Parc négligé et non accessible vu le mariage. Petit déjeuner peu attrayant avec un service minimum. Pas digne d’un hôtel 4 étoiles

If it had been warmer, no aircon in room.

We liked the garden and the location even that the garden needs a lot of work.

The room was too hot especially the loft. The kids couldn't sleep there due to the heat. We couldn't open the windows due to mosquitoes, and this is due to the lake on the poperty with stagnated waters. Room was not so clean I will attach some fotos.

The property is a renovated Chateau (which you can see in the hanging pictures of the staircase)! Has tremendous amounts of charm and the gardens are spectacular in the evening. There is no AC but that was not a problem given all rooms face away from the sun in the evening.

Beautiful property with a lot of history. The evening birds around the pond sang for us while winding down from an exhausting day. Our dinner was delicious. The young lady who checked us in was very kind as well. Our room was old school large which we enjoyed. Thank you to all who work so hard to keep this château alive. 🩷

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und man konnte kaum Koffer stellen, ohne das man darüber gefallen wäre. Für ein 4-Sterne Hotel etwas sehr dürftig! Hatte unseren Erwartungen nicht entsprochen.

Very overpriced - whilst location is great (within walking distance from Bayeux town centre) and the setting is beautiful, the hotel is rather run down. The rooms are decently clean (if you overlook the black mold on the shower corners and grout) and I appreciate this is a chateau conversion, but for £150 a night (without breakfast) I would not expect duct tape holding cupboard doors closed along the corridors, or a warning that you'll be charged 0.45€ if you ask for another coffee pod. This establishment could be run at such a higher standard based on location and infrastructure - it would also benefit from being fitted with air conditioning (at least in the communal spaces, rather than running space coolers, again with the tubes affixed to the walls with duct tape). The Nuxe toiletries are a nice touch though.

The double mattress was actually two twin mattresses joint by a fitted sheet, the overall vibe of the space was 'cheap' for the actual majestic setting they enjoy.

The grounds were beautiful, the kids loved running around. The walk to town was easy to navigate.

This particular stay was a treat for us on our 2-week visit to France in May. It didn’t disappoint. The chateau is exactly as pictured and what you’d expect. Beautiful and well maintained building with stunning grounds. Upon getting to our room, I immediately opened the windows and gasped at the stunning view! Well-kept lawn that stretched on forever with a meandering creek running through it. Truly unique in my experience - it felt like a scene from a movie. The room itself was large, meticulously clean and very well supplied with top amenities. We dined at the restaurant downstairs and were genuinely surprised at how good the food and service was. Such a wonderful and relaxing venue!

None of the staff spoke fluent English but then again, we were in France! However, this didn’t stop us from communicating! They were so patient and accommodating with us!

It’s a beautiful property, we had a deluxe garden suite which was large and very comfortable. Also just a mile away from Bayeux town so we could walk to all the restaurants. Breakfast at the property is also good.

Loved everything.

Loved the quiet country feel. It was fun to hear the frogs croaking in the morning while walking outside. The rooms were spacious and clean. Everything was perfect.
