Não tem ar condicionado, os quartos são velhos não estão atualizados, muito quente disponibilizaram ventiladores mas pequenos e sem pressão, tv sem atualização não foi possível espelhar Netflix para as crianças

Het was erg warm ca. 30 graden en we zaten op de derde verdieping en de kamer was niet voorzien van een airco. Een ander nadeel was dat ze op het moment van ons verblijf aan het verbouwen waren met veel bouwlawaai tot gevolg. Hiervoor zijn we bij de receptie geweest, maar zij gaven te kennen dat alle bookingbureau’s hiervan op de hoogte waren gesteld. Ik heb een mail hierover gestuurd naar booking.com maar hierop helaas geen reactie mogen ontvangen. Ik denk dat het hotel hier geen blaam treft, maar booking.com nalatig is geweest om mij hiervan in kennis te stellen.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Alexander in Weggis and would definitely recommend it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which we especially appreciated since we don’t speak the local language. They made everything easy and welcoming for us. Our room was much larger than we expected, which was a lovely surprise, and the view was absolutely incredible. There was a crane in sight, but honestly, it became quite interesting to watch and didn’t take away from the beauty of the surroundings. The location is fantastic — we could easily walk to the boat station/pier, making it very convenient to explore the area. It was also a great base for driving to other places, including Zurich. The breakfast each morning was delicious with a great selection, and we also had dinner at the restaurant one evening where the food was absolutely divine. Overall, a wonderful experience with excellent service, beautiful surroundings, amazing food, and a perfect location. We would happily stay here again.

Die perfekte Lage direkt am See war wunderschön, das Frühstücksbuffet vielseitig und mit Sorgfalt hergrichtet. Ausserdem ein sehr sauberes Zimmer, was auf Wunsch für unser Polterwochenende besonders detailreich von dem herzlichen Personal dekoriert wurde.

Die Garderobe im SPA-Bereich war etwas eng, es wäre schön wenn 1-2 Kabinen mehr zur Verfügung stehen würden.

Un quiproquo sur le verre de bienvenu: malheureusement la consommation m'a été facturée. Un détail certes mais il aurait été plus simple d'expliquer quel type de boisson était offert par la maison.

ansprechende Zimmergrösse, bequeme Betten, genügend Platz um die Koffer zu verstauen. Badezimmer toll eingerichtet, einzig die Regendusche fehlt, das ist aber Luxus. die gebuchten Massagen waren sehr angenehm und wohltuend. Bei geschlossener Balkontüre ist auch der Lärm der Baustelle gleich vor dem Hotel nicht hörbar. Bei geöffneter Türe ist es dann doch eher laut. dafür ist die Aussicht über die Baustelle hin zum See einmalig.

Le bruit du chantier, les verres en carton, il manquait un linge et un tapis de bain, il n’y avait plus de mouchoirs en papier. Une machine à café (qui ne fonctionnait pas) sur le palier pour toutes les chambres de l’étage, c’est un peu minable pour un 4 étoiles ! Devoir acheter les sandales de bains pour accéder au spa c’est pas très classe !

Netter Empfang, schöne Aussicht, Parken hinter dem Hotel. Kleiner Bus fährt alle Stunde in den Ort (ca. 1,5 km), wo auch die Schiffslände ist.

Momentan Baustelle vor dem Hotel, ab 7:00 bis 17:00 wird es an Werktagen laut - wenn man die Balkontür offen hat. Bei geschlossener Tür war es okay.

Mir gefielen die Lage, die Aussicht und das Persona Restaurant auch gut. Spa auch gut sauber.

Das Zimmer ist alt, es ist nicht richtig sauber, es gibt keine Zahnpasta im Badezimmer und kein Duschgel.

The most regrettable mistake I’ve ever made in my years of travel and paid $877 USD for two days for it. I will lay out facts, pictures and receipts for anyone reading to decide if this is a 4 star hotel worth the price. We stayed here for two nights, 3/21-3/23 2026. 1. There is major construction right in front of the hotel. I did not know that at time of booking. Found out when I was checking in. Learned that their website had a pop-up window saying there is construction and offering a discount, in German, and German only. Once you change the language of the website to English, the pop-up does not re-appear. After a few tries my husband eventually got an English version to pop up. Ok, my bad. Nowhere in the booking workflow, or the confirmation email does it mention this construction or the discount the hotel claimed is automatically applied. My confirmation email attached as picture. 2. It’s interesting that no other reviews here or on TripAdvisor mention such construction. Only on platforms like booking.com which have stronger guardrails of review manipulation that mention it. The hotel website and response to review claimed “by March 2026 there will be no construction noise”. And that the discount applied was not visible to the guest bcus they booked via booking.com. I booked via the hotel website. I also did not see anything mentioning a discount. At check out the front desk told me the discount was applied bcus the regular rate was over $400+. I’ve attached pictures of the actual construction site. You can decide if the construction looks close to be done with noises, or if the hotel disclosed sufficiently the potential impact to your stay. They are building an entire apartment complex. 3. This claims to be a 4 star wellness hotel, out of respect for the no camera policy in the spa, I did not take pictures. The facilities remind me of a community gym or a chain hotel on the side of a highway. There are no slippers provided, you have to pay for them. the desk at the spa is not staffed. We had to call the front desk for someone to come down and give us a locker key, towels and robes. The pools would have a very nice view if not for the construction, the sauna and steam rooms could be nice, but clearly not well cleaned or maintained. I had a manicure, performed at a single desk in the hallway, right by where fire extinguisher and other equipments are stored. 3. I attached some pictures of the furniture in the room. The room had so many issues my husband and I just had to laugh about it. There are only two pillows, you have to request for more. We were supposed to have two spa bags with robes and towels, nowhere to be found. There are no glassware of mugs, only two champagne glasses and two tall glasses, or paper cups in the communal coffee area at each floor. The bathroom did not have shower gel or conditioner, I had to request it. The feedback forms with the previous guests’ full names on them were left in the room. You can decide if this is a 4 star experience. I won’t make comments about the service. Although not every interaction was pleasant, the staff is clearly hard working and doing the best they can to help whenever asked. I will also say there were plenty of people over the weekend who appeared to have enjoyed themselves there. Most appear to be locals. I hope this review does not disappear. And you can see what you will be getting should you choose to stay at this hotel.

Das Frühstück schmeckte gut, tolles Badeangebot.

Die Decke war viel zu heiss. Die Matratze ist durchgelegen. Ich kriegte Rückenschmerzen.

Sehr aufmerksam, freundlich . Man fühlte sich als Alleinreisende sehr gut aufgehoben.

Super Lage, tolle Aussicht auf Berge und See , sehr gutes Frühstück und Essen , wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt mal wieder, Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam . Vielen Dank für paar sehr schöne Tage

The overall infrastructure is a bit dated, and there were construction works in front of the building (though of course this isn’t the hotel’s fault)

Das Zimmer war klein und nicht sehr gemütlich. Langer schmuddeliger Gang zum Zimmer (soll nun renoviert werden) Baustelle vor dem Haus

Das Frühstück hat meine Erwartungen klar übertroffen. Auch das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, hilfsbereit und sehr angenehm. Der Spa-Bereich hat die Erwartungen ebenfalls übertroffen, auch wenn man einige Abnutzungsspuren erkennen kann. Besonders schön war der Aussenpool, den man auch im Winter wunderbar geniessen kann. Die Küche und das Servicepersonal waren ebenfalls ausgezeichnet.

Tatsächlich fällt die Bewertung lediglich «gut» aus, da im Bad Schimmel vorhanden war – insbesondere beim Ventilator, der zudem nicht funktionierte. Insgesamt wirkte das Bad deutlich abgetragen.

Es ist ein familiär geführtes, wunderbares Hotel. Zimmer und Flure sind in die Jahre gekommen aber gut in Schuss gehalten. Matratze war hart und unbequem für mich. Es war grosse Baustelle vor dem Haus. Aber für grosse Projekte muss ab und zu gebaut werden. Ich hatte als Geburtstags Gast zum Frühstück schon Kerze am Tisch mit Gratulation und Abends Flasche Sekt im Zimmer. Es war sehr rührend und angenehm. Wellness Bereich war schön gestaltet waren immer Plätze frei Pool innen und Außen gut geheizt. Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Es waren schöne Momente. Vielen Dank liebes Team.

La colazione ottima, grande scelta e ottimi prodotti. Visto che era il mio compleanno, il servizio mi ha fatto avere una bottiglia di prosecco in camera. Sono stati molto carini, ho apprezzato molto.

Arredamento vecchio, per un 4 stelle mi aspettavo di più. Nel 2025 fare la doccia nella vasca da bagno non è più concepibile. Il getto dell’acqua della doccia inoltre era molto debole.

Positiv war lediglich das freundliche Personal und die super schöne Aussicht, aber insgesamt entsprach das Hotel nicht meinen Erwartungen an einen Vier-Sterne-Aufenthalt.

Das Hotel Alexander in Weggis ist offiziell ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel, ich persönlich habe diesen Standard jedoch nicht erlebt. Die Einrichtung ist alt und teilweise heruntergekommen, modern oder luxuriös wirkt es leider nicht. Zudem war das Hotel sehr hellhörig – Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern und den Gängen waren deutlich zu hören, was den Schlaf deutlich gestört hat. Laut Beschreibung sollten ein Wasserkocher und eine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer vorhanden sein, tatsächlich gab es diese jedoch nicht.

Frühstücksbuffet war sehr beieindruckend.

My husband and I have been our favorite spa hotel for many years. We've stayed at many different hotels, but none surpasses the Alexander Weggis. The caring staff, the wonderful spa, and the delicious cuisine leave only the most pleasant impressions! And the view from the front window is simply breathtaking, with views of the mountains and the lake. The menu also features local fish, which is delicious! We highly recommend it 🍀

Very nice stay but no AC.

My wife and I recently spent a week at this lovely hotel. Having travelled from our previous resort, Zermatt, on the train, we took the ferry from the pier adjacent to Luzern station to Weggis, a pleasant fifty minute trip. The hotel is a 10-12 minute walk from the pier but the hotel’s taxi was waiting for us on arrival. A free bus does apparently run past the hotel – I’m not sure how often it runs because we walked every time, stopping at a lovely café midway on the way back after a day’s hiking for a coffee or beer and cake. Our room was on the third floor and had a lovely view of the lake and surrounding hills. The rooms have a balcony with two chairs and table and an awning which can be controlled from the room or by hotel staff centrally. The nearby street is very quiet at night. The hotel staff (reception, waiting staff and cleaners) were all very friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room wasn’t huge but was quite adequate, with two tub chair and another chair at a desk station. Having a safe was another advantage. The breakfast was excellent – everything one could desire (a minor point, the bacon was sometimes very pale, which is common in continental hotels). Everything was replenished on a regular basis. The evening meals were excellent, four varied courses each evening and five on the gala-dinner night. We left absolutely no food on our plates. The food was beautifully presented. Only on the Saturday night when the dining room was particularly busy was the service a little disappointing – it took thirty minutes for us to receive our second course. Other than that the service was first class. The hotel has a very nice heated indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool with a built-in spa bed. We took advantage of them but it pays to do so when they’re less busy. Towels and dressing gowns are provided in the bedrooms and access to the pools and leisure facilities and via floor -1. As part of our deal with Inghams we had a packed lunch each day, very tasty ham, cheese or salami and salad sandwiches, a biscuit and an apple. We would love to return to the Alexander Hotel one day. You can travel by ferry to various towns around the lake but be warned, it isn`t cheap – even with a half-fare card. Local buses are quicker and much cheaper. You can go up Mount Rigi (behind Weggis) by cable car from Weggis or take the bus to nearby Vitznau and go to the summit by train. We also walked along the lower slopes to Greppen, a lovely walk.

The staff was extraordinary in every way possible. The views were breathtaking. The only thing this place was missing was Air conditioning .

If Lake Lucerne were a movie, then Hotel Alexander in Weggis would be the IMAX theatre with the best seats—and possibly a warm schnitzel in your lap. We came for lunch and stayed for the view (and dessert, and coffee, and then just… lingered until it was socially acceptable to order a second round). The staff were so friendly and attentive, I began to suspect they were either mind-readers or just really liked their jobs. Either way, I felt like royalty—if royalty were allowed to wear hiking shoes and request extra butter. And let’s talk about the real VIP: our dog. Not only was she welcomed, she was fawned over like a tiny, furry celebrity. Water bowl? Of course. Treats? Naturally. Existential conversation about her feelings on ducks? Possibly. She left the restaurant with a smug expression and the kind of tail-wag that says, “I deserve this.” Bottom line: incredible views, heartwarming hospitality, delicious food, and a dog who now refuses to eat anywhere less than lakeside. Hotel Alexander, we salute you—with forks raised and tails wagging.

Schönes Hotel um Ausflüge rund um den See zu unternehmen und am Abend das Bad zu geniessen. Das Restaurant hat eine grosse gedeckte Terrasse. Sehr gutes Frühstückbuffet und auch schön fürs Abendessen

The swimming pool, the views on the lake, the location, and how kid friendly it was! They were super lovely and super accomodating. The location is superb and it is absolutely adapted to kids (they even gave our little one a bathrobe for his size!).

The beds were unfortunately very hard which made our rest not as good as we thought it would be. But that was the only thing!

I got the day spa voucher for this hotel for my birthday. I had one entire day inside the spa, which I have to say it is nice…the spa has a pool inside and a pool outside, it was a rainy day so outside was really cold and I have to say water was too cold, for me and my friend wasn’t enought warm to enjoy. Pleasant was the sauna area and all these beautiful old rooms inside. With spa day we got also to have lunch there, at the restaurant, lunch was good, service was a bit pushing to be honest, but we enjoyed it anyway. The spa has really a beautiful view. Service at the spa receptionist was really good and professional, really welcoming. We loved the bed full with water, to relax, and the fact you can have tea and water whenever you want. Generally I would like to come back there, I just hope water will be warmer. Marika and Claudia
