Le personnel: professionnel et aimable. Avec un remerciement particulier pour Luciano qui a été spécialement juste dans ses mots, son service et qui nous a fait nous sentir si bien.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026The food was amazing, amount and quality was simply outsanding! the pools and spa are also very cool! atmosphere in the hotel is super relaxing and had a luxury feel. There is a very nice walk near the hotel with stunning views, I highly recommend it! I believe the management team does an amazing job. The hotel is very well run. I highly recommend the stay.
There was no air conditioning in the room. I had to keep the window open, which was great. However, my windows were facing street, which was a bit noisy.

Having stayed in many luxury hotels across Switzerland, what sets the ERMITAGE apart is how thoughtfully it anticipates every aspect of the guest experience. The guided hikes are an exceptional addition that we have rarely seen elsewhere. Christian and Ruth were excellent guides and ere a real highlight of our stay. A genuinely exceptional hotel that understands what makes a stay special.

I found the decor a bit dated. The bathrooms are in need of refurbrishment. The hotel is not in Gstaad but in a neighbouring village.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026L'ensemble du personnel est très agréable. Le matelas était top, les possibilités de rangement impeccables, on avait une petite suite. La nourriture bonne, surtout le petit déjeuner, il manque un peu le bio !
En été un peu chaud sous le toit. Le garage un peu cher, mais bon. En utilisant le même garage sans l'intervention de l'hôtel la journée coûte moins cher.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026We had a wonderful weekend at the Ermitage and honestly can't wait to come back. The staff really made the difference — always around when you need something, never intrusive, and clearly happy to help. The hotel is much bigger inside than it looks, with lovely spacious areas: a great restaurant, a beautiful spa, a terrace, a bar, and even a properly equipped gym, which is rare. Everything is spotless and you can feel the attention to detail everywhere. Gstaad has become our yearly summer weekend tradition, and this is one of the best places to stay. The village is just 10 minutes away by train, or you can simply hike straight from the hotel and relax. Highly recommend.

Très bon restaurant avec menus a choix chaque soir, sans parler des buffets salades et fromages. Les activités de randonnée, yoga, aqua-gym sont incluses dans la réservation. Un 5 étoiles de qualité dans un Oberland Bernois toujours aussi paradisiaque. Je reviendrai à nouveau sans hésiter et je m'en rejouis déjà.

Cleanings was good , but in the room the temperature was very high was impossible to sleep 🥵 And was full of flies in the lobby and the restaurant, and really it’s not nice during the dinner to catch the flies .

The staff always friendly and ready to assist you in order to resolve any problems. Dog freindly ( and I mean it - it really is dog friendly, they even offer a dog bath) and from the manager to the chef, they all are really dog friendly! Always lovely atmosphere! Just perfect!

This seems to be a hotel that is great if you like to ski and a nice spa area and sauna relaxing room and pool. The staff are all nice efficient and super friendly. My suite was large and new, huge closet and large bathroom with steam shower and free standing tub. All very clean. There is a bit of noise in the morning, the train woke me up, but no noise of other guests or doors. The breakfast is fresh and a large choice, the dinner menu is great and the cake buffet in the afternoon is the best all home made and lots of vegan choices! The dine room set up is very charming a lot of small rooms with different themes and you sit on the same tale with the same waiter which is very comfortable.
