Reviewed Sep 13, 2026L'endroit est super, au bord du lac, malheureusement nous avons eu une chambre qui aurait besoin d'être rafraichît. La salle de bain était vieux, et ça sentait un eu le moisi. Mais nous savons qu'il y a des chambres qui sont beaucoup mieux.
Notre chambre devrait être refaites, et la salle de bain aussi. Une douche à la place de la baignoire serait le top du top.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026The location is absolutely spectacular...right at the shoreline of the lake with views across the mountains into the alps. Lovely terrace restaurant with great local dishes. Rooms were comfy and clean. Would definately stay here again.
Breakfast buffet was a little limited compared to other similar hotels, but still perfectly adequate.

Das Badezimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber. Duschen in der Badewanne für ältere Personen vielleicht schwierig.

Very nice restaurant (opposite the building but belonging to the hotel) with very friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast (and food in general) very good, authentic and for Swiss circumstances not too expensive.
It´s not a luxury hotel but for this everything was fine and nothing negative to signal.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026We love the fact that this hotel was just across the lake! Waking up to that view is indescribable! Hotel is in between two train stations which makes the location perfect! The hotel also has an elevator which makes everything convenient. Our room was very spacious, making packing and unpacking easier. We arrived at the hotel around 10pm, and staff was already gone for the day, but instructions were emailed to us on where to find keycards. Shuttle service to closest train station was also a game changer especially if you're carrying a lot of luggages! If youre looking for nice and quiet place to stay with a view, book this hotel!
Switzerland can sometimes gets humid. Our rooms have huge windows you can easily open to get some cool breeze, but there are days when there is no breeze at all so having an electric fan should be more helpful. It is located in a small town, so make sure if you are arriving late that you have already eaten dinner as the closest restaurant to the hotel closes early.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Le déjeuner était excellent. Le personnel nous a contacté et nous a offert des facilités vu notre heure tardive. Ils ont pris en charge notre stationnement. Nous avons même été servi en français. Nous avons manqué de temps et nous aurions aimé profiter davantage des lieux. Il y a un endroit fabuleux pour plonger dans l'eau juste en face de l'hôtel.
Nous aurions dû prévoir plus de temps :)

La ora 6.00 am pe terasa etajului superior o discuție insuportabila între 3 persoane, inclusiv la ora 23.00 când s-au cazat în hotel aceleași discuții și zgomote puternice. Chiar unele persoane nu pot face diferența între un hotel și o gară ?

L’hotel e l’arredo sono molto molto vecchi e hanno bisogno della restrutturazione importante. Il mocket al primo piano è quasi nero da così tanto è stato usato. I mobili, l’arredo della stanza sono molto tristi - rubinetti, interruttori, prese - tutto è datato. Ovviamente non c’è ne l’aria condizionata ne un frigobar per poter tenere l’acqua fresca.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Feines Frühstücksbuffet. Die Zimmer sind z.T. alt, aber sehr sauber. In den oberen Stockwerken einige sogar mit Blick auf den See (siehe Bild). Sehr ruhig während der ganzen Nacht, erst ab 6 Uhr wird es etwas laut von der Hauptstrasse. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Der Essensraum für das Frühstück (den ich schon von früher kenne, als er noch Teil des ehem. Restaurants war), ist in die Jahre gekommen und müsste dringend saniert werden (als erstes: Teppich raus!) Das Personal an der Reception war zeitweilig etwas überfordert mit dem normalen Ein- bzw. Auscheckvorgang, weshalb sich ab und zu längere Wartezeiten ergaben. Die Preise sind recht hoch, aber im Vergleich mit den umliegenden Hotels im Rahmen.

Helteisellä säällä tämä uimaranta nousi koko hotellimajoituksen ehdottomasti parhaaksi yksityiskohdaksi. Aamiainen oli aivan ok, ja huone oli tilava. Helteellä on hyvä ottaa huomioon, että huoneissa ei ole ilmastointia, mutta jonkinlainen tuuletin huoneessa oli, mikä vähän helpotti.

Viel Lärm nach 22.00 von anderen Gästen und vom Restaurant, unpraktische Dusche, Frühstück erst um 7.30, sodass wir Stress hatten, unseren Zug zu erreichen( bei 35 Grad sollte man früher frühstücken können.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026We stayed in the chalets and it was beautiful! It was very close to the Brienz West station (7 min walk) which we used to travel back and forth to Interlaken area by train. We also took the boat across Brienz to Isetwald. We loved that Brienz was so quiet and charming! The hotel restaurant was overlooking the brilliant lake with great service and breathtaking views! We didn’t have time for breakfast (although it looked fantastic) because of a jam packed itinerary but they were nice enough to give us a coffee to go! The hotel was clean, spacious and lovely!! The beds were comfy and the decor so cute! Highly recommend this stay!!
It was difficult to take our luggage up the stairs to get to the chalets. The ceiling is a bit low and it was a little noisy when the people above us came home. Would maybe have liked screens on windows as it was very hot (with no air conditioning) and concerned about critters coming in the open windows. Maybe would have liked coffee/tea in room as Brienz was VERY quiet at 7:00am! Minor inconveniences to be fair.

They were very stingy with towels and pillows despite paying for two rooms that can accommodate four people. There were two of us and we got exactly two thin towels and pillows. The street is very noisy with windows open.
