The location is excetional. Completely. Non smoking place, breakfast was good simple and healthy..they are kind of strict with check inn and check outs. Balconies are beautiful

Welcoming treats for pets but not children unfortunately, no muffins or any sweet item in the breakfast for kids.should add at least some flavor for kids in the breakfast.

the location was great, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was adequate North American style.

Room was excellent. It was a suite & fully equipped right down to the dishwasher. We were able to cook a nice meal. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast could have had more fruit. All they had was green apples that weren't very good. A fruit salad or even an orange would have been better.

The couch in our room was peeling & should be replaced.

In a beautiful place. Rooms were spacious.

There was no bar to sit and have a peaceful drink. On the Sunday breakfast (which was not very nice) was absolute chaos with people walking across the corridor with hot food with people coming in for an event and unloading coming down the same corridor and a severe lack of tables.

The only problem we had was the desk clerk was looking after us and said that room would be ready in few minutes. In the meantime he looked after another couple and went thru the whole process and gave them their key, while we are still waiting 10 minutes later.

A lovely resort right on the water. Convenient location if booked for a Steamship cruise. Beware of units with balconies that have obstructed views....ask for higher floors. The buffet breakfast was disappointing considering the high cost of the room & seating was very limited.

Centrally located at the wharf so walking to attractions is easy. The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were very helpful.

The children loved it…they have the best instincts of god things, how could we not love it! Beautiful hotel with all the right amenities, including the hot tub & pool. And it was a full 2-bdrm suite with individual full bathroom. Will plan a girl’s trip & stay here again.

Upon checkin for my reservation for 2 nights at Residence Inn Gravenhurst, I immediately noticed the lack of cable tv service. I understand that this is obviously an issue beyond the control of the hotel, and they are relying on the service from their cable provider. However, problem solving and their response to the inconvenience to their customers is within their control. Other concerns I have were regarding the condition of the room I was staying in. There is a quite visible hole in the sofa, there is water damage and mould around the bathroom door and moulding, and the stain from the vanity is peeling away. When I asked to speak to the manager on the second day with no cable service, the associate informed me that he was unable to come to the front desk and would be leaving shortly, but they did offer me his card and a chance to contact him. My wife and I were so disappointed with our experience that we elected not to stay the second night of our reservation. I did contact the manager via email, and now after 36+ hours have had no response. Being one of the leaders in the hospitality industry, I expected more from Marriott. Also quite interesting that the feedback survey (that is linked to the site) was not included in my checkout confirmation email, so unable to post a critical review on their website. Furthermore, using the Marriott Bonvoy corporate site, I was able to write a concern, though unable to actually submit, and certainly unable to attach photos. So, best to rely on reviews from 3rd party unbiased sites.

The location is great, with a beautiful view of the lake and all sorts of options within walking distance. I'd also highlight the breakfast, which exceeded my expectations - great variety and absolutely delicious. My family and I had a very positive experience with the staff too. Everyone was helpful and kind, especially Nicole, who was always around at breakfast, incredibly sweet with our 5-year-old, and even shared some great beach recommendations with us!

he room could benefit from an update, particularly the bathroom. Breakfast was quite busy, and even though a meeting room was set up with additional seating options, many guests were still searching for seats outside or in the lobby. Better signage directing guests to the overflow seating area would make a big difference!

Room was well designed and appointed. Kitchenette was great. Sunset sitting on the balcony was terrific. Breakfast had great variety and was good. Liked the cold brew coffee.

Bathtub was slippery, a mat for showering would be helpful.

We loved the location and the view from our balcony. The pool was lovely with lots of windows.

The tv in the living room was very small. The breakfast hours were early and short.

I stayed at this hotel last night and was disappointed by the excessive noise throughout the night, which made it very difficult to sleep. The air-conditioning system appeared to cycle on and off approximately every 15 minutes, creating continuous disturbance. In addition, there was a very loud recurring noise from an unknown source, along with noticeable dripping sounds that seemed to come from dishwasher. The room definitely needs some improvement too.

We love staying here. The breakfast is exceptional with lots of choices, hot and cold...very filling. We asked to change the initial room because it was a little dark and the staff accomodated our request.. we were very pleased. The staff is very friendly.

Not that it was in their control, but the weather was cold. But because of the close proximity to a couple of things, we were able to walk the boardwalk.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room attractive and comfortable and nicely designed. The included breakfast offered lots of hot and cold options. Our stay exceeded expectations

The location is just so beautiful! Hotel is great! My second time staying and ill look forward to returning! Sunset on the lake was stunning We walked the path to the gazebo and enjoyed the views! Loved the fire pit in the courtyard! Beautiful property!

The staff were all so friendly, professional, and well spoken. The breakfast kitchen was very well run with friendly staff and quality food--especially the cage-free eggs. The suite was perfectly designed. It made a huge difference in comfort that I could open the bedroom window for fresh air. The balcony is a great feature. The suite was spotlessly clean, and there wasn't a hint of chemicals or air fresheners.

Home away from home

Highly recommend this beautiful Inn. The service was exceptional (especially Blair) who found us the perfect room and gave excellent recommendations on places to eat (Muskoka Surf & Turf and The Cliffside). It was clean, quiet, the breakfasts were delicious, the bed comfy. The kitchenette was a bonus to have along with the fireplace in our room. Will definitely be back here again.

Room was roomy and you can have someone in the living room and the pullout and not see them. That side is separate, nice balcony off the bedroom, good beds and linens.

Hot water was an issue. Staff were helpful in giving us a key to another unit to shower. I think someone should be on staff or on call to fix this. No hot water in this weather is unbearable.

Beautiful on the waterfront.

Had an unpleasant experience by falling in a slippery tub to shower. We were there for 5 nignts, there was no follow-up, no one asked the rest of the week how I was doing, I spent 8.5 hours in a hospital emergency department, thus loosing a days vacation also. I approached Marriott on the incident, they initiated a case number, referred it to the hotel and again NO follow-up. This process happened twice with the case number. Needless to say I will NOT go back to this establishment and Marriott was totally ineffective to deal with. A passing the buck process to say the least.

Everything was superb. Not a single thing I can point out that went wrong.

The view from our balcony was beautiful. Our kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast in lobby had a wide variety and delicious.

Great hotel! Stayed here for a wedding that was in Port Carling. Glad I did. Went by other reviews and the hotel and town is more modern with more facilities than the towns north of Gravenhurst. Worth the 20 to 30 min drive. Room very nice and spacious. Young lady who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. Great pool and hot tub. Very clean. Breakfast good also. Was very busy the morning we were there and was very surprised how well the staff managed the cleaning and stocking of the breakfast area. Service is really top notch here!
