Everything. Grand Hotel Fasano has a very special kind of elegance, one that never needs to be overstated. Its setting on Lake Garda is exceptional, and the gardens, architecture and views create a wonderfully serene atmosphere. The service was impeccable throughout our stay. It is a hotel with history, character and a true sense of identity.
Nothing to mention. The experience was impeccable from beginning to end, and every detail was entirely in keeping with a hotel of this calibre. A little upgrade on the night restaurant will be great, because all people are very kind but I want to see a better food, like the lunch?, breakfast or lunch
The setting was the perfect environment for a European tour. Lake Garda was fabulous.
My last night I had a very bad experience on the terrace with the servers in all. I was ignored and it took me an hour and fourty minutes to get a salad and butter to go with the bread the brought. They servered everyone around me but never even looked in my direction. Finally after an hour and fourty minutes I got fed up because I could not get anyone to bring me a bill. I was the first guest to arrive at 5:15pm. The only female server walked right past me to welcome a couple that followed me in. The maitre’d never checked on me. I left at 6:40pm. As I left the terrace I saw the maitr’d visit my table for the first time to clear the dishes. Previous to this evening, I was determined to visit again but after this experience, I do not think I will.
Sensationell. ..... !!!!!!!!
Niets.
Super služby ,nenašel jsem chybu
😆
A beautiful stay in an excellent location, with direct access to the lake and a stunning garden.
What I didn’t like was the arrogant attitude of some staff members and the lack of attention to detail. The property also feels dated and could be better maintained.
The entry level rooms are quite horrible
schönes Hotel mit hervorragendem Service
nichts
Real old school grand dame of a hotel - great location on the lake. food was good as was the service throughout. We were in the new wing and the room was dsiappointing, good size and had everything but the interior looked like an afterthought, was more motel set up than 5 star hotel which was the only disappointment.
We recently spent 3 nights at Grand Hotel Fasano. We were delighted with the hotel - the room was spacious and beautifully decorated - we booked a lake view room and it was well worth the additional charge with amazing and immediate views. Despite being close to the bar, it was also quiet. A little more counter space in the bathroom would be helpful - but again really well appointed. We dined at the more casual osteria where food, service and view were great. Breakfast is in the same area and was a real highlight - calm, serene, lots of tables, and excellent service. We were so pleased to not only have a very comprehensive buffet , but also an à la carte menu which had lovely options. You can swim in the lake, or one of three pools, and there was never a shortage of sun loungers or sun umbrellas. We would love to return one day.

Super nettes Personal
Stayed for 4 nights in July 2026. Hotel itself is good. It looks great, the staff are attentive and friendly (even though you know it’s forced). The pool and spa area is very good too and was never too busy. They have paddle boards and canoes you can use on the river so cannot fault them on any of this. The room we had (executive room) was spacious, had every amenity but with a waste of space room. Overall the room was very good though. What we did have issues with is the general level of service and the over pretentious meal choices in the restaurants. We ate in every restaurant, the sea food restaurant was ok but very limited if you don’t like sea food. Service in there was slow. The Michelin restaurant had the best service but the worst food. We chose from the à la carte menu and although it was presented very well, the combination of flavours was awful. The bistro, the terrace and room service all have the same menu and options are very limited. Burger, club sandwich, Caesar salad, tagliatelle, tuna salad, lasagne. Very limited and everywhere. The magnolia restaurant offered a make your own salad which was very good. However the service there was the worst of the lot. Took us forever to order. An Italian couple next to us sat down 5 minutes after us, ordered and had their food before we’d even been offered drinks. It was that bad. I think it was because we asked to move tables to be in one the better locations. I ordered an espresso for afterwards which never turned up but we still got billed for it. Very poor and I did make a complaint over it. Equally as bad was the pool side ordering. Great that there was a QR code you could use to order through your phone. Not so great was the time you had to wait for it, if it turned up at all. Supposedly this is open until 7pm. We ordered drinks at 6:30 and never received them. When we went to the bar serving them at just before 7, we were told the bar had shut and couldn’t take the order at 6:30. No feedback at the time, just took the order and ignored it. Wet very poor. Not what you expect from a very expensive 5 star hotel. I personally wouldn’t recommend the hotel but I can see why it does appeal. If you like pretentiousness and a bit of pomp and snobbery then this is for you. I prefer good service and staff that genuinely care.
The property and staff are next level, and everything was exceptional from the service to the food. All the little extras make this place very special.
Beautiful, classic and elegant hotel that’s right on the water. The staff were so considerate and attentive and the breakfast was exceptional
If you want to explore lake Garda, it’s not the easiest location and would require a car. Also the outdoor pool is on the smaller side and more suitable for children
Just a quality experience that radiates luxury and class
Liked it all
Beautiful hotel in a great location. We got the Deluxe Lake View Room, and that was definitely the right decision, as the room was huge and had a stand-alone tub and a large balcony. We loved the outdoor bar and the cocktails were incredible. We met Rama the bar manager who came over to chat with us about his cocktails and he was the nicest guy. Also loved the restaurant manager. Swimming in the lake was one of the highlights of our trip, particularly with how hot it was, and we were so happy we chose a hotel right on the lake. We loved the location in general; it was quiet and peaceful, but we were still able to walk to the town of Gardone Riveria and to some other restaurants in the area. All in all, a wonderful experience with great atmosphere and great service, would love to return!
La particolare attenzione a tutto
Niente
One of our best stays in Italy. The food, the staff, the room the property were all perfect. I have zero complaints. We stayed at GHF for 4 nights over July 4th weekend. It is located in a very quiet and quaint town, where you can walk to shops and restaurants but also feel secluded and tucked away. We visted Salo and Riva del garda which were beautiful but we preferred the privacy of Gardone Riviera. I wish I could write an extensive review about every single staff member that we met. The GM, the front desk staff and concierge were all very responsive, kind and always available. Malaika was very kind and even helped us with dinner recommendations when the concierge was busy with someone else. We had two small toddlers with us 2 and 1 yr old. I am very self conscious about my kids behaving badly or crying/screaming at meals etc. I know they can't help it but I also know that others would like to enjoy a meal without crying kids nearby. The hotel made sure we were ALWAYS accommodated with amazing children's meals, the waiters all checked in with my boys and made them smile. Mattia at the restaurant and bar was incredible and so kind. My husband was actually upset that we went to other hotels (lake como and dolomiti) during our trip and we hope to spend at least a week there next time!
Top Ausstattung und super gepflegt
Excellent setup and service. Beautiful property and friendly staff.
Alles!
Siehe oben. Da fällt mir nichts an.
The grounds and view were very pretty
Room was terrible. Not worthy of a 3 star hotel
We arrived here with great expectations of staying for 5 days in an Amazing hotel on the lake. We were celebrating my 80th birthday and our wedding anniversary . Unfortunately the hotel let us down immediately by giving us what is probably the worst room in the hotel. Avoid room216 ! It was very small , basic and although it had a balcony looking over the lake it did not redeem it. The bathroom was so small there was a 2 inch step into it which I tripped on immediately , the door opened inwards and hit the bidet and toilet. There was a tiny basin which had been cut out to allow the door to open. It was worse than any cruise ship we have ever been on .We complained and were told there were no other rooms available ! The Aircon didn’t work , nor did the TV. The bed creaked butWe had no choice but to use the room for 1 night. After much hassle the next day which was actually my birthday they told us they could give us another room but only for 2 days but then we would have to move again! After getting on to our London agent she confirmed that we would indeed have to move. Thursday came and we heard nothing and despite repeated requests . It wasn’t until 2.00pm that we were told we were moving . This room was fine , although I must say the bathroom room was still very small but at least had a sliding door. Had we been given the 3rd room initially there would have been no problem . It totally ruined the experience for us. It is a pity because the hotel itself is lovely . It is on the lake and the gardens and pool are beautiful . Most if the staff are delightful. Breakfast is excellent and in a lovely room . We ate one night in the fish restaurant which was only ok . The pool bar was good and the lunch offerings fine. It is a long walk25 mins to Gardone the nearest town. A taxi cost 20 euros each way . We thought it expensive to say the least , it takes 5 mins. That added 40 euros a night onto our evening meal. We could not understand why the hotel didn’t have a courtesy bus . . It makes total sense . It was such a pity and we will not be returning .
As relaxed a holiday as we could have wished for. Excellent facilities, superb concierge (Stephano) and always a choice of sunbeds. Loved every minute of it. The only downside, which is admittedly a rather small point, was the toaster at breakfast. They should sell tickets for timed entry. My toast had to do 6 laps (a new world record) just to get a bit of colour. The light on my iphone would have toasted it quicker.
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It is located in a great spot and had an amazing layout, breakfast, and spa. The room was great and everything was perfect.....except the bed!! Ugh the worst!
Only the bed!! Such a sad thing because I would stay here for a week next time but the bed is just miserable.
What a gorgeous setting and amazing building
The rooms on the street side were a bit noisy
The location was beautiful! The staff was amazing!
Posizione, servizio, cortesia.
Niente, tutto molto gradevole.
Wunderbar gelegen an Gardasee
Unser Zimmer hatte keinen Seeblick sondern zur Straße
Relaxing spot - lovely gardens. Bar terrace was great for evening cocktails. Spa and Sauna area large and easy to use. Very helpful staff. Small details- wine on arrival, chocolates left in the room every day, local sweets in reception.
The service in this hotel very sadly does not live up to the setting. A few small examples: on no day did any of the pool staff ask if we needed or wanted water or a drink of any kind; there was no milk for coffee in the rooms and we had to ask for it; at breakfast the toaster took 3 or more times to create toast; the food in Pescatore was pretty woeful, we were advised not to eat in Il Fagiano as the we might be equally disappointed; the service in Pescatore lacked even the basics of any basic restaurant ability to communicate between staff; there were no wine glasses in the room; the lunch/bar/room food menu is the same and is simply not up to scratch for the price; some of our pillows had no protectors and had minor stains on the pillow; the room design was somewhat lacking in privacy; the Guest Relations Manager seemed to have trouble relating to what it means to be a Guest. I sincerely think that the management need to have some honest conversations in order to provide a much better overall Experience, not simply an experience based upon the Building, the Grounds and the Setting. At no point in any service was I asked if things were okay - why not ? Was there any Hotel survey ? I saw no Management curiosity as to what we thought of our days. It was not what we have normally experienced either in terms of "fine dining" or a Leading Hotel of the World member. The food and service was far better at the many local restaurants - I have never stayed in a five star hotel where I felt unable to eat in the Hotel in the evening.
I really enjoyed Grand Hotel Fassano. Great atmosphere. Great service. Would go back!
Beautiful hotel and very well maintained. Delicious breakfast. Staff is very accommodating and they even were able to upgrade us for free on request
Nothing, i would happily visit again
Everything about this hotel was a dream. From the moment we stepped in, we were in the lap of luxury, never lifting a finger. Breathtaking views from every corner - especially our room and the the breakfast area. Incredibly attentive staff who go out of their way to make your stay special, including the concierge contacting us a month in advance to help us plan a few excursions through third parties. There is more than enough seating by the lake and super comfortable to boot - with attentive employees and table service. The breakfast buffet is an absolute dream and my favorite piece of all was sitting there every morning with the birds, soft music, and delicious food. This was worth every penny and more and I'll be dreaming of this for years to come!
Parlava e capiva pochissimo l’italiano.
Pobyt cudowny az nie chciało się wyjeżdzał. Wszystko na najwyższym poziomie. Wspaniały personel, zawsze pomocny. Pyszne jedzenie. Strefa spa niesamowita. Czuliśmy się otoczeni opieka. Nasz wypoczynek był jednym z najlepszych i chętnie wrócilibyśmy.
You cannot fail to be wowed with the setting and the building, but the actual delivery of the total Experience I would say is questionable. The staff are highly attentive and highly trained in detail. The question is, does this really deliver a great Customer Experience and is it tailored to the Customer as you would expect in a Leading Hotel of the World and a Michelin Restaurant. Does the detail of the positioning of a fork or a napkin outweigh the importance of a meal that is tasty, satisfies and is delivered in a manner that enhances the Experience of the Setting. Every experience I had in this hotel was that the balance was wrong. There was a stiffness in the many junior staff who were clearly being trained and nervous to get things according to the book. In doing this, the service lacked fluidity and attention to the Customer. The menus were odd to say the least and lacked balance. The lunch, bar and room service menus are effectively the same and were not as good as a tourist lunch menu in any restaurant in Verona at half the price. They need to improve dramatically in my view.
The outside space was nice.
The bed was hard and not at all confortable.I was unable to sleep, that cannot happen in a 5 stars hotel. As well, there was nothing but water in the fridge and room to eat. No chips, peanuts, coca cola, nothing. The reception’s decoration looks like an office, not at all warm, neither elegant. The food dinner, was presented as soecisl snd esquisite, but had no interest at all.
The outdoor bar area was Very inviting and snacks were good.
Can’t think of anything.
Bellissima
Staff meraviglioso
The best hotel I've ever stayed in and we've just spent two nights in the Presidential Suite at the Tivoli in Florence followed by three nights at the Metropole in Venice. People say it's a bit pricey, but this luxury, service and amazing location doesn't come cheap. Brilliant and worth every penny.
This is a wonderful hotel. Service is superb, nothing is too much trouble. During the stay it was my wife's birthday and the hotel gave her a bottle of champagne and some lovely flowers. Quality of food is outstanding. We would definitely like to return.
The most beautiful hotel I’ve seen, like a piece of heaven on earth. True Italian luxury. The old 1888 years old architecture met modern standards in the best possible way. Every staff member was excellent and always there to help with everything.
This was a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were amazing and very attentive. The rooms were beautiful with amazing views. I would definitely visit again.
Pulizia e manutenzione top. Posto splendido cibo ottimo

Grand Hotel Fasano is not only beautiful, it is over the top comfortable. We were given an upgraded suite when we checked in and it was just lovely. We had been in a smaller hotel in Venice prior to our stay so we felt like we had really hit the jackpot when we saw our room. The manager gave us an over the top, extensive tour of the property and went into great detail about the room's amenities. When she left we looked at each other and said "we never want to leave this place". Lunch at Magnolia under the most gorgeous magnolia trees was such a treat. The hotel planned a boat ride for us at 4 pm the first day and arranged a driver to take us to Gargnano to catch a ferry to see Isola Del Garda... (I highly recommend doing this). We were only there two night but I wish it could have been longer so we could have enjoyed the spa and waterfront. 100% TOP KNOTCH EXPERIENCE
This Hotel is the epitome of classical Italian elegance, tastefully designed, with a beautiful spa, outdoor pool area and terrace overlooking the lake. Every member of staff was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, making this one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Having a Michelin star restaurant in the hotel was an added indulgence that made this perfect for our anniversary trip. There are lots of little added extras and great attention to detail, it really is difficult finding any negatives. I guess this depends on what you are looking for in a trip. We stayed for 4 nights and hope we can return!
tutto ....il top
Slightly tired communal areas and grounds. Main building better than annexing Villa Principe but that offers good value. Great dining options and very nice ambiance.
The Grand Fasano is undoubtedly a beautiful hotel, but there are several important considerations to be made. Unfortunately, the value for money has become increasingly difficult to justify. Several years ago, a double room with a lake view during the same period cost around €300 per night. Today, for the same room category and time of year, the rate has risen to a staggering €450. What is particularly surprising is that the condition of the rooms has not changed in the slightest: the same amenities, the same furnishings. The increase therefore feels entirely unjustified. Service quality: The service in the lobby also falls short of what one would expect from a five-star establishment. Waiting times are long: it takes quite a while before someone comes to bring the menu, and just as long to place an order. Moreover, the lobby itself is not especially welcoming. Unfortunately, the real issue with the hotel lies in its owners / management (the Mayr family). There appears to be little genuine interest in guest feedback, not even from long-standing clients. Suggestions for improvement and complaints are effectively disregarded. They seem to follow their own agenda, and there is a noticeable lack of international experience in managing guest relations. This is a pity, as it ultimately risks eroding the trust of their clientele. As for the restaurant, Il Fagiano is good, but far from exceptional. Having dined at many Michelin-starred establishments, I can say it does not compare. The menus have not been updated in years, and the prices are decidedly high for what is offered. Finally, a word of caution for prospective guests: the view over Lake Garda is truly magnificent, but if you book a room without a lake view, be aware that the hotel is located on one of the noisiest roads in the area. It is important to know what to expect. In summary, this is a hotel that relies heavily on its location and views, but no longer delivers the value or level of guest care one would expect from a property of this category.
My family and I just spent four glorious days at Grand Hotel Fasano. This was our second stay and we were beyond excited to return! The property is simply stunning, with fabulous views of Lake Garda. The staff go above and beyond to assist you and are always available to meet your needs. The hotel rooms are very spacious, well-maintained, and accommodating. Each of the restaurants offer a delectable menu, representing the local cuisine. And, the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of dishes to meet everyone’s appetite! We will DEFINITELY return!
GHF is beautiful, elegant, with a relaxed feel much to do with the warm, friendly and helpful staff. Staff is responsive and available. Accommodations are very nice, and housekeeping is wonderful. The property is stunning, and right on the lake. It is meticulously cared for, both outside and inside. Food, and breakfast buffett selections were amazing. Can't say enough about all the staff, with a special "shout out" to Guilia and Stefano, the concierge. Complete perfection.

The hotel was beautiful, the service was great as was the food. If you like to walk it is in walking distance to other areas
Absolutely everything, was amazing!
Nothing, just that we had to leave
Get ready for a dream vacation here. We were so very impressed with this hotel and ALL its facilities and dining options. We wished we could have stayed longer. One has to experience this hotel in person to truly appreciate how very special it is. The Grand Hotel Fasano on the Lombardy Rivera - the name says it all.
Stunning hotel Great staff excellent food most relaxing special hotel I have stayed at. The rooms are beautiful with lots of little touches The breakfasts are delicious and I will definitely be back Thanks for making our stay so special
Hotel Fasano was an excellent experience. The hotel accommodations, dining, spa and ambiance where amazing. From breakfast, to the gym, to returning home after site seeing and going to the spa, not to mention relaxing outdoors to end the day. Our trip was top notch and highly recommend
Service. Personal , Anlage am See
Kategorie
One of our favorite hotels in Italy. The property is breathtaking. The spa and pools were amazing, and the hospitality was outstanding. A woman named “Josie” (simplified name) who checked us in was one of the most kind people we met in all of Italy. She was so friendly and inviting and made us feel special after our wedding day. We only planned to stay one night but we just had to stay other night because it was such an incredible experience. The food was great, the drinks, just everything was above and beyond.
This is one of the best hotels i've stayed in the world. The staff provides superior customer service. Every person, every department, goes up and beyond to make your stay fabulous. The conceirge's are probably the strongest i've seen. They come in for the season, and they obviously pick well. The bar area on the lake has amazing servers! They make you so comfortable. The rooms, have air condoning, and you must only take a room in the main building with a view of the lake. The spa has so many fun areas. Not one or two, but seven or more, steam, jacuzzi, differnt types of saunas, a fun foot massage area, and a fun area to go from spa to outisde pool, with more types of water features. There is even a cold plunge. They have free valet service, and the Villa near by is one of a kind. Close enough to Salo, for a couple hour day trip. I'd recommend a lake view room. I couldn't get into the restaurants so I can't comment. One draw back, the queen beds, are two twin matresses pushed together, so you can feel the crack. owners need to get queen matresses, as the beds are never separated, it is on a queen frame!!!!
