La posizione è l'unico punto positivo della struttura, comoda per il centro e la stazione.

La camera era piccola e triste, con affaccio sul cavedio, non si poteva aprire la finestra né avere la luce naturale. E loro scrivono: "Vista città"! Scrivono anche "bidet", che invece non c'era. Del resto anche il bagno era decisamente piccolo. La colazione, essendo domenica, era prevista dalle 7:30: in realtà la cameriera non si è vista e sono venuta via senza poter avere un cappuccino, ma solo un po' di self service. Il tutto per un costo esagerato.

Dat was helemaal prima en een fijne start. Helaas viel mijn kamer daarna behoorlijk tegen. De airconditioning kon niet lager of hoger worden ingesteld dan 26 graden. Ik kon wel de blaassnelheid aanpassen, maar de pijltjes om de temperatuur te veranderen werkten niet. Daarnaast waren er meerdere zichtbare gebreken aan de kamer. Zo ontbraken de plinten en hing aan de kant van het bed de bekleding van het bed los (zie foto's). Hiermee ben ik naar de receptie gegaan, maar daar werden eigenlijk alleen de schouders opgehaald. Er werd verteld dat er tijdens het schoonmaken iets mis was gegaan, waardoor de plinten van de muur waren gekomen. Een oplossing of verdere hulp werd niet aangeboden. Ook de ligging van het hotel vond ik niet prettig. Omdat ik alleen op reis was, voelde ik me als vrouw niet veilig om alleen door de buurt te lopen. Dat heeft helaas ook invloed gehad op mijn verblijf. Al met al vond ik de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding niet goed. De kamer vertoonde meerdere gebreken en de manier waarop hiermee werd omgegaan, stelde mij teleur. Op basis van mijn ervaring zou ik dit hotel niet aanraden.

La ubicación es excelente, cerca de la estación de trenes y del centro historico. La atención de su personal un 10/10 y la habitación cumple lo requerido, buen baño.

Perfekte Lage. Nah am Bahnhof und direkt am Anfang des Zentrums. Sehr ruhig, obwohl an der Straße. Einfach und gut, sowohl das Zimmer, wie auch das Frühstück.

Muy buena ubicación, al comienzo de la parte peatonal de la avenida Independencia, donde hay de todo, negocios de todo tipo, lugares para comer, etc. A la vuelta del hotel hay un estacionamiento muy grande. El hotel es muy bonito, pequeño, confortable, excelente limpieza y el personal es muy amable. La habitación muy cómoda y la cama también. Se encuentra a 7 minutos caminando de la fuente de Neptuno, como lugar de referencia.

No hubo nada que no me gustara, no solo que todo me gustó sino que superó mis expectativas.

Das Hotel ist super gelegen zwischen Bahnhof und den Haupt-Sightseeing-Orten. Es gab auch selbst im kleinen Einzelzimmer eine Klimaanlage.

The receptionist helps us with our questions. They are very courteous and genuinely looking to help their customers.

The people serving in the breakfast area. I do not know if they are shy, or if it is the language barrier, but they are practically mute. They should be trained that at least speak the official language, after all we are in Italy. They don't look to their customer and avoid eye contact. I caught one lady one morning who was talking to the receptionist while in the breakfast area were about three table unattended, meaning that people had their breakfast already, they were gone, but the tables were with the dirty dishes still on. She finished her conversation with the receptionist and went directly back to the kitchen without checking the breakfast area. I ignored if that was her job or not. Perhaps that is the attitude.

The hotel is in a great location on one of the main streets in the city center. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Overall, everything was good.

This hotel was wonderful from the very welcoming and friendly reception where I was told they had upgraded me to a double room. The room was immaculate with lovely quiet air conditioning, kettle, fridge, ensuite modern shower and toiletries. Breakfast was included which was basic but adequate. I moved from Hotel Bologna Palace Centro which was disgraceful. Beware it has NO AIR CONDITIONING.

L'hotel Donatello è in una posizione comodissima, lo staff è gentile e professionale.

L'interno delle camere non è futuristico, le stanze migliorerebbero tantissimo con un rimodernamento, sia stilistico che tecnico, soprattutto nei bagni, ma nel complesso si sta bene.

Avevo pagato di più per avere un letto matrimoniale anziché un singolo...e abbiamo avuto 2 singoli con il lenzuolo sopra. E poi noi siamo arrivati di sabato alle 19 e avevamo detto all'addetta alla reception che la macchina era sui parcheggi blu...e lei invece voleva far pagare il parcheggio di 20 euro da loro quando in realtà era da pagare solo un ora perché dalle 20 in poi e la la domenica il parcheggio non si pagava... Non si fa così. ..dovrò ritornare a Bologna altre volte...ma a quest'hotel mai più

There was only a hand held shower over a bath and no shower curtain or screen. We found this a bit challenging.

Posizione strategica tra stazione ferroviaria e centro città

Purtroppo, nonostante fosse chiaramente indicata tra i servizi della struttura, l'aria condizionata non era funzionante, rendendo il soggiorno estremamente disagevole. È la prima recensione negativa che lascio dopo anni di viaggi in qualunque struttura/città, ma la ritengo necessaria perché soggiornare in estate a Bologna senza climatizzatore può essere, oltre che difficile, perfino un rischio, per persone più fragili. Lo split in camera andava continuamente in blocco (vedi foto) oppure funzionava solo in modalità ventilazione. Dopo la mia segnalazione, il personale del turno serale e notturno ha cercato senza successo di risolvere il problema. Un guasto può capitare in qualsiasi struttura ed è comprensibile, ma l'atteggiamento scontroso ricevuto al check-out è stato inopportuno, perché mi è stato detto prima che si trattava di un problema tecnico momentaneo, poi che probabilmente non avevo saputo utilizzare il climatizzatore, che in fondo la notte non era stata così calda da richiedere l'aria condizionata (a Bologna, in estate), infine che nessuno ci aveva obbligato a soggiornare lì (nonostante la prenotazione fosse prepagata). Non c'è stata minima disponibilità a trovare una soluzione adeguata, ma solo un piccolo sconto sulle uniche spese ancora da saldare (una bottiglia d'acqua e la tassa di soggiorno). Inoltre è rimasto il dubbio che la questione sia stata trattata con troppa normalità per essere un episodio del tutto imprevisto.

I liked this hotel and was given a bright bedroom with small private shower and toilet. I liked the minibar fridge and television which was in my bedroom. The hotel was located in the centre of Bologna which was great. It is a 5 minute walk from Piazza Maggiore so I easily walked to see the magnificant Basilica di San Petronio gothic church and the Santa Maria dei Servi church. There was a great restaurant on Piazza Maggiore where I stopped for lunch 'Bar Vittorio Emanuele@ and lots of other small cafes on the same street as the Donatello Hotel selling ice-cream, pizza and coffee. I recommend the Vanity Cafe and Cafe Eden also. I found the exclusive shopping centre GALLERIA CAVOUR with designer shops: Chanel ladieswear, Gucci clothes and shoes , Armani, Louis Vuitton handbags and Max Mara shop was nearby and this is near the investment banks and a lovely area of Bologna.

The location is excellent , I am 70 years old , and walked to railway station about 7 mins , every day and returned after dark.I especially liked the girls in the dance studio ! There are a few people sleeping on the opposite side of the road at night in shop door ways, they did not beg or bother me , I felt safe.My only negative point is that I wish I had stayed longer . 3 nights is not enough and I was heading for Mille Miglia in Modena. Went to the Industrial Museum in Bologna (inside old brick furnace, see images), that is very good 10/10 and Lamborghini factory tour is rushed, not as good or long as Maserati factory ! L'hotel è nel centro storico.

La camera è risultata molto rumorosa sia di giorno che durante la notte, rendendo difficile il riposo. Il bagno, privo di bidet, era estremamente piccolo, più simile a un ripostiglio che a un vero bagno, e presentava inoltre un persistente odore di fogna. Considerando il prezzo di 144 euro a notte, esclusi colazione e tassa di soggiorno, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è decisamente insoddisfacente e la sola posizione centrale non giustifica il costo richiesto. The room was very noisy both day and night, making it difficult to sleep. The bathroom, which lacked a bidet, was extremely small, more like a closet than a proper bathroom, and also had a persistent sewer smell. Considering the price of €144 per night, excluding breakfast and tourist tax, the value for money is decidedly poor, and the central location alone doesn't justify the asking price.

L’hotel Donatello è in una ottima posizione (tra la stazione e il centro storico), lo staff è gentilissimo e preparatissimo ma la struttura beneficerebbe molto di un rifacimento, dentro e fuori.

Va bene così, ma spero che troverete modo di svecchiare gli interni delle camere.
