Le Parador de Carmona que nous avons connu en 1995 n’a pas beaucoup changé, le bâtiment est toujours aussi impressionnant sur son promontoire dominant la vallée mais il a gagné en confort et prestations. Une piscine a été construite qui par ces grandes chaleurs est la bienvenue . Le parking est apprécié , le restaurant très agréable et le personnel charmant . Tout nous a conquis une fois de plus

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026The Parador de Carmona is a unique once-in-a-lifetime type of experience; it's built literally into a castle, and the rooms were spectacular, like a 5-star hotel room, with amazing views of the landscapes around the property. The restaurant in particular was so good: from the breakfast buffet to the lunch menu to the dinner service - it's one of the few hotels I have ever stayed in where I wanted to eat all three meals at the hotel. The facilities included an amazing swimming pool. Also, the weekend we stayed at the Parador was also the town of Carmona's Novena for their patron saint, so the town partied so much, and they were so welcoming.
The location was far from Seville, maybe a 45 minute car ride. Other than that though, the stay was amazing!

De kennis van de Engelse taal van het personeel muv de mensen achter de receptie. De term scrambled eggs was niet eens bekend bij de dames die het ontbijt begeleiden. En de getallen van 1 tot 10 evenmin bij het opnoemen van ons kamernummer. Maar verder behulpzaam en aardig. Wel was er waarschijnlijk te weinig personeel om het terras te bedienen omdat je zelf in de rij moest staan om je bestelling op te halen. Is voor zo'n hotel onder de maat. Verder ligt het hotel relatief ver van het sfeervolle centrum maar dat is vaker bij Paradors.

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026A wonderful historical building with amazing views. The hotel is pretty big, but you don't feel that at all; it's calm and peaceful, with a relaxed atmosphere, not too fancy (this is a compliment). The pool is huge and smartly laid out. The reception staff are helpful and welcoming, every single one of them. Restaurant prices are reasonable. Room very clean and spacious enough. Comfy bed and nice sheets. Good aircon in the room - very quiet. Overall, all the perks of a Parador.
My only note would regard the breakfast service. The restaurant/breakfast room is beautiful and the ambiance is great (quiet music, perfect lighting, nice table setting etc.) and I have no complaints about the food either (the choice is not huge, but the quality is good; really tasty fresh orange juice). However, the breakfast staff are neither very kind/approachable nor too efficient (even though I was eating there at 10am on weekdays, with only a handful of tables busy).

Nicht so gut hat uns gefallen, dass der Parador derzeit eine Baustelle in der Mitte hat, da archäologische Funde entdeckt wurden. Da kann der Parado zwar jetzt nichts dafür ist aber für den Gast etwas störend.

Noisy doors! In particular the door from the bar onto the terrace and the bedroom doors, all would benefit from being ‘soft close’. Yappy dogs! Couldn’t tell if they were inside or outside the hotel.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Ein unglaubliches Gebäude und ich habe noch nie in einem so bequemen Beistellbett geschlafen. Das Essen, Abendessen wie Frühstück, waren spitze.
Leider war der Pool nur von 11 - 21 Uhr geöffnet und so, da wir nur eine Nacht in dem Parador verbracht haben, nicht zugänglich. Zudem war es sehr schade, dass die restliche Anlage nicht zur Besichtigung geöffnet war.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Ce Parador construit sur l'Alcazar del Rey de San Pedro offre Une vue exceptionnelle sur la vallée de la Vega. Ses chambres rénovées sont spacieuses et confortables avec une literie de très bonne qualité et une grande salle de bain attenante. L'hôtel dispose d'un espace bar où l'on peut également commander des snacks ou des repas, d'un grand restaurant de bonne facture et divers salons. Le petit déjeuner (optionnel) à 22 euros propose un large choix salé ou sucré et l'on peut même commander des plats chauds à la demande (omelette, œufs brouillés, churros, etc.). La piscine est grande et propre et propose également un espace bar et restauration. Enfin les travaux mentionnés dans de nombreux commentaires sont finis et ne gênent plus les clients.
L'accueil est correct mais pourrait être perfectible, de même que le service au restaurant qui manque parfois de professionnalisme. Les toilettes à proximité de la piscine disposent bien d'un espace pour les PMR mais je m'interroge sur la manière dont les personnes concernées peuvent y aller puisqu'il faut descendre (et monter au retour) 95 marches pour accéder à la piscine située en contrebas de l'hôtel, donc inadapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Enfin, bien que très grande et propre la piscine manque un peu de profondeur (entre 1.10m et 1.50) et est davantage destinée aux familles avec enfants.

What we didn't realise was just how far it was outside Seville. Unfortunately my wife had her phone and card stolen in Seville we think in the cathedral, so if going be sure to leave valuables in the Hotel Safe.

Enjoyed Carmona however, be warned many of the restaurants close on a sunday/monday evening so plan this in for your trip. Highly recommend.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026De kamers zeer schoon ( zoals in alle Paradores)en prettig om er te verblijven vanwege oa twee luie stoelen. Zwembad met bediening was perfect. De locatie is super mooi met een schitterend uitzicht vanaf het terras en balkon. En het receptie personeel erg aardig. Airco was prima bij een zomerse temperatuur van 40 graden.
Een grote teleurstelling was dat er verbouwings / restauratie werkzaamheden gaande waren en het mooiste deel van het hotel de patio niet toegankelijk was. Ik had 3 kamers voor mijn familie geboekt specifiek voor de sfeer met name in de patio en dan constateer je bij aankomst dat het is afgesloten. Zou niet mogen voor die prijs. Ik had het op prijs gesteld dat ik het had geweten dan had ik zeker het familie uitje ergens anders geboekt. En misschien vanwege de bouwwerkzaamheden ervaarde ik het Bar en restaurant personeel minder vriendelijk was dan bij mijn voorgaande bezoek en andere Paradores.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Etablissement que nous fréquentons régulièrement depuis 30 ans. Cette année nous avons été upgradés car des travaux étaient en cours. L'hôtel bénéficie d'un complet rafraichissement. Les chambres ont été refaites (portes, clim, armoires de rangement, salle de bain bien équipées) ce qui apporte un vrai renouveau. Piscine et situation toujours aussi merveilleuses !!!! Proximité du village de Carmona à pieds et à 30 minutes de Séville en voiture.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026We stayed at this hotel with our family -- 2 couples in their 50s (one 70) and 3 people in their twenties. It is such a beautiful hotel -- staying in a castle is fun! The rooms were well-appointed and atmospheric. The pool is down a steep hill side, so take your drink and food with you, because you won't want to climb back up! We had drinks on the terrace overlooking the beautiful fields and then dinner in the dining room. It was one of the best dinners we had in Spain and the service was lovely. Breakfast the next morning was equally wonderful, with fresh-squeezed OJ and cookies from the nuns in Sevilla. It was spotlessly clean. We did hear noise from the room above us (it almost sounded like someone was dancing) and a high pitched squeal from some electronic device, but fortunately they both stopped after about 45 minutes. Overall this is a great value for the experience.

The pool bar was closed. Drinks prices weren't too bad for a hotel but €22 per person for breakfast seemed unreasonable.

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026Me impresionó el proyecto de arquitectura para la construcción del Parador, teniendo en cuenta que se realiza en 1976 sobre el emplazamiento de unas ruinas arqueológicas y cerca de los restos de un antigua alcázar. Está muy bien integrado en el entorno y añade belleza al conjunto historico. Hermosa si bien austera decoración interior, bonita recreacion de un esplendor pasado. Simpática atención del personal con un servicio muy correcto.
Me olvidé unas gafas en la habitación. Si bien las localizaron enseguida, me chocó que no me lo resolvieran ellos sino que me indicaron inmediatamente que gestionara yo su recogida en el Parador y envío a mi domicilio. No me parece una buena atención al cliente , máxime considerando que vivo en España.
