The breakfast at Thornton Hotel was absolutely exceptional! Everything was so beautifully presented, and the food was simply scrumptious. I enjoyed every single bite, and my friends and I couldn’t stop talking about how much we loved it. We all agreed that we’re definitely coming back. Next holiday, Thornton Hotel is where we’ll be! ❤️ What a beautiful and memorable breakfast experience.

Absolutely beautiful stay. Helpful staffs. Jessie at the reception and Carl in the restaurant. Wonderful people. Thanks

Lovely stay, comfortable and nice facilities.

beautiful venue attended for a wedding
the interiors are beautiful the hotel rooms are lovely and the bed was soooo comfy and the pillows
Friendly staff on arrival, clean & comfortable
All the pillows were very lumpy & uncomfortable 😣
Location and Spa
Management and service due to a ceiling leaking in the night, nobody cared enough to talk to us?

Not a lot
The room was dark with no air conditioning
Great location, lots of space, well maintained.
Nice hotel, really friendly staff.
Nothing really, lunchtime service was a bit slow but it added to the charm. We weren't in a rush
As it was a wedding the wedding venue was good
On check-in booking .com description clearly states complementary use of spa , when the breakfast was paid at Checkin enquired about spa and was informed as the room was booked room only it would cost £70 for the spa This I found quite distasteful as it was complementary in booking com
Fantastic location

It was pretty, the room was nice to be in and it was clean. The staff were really nice especially the bar staff!
everywhere I looked there were extra charges. Charges for having your room service brought on a tray I thought that was weird. Our stay was supposed to include a cream tea but on our arrival it was never mentioned and we were too shy to ask so that was our fault really.
Lovely hotel and spa, both spotless. Very welcoming staff, polite and friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable and good value for the money. Lovely little welcome for our wedding anniversary too. Highly recommended
Room size and bathroom was good. Staff were nice.
The lighting was very poor we only had bedside lights on wall and at entrance. Could not have curtains open when we were getting ready for wedding reception due to no privacy nets and were right near the room where people were on the grounds of the hotel could see straight into the room. The tv remote did not work because back was off and batteries kept coming out. Tried to call reception to report this but no one picked up.
We are just home from an overnight spa break at Thornton Hall - we booked via Wowcher including 1 nights dinner bed and breakfast, with full access to spa facilities and we believed treatments, however once we received booking confirmation from the hotel there weren't any treatments included - this seemed to be the fault of Wowcher and not Thornton Hall. We paid an additional £200 to add treatments on which made a 1 night stay pretty pricey at over £500! The treatments however where incredible with Elemis products, super relaxing! The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and the spa has all the amenities including sauna, steam room, himalayan salt wall, snow cave (out of service on our date) experience showers and infrared therapy wall as well as indoor pool and outdoor jacuzzi. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa but be warned it gets extremely busy from around 3pm! We grabbed lunch in the Brasserie restaurant which was lovely and quick service. We decided to order room service in the evening (pizza and a curry) which was quick and friendly service from the team, the food was fine but extremely overpriced in my opinion. After paying over £500 for just the stay and treatments, we checked out with another £120 bill, it would have been £180 but we had £60 in dining vouchers to reduce this - when you consider that bill included just 2x Sandwiches, 1x Curry, 1x Pizza, 2xSoft Drinks 3x Alcoholic Beverages and robe hire (not included in spa access - never experienced this anywhere else) - its pretty steep! We did thoroughly enjoy our stay, the hotel, grounds and staff all fantastic just be prepared to spend some money whilst you're there!
Thornton Hall Spa is a beautiful, peaceful escape — luxurious, relaxing and the perfect place to switch off, unwind and feel completely pampered. Another lovely stay at Thornton Hall — I’ve been many times before and have always been so well looked after by the wonderful team. The outdoor hot tub, indoor spa and pool are all beautiful and make it such a relaxing place to unwind. There are also some great offers on cocktails and dinner packages. The roast dinners were lovely and I really enjoyed the meat, although the beef had quite a lot of fat on it this time, which wasn’t quite what I expected to see on my plate — it’s not normally like that, though, so perhaps just a one-off. A special thank you to Ken the Butler, Vanessa on Reception, Lara and Shannon in the restaurant, Laura from Reservations and all the breakfast team. You all helped make our stay so enjoyable. Thank you, Thornton Hall, for another lovely stay — I’ll definitely be back!”
Lovely large room, attractive main building and extensive grounds. Friendly staff
Drinks fairly expensive, breakfast at £23.50 per person for a self service buffet style also a bit pricey
Room was comfortable however we were awoken by the fire alarm that went off early morning which really put a damper on the stay
Amazing place, my favourite spa !!
Lovely weekend for my husbands birthday
Lovely hotel with beautiful gardens and surroundings. The restaurants, food, service all very good. Clean and comfortable bedroom which was very nicely decorated.
Nice area
Rooms too dark No lift Decor dated Bit like an expensive travelodge
Room was nice and clean
My takeaway meal was not complete. TV did not work?
Good parking
Could do with Air Conditioning
Everything. Set up and staff very professional

Staff in dinining room at breakfast were excellent
Rooms were really hot
Lovely surprise visit for our 25th anniversary for our family.. From the moment we stepped through the door the staff can't do enough for you Out room was beautiful massive comfortable bed loads of sockets with USBs in Never before have I been able to watch the news whilst having a shower but I could here because of a television in the wall We used the spa and swimming pool, which was very nice a bit cold, but the warm jacuzzi was fab also used the sauna, the steam room and the outdoor hot.tub The staff in the lawns bar and restaurant were really cheerful, professional nothing was to much trouble The only negative for me was you do have a frigde In your room, but because it's inside a cupboard. It's not cold it actually radiates heat and the water inside was room temperature That's why I only gave 4 stars as a fridge, in a room is a dealbreaker for me, as I do like cold drinks
Excellent value for one night. Good excellent, staff obliging and near Port Sunlight. Could recommend
Staff were lovely and friendly, hotel was beautiful, food was great and the spa was brilliant, would deffo come here again!
Comfortable room; ate at Brasserie in the spa - recommend the meat balls but salted cod was oversalted ! V G breakfast in smart dining with lovely service. Downstairs room with easy access to car park using French windows.
Stayed here for one night in the Penthouse Suite. I paid around £370 for the one night so quite expensive. When arriving the staff were very nice, however the room fell well below the standard you would expect. Firstly, the air con was broken and no body told us until we enquired how to use it as the room was very very warm. We were told 2 small fans were in the cupboard. As you can see from the images, the windows were absolutely filthy. Beneath the TV in the bedroom was exposed holes in the wall, covered poorly with a wooden box. This is not what you would expect for a room of that price. Also, one of the sinks in the bathroom kept moving out of place and the finish throughout the bathroom including sealant was very poorly done. Positively, the food was outstanding and the whole dining experience was exceptional. Both the evening meal and breakfast were of high quality and staff were fantastic at both. No issues with food at all. During our stay, we had access to the spa. Unfortunately this also fell below the standard expected for the cost. We were unable to use any of the outdoor facilities due to other people staying in them well over the time specified. The staff in the spa were very nice and professional. We were also unable to get drinks in the spa as the intercom was not answered on multiple occasions. Overall, this is a decent hotel, however the standard of the room was well below the standard expected for the price paid. I would urge anyone staying here to think before booking the “top” room and save yourself some money. This is a shame as most components of the stay were very good and the staff work very hard, they have just been let down by other factors.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Thornton Hall made all the more special by the staff as they went above and beyond to make you feel at ease and very welcomed. The spa facilities were absolutely amazing!!! We felt very rejuvenated and calm after each visit and cannot wait for our next trip 👍👏👏👏👏👏 We loved our room It was very tasteful, clean to a high standard and very comfortable…, excellent 👍 the best spa break ever ! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Spa facilities, quality of food
Had to move room as wedding barbecue placed next to our balcony. Party noise until 2.00 in morning. Room not clean, remote control missing, coffee maker didn’t work. Poor value for money.
Where do I begin! If you’re thinking about, or planning a wedding, you HAVE to consider the amazing packages here. We got married here in August and from when we booked till the event…and even afterwards. The staff felt more like friends than a vendor. Me and the bridesmaids stayed over the night before and had the best relaxed day in the spa and then had a meal in the restaurant (not the first time and not the last as going back again in September!). We hired the dressing room for the day of the wedding and had the luxury of Madeline and the girls from the Hair Spa come over and give us our own glam squad experience. I had brought in my own hairdresser who have I have been going to for decades but I seen there talent and would recommend them for both of you need it. Jack, our man of the day, was perfect and made sure I was totally relaxed and super Ken the concierge was on hand to just be there to help with anything. The wedding went perfect! So relaxed, organised, food was fantastic! Guests loved the music from DJ Tony and the bar staff, evening security team and Dale who took over from Jack we’re just great at ensuring our guests has the best time. A special shout out to the two ladies on our hire casino tables who made the children there feel so welcome and included. So much so that wanted any memories such as playing cards to have as souvenirs to carry on their play at home. They were so friendly, welcoming, patient and happy we couldn’t have asked for me! The breakfasts were phenomenal with plenty of options and the staff there (Carl and Ria) were always on hand with any dietary requirements that needed to be dealt with. All in all I would love to plan and re-do again because it felt so effortless. Jess and the events team kept us updated throughout and we had meetings in the run up to guide us through the day. The reservations team made sure that our guests staying over had rooms near each other if needed and again Ken helped people check in. There are too many to name but we continue to see them as we are members of the gym and spa so we feel very much part of the family there now. We’ve rebooked the penthouse for our anniversary next year to remember how special it was and again to make more memories there. A thousand, million and more out of ten! They are the best!!!! Mr and Mrs Proctor
Lovely hotel, food nice, spa area very crowded on a Sunday, shame there is no system to allocate outdoor hot tub slots, same people in them all afternoon. Indoor pool very nice. Staff Lovely can't fault them really.
To be truly honest it was just then evening meal as the food was the best part.
I think the whole place doesn’t really live up to its 4 Stars. Fridge in the room didn’t work asked for some water for the room and never arrived. The gardens really needed some work nothing to do with the weather paths we’re unkept, the spa area wasn’t tidy and the photo’s of the hotel really needed updating as if it was a true reflection I wouldn’t have booked the hotel. Very disappointing.
The hotel was beautifully clean and well run. We felt special when were there, especially at breakfast and at check in and check out.

I never normally leave reviews, but I have to say I was very disappointed with our stay in this hotel. My family stayed here for my sisters wedding (the venue was a different location), and for the price of the room I expected better. We stayed for 1 night, and so all of the free stuff they provide (which isnt free because let's be honest we've paid for it with the room) couldn't be used because we checked later on in the day. The air-conditioning in my sisters room wasn't working so we were all sweating getting ready. My friends bedroom smelled strongly of weed. There was sick on the floor outside. My friend told staff about this and their attitudes were disgusting. There was a surprise £50 security deposit we all had to pay, which is fine but was mentioned nowhere on the booking confirmation. Multiple of our names weren't included on the breakfast list. Whilst making the booking, I was told we had a food allowance of £30 each and we could order room service, only when I tried to do that i was told that it could only be used in the restaurant which was closed. Was told we had free cocktail vouchers, and we couldn't use them because they could only be redeemed for a short space of time. My parents stayed for 2 nights, and their room wasnt cleaned in between the first and second night. I would honestly not recommend this hotel, for the price there are much better valued hotels on the Wirral!
Absolutely amazing it’s the second stay we have had and will definitely be back again. The room was fantastic we has a massive bath and shower and even an TV in the bathroom!! The bed was super comfy and had water battles and tea and coffee in the room. The service was excellent the staff could not do enough for us. We ate at the grill and the food was excellent. We absolutely love Thornton Hall and can’t wait to go back.
The Spa was amazing!
Nothing
We stayed at the hotel to celebrate a friend’s birthday and were really impressed with both the hotel and its facilities. The spa was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our facials. A special mention to Claire, who was amazing and made my experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was able to cater for both gluten-free and dairy-free requirements. While the choice was a little limited for us, this was more down to our own personal tastes than anything else, and we appreciated the effort made to accommodate us. What really made this hotel stand out, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they genuinely went out of their way to look after us. We felt very well cared for throughout our stay. We would definitely return and would highly recommend the hotel. The dinner, bed and breakfast package, including spa use and treatments, was also excellent value for money and made it a lovely birthday treat.
Stayed here for my 40th birthday and loved it. They had put a little birthday cake in my room which was a really nice touch. We had access to the spa from 12pm til close and it was really nice. Felt really clean and not too busy. Was a sunny day and there were sunloungers outside and could order drinks to come to you outside - it felt like being on holiday. Breakfast was great too. The Wirral is also a lovely place with loads of nice beaches. Would definitely return!
My husband and I had a wonderful one night stay in this luxury hotel. The room was beautiful, with a little balcony overlooking the gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had our evening meal in the brasserie which was good quality and relaxed atmosphere. The buffet breakfast was delicious.
We booked on a Sunday thinking it would be quieter but unfortunately it was far from it !! Didn’t get to use the outside facilities as it was too busy during our time in there . Room was lovely & spacious but a shame there was a very obvious large stain on the carpet .
Excellent value (wowcher deal). Staff are outstanding. Grounds and facilities are excellent. Rooms are great.
Beautiful, period building. Spotlessly clean. Lovely, attentive staff.
We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at THS with a ‘welcome cream tea’ and spa access. This establishment is set in beautiful countryside, notwithstanding a little brown due to the current heatwave. That did not detract from the friendly welcome and attention of all staff at the venue who were courteous and professional. We had a lovely double room with views of the grounds and a delicious full English breakfast. Well done you guys, we shall return.👍❤️
Thornton Hall spa hotel is an excellent to stay. The old Hall is full of character from the 1800s. I would recommend it to everyone that I know. The only thing wrong with my stay was mainly the quality of the mattress.
Rooms and communal areas outside of main building a little tired as well as outside jacuzzi area, doors throughout need a lick of paint. Food in main restaurant very good, staff lovely apart from one lady in the spa reception a little rude. Probably a 3 star overall, a little over priced.
The breakfast was everything you could want. The spa is one of the best. The staff are so nice. The rooms are beautiful.
Really disappointed with our stay. In addition to the response and lack of systems in place. When requesting that the assistant manager Jude Diamond, escalate our concerns I was told the matter was closed. During our 25th Anniversary Stay it was clear the hotel was being used as a brothel. With a customer openly speaking on face time, multiple times in public areas about his experiences. Openly boasting and tipping waiters £35. While checking out, in the main reception (with 2 couples in front of us? ) no one intervened. He spoke, again on face time how he paid £200 and went into great detail of his experience. Despite raising as a concern at the time and with a follow up email the Assistant Manager emailed to say he is apologised and the matter is closed. To say this was unacceptable is an understatement.
Beautiful couple of days. Love the spa ,rooms, food and the staff are amazing l. ove visiting
Super friendly staff Unreal facilities Quiet and spacious rooms Food unreal and catered to allergies
Hotel and spa are pretty nice but it appears they are happy with the hotel being used as a brothel. One of the guests there was loudly boasting on a face time to his friends about what he was going to do to his ‘guest’. Making it obvious in the gardens at night and another face time call at reception about how much he paid her and in details of what happened. Ideally not what you want to hear with your partner but also unfair to the young women working there. None of this behaviour was challenged by a manager or security whilst we were there and there is no chance on earth I would visit this place again.
Attended a wedding here at the weekend. Our room was clean and comfortable. Ground floor with terrace & table & chairs. Couldn't fault anything. Even when my bill on checkout was incorrect it was sorted immediately. Staff went above and beyond for all of us staying for the wedding. Breakfast was the best part of my stay! Will definitely be returning.
We really enjoyed a celebratory lunch on the Terrace. Booking was easy, I called as well to ensure the team knew the importance of the event. The welcome was really warm and professional. The menu was excellent, service excellent, ambiance excellent! Everyone enjoyed the food, I had potted shrimp a d then lamb followed by a gorgeous trifle. The team took care of lighting the birthday cake candles and even kept a bouquet of flowers in water to stop them wilting. Literally everything was quintessentially elegant. Thanks to the team for being so kind and flexible
Overall the hotel is as described and simply beautiful! The facilities are amazing and rooms are so spacious. It was my first stay and won't be my last.
Stayed here many times and normally have a great stay but this time we got put in room 226, broken fridge rubish behind the television, remote didnt work and people upstairs were noisy most the night. Feel like the stay this time was a waste of money really disappointed.
Had a fabulous time
Nothing
What a beautiful hotel and grounds with the added bonus of spa facilities. After our first night I mentioned to the receptionist ( Annie) that our shower didn’t work properly and the room was a bit dated. I was so surprised that she offered to move us to another room without any hesitation, which I wasn’t expecting. The room was spacious and beautiful with a fantastic shower.😂Breakfast was wonderful and all the staff very friendly. It was a wonderful 2 night break. Thank you Annie & Thornton Hall.
Stayed her for a couples break. Lovely hotel and spa. Bed was one of the comfiest I have stayed in. Will be back
Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Such happy friendly staff. Spa was fabulous. Cocktails & eveng meal was gorgeous. Beds are very comfy. Breakfast was really good. Thankyou
The property was stunning. The overall aesthetics of the garden and outdoor spa facilities blew me away.
We had a wonderful one night stay in the Penthouse Suite. The room was spacious, beautifully presented, and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious, especially the steak frites, which was incredibly tender. All the staff are very friendly and the service is attentive. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning.
We took advantage of a spa deal which was superb value for money. Food was delicious - and the bar service. Grounds are beautiful Room was spacious and had everything we needed. The staff here are lovely - super friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.
The location is beautiful and so peaceful, lovely for a wedding or romantic night away. The spa has everything you need and a well equipped gym. We love the outside jacuzzi’s especially when the weather is good. Well stocked bar by the spa and also in the main bar with very nice cocktails. Do a 2 for 1 between 3-00 pm and 6-00 pm. Room and everywhere else is spotless with coffee making facilities in the room. The staff from reception to the bars to the restaurant couldn’t have been any more attentive.
Nothing it was all spot on!!
It was a lovely location, bar, restaurant and rooms were all lovely
When you are paying such a lot of money to stay and for a spa treatment you would expect bathing robes to use for your stay to be in with the cost not a surcharge. Also we paid for bed, breakfast and evening meal with a budget of £49 per person, our bill came to £93 yet there was still a £9.73 service change at the end of the stay.
The snow cave was amazing!
2 to 3 drink maximum when sitting outside as there are hot tubs. We werent the only guests to learn about this after we arrived. It let's the place down. You can go from the bar, have as many 2 4 1 cocktails as you like and return to the hot tub area. Its a pointless rule, that means we wont be returning and my the sounds of it neither will the other groups who stayed and were put off by the rule. During dinner we realised the steak was undercooked. Cabbage was rock hard. They did reduce the bill but it was disappointing
I recently attended a catered event at this place which, tbh, has a good reputation. However, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I can remember for a very very long time. To be clear, I was not the organiser of the event. I was merely a guest. So what was wrong? The catering was a hot and cold buffet mix. The hot consisted of lamb skewers, chicken drumsticks that were allegedly Thai style, and gigantic potato wedges. The lamb was bland and tasteless. The chicken may have been labelled as Thai but its only association with anything Thai was that it might have been stored in the same room as the Ty-Phoo tea bags. The worst crime though was the state of the chicken. Under cooked and obviously so. The drumsticks oozed blood. The flesh was pink when the drumsticks were cut into, and on my plate they left a pool of chicken blood when they were picked up. The potato wedges were hard and under cooked. I saw several people return drumsticks and complain to the mohican-haired guy in charge. Undercooked chicken is highly dangerous. It can make you ill and in some cases it can kill. So what reaction would we expect from staff? Apologies? No. Polite determination to create a satisfied customer? Certainly not. Instead, the mohican guy argued back. The chef (do they have one?) was, it was repeatedly said, satisfied. A lecture was given by him on internal temperatures and types of bacteria. No. No. No. Hypothetically if loads of customers returned perfectly cooked and safe food, the basic rule of hospitality is that the customer is always right. Whisk the offending articles away, tell the customers they are right, apologise and make it good for your customers. You don't stand there and argue the toss when it is clearly patently undercooked and bleeding. For God's sake, a well-placed kiss of life could well have revived it!! And also, good venues don't react to customer complaints by playing the blame game and saying it's the fault of another department. Overall the staff seemed untrained, inexperienced and lacking in basic hospitality skills. The youth behind the bar thought the best way to serve up a Pimms and lemonade was to put some Pimms in a tumbler and splosh lemonade in, and that was it. Had he ever seen a Pimms and lemonade? I doubt it. No ice. No fruit, strawberry, cucumber, mint. Inept. The staff did not present as trained, well-attired hospitality staff in a self-proclaimed luxury establishment. Presentation was clearly not a thing for them. If it was, I doubt they would wander round with dyed red hair, a black shirt that had seen better days and brown trousers. Overall one of the worst experiences I have had. If I could give zero stars out of 5, I would. Would i go there again (I repeat that I was a mere guest)? No. Not under any circumstances would I return to a venue where the management and staff clearly have no professionalism or leadership and which serves up food that has the ability to make me seriously ill
We recently stayed at Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa and had a truly fantastic experience from start to finish. The spa itself was incredibly relaxing, but what really made our visit stand out was the exceptional service we received in the restaurant. We were served by Lara and Finn, two outstanding young people who are an absolute credit to the hotel. They were incredibly well-mannered, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect. It is rare to find such genuine hospitality and professionalism, and their warm service really made our stay memorable. Thank you, Thornton Hall, and a massive thank you to Lara and Finn! We will definitely be back.
We stayed at the hotel following a family funeral. The staff who served us at the wake were very good. They were constantly checking the food, clearing tables and proving drinks at the bar. We ate in the Brasserie in the evening. This was very nice. It was quiet and relaxed, just what was needed after such a sad day. The service and the food were very good and there was rush to vacate the table. The room was very nice but lacked air conditioning which would have been ideal but there was a fan in there so it wasn’t unbearable. The following morning, the hotel manager asked how the previous day had gone and asked if everything was ok - this was a lovely touch and very nice of him to ask. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of options available. Overall a pleasant place to stay with attentive and friendly staff.
Absolutely stunning! Lovely area.
Beds a little too hard and lumpy pillows.
Good rooms, excellent food and service and very helpful and friendly staff. A proper Wirral jewel. A few noisy guests returning to rooms late at night spoiled what would have been a 5 star rating for sleep quality. But that's no fault of the hotel or excellent staff.
The room was amazing and had a cute toilet.

Lovely place, large bed and very friendly staff! The room was perfect for our stay and the afternoon tea that we had was delicious!
There was no lift or staff to help and we were on the top floor with two big suitcases and a toddler.. :-/

This hotel is excellent value for money. The spa area is so relaxing and the staff go out of their way to take care of you throughout the hotel.
Went to a wedding here for a friend and the day was sensational. The venue was so lovely. The staff could not do more and went above and beyond. And the resident dj for events was fantastic, everybody danced, no song request was too much.
We had our wedding at Thornton Hall with family and friends staying both the night before and night of the event. The staff went above and beyond in helping to organise everyone and ensuring we all had everything we needed to have an amazing stay. This extended to placing favours in the rooms of the wedding party and giving out other items as guests checked in right through to breakfast service before they checked out. Couldn’t recommend this hotel and its facilities more. But it’s the staff and how they look after everyone that really make the stay special! We can’t wait until we come back next time.
Was there for my sisters wedding. Beth in particular was very helpful it could've been very stressful but Beth's calm demeanor helped
This is my first time writing a review for anywhere, and I do not know where to start. First, the staff. I have travelled a lot, and stayed in a diverse amount of places, whether its the type, the location, or experience, but this rates as one of the best experiences I have ever had with any stay. They were patient, kind and just generally seemed happy to help, whether it was Carl at afternoon tea, or the kind gentleman who helped with our bags, the wonderful lady who served us at dinner on Saturday night, or the incredible massage therapists we were able to experience. No matter what, everyone treated you with kindness and gave customer service above nothing else. The food, so there were a few times where something we wanted wasn't available, but with the plentiful (but not overwhelming) options on the menu, there was always something else to try or have, or the good debate of "oo I want this, or this." being solved, which I see as an absolute plus. We ordered the birthday package, and it was great, the balloons were lovely, but one thing above all else took the cake, and set the tone for the trip for myself and my bestie. "Happy belated 25th birthday" on the plate with two little brownies (which were delightful), now, the word belated, some people could turn their noses up, but we LOVED IT, it was so sassy and funny to see on arrival and it put a massive smile on our faces. The food options at breakfast were also incredible, as someone with allergies I felt it was so easy to make myself a good meal that set me up for the day. The afternoon tea selection of savory or sweet, every single thing was great, or then dinner the menu choice. WOW! The quality of food itself was amazing, and I could've genuinely eaten 15 plates of porkbelly and set myself for an early grave- though I did restrict to one. And the cocktails? Incredible. The entire experience from arrival to check-out was amazing. I cannot fault a single part of this experience which is exactly what you'd want to say about any trip. I will be coming back definitely!
It was very big with lots of parking and many places to go and do things like a restaurant or bar oh places to sit and of course the spa
Car par a bit noisy late at night
Lovely room great check in
Room wasn’t very clean - empty water bottle down the back of the bedside cabinet Bottle top & bits down the side of the fridge
I had a last minute work trip planned in the area and was struggling to find availability anywhere. I stumbled across this place and decided to book. I’m so glad I did because what a lovely experience it was! The hotel rooms, dining areas and grounds are just lovely. The spa and gym facilities were amazing, and I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern everything was. I just wanted to mention how amazing the staff were. From the receptionists, spa team and waiters, everyone was so friendly, welcoming and genuine. Travelling along can sometimes feel daunting, but they made me feel so comfortable. I couldn’t complain about a thing, and will definitely return!
Treated my wife to a 2 day spa break somewhere different. It certainly didn't disappoint. All the staff are really nice and helpful. The spa was really nice and clean great facilities. Our room was really spacious and clean nice bathroom. We had bed breakfast and evening meal. Every meal we had was present nice and very hot and tasty.
The staff are polite, courteous.and very helpful. The hotel is clean and well appointed, but needs updating and maintaining. The spa facilities are excellent and fitness instructors very professional. I would like to particularly mention Jackie who taught aqua. I have been to many Aqua classes and I have to say this was one of the best I have attended. The classes were fun and engaging so you didn't realise how hard you were working your body. Jackie provided different options for each exercise based on capability. Really enjoyable classes and if I lived here would be coming every week.
Really Love this place, just wish it was nearer ,Everything is Fabulous...Cant wait to visit again thankyou...the beds nd pillows very good bt im nt a good sleeper...
An overall lovely place! We stayed in room 4 which was beautiful! Great amenities and the shower is amazing! The pool and spa facilities are good. Our massages were okay, but could have done with a little more pressure being applied as it was a tension massage but that is more a personal preference. Food in the brassiere was okay, the ceased wrap was a little dry and could have done with more sauce. The food in the main restaurant/grill was delicious! Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. The food is fresh and quick between courses. The afternoon tea was impeccable! Compliments to the pastry chef! By far the best cakes and scone I’ve ever had. The gardens are okay, but not as “grand” as I imagined they would be, and they could use some citronella candles or something around the tables. You get absolutely hounded by bugs if you sit outside! Overall a lovely place. Great staff and good amenities. Would definitely go again.
The team was fantastic from beginning to the end with a special mention to Shannon. Nothing was too much and everyone was so welcoming! We will definitely be returning!
Easy access. Good parking. Clean rooms. Attentive and friendly staff.
Pleasant stay
Beautiful settings staff very welcoming lovely and friendly. Facilities lovely and clean very comfortable!!
Can't fault anything
Fantastic experience. Been to lots of hotels both in the UK and elsewhere and I can genuinely say that some of the staff here are the nicest I’ve ever come across. Diane in the Brasserie especially was so helpful and attentive! The spa was lovely too, amazing facilities and very clean. I love that the staff take you down to the changing rooms and explain what to do. I’ve never seen such clean changing rooms before! No need for a padlock for the lockers either, as they’re wristband activated. The room was also fantastic. Massive bed and lots of storage, only downside was it got very warm in there and being on ground floor we didn’t want to open a window. Very clean again though! We had a few drinks in the bar area, and the bar staff were lovely, really talented and friendly. It felt like a nice upscale bar, and they couldn’t do enough for us. We then ate in the dining room, and Shannon was probably the best host we’ve had. She was so good with all the tables, felt really natural chat and she was extremely on it with everybody. An absolute credit. Id 100% recommend coming here, and we will most definitely be back. Incredible experience!
Hotel was nice, all staff were lovely, very polite, professional and friendly especially the reception staff Spa was relaxing Breakfast was fab and not too busy Overall enjoyed our stay
Air conditioning in the bedroom could be better.
Spa and gym were great and the staff are friendly
Bathroom floor was dirty, linens were tired and pulled, our bathroom towels had holes in them and staining. Lack of air conditioning and just overall modernisation.
Really enjoyed our overnight stay in this fabulous hotel. Beautiful Spa area with outdoor hot tubs with lively views. Would definitely come again.
Second visit here, it is a lovely hotel in a wonderful setting with great staff! Everyone is doing a great job - well done!
