Hotel was not in Dublin but was in a great location. Staff were fantastic and the meals very good. Large rooms.
Nice people, clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. What more could you ask for when making a one night visit.
Reception was very good.....staff friendly.....room clean......would return
The location was perfectly situated and very quiet. Close to the village and amenities. Our room number 3 was above the entrance and very quaint. Staff were extra helpful and nice people
Nice hotel, close to airport. Dinner in hotel restaurant was great.
Very friendly staff. Helpful with local tips and printing boarding passes. Bed was very comfortable, shower was great. Highly recommend.
The staff is amazing to interact with and the rooms were excellent. The food was grest as well! Recomend this location for sure.
Awesome hotel with wonderfully large room and a superb restaurant
This is a suberb hotel on the borders of Dublin, perfectly placed for our attendance at a local wedding. The building is a fascinating development of a Victorian mansion and is accompanied by a wonderful restaurant.
The hotel is a converted home, so the rooms are cozy. The location is a close walk from the village with many dining choices as well as several bus stops. Parking is plentiful. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were excellent. Restaurant is closed on Monday. The staff are very down-to-earth, friendly, and helpful.
Bit over priced for a 1 night stay. Breakfast started at 7am so too late for me. Was just continental so I didn’t miss much. Bed very comfy. Nice location, easy free parking. No lift so had to carry luggage up 2 flights, lady on reception did offer to help
Excellent restaurant and very friendly staff. Went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.
Fantastic place to stay. The team of staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Short walk to the town centre and easy access to the motorway
Surprisingly nice hotel, just what I needed. Breakfast was just continental, and I fancied full monty, but otherwise great place to avoid a midnight drive home in the fog!!
Excellent restaurant
Staff very friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Well situated for the motorways and great public transport into town
Was a good hotel ut room could have been warmer and staff did something about this when we pointed it out.
Our stay was nice. The only thing was the bed. Not so comfortable and kept stubbing my toe. A small fridge would have been appreciated. The room was spacious and quiet. The staff kind and helpful. The location is an easy ride to Dublin.
When we arrived we couldn't book in, because the previous occupants of the room we were due to have had broken the bed. So we were given a cup of coffee whilst the hotel rang around other hotels to find us a room. They found us a room in another hotel where we stayed for three days and the Becketts hotel paid the difference.
Good location: great local eateries in walking distance. Lovely old building with history.
Amazing restaurant and the hotel was great also.
Friendly staff, room ok, continental breakfast. Quiet location.
1 night stay for business trip. Staff very friendly and room clean, comfy and pretty quiet. I regretted having eaten before I arrived as restaurant looked very nice. Breakfast options limited but of decent standard. All in all was very satisfied with my stay.
The room was very impressive! The staff gave us good recommendations on a nearby town we could eat and shop in. Easy 30 min. drive to return rental car at Dublin airport.
Great location near to motorway. Nice and quiet and staff really friendly and helpful. Excellent food and service.
This hotel is a hidden gem. Beautifully renovated, away from the bisy city ( we got the bus 66, into town...have cash for bus 3.30euro). Excellent restauraunt on premises. Breakfast included.
Caroline and Michelle really look after you. Lovely food with great service.
The staff were great, so friendly and very helpful. Room wonderful, very big, good bathroom, good, comfortable bed, very light bedroom. Remember there are 10 rooms and no lift. So if you have any problems with stairs, this is not for you. Great restaurant, always packed.
The room itself was one of the most attractive rooms I've stayed in during my business travels. The only complaint I have concerns the hot water temperature--it was almost hot enough, but not quite. They may have been trying to ensure nobody gets burned, but I like my water a little hotter. The restaurant serves wonderful dinner, and the staff is very friendly. However breakfast only continental style whereas I prefer meat and eggs.
Excellent
lovely staff ,food excellent if I am back in Ireland would use this hotel
A wonderful find!
Nice quiet hotel with good continental breakfast and decent price. Town is 7 minutes walk with restaurants, pubs, small shops etc. I had a single room which was slightly small but otherwise no complaints.
Lovely quiet hotel 10 minutes walking distance to the centre of the village of Leixlip with pubs and restaurants to choose from. The Hotel restaurant is superb if you don't fancy the walk or if the weather is a bit damp. Will definitely return next time in the area.
Fantastic hotel, great service and the staff are really friendly. Excellent location. Stayed on business and will definitely be back.
Lovely small hotel with great friendly staff!
I only needed an overnight stay and overall, it was very good. One thing that was of concern, was that the night bell wasn't obvious. When I came back late at night, it was dark and I wasn't sure how to get in. The other thing of concern was that google maps kept sending me to the other side of the freeway so that I ended up at the other side of the pedestrian bridge. Not sure what you could do to stop other people from getting lost. Everything else was excellent.
Perfect hotel for my needs & close to where I was doing some work
Another lovely stay at Becketts Hotel. The room was perfectly clean & a nice size. Staff are very nice and helpful.
We booked this hotel because of a visit to Bloom in Phoenix Park. It worked out beautifully, 20 mins drive from the park, restaurant in hotel is good, Leixlip center is a 5 mins walk from the hotel for pubs and entertainment.
We booked this hotel through hotel.com for a Bruce Springsteen concert last weekend but when we got there the room was double booked!! They had no room for us. The receptionist was very frosty and unfriendly and could brush up on her customer service skills. Thankfully she enlisted the help of the manager Colin who was extremely apologetic and very helpful. He made several calls to find another room for us in the area and got us into a lovely hotel in Lucan. He also organised tea for us while he was seeking alternative accommodation. The hotel itself is nice and quaint and but quite small with just 10 rooms which we were informed are quite tight on space. The manager very good at his job and I would imagine would do his best to ensure his guests enjoy their stay.
Really comfortable, friendly staff throughout. Only downside was the room was a bit small and breakfast wasn't as good as it could have been!
Wonderful hotel, so friendly and accommodating
Becketts was a wonderful "home base" for our ten days in Ireland. In the country visiting a daughter in Celbridge, we were easily able to see and do Dublin, the surrounding area and take day trips to the west and north. We didn't have enough days to go south, but that would have been no trouble either. The hotel is nicely appointed and well-kept. It was clean, tidy and the staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. The restaurant was also outstanding. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly stay again should the opportunity arise.
Nice reception, got there late so couldn't eat as restaurant closes at 10pm. NO LIFT. So the flog upstairs with suitcase at end of long day was a pain (they did offer to help with bags but I refused before realising how high the floors were). The room (10) was fantastic - a suite of 4 rooms with access to a balcony. Lovely furnishings, excellent bed, decent shower. Pleanty of background noise from the motorway, and then the earlky morning airport take-offs go right overhead...not too bad, but not a tranquil idyl. Continental breakfast was fine, lovely fresh croissants and nice coffee (there was a fair selection of fruit and cold meats, plus Irish smoked salmon which was very good). Overall, a very good one night stay.
Lovely hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was lovely and very comfy.
This is an old house converted into a hotel but unfortunately it misses out on alot of the touches that makes for a pleasant stay. To begin with we were not impressed when we drove in as the outside is quite run down looking with a gravel surfaced carpark. There is no lift so if you have have bags be prepared to carry them. We were allocated a tiny corner room with a double bed wedged in where really there is only room for a single bed, with very little space in the actual room to move around. If you are on the first floor rooms do not expect to be sleeping before 12 as the busy restaurant downstairs was hosting parties and the shouts and whoops from diners can be clearly heard in the bedroom. On the plus side the staff were really nice and we dined in the restaurant which was excellent and I would definitely recommend. The website shows beautiful spacious rooms and I'm sure they are nice but we did not get them. The room is simply not up to standard for what were being charged. If you are booking also be aware there are no baths as the en suites are only shower rooms, and the breakfast is only continental.
Lovely hotel. rooms excellent.Would recommend it.
Stayed here for one night with my boyfriend, the hotel is just beautiful! Unlike anyother hotel! Our room was cleand and nicly decorated! Great service and we'll definately be staying here again! Cannot recommend highly enough!
This hotel remains one of my favourites for the West side of Dublin, it is very clean, a very welcoming and helpful stuff - salmon carpaccio for Breakfast was excellent, and dinner in the evening is second to none - though a bit on the expensive side. The room i've been in this time was a bit on the smaller side but every other time i've been in this hotel the other rooms were all fine!
