Nice hotel, great location. Breakfast is not worth paying extra for. Our rooms were mixed temperatures - one was comfortable, other we couldn't get the heating off,🥵
The property has two detached sections with somewhat different ambient comparing to the main house that looks appealing. So assuming you booked a room for 2, you will likely be placed in this “not so appealing” rooms. In any case, the property can pass as average for small town standards
Ample parking, room was spacious. Shower did not function well and breakfast was fair.
Beautiful site. Very clean. Food was good.
Friendly service from Jamie at check in, stayed in courtyard room but the bed was not comfortable, usb sockets did not work and the 3 pin plug socket was very slow to charge my phone. Could not charge a second item due to usb socket not working. Felt the price paid was definitely not worth the quality of the room or furnishings for a remote location. The room and bathroom needs modernising, carpet was dirty and was only in room for 10 hrs due to late check in and needing to be out early next day for a commitment. I personally would not choose to stay here again and only booked here as friends had booked this in a package deal but was not my hotel of choice.
Lovely
friendly staff. Breakfast staff not attentive, required going to reception to speak to breakfast staff to atend to our needs as they were chatting to reception staff.
We took the bus which means you’ll have a serious 15 minute ish walk to the hotel with last but up a steep hill but we’re young and knew what we signed up for. The grounds are beautiful and the room was great. The staff were super friendly and kinda. Great time would do again but if you have bad knees drive or rent a different hotel
Nice hotel with very nice rooms but very old building with nice feel
The property is set in a great location and is handy for Dublin airport. Our bedroom was comfortable with the exception of the bed; this was at the end of its life and the mattress was not that comfortable. The location is quiet so we slept OK. The staff just two of them) were friendly but it must be a tough place to work as there seemed to be few staff. The bed mattress in Room TWO needs replacing and also one hears noise from 06.00 from the small kitchen/washing up area beneath it, which was irritating. The small selection of food served in the bar was OK but there is no atmosphere within the bar area and it feels 'cold and sterile'.
Poor furnishing , old and tied bedrooms. Toilet running al night . Window sill damaged Poorly decorated . Not worth half the cost
if you are looking for just a room to rest and reasonable price, it is ok. Bathroom / shower is quite small. The carpet is not quite clean but acceptable. No water when we arrived and there is electricity maintenance something like that on the day we left (luckily we were not staying for an other day). We have to check out at 5:30am and I already called the night before and let the front desk knew. On the day of checkout, we rang the doorbell and knocked at the door for few minutes before someone came to open the door. iit made us nervous. Other than that, it is ok. But unfortunately, it is unlikely we will stay there again.
Unfortunately the buffet breakfast was not kept hot enough and with cold plates we were unimpressed as it was almost cold by the time we got sat down.
⸻ Disappointing End to Our Irish Adventure We have been travelling around Ireland for nine days, and sadly, our last night at Leixlip Manor was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were informed that the water was off, which was not a great start. We were directed to outside rooms in a courtyard, which were small and quite hot. The bathroom and shower were extremely tiny, making it rather uncomfortable. The bar staff were absolutely lovely and very friendly, which was the highlight of our stay. However, due to the water issue, the only option for dinner was bar meals, which were quite ordinary and didn’t really meet our expectations. Overall, while the staff were warm and welcoming, the overall experience didn’t match what we had hoped for on the final night of our trip.
Great location with a fantastic room that we stayed in. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Don't ever book here if you're coeliac! They told me when booking that they could cater for me and breakfast wouldn't be an issue. I was told all the chef will make me is an egg - the breakfast is €17.50!!!
Quaint and clean
Really lovely place to stay. Lovely setting and not too far from the airport
Everything was perfect from the time I booked my event in 2024 to the time we left after the event on the 13th of July 2025. The prifessionalism of the staff and the cleanliness was unbelievable. The food was beautiful and the rooms were hugh. I would highly recommend this hotel for any event.
The room didn’t have air dryer!!
Nice quiet hotel to stay in. Rooms clean amdcstaff pleasent
Nice manor in a good location for us. Great walking and running right out the door.
Beautiful room and hotel. Gorgeous grounds to walk on. Had everything you needed. Comfortable bed and linens. Huge room and comfortable sitting chairs. Staff courteous and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely hotel set in quiet countryside close to the small town of Leixlip. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room we had was very large, we were told it was the bridal suite. Food in the bar was very good. We stayed two nights only as we were touring, but it would make a good base.
Was good stay , relatively relaxing apart from hearing people but to clearly talking in other rooms in the yard section of the hotel rooms. But service and staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Great
A well kept secret up a long discreet drive, lovely house and courtyard. I was in one of the courtyard rooms. Lovely room, spotlessly clean friendly staff at check in and check out, beautiful surroundings, very quiet yet only a few hundred metres from the bridge in Leixlip. Excellent standard, great value for money.
It was quaint but could have been kept up more than it was. The location was neat, at the top of a long, winding driveway. The rooms need some TLC for sure. The staff was very nice
This place was beautiful, out of a fairytale book! Only issue was the creaking floors that you would expect with an old place.
I loved this hotel! Thank you for an awesome two night stay! I would definitely stay here again! It is such an elegant hotel with serene and beautiful surroundings.
Stayed the night before a flight out of Dublin. There was an event when we arrived so check in felt rushed. I asked about whether breakfast was included and at what time and i was given a rough NO, as if i was going to haggle or something.
Lovely place to stay after a long flight. The staff was wonderful, the grounds are beautiful, and it was so quiet.
Quiet stay in nice surroundings
Was our first impression in Ireland and did not disappoint!
Beautiful grounds .
It was raining .
Beautiful and quiet! The staff was exceptionally nice, especially Jamie with his Guiness pour expertise! And Gigi the pony in the meadow outside my window. It was an unexpectedly perfect way to experience Ireland.
Lilac Loft room was clean and warm. Breakfast was really nice and the grounds were lovely. We will definitely come back here.
Very busy and noisy with four separate parties. The staff were overworked but welcoming and friendly, however the bar area where we ate had limited seating space and was noisy with groups of people and children. We booked 2 rooms (one double and one twin) but one of the beds in the twin wasn't clean and looked like it had been slept in already leading to an uncomfortable night for my daughter who had to share the other bed (admittedly larger) with her aunt who is disabled. We reported this in the morning to the manager and they were to follow up on this. Unfortunately not good value for the money we paid.
We loved our stay here and look forward to returning for another night at the end of our trip. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, set in a wonderful park with huge trees, and our courtyard room at the end of the driveway was very convenient. It really feels like a manor house.
I highly recommend this lovely spot, we booked it for a communion dinner and everything was perfect, the staff was amazing specially Korina, the Manager, she knows what she is doing, we were very looked after, excellent service, excellent food and excellent venue.
Lovely stately type home , food was amazing .. people very nice and friendly and professional
Very Quiet and peaceful surroundings.
Quaint, quiet and beautiful views of the countryside of Ireland! The staff were so kind and considerate of any requests or needs! We really enjoyed our stay as it was a nice spot of reclusion after going off to Dublin to explore which was much busier! Definitely book your stay here if you enjoy staying in a Manor that takes you back in time!
Stay at the hotel is ideal. Relatively near the airport if you have a rental car. Old style hotel and not too busy. Menu was basic and had enough to satisfy everyone. Bar was good. Checkin was fast and no issues. Check out the same. As for the room ii stayed in a very big room with a dible and single bed. Very comfortable, slept very well and had no issues. The room and bathroom was clean. Old style but charming. Overall i would recommend the hotel based on it style and comfort, and very importantly it is quiet, especially for those who want a good night's sleep before travelling. Only one disadvantage of this place is it location to other services, only ideal if who are travelling by car.
Leixlip Manor & Gardens Hotel is a hidden gem. We got married here on April 12th 2025. Everything was perfect. We were looking for an intimate wedding venue for our small wedding although the hotel can cater for larger weddings, they happily catered to our every need. The venue is excellent with lots of outdoor areas and gardens for photographs. A nice patio area right outside the bar. Plenty of space for kids to play as well. We got married and had the reception in the hotel. The staff were excellent, really couldn’t have been more helpful. We booked out the majority of the hotel including the courtyard rooms and everyone loved their big bedrooms. All very clean and good value for money. The food for our reception was cooked by the onsite chef and honestly it couldn’t have been any better. Everyone loved it, 5 courses of perfection. The buffet breakfast the morning after was excellent also. Everyone was happy. To all the staff at the hotel, a massive thank you from us both for making our special day so memorable. And a special thanks to Korina, the duty manager, who helped us organise everything in the hotel, from bookings, to food choices, to timings etc, thanks you so much, the day went off without a hitch thanks to your organisation, you’re our hero. Nicola & Paul
The room was absolutely fine, but the food offering was poor. The bar menu had no vegetarian or vegan options, so i had to eat out (which was good, because i found a pub in the town with a great selection of vegan food). I didn't eat breakfast because the hotel information said it wasn't available until 07:30, which is rather late for people staying on business. I had to leave by 07:30, but when i handed my key back to reception i saw people already sat eating. The hotel needs to be much clearer about its breakfast offering.
We thought we would be in the hotel but our room was actually in the outbuildings, which were in fact quite charming. The room was clean and bright with everything we needed. The furniture was a little dated but solid. It was very nice and we would recommend it to anyone. We would definitely go back.
Has so much potential and with the right investment could be a goldmine. Sadly though the TLC hasn’t been applied and it’s looking tired now. Beds are comfy 😂
Beautiful surroundings great rooms in the courtyard
Lovely small country house hotel where you can walk the parklands or into town.
Nice
Beautiful hotel with beautiful people.
No water at the hotel. No washing/shower facility or toilet facility. It seems the hotel knew this would occur but did not inform us (we would have moved to a different location which had the basic toilet and washing facility). I do expect there will be a significant reduction in cost for our stay at the hotel.
I would have loved a fridge and microwave in my room Or access to one The manor is stunning. All the animals were fun. I was disappointed that the recent storm left the garden closed during our stay. I was looking forward to seeing the gardens
It was very clean, fast check in, friendly staff.
Close to DUB airport
Second time here!
Got married here 15 years ago and it was a wonderful experience.Booked a suite in December to celebrate that anniversary.Bad choice! From the staff to the room to the food and drinks, absolutely terrible,it's a sad indictment of a once lovely place.
When we arrived the outside was disappointing ,reception was ok , the bar area was plain and boring no character with uncomfortable chairs , no atmosphere.when we got to our room it was pleasantly clean the decor complemented the manor but the room was freezing so we lasted 50mins in the building and left to be honest I wouldn’t stay or recommend this property
The hotel is about half a mile outside the village up a private driveway. My room was in the courtyard about 75 yards from the main Manor House. The room was excellent and the breakfast which was served in the main house was very good if a little expensive. Would certainly stay there again.
The toilet wasn’t clean enough
Lovely staff good service
It was all fine, check in was easy and efficient. The room was fine a little dated but nothing wrong. It was quiet, which for me is a big plus. The food was dull, the bar was limited (several options weren't available). The worst for me was the courtyard lighting, it was like daylight through the curtains all night.
My most recent stay was for three weeks, so I got to know some of the staff pretty well, and I can’t say enough about how absolutely AMAZING everyone was! I absolutely LOVED my stay……such an incredibly beautiful and serene setting, and also very conveniently located to everything! But honestly, it was the staff that completely made my visit so special!
Hi, stayed here with family from Boston in November this year .... what a charm of a Hotel nestled in the beautiful village of Leixlip.... after been greeted by the wonderful staff we had a lovely meal and then the highlight of the evening a traditional Irish group of musicians played in the bar which just capped off a wonderful evening... the house and gardens are just like out of a fairy tale 🧚♀️...would highly recommend 👌 😍
The room we had in the court yard needs a refurb. In the bar, the food was ok but we felt uneasy afterwards as we were the only ones in at 9.30 so we went to our room Mouse trap at side of bed !!!
The manor rests on a beautiful property with a walkway around the garden full of unique plants. The rooms are well equipped to suit your needs for a comfortable stay and the dining area has a delicious menu and full bar. I highly recommend staying a few nights to enjoy all that the area has to offer, and don’t forget to say hi to GG!
It was my first stay in Leixlip Manor. Honestly i booked it by mistake, but I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The location was very nice, quiet and peaceful. Loved the old style architecture and open space, plenty of parking. The room was nice and clean and had all you need for a short stay. Will book again if visiting Dublin!
It is now 4.24 am in the morning and I am staying in one of the courtyard bedrooms in room 25. The soundproofing in the bedrooms is literally non existent and myself and my friend have , following a meal in the restaurant had to put up with 5 hours now of noise, loud conversation and sexual relations …..It is entirely unacceptable. Our meal in the restaurant came to a hasty end when despite requesting a desert menu we were informed that the chef had gone home …….I shall be looking for a refund in the morning !
Beautiful grounds
The hotel is well-located and surrounded by a large garden/ park. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, though the heating was too high.
Beautiful house and gardens and courtyard rooms also excellent. Great location. Staff very helpful and our evening meal was delicious.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The grounds were vast and nice to walk about. I am sure in mid season the gardens are amazing but we were there late in the season so much was past its prime, but still very pleasant.
Whilst the entrance to this hotel is impressive, it unfortunately does not appear to spread to the accommodation. The room was dated and required modernisation. The bed was generally uncomfortable. The size of the room and bathroom was good but not clean, with dirt and stains on the carpet. The toilet was noisy and dripped for 20 minutes after each use.
Fantastic staff which I cannot fault, food and service was very good but the rooms in the courtyard were absolutely terrible, rentakill box behind the draws, room was really warn, and the shower was absolutely shocking beyond belief as it had no pressure whatsoever and ran cold with 2 mins.. I did not complain because the staff were lovely and it’s obviously not their fault the facilities are that bad..
Very peaceful and pleasant
The only reason I rated a 4 was was little miss informed about. Dinner. Was told dinner was this time. And breakfast was 17.50. I guess just dumb American but. Was under assumption that dinner was included via that conversation. Great food. But. More choice out side in town. Also the room was very warm. Asked they said couldn't do anything it was the whole building controls not room by room. They saylod open window. I did the whole 4 inches that it was able to open and not more than that. Bright room with blinds open.. But over all good place will stay again
Loved the old building and carriage house. Clean and comfortable bedding. Discovered the bathroom floor had not been swept and room needed dusted. Let the staff know and received an apology email. The property and gardens are really charming and the town of Leixlip is nice to explore. Overall we recommend the manor to stay as long.
Very beautiful location. Lovely garden to enjoy. All the staff were very nice and courteous. Thank you for a very nice stay.
This place is really unique and that's why we chose it. The staff were super nice. Room was clean. We didn't get a chance to have dinner here but my husband did go for breakfast one morning and said it was really good. The grounds themselves are very nice and quiet. The only thing that was irritating was there was no power outlet in the bathroom to use the hairdryer and straightener. I had brought a small mirror along and had to do my hair in the walk-in closet area where there was an outlet.
Friendly welcome and very clean functional room in the courtyard. Large TV with Netflix and Prime was an added bonus.
Lovely gardens
Very dated property. The Courtyard rooms are awful. No sound proofing between rooms. I could hear the television of the room next door all night, so no sleep.
Beautiful expansive and regal property from days of old. Accommodation was very comfortable and staff were great.
Beautiful historic property, had a lovely stay. Twice!
A lovely spot with beautiful surroundings.
Impressive hotel just outside Leixlip. Beautiful room in main house. Peaceful & safe place to relax in.
Aaaw such a shame! We got married here 22 years ago and at that time it was a popular and fabulous venue. I can't imagine anyone wanting to get married here now. It's shabby and as other reviewers have noted - in need of serious amounts of TLC. It's not suitable for disabled people- at all. Stairs everywhere. Our bathroom was downstairs from.our bedroom 10 steps and the shower was over a bath with a high step into it. My day job is working with frail elderly and disabled people. This venue is a big no to both groups. Friendly staff and a very clean room though was nice enough. The owners should either sort it out or sell it to enable it to reclaim its former glory. A rip off money wise. Poor drinks selection too.
The grounds could have been better kept the bathroom was wonderful great tub and plenty roof hot water. The room just need a little update. All in all we were pleased very quiet restful.
I was in Ireland for a concert. Felicia at the front desk helped me figure out transportation to and from the event. Her and Karina were two of the nicest ladies I meet in Ireland! Both were warm, friendly and welcoming. Stayed in the main house and will defiantly stay again, when i go back. The hotel was just beautiful and peaceful.
A real manor house in a lovely setting with great food.
Somewhat small room as no room for 2 suitcases but OMG the surroundings more than made up for it, great place!
I was surprised about this property. Our room had recently been updated and was huge with very large bathroom and sitting area. Very convenient for Dublin along with other areas in Ireland. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The outside of the property needs updating but grounds are gorgeous. Would certainly recommend this property for a short stay.
Very nice property with a large Victorian garden, located outside the Dublin core but accessible enough by car. We used this hotel on our last day before leaving Ireland so we chose it so we could drive to the airport in the morning (25 mins). Very clean rooms though the carpeting leading up to the room was a little dated. Also, found two small spiders in the corner of the room the morning we woke up but otherwise friendly staff and good value for money.
Only one outlet in our room worked. The room itself was small with limited resources. Was told it was relatively close to Dublin which is untrue. You are not supposed to bring food into the rooms yet no food options are really around the inn. Had to pay for meals in the inn since they weren’t in our “package”. FELICIA at the front desk was a delight and helped us tremendously.
Beautiful room.
Overall our stay was good. Hotel is old reception and room and separated. Rooms are in the courtyard and there was smell as you enter the building but room was good and big. No fridge or microwave. Nothing for ironing. But free parking.
Lovely rooms!
The place is beautiful but we woke up to no water. I have waited my whole to come to Ireland and couldn’t take a shower. The service rep didn’t offer any compensation. Had to wait until the next night at a new hotel to shower. Had to use the toilet twice and couldn’t flush. Would not recommend
