La zona de episcinas preciosa
Aglomercion en la mañana en los desayunos sobre todo
The staff were very nice and helpful. We originally booked half board, including breakfast and dinner, but we were pleasantly surprised to be given all-inclusive instead, with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. The pool area was nice and the resort itself was large, with plenty of space to relax. The buffet had a good variety of food, and the dinner selection was different every night, which we appreciated. The location was also convenient, with various shops and facilities within walking distance.
Unfortunately, the standards of hygiene, cleanliness and maintenance were far below what we expected from a four-star hotel. The room had a very strong musty smell and extremely high humidity, to the point that the bedsheets felt almost damp. The curtains smelled extremely bad and were visibly stained. The floors were not properly vacuumed or cleaned, and there was a significant amount of dust in the bathroom ventilation area. The bathroom was also not cleaned properly. When we arrived, the bed linen was dirty. We asked for it to be changed, but the replacement linen was dirty as well. On another occasion, the cleaning staff started cleaning the room but did not finish, and we were left without a pillow. One of the towels was also torn, and bags of towels were left at the entrance of the villa. The entire hotel had a noticeable damp and musty smell, and some of the sun loungers were old and poorly maintained. Another issue was the medical assistance advertised by the hotel. The hotel states that a doctor is available 24/7. When my cousin injured her fingernail, we returned to the hotel and asked for medical assistance. We were told that the doctor would need to be called in and could take approximately 40 minutes to an hour to arrive, depending on availability. While we understand that the doctor may need to be called, this made the advertised 24/7 medical service feel somewhat misleading, as there was no doctor immediately available when medical assistance was actually needed. The food was also quite average overall. Although there was a good variety at the buffet, the quality was inconsistent, the coffee was poor, and our experience at the à la carte restaurant was particularly disappointing.
Great
We had a great stay at Elba Lanzarote. The rooms are lovely and kept really clean. Air conditioning worked well and TV has CBeebies which was great for kids. Pool area is big and has two slides which weren’t great but kept kids happy. There is also a small pool for younger kids. We went at peak time so it was busy but the pool design is clever and doesn’t make it feel too busy. It was so quiet at our room and even by pool and in restaurants it never felt noisy. Food was nicely prepared and a good variety. Could do with more protein options for kids. Drinks overall were good. Beer was nice. Wine and cava weren’t great but drinkable. Sangria was nice. But the spirits and soft drinks were branded and good quality. Staff were lovely and helpful. Raul and Maria Jose at the bars were great. Entertainment team were great especially raquel, dani, Jennifer Lulu. The whole team worked so hard. The children loved the discos and the team are very talented dancers and put on good shows. I found the theatre and restaurant very hot and felt they needed air conditioning to make the experience more comfortable for guests and staff. The beach - playa dorada which the bus goes too was so nice. And the rubicon marina is walkable from there and has market on Wednesday and Saturday morning. Really lovely. In terms of cost it was what I would expect to pay for what we received. Really recommend. Overall great experience.
On arrive reception excellent no complaints through out holiday day polite happy helpfully. Reception indoor bar areas are good . Kids pool was nice kids entertainment team worked very hard seemed to be a bit going on for kids . Location is good 15 minutes to many shops walk two beaches nice are both 20 minutes walk . Apartments are lovely . Breakfast was good . We stayed adult area pool bar food was good . Restaurant mainly in supa wasn't great it let the hotel down food to oily . Often not enough variety quality not quantity. There were nights I eat nothing. Waiters could be slow what's needed is visible manager to welcome people in organise staff greet guests. Adult everning entertainment not much going on good musicians bit boring need bingo a decent entertainment team . Playa Blanca resort is very nice 3 beautiful beaches clear blue sea . Rubicorn marina is nice to . On the whole had a lovely relaxing holiday.
DONE PANIC! The hotel is lovely. My fiancé, step daughter and I are almost at the end of our weeks holiday here and we have all had a lovely time. We were so anxious before going after reading all the recent poor reviews and were wanting to change hotels desperately but couldn’t, and we are so glad we didn’t! If you look for negatives around the hotel then yes you will find them, like all hotels. I will list them so you can be aware. Negatives - The worst one…The food. It’s OK…sometimes really nice….occasionally bad. We all found plenty to eat every day. The biggest issue was the hygiene of the food, sometimes covered with a few flies but you’re in an all inclusive hotel abroad, what do you expect. Some things looked unappealing and had clearly been left out for a while. Just avoid what looks questionable. Late night snacks (22:30) were pretty gross and gave me a bad stomach so we avoided for the rest of the trip and didn’t need to eat anyway as dinner is late. Lots of nice restaurants around the area if you fancy a trip out like we did. Did this impact our holiday? - NO! Cleaning - so far our room has been cleaned once which isn’t ideal. We haven’t complained about it though as we’re not really bothered. The pool area I think is pretty clean but not perfect and yes sometimes cup bins don’t get changed…again what do people expect😂it does not smell by the way! Did this impact our holiday? - NO! Queues- 10 minute wait absolute max. On average it is a couple minutes. Seriously?! Get over it. Did this impact our holiday? - NO! Positives- The pool area is amazing just as the photos show! The entertainment is some of the best I’ve seen abroad and so much for the kids to do. It’s summer holidays and I was expecting carnage but it’s nothing of the sort. It doesn’t feel overly busy or hectic. ALWAYS plenty of sun loungers at any point of the day. Rooms are good. Loads of activities. Local area is great and definitely worth a trip out. Shuttle bus and frequent taxis available. Staff work their bums off and have been super polite. Drinks are pretty good. Snacks all throughout the day available (TIP - lunch slacks. Breakfast is ok. Evening food is better. Just avoid lunch and get pool snacks, there is plenty to eat and fill up on). Overall the positives MASSIVELY outweigh the negatives. It’s been lush. No it’s not the Ritz…it’s an all inclusive child friendly hotel in Lanzarote which it lives up to and we thought it was pretty great :)
Good location, lovely hotel , very spacious rooms, plenty of pools and no sunbed wars but sadly let down by rooms not cleaned properly , no clean towels for a week and tea and coffee not replenished until requested. Breakfast quite good but tables not cleared quickly enough for the number of guests , shouldn’t have to do this yourself . Bins not emptied around the pool until late in the day, got very smelly. Food left out in the open for a long time attracting flies and birds. Nowhere near enough staff for the size of the hotel. Shame as first impressions were very promising, could be a really nice hotel with more care and attention
Having read some of the more recent reviews on this hotel before our stay, I was worried to the point where I momentarily considered whether we should switch hotels. We have stayed at another Elba hotel in mainland Spain before so decided not to switch and judge this on our own merits. Whilst there were a few elements during our stay which fell short of the standards we had expected, we still had an enjoyable holiday. Our accommodation was dated, however clean on arrival and kept to a good standard by housekeeping throughout. I do agree that some of the rooms are tired, ours was and could have used some TLC and an uplift. We didn’t have one of the modern bathrooms, I hope these are updated overtime as this would make a big difference. That said it had good facilities and enough space for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). We had a few minor maintenance issues whilst there with the safe and a running toilet but both were reported and addressed by the hotel the same day. We thought the swimming pools were good. Lots of options and space, we mainly used the salt water pools. The slides were a bit underwhelming for our children so not used much. Plenty of sun beds available. Pleasantly surprised to see them not being reserved early during the first few days of our stay. By the end this had changed and towels being placed early however beds still available but you’d miss out of the front row or shade. Hotel asks you not to reserve beds but does not enforce this policy when people do. We had a 7 day Waterpark ticket included in our stay. 5 min walk from the hotels beach entry/exit gate. Small but enjoyed for a few hours. Good facilities and slides for younger children (maybe up to age 12). Location we thought was good. Walked to and from the town on a few occasions. Free shuttle bus provided to Playa Dorada was a good option and took less than 10 minutes. Taxis easy to get to and from the hotel. Never waited longer than 10-15 minutes for one even during busier times. 5€ max in cost for local journeys. Food options at breakfast, lunch and dinner were generally good. Enough options to pick from, rotating themes in the evening. At times, the buffet restaurant was slow to replenish food which led to queues. Meat options were good, chicken and pork generally better. Quality of the beef was often poorer making it very chewy and dry. Ice cream set up not great, always very messy and not frozen properly so would very quickly melt. Drink options for an AI were a little disappointing, not all soft drinks included which we found unusual. No diet or zero options offered. Cocktail quality was really not very good. These were often sugary slushy style drinks so did not drink these at the hotel. Sangria was nice however when made properly and served with the fruit. Queues at pool bar and evening bar could build quickly, they were ok at certain times but would sometimes put us off having a drink in the evening. Despite this being one area of our holiday which was hit and miss, Playa Blanca has some really great restaurants to eat out in so we had various lunches and dinners out enjoying all of them. Visiting the marina restaurants is a must for the views and service. At times with this hotel, it really was the staffing and services aspects that let things down. The majority of the staff were friendly and worked hard but you could see they were overwhelmed, especially in the buffet restaurant. Most were polite but a few were short and basic requests for simple things like more cutlery were not met. The buffet restaurant was always messy as tables were just not cleared down. This took away from the dining experience, especially if you had to find and lay your own table. Things like cutlery often missing. We often wanted to eat quickly and get out as it just felt so chaotic. It was also very hot all of the time. I genuinely think the service is lacking as there are not enough members of staff working in the buffet restaurant or at the bars. If they had a few more people I think this aspect could have been better. Special mention must go to the photographers. They were all very friendly and engaging, especially with the children. We came home with some great family photos. They weren’t the cheapest but when I gave them a budget I was comfortable with, they worked with me on this and I could have easily spent the same on a photoshoot at home. Overall an enjoyable family holiday in Lanzarote.
The location, the facilities. There were enough sun beds for all.
Lack of staff in prominent areas. Mainly at meal times. I felt for the staff that were working in the restaurant. They were ALWAYS rushing to clean up and reset before another family came in. In the evening’s there were not enough staff in the bar area. There was always a queue
Our second time visiting. Can't fault the entertainment team, they've only gotten better. Variety show was fantastic! We will be back.
Genuinely had a good stay for 4nights with a toddler and my husband. But upon arrival we went to our room and the bathroom was not up to standard at all. As we were tired we left it and made a complaint in the morning, but was met with an abrupt response from a member of staff who did not allow me to express my concerns about the conditions of the bathroom and not being happy. Laura came in later who was very helpful, friendly and did her best to make us comfortable although the room could not be changed. Pool area is nice and various pools to choose from, especially liked the salt water pool. Needs more staff at the pool bar, but liked the slushy drinks. Free shuttle to one of the beached was good. Could do with more running times. We did all inclusive and i can say the food selection was nice, really enjoyed trying the various dishes. Our toddler enjoyed it and overall i think it is a good family holiday. Once those other areas are improved i think this could be an even better place. Lanzarote in general ins a lovely island what we saw if it and the weather was lovely in July mixed with a nice breeze.
Apologies for long review Please don’t be put off with the review we still had a great time at the hotel Hotel reception welcoming and staff very friendly. Accommodation was good, quiet, clean and spaciousness for two people with a pull out sofa for additional guests, room patio areas decked out with table and chairs and two recliner. Room cleaned every day. We found out one day that they remove the towels but do not replace them. Couldn’t call reception as room phone did not work, walked to reception then waited over 40 minutes for towels to arrive Pool is large with good facilities, beware water is cold and is also salt water. Plenty of sun beds available when we went end of July Meals in the buffet were as you would expect in any all inclusive hotel. Good choices, I certainly did not go hungry. The puddings on offer are excellent if you have a sweet tooth Fair choice of cocktails available, beers served only in half pint glasses but as it’s all inclusive it doesn’t matter. Good kids area and club Good activities available during the day NOW THE DOWN SIDE Basic problem with this hotel is the LACK OF STAFF The dining area at meal times at time resembles Buirut, tables are not cleared for ages there’s food on the floor no staff to get any water or wine etc for your table. We had to clear our own table then go looking for cutlery glasses etc Waste Bins along with the bins to leave plates cups etc around the pool area are not emptied all day Paper towel bins in toilets overflowing and again not emptied all day Only one person behind the bar in the evening resulting in at least a 15 minute wait to be served at busy times. I think the staff do an incredible job despite the shortage. The evening before we left I did noticed a slight improvement in the dining area but so many people had complained I think the hotel manager had to act For me this is a 3 Star hotel not a 4 Star until they sort the staffing shortage out. When they do I would certainly return
Location - 20 minute walk to town. Just over 10 mins to shops. Atmosphere - relaxed plenty of sunbeds. Rooms - clean but need tlc with broken fixtures. Food - Breakfast was good. Lunch / Dinner was average/ under stocked at times. Value - price high for service & value. Service - poor, understaffed and dinner does not include a drinking water. Reception - mixed, mostly polite. We encountered one rude lady. Amenities good for families. Small fridge. Cleaning team - very good. Pool - 3 Salt water 1 Chlorine. Return? - We would not return. For the price we paid - we have stayed in hotels with much better value, service levels and location to amenities . It was lovely and clean though.
We stayed at the Elba royal village 21/07-28/07 as a family of 4 with 2 young children. Location: The location I thought was great! Only a short walk to a local supermarket. they had a free shuttle bus 3x a day to a nearby beach which was always on time, the bus driver was always helpful with our prams and the journey was less than 10 mins. A local taxi was only €3 into the old town and easy to locate once there. Atmosphere: Our children thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment, we arrived late and managed to get a close seat at the front. We didn’t attend any of the later/adult entertainment during our stay. Rooms: We had booked a comfort suite ( separate living/bedroom) I had emailed before our stay to request that we were placed in a quieter area of the hotel away from pools and entertainment to suit our daughters needs. We were placed in the exact block I had requested. The room was clean, and larger than I had expected. The bed was HUGE. The cleaner seemed to arrive quite late to our room which we didn’t mind, there was one occasion where we had arrived back to her cleaning our room still. She was friendly and tried to have a conversation with us despite us not understanding Spanish. Food: The only thing that let the hotel down was the food. It was very repetitive, but if you aren’t a fussy eater there would always be something different for you to eat. Unfortunately, I am quite fussy and did get bored of the food by day 4. We never had an issue at dinner, there was always a clear and clean table for us and the waiters always asked what we’d like to drink within 5 minutes of us being there. (We ate at approximately 7-7:30pm) Drinks service: There were often times at the bar where you would be waiting for a long time. We didn’t have an issues of this on our holiday, but did see others that had been waiting a while. We often just waited until the queue had gone down before deciding to get up and just kept an eye on queue and the drinks we had to ensure we didn’t end up waiting without one for ages. We had a fabulous time and a great experience for our children’s first holiday, we celebrated my partners 30th birthday here too. The staff were polite and were always readily available to help. We would come back again, and prepare ourselves to eat out a few occasions.
We were getting increasingly concerned by the negative reviews at this place but reserved judgement as we tend not to take too much notice of them. Unfortunately most negative reviews written about Elba Royal Village recently are correct. We arrived late with 2 small children and were told the restaurant was closed. This is expected arriving at 9.20pm but every other 4* resort we have stayed at has at least offered something to eat and drink for late arrivals. Even a bottle of water. Our 5 year old was literally crying from hunger and we were told to come back at 11pm when cold leftovers would be out. Needless to say we did not take them up on that. We were directed to our room out the back of the hotel to be met with the hotel ‘White Party’ which for some reason is held right outside the main doors to the pool and rooms so anyone arriving has no choice but to wheel their luggage right through a crowd of people and very loud music with no assistance with direction (others seemed to have buggies driving their luggage to their rooms but we were not offered this). Not the most welcoming arrival to be honest. When we got into our room, the sofa bed had not been made up and no sheets, pillows etc had been left. When a booking is clearly for 4 people, we shouldn’t have to ask for this to be done and our 2 young children had to wait even longer to get into bed (we were not the only family this happened to so clearly there is a disconnect between housekeeping and reception). In general, the hotel is tired and needs some major upkeep. The rooms were ok and the air con in the room was very effective and quiet. However there was a horrible sewage smell coming from the shower drain throughout our stay which was very unpleasant. One of the worst addressed areas is cleanliness by the pool - there are cup stations and bins which are not emptied more than once every couple of days, so they are overflowing and absolutely stink. The snack bar by the pool is not worth a visit - always late putting out the food which is leftovers from breakfast and they are left open for flies to nest. Very minimal offering. Tables are not cleared away so leftovers attract lots of birds to feed from them. In the main restaurant, the food was ok but very repetitive. We have several fussy eaters who always managed to find something to eat which was good but the main issue in the restaurant was the lack of air conditioning so it gets very hot - not the nicest when you’re trying to eat. Clearing of the tables was incredibly slow so we witnessed lots of families clearing and cleaning them themselves in order to sit down and eat. If you arrive at restaurant opening time this wasn’t an issue but arriving midway through meant you were either queuing outside the restaurant for ages to wait for a table to be cleared or you cleared it yourself. To be clear, there is not a lack of tables but a lack of staff to clear the dirty tables. The pool area is pretty good aside from the hygiene, with slides to entertain the kids. The pool water is very cold however so personally I never wanted to swim. Understand this may be a personal preference though. I have to say that the best thing about the hotel is the animation team - they were great with our 4 and 5 year olds at the mini club and they made such a fantastic effort to put on a good show in the evening. There was only one evening show we didn’t want to stay for (which was put on by an external entertainer and not the animation team). It is a shame for them that currently they are holding up the whole hotel. In summary the staff shortages are having a huge impact on the service offering of a hotel that has the bones to be lovely. I am sure if management see this review, they will say that we should have told them our concerns during our stay (as they have with others) but guests simply shouldn’t have to complain about everything in order for things to be made better. The basics should be met as standard. Until the offering improves, I wouldn’t recommend anyone visits Elba Royal Village - we we will definitely not be returning.
We Just Got back from a 7 night stay at Elba we were in the premium suits. After some hesitation dur to all the negayive reviews we were amazed at the rooms so much soace and the clenliness was a 10/10, The food was varied and i would rate it 8/10, pool area was lovely and staff were very helpful my only criticism was not being told there was an adults only resturant abd descrovered this after 2 nights. Overall we enjoyed the stay we would defenitly come again!
After reading the horrendous TripAdvisor reviews and some of the negative posts in this group, I thought I’d share our experience whilst waiting to depart home!! It was just me (44) and my 13-year-old daughter for 5 nights. We only booked 4 days before travelling… and then I made the mistake of reading the reviews! 😅 I was honestly quite nervous, but we decided we’d make the best of it regardless. Reception The team were so helpful. We arrived late, and they kindly let us grab something to eat before completing the check-in process, which was really appreciated. Room We stayed in a Junior Suite, and it was spacious, clean and had loads of room. We couldn’t fault it. Restaurant Breakfast on our first morning was very busy, and there weren’t many tables ready. However, after that, I have to take my hat off to the waiting staff. They always had smiles on their faces, worked incredibly hard and were happy to help. We’re here during peak season, so yes, it’s busy. We’ve paid for our holiday, but so has everyone else, and I think a little patience goes a long way. The management team were very hands-on, and after that first morning, things definitely improved. The food was a little hit and miss but that might be because we are both not very adventurous, but we found something to enjoy at every meal. There was certainly plenty of choice. Pool The pool areas were clean, and we never struggled to find sunbeds, no matter what time of day we went. The pools are either saltwater or chlorinated (we discovered that the hard way when we accidentally got a mouthful! 😂). Pool Bar 🍹 Yes, there were queues at times, but they moved quickly. Most of the time, there were only a few people ahead of me. There’s also a mini snack buffet available throughout the day with things like crisps, marshmallows and other snacks. Entertainment My daughter is 13, so although we really enjoyed the Pink-themed evening (the entertainment team put so much effort into it!), we didn’t stay for the other evenings as they were more aimed at younger children. Instead, we headed back to our room for card games and some quality time together. There’s also an arcade and a bookshelf where you can swap books. One thing I would highly recommend is the dolphin and sunset boat trip we booked through TUI with Lanzarote Sea Tours. It was absolutely amazing! The crew were fantastic and did everything they could to make sure we saw dolphins. It was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday. Overall, we’ve genuinely enjoyed every minute of our 5-night stay. Everyone’s experience is different, of course, but I wanted to share ours because the reviews had me worrying before we arrived. For us, it’s been a lovely holiday, and we’re heading home with some wonderful memories. ☀️
Very disappointed… I’m a regular visitor to Lanzarote but usually stay in PDC (2-3 times a year) as we love this island. We chose the Elba this time because there were 4 generations of my family on this holiday & jet2 assured us there was something for everyone at this hotel. I’ll start with the one and only positive… The entertainment team! They worked tirelessly day & night to entertain. Pepe land was great for my grandchildren they loved the soft play & the activities available my 5 year old grandson loved the foam party. Kid’s disco every night & we all enjoyed the show when Tina Turner made an appearance. Now for the rest of my experience at this hotel. Room: looked quite nice but unfortunately was never cleaned properly the cleaner would come in empty the bin make up the bed and wipe around the bathroom sink. The floors were never cleaned or mopped. The outside area were covered with ants & birds poo & was never cleaned, the cleaner didn’t want to change towels we had to keep asking & a couple of times she only wanted to give us one towel between 3 people! Complained & guess relations offered free spa (sounds nice) until you go to the spa & half of the hotel guests are there because they were given free spa & only the pool which is quite small so not enough room for the amount of guests trying to use it was working because the sauna was broken! No wonder he gave out free spa because you couldn’t use it anyway The food: this was probably the worst all inclusive food I’ve ever experienced.. there wasn’t very much choice & it never changed the lunch & dinner was pretty much the same everyday. Lots of it was either overcooked or undercooked. The kids buffet was even worse, hotdogs, some bow pasta, white rice & carrots or broccoli every single day with the exception of chicken nuggets a couple of times. Out of the 7 of us that were there 5 of us had upset stomachs. The restaurant: I was feeling quite sorry for the staff in the restaurant for being over worked but then I see how rude & abrupt they were I kinda lost sympathy for them. The set up in the restaurant doesn’t work the staff have to clean & set up tables & also get drinks (which should be self serving) just so you get a drink with your meal & so the staff can concentrate on clearing & setup tables. Frustrated staff frustrated guests not a nice atmosphere. We didn’t eat from the snack bar because every time we went in there it was left overs from breakfast & lots of flies on the food so we didn’t chance it. We had food delivered & we went out for dinner. The bars are another frustrating experience, the pool bar (only open throughout the day) long queues, dirty cups rude staff constantly running out of beer, spirits & cups they use the small paper cups from the water station to serve beer. The only bar open in the evenings extremely long queues 30/40 minutes again frustrated guests & staff making a horrible atmosphere just not an enjoyable experience. I’ve never stayed at a hotel anywhere that had so many guests complaining all about the same issues & yet nothing was done to improve anything. The guests relations guy just tells people what he thinks they need to hear & gives a free spa. It’s not good enough. It’s safe to say we will never return to this hotel I’m not even sure I will ever trust another Elba hotel after our experience here. Which is a shame because this has the potential to be a great hotel just poorly managed & low standards spoil it!
Could not recommend this hotel less, we read the reviews online before going and were dreading it and it was worse than what we were expecting. Should have followed our gut and booked another hotel, we only get 1 holiday per year as a family and we are heartbroken that this was our experience this year. We are not fussy eaters at all but struggled each day for something to eat, there was the same food every meal and it was either over cooked or under cooked. We ended up eating out 4 nights out of 7 as after 3 nights we just couldn't stomach plain boiled pasta (which is all that looked safe to eat) it any more. The main restaurant also did not have air conditioning so it made an already miserable situation unbearable when stood around trying to find a clear table (along with all the other families!!) you were melting. Also concerning that food is being served and left out in a restaurant with no air conditioning. We never ate from the snack bar as you would get bitten alive by flies when stood waiting for food and to make it worse those same flies were also on the left over food from breakfast being offered up. Such poor hygiene no wonder so many people get poorly staying here. To get a drink on an evening it is not an exaggeration to say you were waiting 45-60 mins in a queue, and then when you were served it was in a small dirty cracked cup. Again we gave up after the 3rd night and ventured out to entertain ourselves but not ideal with children. ~ This hotel could be great, and I can see how it has glowing reviews previously but PLEASE take note of the recent negative reviews, it truly was the holiday from hell-dirty rooms, poor service, and just a generally miserable experience. Absolutely devastated that we saved all year for this experience, will be submitting full complaint to jet 2 as this is a 2 star hotel at best, not the 4 star hotel advertised.
I’m sure there will be many negative reviews on here and this isn’t something I regularly do, but I feel like I need to give a true account of my families recent stay. First of all the hotel in our eyes was a great place to stay with spacious rooms and an amazing swimming area for adults and kids. It has an amazing potential. Unfortunately there are a few things that let it down to the point where we wouldn’t return. First of all the Buffet food is very repetitive with little options for children and vegetarians. My family often struggled every day to find something that appealed to them. This is also met with a minimum amount of overworked staff that don’t have the time to clear and re-lay the tables ready for the next batch of people coming through. They are overworked getting drinks for people (not sure why self-service isn’t used here) and rushing to clean as many tables as they can whilst holiday makers get increasingly frustrated that they can’t find somewhere to sit. We then move on to the bar area in the pool. They use plastic cups to provide drinks with and out stations out for people to drop off the cups when finishing. The only problem is that they don’t have the staff to go round and clear these areas causing a huge backlog of people waiting for drinks and one member of staff serving them. This unfortunately causes more unrest for the staff as they are blamed. The bar food area is also never cleaned and the food is open space which allows flies to nest themselves into it. It’s an avalanche effect of lack of staff again to maintain each area. The evening bar got better with staff allocation throughout the week we were there, but yet again there was nobody present to clean the areas which as always caused glass and plastic cup shortages. We had a great time and the kids loved the kids club (animacion team). I feel with a few short tweaks this could be a great stay, but unfortunately the short comings bring it down and become a focus for many. My final thought is that the Elba company need to invest in their employees and this in turn would make the whole holiday experience a great one.
Disappointed with everything at this hotel poor service with staff terrible food every day rooms not being cleaned not a 4 star at all it’s a 2 star at best but charge 4 star money would not recommend it to anyone especially if they have children it’s not a cheap all inclusive we had to eat out so was more expensive so the children could have some decent meals really should be avoided not worth the upset stomach and sickness
This was our 3rd visit to the hotel and unfortunately will be our last as we were disappointed by the experience. Overall the hotel needs a lot of work. Firstly I would like to give thanks to the animation team who work incredibly hard to keep the guests entertained especially the children. They done a great job and were one of the only highlights of our stay. The pool areas are in poor condition with loose handrails all around the pools. The sunloungers were very dirty. The pool surroundings were dirty and often had not been cleaned well with dirty cups/straws etc laying around from the day before. The pool bar/snack bar was understaffed and unclean, the tables were not cleared/cleaned often enough and the cups used at the bar were cracked and not always clean. The food in the snack bar was poor quality and a real disappointment for options. The restaurant was a massive disappointment. No air-conditioning which meant it was far too hot and also too busy. The food was pretty awful too, which left us with a stomach ache for many days. The restaurant was understaffed and the drinks orders were rushed/we were given the wrong drinks and often orders were not taken until we had almost finished our disappointing meal. After the 3rd day of being stuck in the bathroom with a stomachache, we decided to eat out side the hotel to at least enjoy a meal. The room was basic. The bathroom/shower had black dirt & mould around the shower screen and walls. The paint was cracked and peeling off the wall. The outside area was dirty and the seats were not usable as they were covered in bird poop. We had to ask reception for bottles of water almost daily as there were none in the fridge after cleaning. We had no use of the Wi-Fi from our bedroom either it would not connect. The lamps in our room (living room) did not work. We were told there would be a coffee machine with pods in our room as part of our room type but there was only a small kettle with sachets of disgusting coffee. We were unable to use our included 1 night booking at one of the other restaurants as the were both fully booked for the duration of our stay. We were told this was non transferable and there was nothing they could do as it was full. We arrived late in the evening and were told there would be Some cold snacks in the restaurant for us at around 11pm. The food was poor and obviously was only the few leftovers from that evenings dinner service, stale bread and a few bits of inedible “snacks” nothing the children could eat either. We had a late flight on departure and had requested a later check out which was not possible which I do understand. We used the hospitality room for showers, the female hospitality room was awful. No aircon or windows so once the shower and hairdryer had been on the whole room was like a steam room with unbearable heat, the floors were soaking which left everything wet when trying to get dried. Quite frankly we are utterly disappointed in the hotel and feel like the money we paid did not reflect the experience we had. We will not be returning and will discourage others from spending their money here.
Weve just got back from here after 9 nights. Whilst we had a lovely time, we wouldn't return. Im not one to leave reviews and dont like to be negative but I wished I had listened to my gut and changed hotels before we went. Its not an awful hotel, but its not 4 star in my opinion. We didnt get an updated room but this didnt bother us it was clean. The hotel is just not what it looks like on the advertised pictures. It could be amazing but the main thing for us was the service was terrible. 1 (2 sometimes) staff serving behind the bars during the day and night time is not good enough at this time of year. Appreciate its not the staffs fault and they weren't rude or anything but standing 20 to 30 minutes for a drink isnt for us. The other thing that let it down for us was the food. Its the worst all inclusive food we have ever had. We aren't picky and we always found something to eat. But it was literally the same thing every day and night, we ate out the last few days cos I couldn't eat it again. And again they are so short staffed going in the restaurant was like bay route. Every table had plates and food on had to stand a good 5 minutes for one to be cleared and then a few times we ate our full meal before someone came to ask if we wanted a drink. A holiday is what you make it and we didnt let it spoil our holiday. Little one had a great time and entertaining staff were fab, but wouldn't return.
Overall lovely looking hotel with good facilities. Holiday was massively let down by the food and lack of service. Waited 45 mins one evening for two drinks. Pool bar long queue both bars had only one poor person serving. No water in room. Restaurant food ran out if didn’t go in when opened and good luck getting a drink with your food. Only plus was the entertainment team who were all fantastic. They worked really hard providing activities for both adults and children. Wouldn’t return to this hotel unless they massively improve the service and employee more staff.
Good location, short walk to the beach (1km). Rooms are ok, hotel in general needs a bit of TLC in a lot of areas. The floor of the room was not clean, very dirty actually and it was not clean during our stay. Food is average, nothing special, and the same everyday.
Dreadful …. Dirty Rooms on arrival Dirty Pool Dirty Bar Areas tables not cleaned with birds and flies all over the tables eating the left over food Rude team Understaffed on most days and tables from the evening before had drinks marks all over them 15 mins to queue for a drink at the pool bar (shatter queues in Tesco) Dirty tables and not cleared at breakfast and evening meal Loved Playa Blanca but the hotel really ruined our only holiday this year and would not stay again . 2 star at best based on the above experience Tried to complain but not really interested …
We booked Elba Lanzarote Royal Village expecting the 4-star plus standard advertised, but unfortunately our experience was nothing like it. The food was, quite simply, some of the worst we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort. Much of it was burnt, dried out, cold or inedible, and the choice for children was shocking. On several occasions the children’s options consisted of battered broccoli, battered courgettes and other battered vegetables. Our children struggled to find anything they would eat. The all-inclusive drinks service was equally disappointing. We regularly queued for 45 minutes or more just to get a single drink, which is completely unacceptable when you’ve paid for an all-inclusive holiday. There were even occasions where we weren’t served drinks with our meals at all. Cleanliness was another major concern. Many of the glasses were visibly dirty with marks and residue still on them, making us question the hygiene standards throughout the hotel. Our room had a shower that flooded the bathroom and into the bedroom every time it was used. Although this was eventually repaired, it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The attitude of some staff made matters even worse. One member of staff actually reprimanded my child for taking a napkin from another table because ours hadn’t been set. Instead of apologising, they chose to tell off a child. Guest Relations were no better. Rather than listening to our concerns, they were defensive and demanded evidence for every issue we raised. We later discovered Jet2 had been told our complaints had been resolved, which was simply not true. Apart from repairing the shower, none of the issues were addressed. After just four days we made the difficult decision to leave the hotel and pay for another hotel ourselves because we simply couldn’t face spending the rest of our holiday there. No family chooses to interrupt their holiday and spend more money unless things have become unbearable. This was by far the most disappointing all-inclusive holiday we have experienced, and certainly nowhere near the standard expected of a 4-star plus hotel. Sadly, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families travelling with children. Save your money and book elsewhere.
How TUI are advertising this hotel as 4* plus is beyond me. If you’re coming to this hotel to spend time with your family don’t bother, you’ll spend the majority of the evening separated whilst the other one is queuing 45 minutes for a drink. Most evenings he went for a drink before the evening entertainment started and by the time he’d got back from the bar the entertainment had pretty much finished. Every single meal we had to hunt down a table, clear the table and get our own cutlery, rarely got a drink without finding one of the staff to ask for one then being made to feel like a hinderance. Never saw a table get cleared then laid again just full restaurant of used messy tables. No aircon in the restaurant so sat sweating whilst doing the hotels job for them. Sunbeds are all grubby and loads of broken ones. There’s tubs round the pool to put empty cups and plates in and they’re never cleared, one of them didn’t get emptied for a full 24 hours. Snack bar is abysmal, getting a drink during the day is usually a 20 minute wait. All the sofas and seats are stained don’t look like they’ve ever been cleaned. Life guards make the rules up as the go along one day you’re not allowed inflatables then the next you aren’t, only one slide was working for the duration of the holiday. Only positive was the animation team and kids club, and that there was always plenty of Sunbeds. All the positive reviews seem to be from the adult only section. The reviews have been mentioning this hotel is understaffed for months and they haven’t bothered to do anything about it, complaining to the hotel does nothing, they tell you there’s 3 people working the bar when there’s clearly only 1 and you’ve just waiting 45 minutes for a drink. Please don’t waste your money.
We had a fantastic time. Lovely hotel. Great food. Bar staff in adults only section (Los Jameos) were amazing Chus and Arianna dancing and singing they looked as though loved their job! Very happy! Played great music and very friendly and funny
Back from a one week all inclusive holiday booked via Jet2 holidays. We’ll start with the positives - staff friendly and pool area pleasant. Now the negatives - communal areas, furniture, stained damaged and dirty, sun loungers uncomfortable and filthy, long queues at pool bar and evening bar, main restaurant not air conditioned, long waits at lunch and dinner to be served a drink, witnessed families complaining about undercooked chicken so beware, one of our party had diarrhoea & vomiting for last 3 days of holiday. Smoke alarm in room was beeping through the night, night reception staff told my husband to just take the alarm off the ceiling as no one available to help! No WiFi or tv working in rooms. The patio furniture of the rooms dirty and stained . This falls well short of the level you expect for 4 star hotel service- if you haven’t already booked look elsewhere, this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
We saved all year for this trip to Lanzarote, but sadly the pool was so cold we couldn’t use it. On top of that, the service was frustratingly slow. We often waited far too long for tables and drinks, which really took away from the whole experience. Don’t waste your money coming here.
Amazing time. Great hotel. Good food. Rooms were good Bar staff Chus & Ariana in adults only section (Los Jameos) were amazing. Played a great selection of music and very friendly and funny. A+++++++
Lovely rooms and pool but rest is below standard. Food choice limited, dirty tables, weak WiFi, drinks queues are awful dsy & night
We relly enjoy the animaccion team, without them the hotel will not be the same. Big big up to Costa Coffee
Amazing experience with Costa team tonight! We really enjoyed the show. Well done, guys!!!Thanks for this experience!
Was a lovely hotel and adult food area was excellent and staff was lovely. The family restaurant area was mad and far too busy and the food was cold. I cannot really fault anything else as everything was really good. The only fault was we needed to keep our room on and willing to pay for it but the lass on reception who clearly shouldn’t be in that line of work as not only was she scruffy with half attempt bleached blonde hair and short of a wash was rude unpleasant and not even willing to help. We had a 2 year old baby and a blind person who required daily requirement and her answer was “NO” you can try booking a room on internet along with lots of other rude things and she may as well just walked away and it was like a scene from David Williams “ computer said no” so if your staying here “ AVOID HER” she’s far too rude. Apart from that it was a lovely stay.
Family of four, two teenage boys. We are on day two. If I could speak with myself 10 months ago. I would definitely not of booked this holiday/hotel. If you want to pay for poor service and food this is the hotel for you. On arrival we went for a late dinner (not that late), it was left overs!, food was cold and sparce. Then we went to the main hotel bar for a drink after waiting 50 minutes, (no air con) no joke to be served, we discovered hardly any of our cocktails or favourite spirits were included in all inclusive. I wont go into the rest of the experience today, other than the food is very average and the service is very slow. The rooms are nice! We normally book with Jet 2 all inclusive at least 4 star hotels but this is definitely what we paid for. For all the hardworking people out there that are looking and paying for a great experience please trust me this isn't one!!
Would recommend staying here. They cater for everyone . The staff are first class & totally disagree with other complaints about the food in the restaurant in their reviews. The food was very varied & catered well with all 3 meals every day . Great quality 10/10 Looking forward to coming back here in the not too distant future.
I stayed here with my 2 children for 1 week on an all inclusive basis. This is a nice hotel which deserves its 4 stars. We booked direct, and saved money by doing so. Hotel is clean, well maintained. No sunbed wars, lots of beds available all day with umbrellas. Good choice of food for adults, although my children didnt venture beyond the chips. Location is good, a 15 min walk into Playa Blanca, but same walk back has a slight incline, taxis cheap though, 4 euro would get you back. Daytime entertainment very good, kids enjoyed the water polo etc in pool. Spa is lovely, myself and my daughter had a nice back massage. Rooms cleaned daily, beds changed once per the 7 day stay. 2 litre water left in room daily, fridge useless!. Coffee machine (Nespresso) is good. only 4 pods given though. A couple of negatives: no airconditioning in buffet restaurant, nor in theatre, or in bar area. This meant that when we finished eating we removed ourselves outside as was too hot. therefore I cant comment on entertainment at evening as we couldnt see/hear it. In addition, the cocktails available on AI were very limited. I also found that there was a delay in getting tables cleared - dont get me wrong, there were clean tables available, but I like to be close to the food to limit my walking with plates (disabled), and i found it hard to get a cleared/newly set table. People are dirty! not the hotel's fault, but why cant people bring their drink cups back to supplied bins at the pool area?? I stayed in a hotel once where if you didnt return your cup you didnt/couldnt get another drink, this hotel needs to employ some kinda policy to help with the cleaning. I would return, however the AC issue in the communal areas was a put off.
We’re half way through our holiday and, most importantly, our children are having a brilliant time. The pools are lovely, the splash pad is fantastic for younger children with four little slides that keep both our 2 and 4-year-old entertained for hours, and the larger slides into the main pool are great fun too. The animation team work incredibly hard and do a great job keeping children entertained, and the kids’ club is excellent. Even if your children are too young to be left there, parents can stay with them so they can still enjoy the soft play, colouring and activities. My only concern is that the entrance gate to the kids’ club is constantly left open, so we never feel comfortable leaving our children unattended. The hotel has some good facilities, and the staff are generally friendly and welcoming. However, there are enough issues that I don’t feel this is a genuine 4-star hotel. We arrive just after midnight with a very tired 4-year-old and 2-year-old. We’ve requested a cot through TUI well in advance, but there isn’t one in the room. We have no choice but to have our 2-year-old sleep in our bed for the first night. When we ask at reception the following morning, they confirm they are aware of the request but simply say it will be brought to the room “at some point,” which isn’t exactly reassuring. The biggest frustration throughout the holiday is getting a drink. Around the pool during the day and at the evening bar, there is almost always a queue of 15–20 people because only one person is serving the entire very long bar. It means spending a significant amount of time queuing instead of enjoying the holiday. This really feels like a management issue, because there are plenty of staff around during meals, clearing tables and tidying away, but no one seems to be deployed to the bars where guests are trying to get drinks. For an all-inclusive hotel, that means people simply aren’t able to make proper use of the drinks they have paid for. At lunch and dinner, guests aren’t allowed to help themselves from the soft drink machines because it’s table service, which seems completely unnecessary. Most of the staff (not all, but certainly the majority) act as though asking for a drink at the start of the meal is an inconvenience. Asking for a second drink is usually pointless – more than once we are told it will be brought over, only for it never to arrive. For a family-friendly all-inclusive hotel, the drinks service is easily the weakest part of the experience. The food is also disappointing. While it is generally well cooked, there is very little variety and lunch and dinner are almost identical from one day to the next. After a few days it becomes very repetitive. We also feel the room description is misleading. It advertises a “separate living and bedroom area”, which suggests there will be two distinct spaces. In reality, it’s just one room with a sofa and a TV. As the sofa has to be made up as a bed to accommodate the number of guests the room is advertised to sleep, there isn’t really a separate living area at all. Housekeeping is inconsistent. The glass recycling bins around the pool are constantly overflowing, even first thing in the morning, suggesting they aren’t being emptied at the end of each day. On one occasion we leave all of our towels in the shower to be replaced, but housekeeping rehangs at least two of the used towels and only provides two fresh ones, which seems very odd for a family of four. Overall, we are enjoying our holiday because the facilities for children are genuinely very good, and our kids are having an amazing time. However, the hotel falls short of what I’d expect from a 4-star property. The bars are woefully understaffed, and management really needs to look at how staff are deployed, because the queues and lack of bar staff are preventing guests from making proper use of the all-inclusive drinks. It is baffling to see plenty of staff busy during meals while the bars are left short-handed. With better staffing levels, improved food variety and more attention to the smaller details, this hotel could be much better, but in its current state I don’t think it lives up to its 4-star rating. The pools are lovely, the splash pad is fantastic for younger children with four little slides that kept both our 2 and 4-year-old entertained for hours, and the larger slides into the main pool are great fun too. The animation team work incredibly hard and do a great job keeping children entertained, and the kids’ club is excellent. Even if your children are too young to be left there, parents can stay with them so they can still enjoy the soft play, colouring and activities. My only concern was that the entrance gate to the kids’ club was constantly left open, so we never felt comfortable leaving our children unattended.
After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried, but I can say this place is not as bad as the reviews. We took the adults only option, ok the hotel is more focused on families, but TBH we spent most of our time in the families side and it was absolutely fine, no trouble getting sun beds waiting for drinks was not a problem it was very quick. The food was ok, if you want a more of a quiet place to eat the upstairs restaurant is the place to go, and the lunch down at the adult only pool is very good. Moan time, we took the opportunity to eat at the steak restaurant, the staff was very nice and was always happy to help, only thing is we got a vegetarian burger and a Angus burger and they was both burnt,we could not eat them but that was the only problem I had on my stay, would definitely advise repellent as I got so many bites on my leg we counted 30 from my first day. Big shout out to the guest liaison manager Maliek (sorry if spelt wrong) this guy was buzzing around making sure everyone was happy nothing was to much trouble and felt very welcome. And costa one of the ents team freindly and welcoming. Over all we had a very pleasant stay thank you. Recommendation more entertaining aimed for adults.
I’m truly gobsmacked that this is a 4 star and that Jet2 will even keep this hotel on its books. We came all inclusive. We’ve been here 4 days and so far have only been able to eat breakfast once and would only eat toast or pancakes, I wouldn’t dare eat lunch or dinner here. They don’t clean the tables for more to sit down and eat, some have complained of undercooked food and the pool bar, well there is only one person cooking then they leave to a unmanned brasserie, the tables are never cleaned and it’s basic chips and yukky sausage. There isn’t any decent fruit and the bars are managed by 1 person. In the evening you’re waiting 45 mins in the queue for a drink- tables are never cleaned by waiters. We’ve seen cockroaches around the area including the pool. We’re at the point of just wanting to go home and not even bother waiting to be moved hotels. You’d get better food in prison! I’m not even a fussy eater and nor is the rest of my family, we would eat the same each night if it meant the place was clean! Something the restaurants are NOT! There are no reps in the hotel either unless you’ve complained which doesn’t appear many people do and they just get on with it, after still spending so much money- the same as what better hotels would charge.
Spa was not too bad. Reception staff were friendly
The restaurants for me were the worst. Food was very poor and maintained poorly by the kitchen staff. Didn’t look very presentable or appealing. Both bars had this sickly smell coming from them, made it really difficult to enjoy a drink. Drinks were very average too. Lastly my bathroom in my room had the most horrible smell, not sure what it was but made me nauseous
So disappointed with this hotel. Rooms: we had a junior suite for 4 people and the room was simply too small. Not enough space to store clothes for 4 people for a week. The floors of the room were swept but not cleaned. Felt dirty while walking on them. The rooms were swept out into the hall and the debris remained there for days afterward. Bedding not changed often enough. Pool area: the pool area was filthy. It was NEVER hosed down or cleaned during our 10 day stay. The pools also looked dirty with debris visible in them. Restaurant: we only ate in the main restaurant and the food was excellent. Good variety and brilliant quality. Restaurant floors however were covered in food and not cleaned nearly often enough. Staff in the restaurant were very slow to bring drinks but on the whole pleasant with the exception of one very rude member of staff who refused to reset a table for our party of 10. This was resolved after a complaint to reception. The restaurant was also oppressively warm - no air conditioning at all. Bar: The quality of the drinks on offer was good. The staff were also friendly and attentive. However the staffing levels were abysmal. Compounded by the fact that there was only one bar open during the day. One person to serve drinks to a whole hotel of people is simply unacceptable. Regularly waiting 20-30 minutes to get a drink round the pool. In the evening, again only one bar open (this time with 2 staff most of the time) meant lengthy queues for drinks. Also there were regular equipment issues meaning things like beer and soft drinks were unavailable for periods of time. Amenities/wifi: the communal areas of the hotel also felt very dirty. Sofas in the atrium area were stained/discoloured. The main bar area and reception also had no air con so was very uncomfortable to sit in. WiFi coverage was shocking. Even in the main areas, a connection was rarely possible and in the rooms - forget it. Come on it’s 2026 - a hotel wide WiFi connection is not difficult. Overall I would definitely not recommend this hotel in its current state. Very upset at what we got for the money we spent.
We have just returned from an amazing stay at Elba Lanzarote. The pools are out of this world! Don't be put off if feel cold at first, they are totally fine once in and the salt water pools are quite so you get the whole pool to yourself! The food was lovely, especially the deserts and pastries. The animation team are fantastic, the day and night entertainment are fun and mini disco and Pepe are perfect for children! Rooms and grounds clean. It's a lovely 20mimute walk into playa blanca. This is one of the best AI holidays I've been on and we all didn't want to come home!
We have just arrived home from this resort, the rooms were lovely and clean, do think a small family would struggle with the size of them could be a bit cramped , as for the staff , they were fantastic, the reception staff were always helpful, The staff at the adult only pool and bar were brilliant as was the food in that area, the food in the al a carte restaurant was great to , as for the food elsewhere, it was ok , but the same thing every day , I would also recommend that alot of the catering staff, should take a food and hygiene course, lack of staff behind the bars can cause long queues, biggest problem is each area is badly managed, as done correctly it could be a great resort
Overall this hotel was such a disappointment! Our holiday began with a 45-minute wait to check in due to a lack of staff. Unfortunately, this set the tone for the rest of our stay. The hotel appeared to be seriously understaffed throughout, with employees clearly overworked and struggling to cope. We regularly had to wait around 30 minutes just to be served a drink We don’t blame the staff for this as they were obviously doing their best, The cleanliness and hygiene standards were unacceptable. Tables in the restaurant and outdoor areas were left uncleared for long periods, attracting flies and birds feeding on leftover food. Bird droppings were present in dining areas, which we found extremely unpleasant. We were also concerned that hot food was often only lukewarm and cold food was not kept properly chilled, raising concerns about food safety. We feel that unless things improve the likelihood of a food poisoning outbreak is high. Bins in the pool areas overflowed with rubbish. Housekeeping was inconsistent, with our room not being cleaned every day as expected. On the plus side our room was nice, spacious and the air con was really good. The grounds are also beautiful The complementary bus to the beach was great and the local area was beautiful The entertainment team were brilliant. We wouldn’t come here again because of the lack of service, cleanliness and staffing issues.
I really enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and the friendly, welcoming staff. The food was delicious and offered a great variety of options. The place was clean, comfortable, and overall a wonderful experience. I would definitely visit again.
I don’t have any complaints. Everything was excellent, and I was very satisfied with my experience.
Not impressed, the rooms are ok but not enough wardrobe space if you have more than 2 people in a room. Maid service is hit and miss, bedding not changed until I asked for it on day 8 of our holiday and they either turn up at 9.30 or 4pm when you want to chill and get ready for the evening. Bar service, long queue at times, today I asked for 2 drinks, got given one, then he started serving someone else, so had to jump in and ask for my other drink. People in the queue near me were smiling as if to say yup it’s crap service all round here. The restaurant gets very repetitive, we’ve eaten out quite a few times as we couldn’t stomach it. One breakfast there was a cockroach on the back of my daughter’s chair! The kids disco is inside and it’s so hot, and the amusement arcade was unbearably hot, we only used it once. Had it been cooler we would have been in every night. The reception staff and great though, always helpful and polite. The spa was ok, had a lovely full body massage but they didn’t massage my feet (my favourite bit) shame. When it gets busy the drinks collection stations over flow and don’t get emptied, so drinks are then served in paper cups.
Fantastic reception staff. Thanks to Mihaela, Morganne, Paula and David. They will all to make you feel welcome and on holiday.
Firstly, Chus from the adults only bar/restaurant made our trip. He’s entertaining, funny and exactly what we needed by that pool. Good music and such a good atmosphere, what we were looking for at the hotel. Room, staff and service were perfect. Everyone was so welcoming and provided good service. All of them. The only aspect that let the hotel down had been the food in the Italian restaurant. We decided to go for our last night and although the service was amazing, the pizza we had served was inedible. Mushy, greasy, served differently to everyone else’s which made us wish we spent the money elsewhere especially considering it was our last holiday dinner. Locations is great as we’re only 7 minutes from the beach, reception call a taxi that comes in under 5 minutes.
Very good holiday, Chus looking after us and making sure we are all good and happy. He was always joyful and always had a smile on his face.
We're on a family holiday. Hotel is nice with lovely pool area. However this hotel is severely let down by a lack of staff. Long queues for the bar (with just one bar server), very basic/poor quality drinks and not great customer service. The staff are trying but just not enough of them. Guests getting frustrated and it's not relaxing to wait 20mins for a drink. The tables are rarely cleared and reset in the restaurant. It's a shame because the hotel could be great with better staffing. Hopefully it will improve.
Ghus was amazing, he was so lovely and looked after all of us, makes everyone smile and brightens up everyone’s day! Very clean and the food is amazing in the premium snack bar! thank you so much, Ghus is a credit to the team!🥰🥰
We are a family of 13 who have come out here together as we have had a tough time and so far we have had a lovely holiday, enjoying the adults only area. The food and drinks at the pool bar has been spot on. The staff including Ghus has been so amazing and entertaining, making our experience here more enjoyable so friendly and can't do enough for us. He's an asset to your hotel without him it would be so quiet. Just to add the food in the main hotel up and down could be a bit better and a little more variety not been too enjoyable. But the main thing is we are enjoying ourselves. Thank you
Chus was absolutely fantastic made our days soooo much fun. He’s a star
Stayed at the premium suites which are lovely and modern and clean. Food and drinks are lovely and good quality. Special shout out to Adriana at the adult snack bar, she was always smiley and couldn’t do enough to help, with a good sense of fun. Thank you for a great stay 😊
Lovely stay at the Elba Lanzarote Premium Suites. We opted for the Prestige Package, which certainly helped with having the minibar replenished everyday. Chus and the staff at the La Jameos pool bar are great. They work very hard, and nothing is too much trouble. They also play great music throughout the day which really adds to the atmosphere. Overall, a very nice stay.
The jamos bar, was by far the best bar for food, drinks and entertainment by staff especially (Chus) he was very energetic and created a vibey atmosphere!
First impressions weren’t great as we arrived late at night tired with two young children and found no water in our fridge (had to go back to reception to ask for it) and the room wasn’t clean - floor was dirty and sandy and there was even someone’s hair wrapped around the hairdryer! We had also emailed ahead to ask for a cot in the room for our baby which wasn’t provided until we asked reception and it was left outside the next day. Safe is 4 euros per day which we would have expected to be included for free. Towels are 10 euros each but you do get this back once handed back in. Dining experience wasn’t up to standards for a 4* hotel. Not enough staff clearing tables and serving so often we cleared our own table to be able to sit down and there was lack of cutlery, glasses and cups. We enjoyed the pizza and there was always enough options to eat but it did get a little bit repetitive. At lunch and dinner the drinks were not self service but again not enough staff to serve the amount of guests so wait was too long. The staff available were working hard but there is just not enough of them. The pool snack bar was even worse with birds pecking at uncovered food and plates that weren’t being cleared away. To get a drink at the pool bar was often 15 min wait as only one person behind the bar serving. One day the beer ran out and on another occasion there was no glasses so served in a paper coffee cup! Pools were good and clean but towels needed to be put down early on a morning to secure a sunbed near the kids area as it gets very busy. On a positive note our son loved the kids entertainment and the team were fantastic. We also enjoyed some of the adults entertainment such as the singers and movie quiz it was just a shame the wait for the bar was so long. Snacks such as crisps and sweets at the bar were a nice touch however. Location is fine 20 min stroll to centre which we didn’t mind and there are plenty nice restaurants to eat out. Taxi is only about 5 euros if you didn’t want to walk. We also enjoyed the free shuttle to the beach and its good it has different time options for drop off and pick up. This hotel could be excellent and the 4* it’s advertised at if it was staffed properly to keep on top of cleanliness and customer service.
Our overall stay was excellent, we were in the Adults only premium suites. Room was good but showed wear and tear, shower was ok but water pressure wasn't great. Adults pool and Jameos snack bar is great, staff are amazing, however could do with more staff. Chus and Adriana were lovely and very entertaining. Food in El Mirador and Jameos was good with a decent amount of variety. Nonna's was very nice but only open Mon-Fri. Only managed to book once. Would recommend for Adults only and will come back.
Lovely location Great room's Amazing air-conditioned Great pools
The hotel its self if lovely the pool is brilliant, grounds are nice, rooms need an update. Don't waist your money upgrading unless its for adults only. The biggest let down is lack of staff to clean up tables and serve in the restaurants and the bars. This could be your biggest flex and you could really call yourself 4 star if you sort this. Having one serve on a bar with a pool full of people is 2 star service at best.example at breakfast at9.30 am no tables at all all had stuff on them with 2 people that i could see trying to clear them and slowly at that . Sort that and we will be back, dont and your going to be getting a lot of bad reviews and the only people that can sort that are the hotel owners and management. Easy fix to keep your 4 star but at vest your doing 2/3 star service just now. Ii

The thing that makes this hotel so special is the staff. From Reception, cleaners, gardeners, waiting staff and entertainers they are all first class. We never go back to a hotel, I always think there are so many to visit why do something you’ve done before but this is the second time we’ve been here following a visit in October. I am a wheelchair user and the resort is so accessible, we had an adapted room which was brilliant. We never had a problem getting a sun bed, sometimes we had to use the main pool rather than the adults only pool but this wasn’t a problem for us. If I did have to find a fault it would be with the adult only entertainment, it wasn’t terrible but if you don’t like saxophone players find something else to do on an evening as we had 3 in the 11 nights we were there, some of the singers weren’t very good either. Food was good lots of choice including hot and cold meals and food cooked while you waited. Breakfast was the same the freshly cooked omelettes were delicious. we used the pool bar for lunch, lovely burgers and pizza. It’s only about a10-15 minute walk down to the front where there are lots of bars and a beautiful beach. Finally I must mention a couple of the staff who made our stay a bit special Chus and Adrina were brilliant really good fun and treat you as if you really were special. Tiffany was another who worked really hard and nothing was too much for her. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will probably go back again in October. I always hire an electric scooter from Island Mobility, as we go with a manual. They are brilliant
Would like to come again Felt welcome
10/10 holiday. We have just returned from an amazing family holiday. After reading some reviews we felt apprehensive before but that was quickly changed as everything was perfect from arrival. Our rooms were a great size with all amenities needed, even adding a baby kit when requested. Milk for our baby, new towels every day, more pillows when we needed them, nothing was too much. The food was different every night with so much to offer for everyone. Brilliant options for adults and children. The staff in the restaurant worked so hard to keep all the tables clean and serving drinks. We especially loved sitting outside for our evening meal. The entertainment team are spectacular making sure all the children are involved and take the time to get to know each one of them. Our little boy is shy and took a while to relax but Rachel from the entertainment made sure he wasn’t left out and made us feel so comfortable. The pools are beautiful, the bar and snack bar are always full of everything you need for a day at the pool. We loved the shuttle bus and spent a couple of days at the beach and harbour. Don’t let any bad reviews stop you from booking this hotel for your holiday, it has everything you need and would recommended to anyone. Thank you Elba for a unforgettable holiday x
The room we received was lovely, modern and nice fluffy towels. The food was a massive disappointment and any eating time there was no quiet area. Literally hundreds of screaming toddlers, dirty tables, hot enough cups or spoons, everything is self service and mostly uncovered with flies crawling over cheese, meats and veg. No fly zapper machines noticed anywhere. We ended up with sickness and diarrhoea on numerous occasions and 3 out of 4 of our party. Put a notice on the Facebook page to ask if others were suffering and admin refused to publish! When speaking to others realised we were not alone. If you have under 5s you are in for a treat; it’s like a massive toddlers convention, animation team geared for small kids, little for 9 years upwards l. Even my grandson didn’t want to go to the evening entertainment as the animation female too loud and too many kids running around, mostly unchecked by Parents. The one night we had a nice meal was the steak night at the brasserie which was lovely and fresh of fresh and beautiful. The whole place is understaffed, one person serving a whole bar. Before arriving I was not aware the the adult only part was premier only, I went across to have a coffee without being in a nursery environment and was abruptly told off that I was not meant to be there, my “goat class” silver band meant I was not permitted to a peaceful holiday. If you go premier you also have a civilised pool bar, nicer food and a nicer separate dining and entertainment area, if not and you want to live in chaos for a week, this resort is for you. On a happier note, the pools looked lovely but some had broken tiles. The spa area was lovely but the sauna was out of order most of the time. There is a decent gym and the indoor pool is lovely.
We had a bumpy start waiting over an hour to check in late at night with young kids was not fun, and then to head into a dirty room, having been given the wrong directions to get to it also not fun! However…. I would definitely recommend this hotel and even go again. They really turned it around and Andrea on the reception team was truly fantastic. They sorted a new room which was perfect, and really looked after us the rest of the trip. The food is amazing! Great choice and the staff are so lovely in what is a very busy dining room! We tried both À la carte restaurants too and had a fabulous meal in both - my only criticism is that it may be good to do half portions for kids in these areas as we ended up wasting a lot and I hate seeing food waste… The kids area were just fab too, great sand area, great kids play rooms and the small pool is great fun and very safe for them with plenty of room for parents to be close. Drinks were good and house wine was quite good too! Great shuttle bus service which we used to explore the town one day. Overall, it could have been a bit of a disaster holiday but ended up amazing, a proper turn around and a show of what good customer service can do! Thanks for a fantastic holiday to all the team here!
This is my second time at this hotel...prestige Adults only area. I came 3 years ago and absolutely loved it that much that I was excited to come again with my sisters... We won't be visiting again! The hotel itself is lovely, however a little rundown in places, there seems to be a staff shortage and the food has gone down hill dramatically. We ended up eating out some days. Some of the staff are wonderful, although we did have a rude encounters with some staff members sometimes. RECEPTION: The reception team are fantastic, very helpful and polite. ADULT POOL AREA: small pool but area good, nice and quiet. Fresh pool towels are supplied at €10 deposit which you can change everyday. SPA: we didn't use the spa, we looked but it wasn't for us due to being crowded. FOOD: we were not impressed with the food. 3 yrs ago it was amazing, themed nights, freshly cooked and delicious. This time is was the practically the same everyday, bland, flies on meat and salad and not the best. Breakfast was lovely, lunch was at Jameos bar which is lovely freshly prepared salads and then the usual of burgers, chicken burgers, pizzas, sandwiches etc. Staff in upstair restaurant quite slow due to shortage. If you particular about decaf coffee then take your own as theirs isn't that nice. we went all inclusive so drinks were included. (mojito not included) BAR: large selection of drinks. Bar staff are friendly and lovely. Jameos staff are gorgeous. LA NONNAS RESTAURANT: this is a Italian in the hotel. We were all really looking forward to this. However I have an allergy which was not taken serious. The head staff lady was condescending in telling me what was in my meal and even though I explained that my food cannot in no circumstances be cross contaminated... She didn't forward this on. I ate my food and boy oh boy was I ill. I had an allergic reaction. I did speak to customer relations the next day and the protocol they have clearly was not followed that night. Luckily I am not anaphylactic but it was a very unpleasant poorly night. ENTERTAINMENT: Adult entertainment nice, more of a relaxed vibe. ROOMS: the rooms are nice , which is more like an apartment, spacious and comfortable which a seating and lounging area outside. However our A/C didn't work properly so we had to put the fan on which was noisy and didn't make a difference. CLEANER: Dishes not taken away. Bed and room not made on 1 day. Overall the hotel is nice, some of the staff are lovely but as stated i will not be returning. There is a beach, shops and supermarket within 20 min walking distance
Overall we had a good stay here but some improvements needed. We had an apartment in the adults only section of the hotel and the rest of the family with children stayed in the family area. Positives first: The reception team were friendly and our suitcases were taken to our rooms which saved hassle as the complex is large The hotel and gardens are well maintained and very spacious so didn't feel crowded. The apartments were large, clean and with comfy beds. There is a big decking area and patio furniture too. Rooms were cleaned and replenished with water etc daily. The children loved the mini disco. The animation team worked hard. The food overall was good. A big selection and so something for everyone. The hotel is an easy 15-20 minute walk downhill into Playa Blanca which we enjoyed. a little harder coming back up! Negatives Check in seemed to take a long time and so there were always a queue if you needed help from reception. Long queues at the bars. There was usually only 1 or 2 people serving. They worked hard and went as fast as possible but expect to be waiting for 15 minutes for a drink. The buffet restaurants are very chaotic and there is not enough staff to clear tables. We often had to wait a while or clear them ourselves. They also ran out of coffee cups, bowls etc at breakfast which is not really acceptable. You had to wait a while to be served drinks at dinner. We waited so long at one point and so helped ourselves to a bottle of water which they soon came over and told us off. You have to pay for the safe in the room which i have never had at other 4 star hotels. The pools are lovely but very cold! it was a struggle for the children. It is also quite slippery around the children's pool area. I do believe more staff would help to improve what seems to be a running theme in the reviews of this hotel with regards to waiting times for drinks and the chaos at breakfast/lunch/dinner. I have stayed at nicer hotels with better service for the same price and so would only recommend this hotel for families with younger children.
Food and room were excellent. Long waits for drinks at the pool bar. Lack of staff . Otherwise really good stay
Honest review… I read lots of bad reviews before arriving and honestly I was worried but I’d like to reassure anyone that has booked or reading reviews to possibly book… don’t not let them put you off! We come with zero expectations after what we read and figured no matter how bad it was going to be it had to be better than being at home and going to work.. Pros - rooms and grounds are so lovely and very modern, the pools and areas surrounding are lovely, but I can see why picky people would complain, the pools are cold but with the heat of the sun, after a minute of getting in you get used and it’s a nice break from the heat! Now I read a lot of the biggest issues were around food and meal time, we were always one of the first for breakfast and same for evening meal just so we could have a fresh, clean experience, I would really recommend coming at the opening times as it’s quieter, plenty staff if needed and everything is fresh with lots of cutely and tableware available, we loved all the food and there is something for everyone all labelled for allergies aswell. The animation team were amazing and my little girl absolutely loved Pepe and the kids disco each night I think she has made memories to last a lifetime! It can get very windy but that is apparently normal for Lanzarote and obviously the hotel has no control over that, but bare it in mind if coming to Lanzarote as we always had all our things blowing everywhere but again out of everyone control. The facilities in the room were perfect, the aircon was powerful, the hairdryer was really strong, the shower was powerful and we had no room issues, my only downfall would be our hot drink items (tea, coffee, sugar, milk) weren’t restocked each day and I had no cup and saucer for 2 days and had to ask for one and took over a day to get them. I did see one or two mosquitos early morning and at night but none in the room or inside the buildings. We booked the Texas ranch zoo and waterpark and would highly recommend as a day out we absolutely loved it and would come back to playa Blanca just for this day! A few cons but only being picky and wouldn’t affect my decisions to come back. - one site shop doesn’t sell drinks only bottles of water and milk (on shelves not in fridges) - no cash machines on site for arcades or taxis. - 15 min walk minimum to any beaches shops or things outside the hotel. - €4 per day charge to use room safe (we didn’t pay and just hid our valuables in the room were we didn’t think cleaners would look or go) Despite the few minor cons we would come back and loved our stay here!!
Very clean, well maintained and catered for everything we needed. Accommodation was excellent, food was excellent, great variety.
Limpio buena disposición, en especial la terraza
El ventilador que hacía un poco de ruido. Por sacar algún fallo. De verdad que todo muy bien
We stayed at Elba a couple of nights weeks ago and ultimately it is disappointing and we would not return. The hotel has a great deal of potential but is poorly managed. The pros: The rooms are nice and well set out. The animation team are very nice and friendly. The grounds are well maintained and look nice. The cons: The food is not great - It’s extremely repetitive mostly overcooked and from my opinion not made with any care. The queue for drinks in both bars is ridiculous - You can easily queue for 15 minutes at a time to just go and pick up a couple of cokes or beers. The pools are all cold - the little ones are heated slightly which means they are overcrowded and the big ones are hardly used as they are so cold. This means the sun beds by the warm pools are all full but plenty of space by the cold ones. Every morning at breakfast they run out of coffee cups and plates - On 4 of the 7 days I had to ask for a coffee cup and wait around for a staff member to go to the kitchen to get me one. The juices at breakfast are undrinkable and the machine that dispenses them is not clean. Leading up to the holiday I read some reviews of those that have had a similar experience and hoped that the management were listening and doing something about the issues. It looks like they are not! Replying to a review is not the same as fixing the issue. If you have booked with Elba and can swap I’d probably consider doing so, especially if you value food and drink being an important part of your holiday.
We had a wonderful stay at Elba Lanzarote and would highly recommend this hotel, especially for families. The food was excellent, with plenty of variety and options to suit everyone’s tastes. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere and great facilities, making it an ideal choice for a family holiday. The only one slight negative would be the pools are cold.
Yet another great visit to this fabulous hotel this being my 6th visit and won't be my last.Again stayed in the Premium adult only section of the Elba. Villas are really spacious and well maintained with lovely surrounding well tended gardens the perfect place to relax.Food selections very good no negatives there, something for everyone, drinks plenty of choice but would prefer to have branded drinks as opposed to local brands but not really that much of an issue. Long queues still at the La Bohema bar, just need extra staff.......but all in all a great place to holiday, especially if you have children and stay in the resorts village, the animation team do a tremendous job with the night time entertainment for the adults and for the children engaging with all ages, nationalities, even getting them to sing in different languages and dance routines which they all do with great gusto.Pepe is a real winner for this hotel, long may it continue.
We booked this hotel expecting a 4-star experience, but unfortunately it fell well short of that standard. I had stayed at the Elba in Palma Nova a few months before which was beautiful, so thought this was a safe bet...sadly not! The restaurant was one of the biggest disappointments. At almost every meal we had to clear and set up our own table because so many were left dirty. Finding clean tables, mats, crockery and cutlery became a daily scavenger hunt. Food quality was really poor, with oxidised fruit, undercooked chicken and slimy sweetcorn all served during our stay. You couldn't get served a drink with lunch and they got stroppy if you helped yourself. Our room wasn't much better. On arrival, I stepped on broken glass, and the dust on the walls was so thick it was impossible to ignore. Overall, cleanliness throughout the hotel was well below what we expected. The bar was another constant frustration. Queues were regularly 15–20 people deep with only one person serving. There wasn't a single day when we didn't spend a significant amount of time waiting, which was particularly difficult as my mum has mobility issues. We did raise our concerns with hotel staff during our stay. While they made a small change to how we entered the dining area, very little else was done to address the issues we reported. No hotel is perfect, but the combination of poor cleanliness, disappointing food, constant queues and the lack of meaningful action when problems were raised left us feeling very let down. Sadly, this was not the 4-star holiday we were sold.
Beautiful Hotel , My room was immaculate and very comfortable, Spacious
As above
It’s our second stay here and we love this hotel! We’ll be back next year as well. Great entertainment and entertainment team, amazing staff and food, very nice spa and overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone.
We have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Elba resort. Overall the hotel complex is very good. Food was always a varied choice, omelettes were always nice in the morning with varied fillings. Hotel reception staff, bar staff and entertainment team were fantastic. Our room was at the back of the resort which was perfect on a night time it was lovely and quiet and you could relax outside. My daughter fell in love with a little tabby cat that she called blue who would come over to us in the morning and evening for a little fuss. The hotel location is really good and only about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to the water park. Pool facilities are really good and a lot bigger than it looks on the photos/google maps. I did notice on the last day that there is a seat for disabled people in the main pool to help them get in that I thought was really nice to see. The only negative I have about the hotel is the afternoon/evening in the restaurant is the drink service. This was very hit and miss, some times you could be waiting for 10-15 minutes to get a drink. When you did go over to the staff they could be rude In telling you to go back to ten table and they will come and take your order. Some staff would see us sit down and ignore us to take our drink orders, in the end we would take our drinks of water in rather than wait for the staff. We would return again as the resort it self is very good but the restaurant staff need to be improved on
This was our second visit to the Elba and we were not disappointed. From initial interaction with Reception through to Housekeeping, Adult Pool Bar, Restaurant and Main Bar all staff were polite, courteous and more than happy to assist. The main restaurant for adults only, always had a wide choice of foods for breakfast and evening meal. The adult pool bar had a wide choice of snacks and was covered by an amazing character by the name of Cush. Always had a cheery attitude and quick to serve. The adult pool had on a daily basis demonstrations provided by Ramon, always a pleasure with his stories and concoctions. The room we were provided with was spotless and well maintained by housekeeping, the grounds were well looked after, the only blip was the usual sunbeds as not enough provided at the adult pool, always busy (though we never failed to get one) and there was one or two disappointed guests who didn't get one. The pool was its self clean and well maintained. The adult, all inclusive package is well worth the value.
We had three rooms and each room had faults my fan was hanging off the wall balcony door wouldn’t lock the other rooms bathroom had a leak a/c didn’t work food was really bad most nights snax available were crisps (soggy) and jelly sweets that was it 20 min walk to town otherwise nothing there
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Elba Royal Village Lanzarote and honestly couldn’t fault the hotel. We arrived around midnight and received a lovely welcome from reception. The hotel immediately had a real “wow factor” – it was spotlessly clean, spacious and smelt amazing throughout. Reception staff gave clear directions and our room (401) was easy to find, located right next to the adults-only area. We travelled as a family with a 10-year-old and a 1-year-old, and the room was perfect for us. It was extremely spacious with plenty of room for suitcases, a pram and the travel cot we had requested. The room included an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, fridge and safe. There was a large double bedroom and a separate living area with a pull-out bed. One of our favourite features was the private patio/garden area. Ours wasn’t overlooked at all, and we made great use of it in the evenings once the baby was asleep. It was lovely to sit outside with a drink and relax. The hotel is fantastic for families. The swimming pools were always clean and well maintained, and Pepeland/kids club was brilliant for all ages. It also provided a welcome break from the midday sun. The main restaurant is buffet style with plenty of choice every day. We particularly enjoyed the themed evenings, including sushi and Mexican nights. We have some fussy eaters as well as a toddler, but everyone always found something they enjoyed. There is also a dedicated children’s section with plastic plates and cutlery, which was a thoughtful touch. If I had one small criticism, it would be that the restaurant layout can feel a little chaotic at busy times, with people walking in different directions trying to find food stations. Morning queues for coffee and juice could also be quite long. However, evening meals were much more relaxed, and drinks were served directly at the table as part of our all-inclusive package. The pool bar was excellent, with quick service and a great selection of branded alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, slushes and snacks. It was ideal for a light lunch during the day. On our final evening, we managed to get a table in the Italian restaurant and it was a real highlight. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly, the food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were wonderful with the children. It felt like a real treat after enjoying the buffet all week. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We spent most mornings exploring the local area. Flamingo Beach is around a 10-minute walk away and is perfect for a coffee, drink, beach visit or supermarket trip. The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus to Dorada Beach, which we used several times. We often walked back via the marina, which took around 15–20 minutes with a pram and was an easy, pleasant stroll. One recommendation for families travelling with young children would be to book a private airport transfer. We did this after reading recommendations from previous guests and were very glad we did. After a long flight, the last thing we wanted was a busy transfer bus with a tired baby. As a side note unrelated to the hotel, our experience at Lanzarote Airport on arrival wasn’t great. Customs and border control were extremely busy due to several flights landing at the same time. We spent around 40 minutes queuing for the new facial recognition e-gates before being told children couldn’t use them, then had to join another queue for border control which took a further 45 minutes. After a four-hour flight, it was hot, stressful and exhausting. That said, once we arrived at the hotel everything was fantastic. We felt safe, relaxed and happy throughout our stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean, family-friendly and well run. We would absolutely return and would highly recommend Elba Royal Village Lanzarote to anyone travelling with young children. Thank you to all the staff for helping make our family holiday so enjoyable! This reads as a genuine 5-star TripAdvisor review and includes enough detail that other families travelling with young children will find it really helpful.
Very poor experience very under staffed queues were very long every day cleanliness was very bad not once did I see a table get cleaned properly in the dinner hall, the pool area was not cleaned daily most mornings you would still see cups and plates under the beds and the 1 day that they jet washed the pool area they done it at 10.30 when everyone was already sunbathing, food was very basic
