The staff were very nice and helpful. The room is spacious and comfy. The pool is huge and the beach is not bad. Breakfast has anything you’ll need.

It’s not that close to many things. If you don’t have a scooter/ car then you’ll have to walk a bit to the nearest 7/11 but there are more restaurants and shops that are not walking distance.

The room was big and comfortable, bed 10/10 , a good view at pool. Inside the room always clean , room service is excellent

Schöne, eimalige und sehr gepflegte Hotelanlage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und sehr achtsam. Das Frühstück war auch auf einem sehr hohen Niveau. Wir hatten einen Bungalow und waren mit dem außergewöhnlichen Grundriss und Ausstattung sehr zufrieden

Der Strand sollte besser vom Plastikmüll befreit werden. Es reicht nicht nur einen 3 Meter breiten Streifen entlang der Anlage zu reinigen. Wir haben das zum Teil selbst übernommen und die angespüllten Plastikflaschen gesammelt, da uns der Anblick doch sehr gestört hat

I really enjoyed my stay at The Dewa Koh Chang. The hotel is beautiful and the beach is just a few steps away. My room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. The staff were super friendly and made me feel welcome. The pool was amazing, and I spent a lot of time there. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. It was the perfect place to take a break and enjoy nature. I had a great experience and didn’t want to leave. I would definitely come back again and recommend this hotel to my friends

We stayed at this hotel during July, and it was a wonderful experience! The location is absolutely perfect—right next to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, with breathtaking sunsets every evening, and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and even a clinic. The food and evening vibe were fantastic: a rich and varied breakfast, and almost every evening there were dinners right on the beach accompanied by live singers, which created a magical atmosphere. On top of that, the staff was exceptional—super attentive, deeply generous, and created a calm, welcoming feel. They even put great effort into beautifully decorating our room. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time at The Dewa. We stayed in room 132 (third floor) and the room was better than I expected. I loved the layout and it had everything we needed. If you prefer more privacy, I would recommend booking a villa instead. The balconies all face out toward the public spaces offering little to no privacy. It rained only late at night and sitting on the balcony was amazing to watch it. The staff are incredible. They were so very helpful and because I was working while on holiday, they allowed me to use the cafe after hours. All the staff, especially the receptionists, made our stay even better. We easily rented a bike for 250baht/day at the front desk. I’m not a huge fan of breakfast at hotels so I am hard to please. I can say that it was decent. We also had dinner at the hotel one night and the seafood was great. The atmosphere was amazing especially with view of the beach behind the hotel. The hotel vibe was just so chill and relaxing.

Everything about our stay was amazing. The location is perfect, the welcome was warm, and the staff were truly exceptional !! I would like to sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so special. What really sets this hotel apart are all the thoughtful little touches. From the bath salts and complimentary minibar to the beautiful details on the bed after housekeeping, everything was carefully prepared. We also loved the lovely lemongrass scent that filled the room after it had been cleaned, it made coming back to the room even more enjoyable. Everything was simply beyond perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would happily come back !

Natur känslan var härlig, bodde i villa typ bungalow känsla modern men ändå i en skön stil som om djungel känsla. Trevlig o hjälpsam personal. Älskade duschen på rummet med jämn flöde på varmvattnet.

Restaurangen maten var ganska trist, smaklöst o känslan av att passerat slut datum. Förstod aldrig hur städning funkade, fanns ingen skyllt eller system, städerska kom även in i rummet medan vi fortfarande låg i sängen.

Fijne kamers, heel fijn zwembad. Goed ontbijt. Ook goed eten bij het resort. Personeel bij ontbijt en beach restaurant mega vriendelijk ook alle housekeeping.

Personeel bij de receptie konden niet allemaal goed Engels, en we misten er het warme welkom wat we bij andere hotels wel hebben ervaren. De muziek bij het ontbijt vonden wij niks.

Das Dewa ist ein außergewöhnlich schönes Strand-Hotel mit einem sehr ansprechenden und intelligenten Design. Vielleicht eines der schönsten Hotels dieser art in Thailand, sicherlich auf Koh Chang. Der Baustil ist eine raffinierte Mischung aus einem tropischen Dorf und einem städtischen Loft. In den Tropen verwittert Beton sehr schnell, sodass Gebäude schnell häßlich werden können. Im Dewa wurde dieses Problem in das Design integriert. Die Gebäude erscheinen geradezu stolz auf ihre Patina zu sein. Sehr raffiniert und sehr gemütlich. Das Personal ist höflich und sehr gut ausgebildet. Der Sunset-Strand und das zugehörige open-air Restaurant sind einfach nur toll. Sehr bequemes und ausreichendes Strand- und Poolmobiliar. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist sehr reichhaltig und wird laufend gepflegt und nachgefüllt. Es gibt eine Omlettstation in der man frische Eierzubereitungen bekommt.

Wir hatten eine Villa gebucht. Die Badewanne ist in den Boden eingelassen, sodass man einen großen Schritt machen muss um herein bzw heraus zu kommen. Leider gibt es keinen Haltegriff hierzu. Deshalb haben wir sie nicht benutzt. Auch ist es schade, dass es keine Handtuchhalter im Bad gibt, mit Außnahme an der Badewanne, aber die ist vom Waschbecken und der Dusche mehrere Meter entfernt. Der Frühstückskaffee war für unseren Geschmack, für ein Frühstück, zu stark geröstet und hatte einen zu hohen Anteil an Kaffeesatz. Vielleicht wurde der Kaffeeautomat deshalb auch nicht besonders häufig benutzt, was in Hotels dieser Größe eher ungewöhnlich ist.

The beach.It’s not the place for swimming really because of rocks under water also sea has drastic tides and than washes out all rubbish from the canal near by. If you wanna enjoy swimming go to white sand beach.The sand is gold not white :)

Die Balkone und Terrassen der Villen sind etwas nah beieinander und bieten daher keine Privatsphäre.

I loved the unique rustic tropical design here. The polished concrete mixed with thatched roofs looks amazing against the lush greenery. The resort sits right on a beautiful white sand beach, and the sunset views from the beachfront are absolutely stunning. The highlight for me was definitely the pool. It’s a massive black-tiled swimming pool that looks so cool and sparkles beautifully when the sun hits it. The whole place feels very peaceful and private, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. I spent most of my time swimming, walking around taking photos (so many great photo spots), and just unwinding. They also have beach massages, kayaks, paddleboards, and diving tours available if you want to be active. They also have an EV charging station on-site, which made our road trip stress-free.

Het resort is absoluut Instagrammable. Iedere plekje in het hotel ziet er prachtig uit en moest ik vastleggen. We zaten in een villa en die was ruim en had heel goede AC.

Je ziet helaas toch wel tekenen van veroudering en dat is jammer met zo een mooi hotel! Te beginnen met de appartementen die aan het zwembad liggen; ik vond ze er erg verouderd uitzien aan de buitenkant en de verf bladert er vanaf. Daarnaast vind ik dat het hotel best kan investeren in comfortabele ligstoelen aan het zwembad en bij de zee: wij hielden niet langer dan een uur vol voordat we pijn kregen aan ons achterwerk. Het ontbijt en de presentatie vind ik basic, maar voldeed wel. Ik denk dat met een paar aanpassingen de totale experience van het hotel nog beter wordt!

Eine perfekte Hotelanlage.

Am Strand und im Meer hindern Steine am angenehmen baden.

An architecturally stunning hotel, surrounded by lush greenery. The pool is very large and spacious. The beach is beautiful, the sea is calm. The beach is always very quiet. The hotel breakfast was a highlight. Absolutely everything you could think of!! Salads, cheese, fresh fruits, hot dishes, egg station, breads, pastries and dim sum. All presented beautifully and super fresh. One improvement I would make would be the coffee. An automatic machine, average coffee. I was also really looking forward to going to their beautiful cafe. The decor was gorgeous, but the lady didn’t know how to make barista quality coffee, so I only went once. The location was great. Half an hour from the ferry. Walk out the hotel and there are shops and restaurants 5 mins away and a half an hour walk to Kai Bae, where there are shops, restaurants, cafes and massage salons. I think the arrival process could also be improved, we sat at reception and had lots of paperwork to sign, which was a bit overwhelming after a long journey. It would have been better to have been greeted on the comfy chairs, with a cold tropical drink and a cold towel, with less paperwork. Yes I would recommend this gorgeous hotel.

While The Dewa Koh Chang excels in its beachfront location and striking architectural decor, our actual experience did not live up to what we expected. We paid a premium price to stay here during the low season, so we expected seamless service and pristine conditions. Instead, a severe lack of housekeeping oversight and poor organization dragged our stay down to a disappointing 3-star experience. To start, our check-in process was poorly managed. We were assured by the staff that our room would be ready for us, but it was not. We were left waiting for roughly 30 minutes just for the front desk to finalize everything and get us into the room. The most unacceptable part of the stay was the cleanliness. Even though the room had supposedly been checked and cleared for arrival, the bathtub had a repulsive smell of urine. Furthermore, opening the interior cabinets revealed a strong, distinct odor of pests. For the premium rates this hotel charges—even during the off-peak season—basic hygiene and immediate room readiness should be a given. Management needs to address these severe housekeeping failures immediately.

Waanzinnig vriendelijk personeel, spreken allemaal heel goed Engels, het ontbijt super groot en heel veel keuze zelfs het egg station met 9 verschillende bereidingen die ze voor de gasten maken, het zwembad zeer zeer groot met een pool bar met 2 happy hours, een connectie met het strand met bar en restaurant. Een topper.!

Iets meer kastruimte zou gemakkelijker zijn om de inhoud van je koffer in op te bergen, geen schabben in de kast.

Prachtig resort met super vriendelijk personeel iedereen lacht en wil je goed van dienst zijn van schoonmaker tot manager

Была в отеле третий раз. Стильный отельчик небольшой, мне очень нравятся номера. Жила в Вилле и гранд вилле. Есть хороший балкон, внутренний дворик с фортаном, прудиком и рыбками. Очень приятное постельное белье, халаты. Все довольно новое, чистое. Не понимаю кто пишет про уставшие номера, у меня все три раза было все свежее и особо не к чему придраться. Приятные завтраки, отдельное спасибо за хороший кофе. На пляже достаточно шезлонгов, есть густая хорошая тень. Убирают номера хорошо. Персонал вежливый, все что просишь делается быстро. Неплохой массаж.

Не понравилась орущая музыка на ужинах. Живая, пели, ощущение что изо всех сил пытались что-то перекричать. Когда ужин на пляже, на берегу, хочется слышать шум волн, пение цикад, а не плохо исполняемую орущую музыку. В этом году на пляже валялись пластиковые бутылки и другой мусор, очень неприятно. Возможно, прибивало во время прилива, но хочется чтобы пляж был чистым весь день. На Ко Чанг приезжаю за природой и спокойствием. Ранее в этом отеле не было такого. У бассейна нет тенистого места, зонтики над шезлонгами вроде есть, но они никак не спасают от активного солнца. Может стоит хоть над частью лежаков сделать какой-то навес.

Lage ist top, schöner Strand und sowohl am Strand aber auch 5 min zur Strasse gibt es Shops und Restaurants. Roller kann in Hotel einfach gemietet werden. Frühstück ist top. Hotel ist ruhig und gepflegt. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Mag es nicht wenn es noch Plastik-Strohalme und Wattestäbchen gibt. Finde in der heutigen Zeit sollten Hotels besser darauf achten und auf abbaubare Varianten umstellen

Great experience at the Dewa!

Überragendes Luxus Resort direkt am Strand. Der Pool ist einfach nur perfekt, die Zimmer sehr modern, aber trotzdem authentisch und stilvoll eingerichtet. Zudem ist die Lage auf Koh Chang super, um die Insel zu erkunden. Abends sind Restaurants auch fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Frühstück war auch absolut super. Absolute Empfehlung, vor allem, um einfach zu relaxen. Qualitativ ist alles sehr hochwertig. Am Strand gibt es die vielleicht schönsten Sonnenuntergänge in Thailand.

Das Hotel hat kein Gym.

I had a lovely stay at the Dewa. The location is perfect for those who don't want to be too close to the road but also want to be able to walk outside and go to 7-Eleven or other food shops. The vibe and the decor of the hotel really satisfied me. It's calm, with lots of greenery and the style of the hotel rooms and the villa houses are very pleasing. The hotel is situated at the beach with lots of sunbeds to lie down on. They also provide things like a a kayak or a subboard (for a fee) which is really fun. I enjoyed relaxing at the pool the most. The pool is 1m40 deep and quite big (for those who love swimming a few laps it's quite nice). There are also enough sunbeds and there is a pool bar. I was there almost everyday and had a lovely time reading, swimming and chatting. The breakfast offers a variety of food from Western style to Thai dishes, with changing menu's. The restaurant at the beach offers a nice view and the Thai dishes as well as the non-Thai dishes are very tasty. The staff is very kind and welcoming, and always ready to provide help. I would definitely recommend this if you like a more relaxed kind of stay, be close to the beach , but also want to do a few activities. I hope I can visit again.

We stayed here for 3 nights and we enjoy with a nice atmosphere, so peaceful and quiet hotel, excellent breakfast and friendly/helpful staffs BBQ on the beach for dinner is very tasty with superb fire show. Also, a massage on the beach is highly recommended!!

Die Bilder auf Booking.com entsprechen nicht der Realität vor Ort. Wir haben eine Villa gebucht und uns auf eine schöne Sicht in den Garten gefreut. Bei der Villa handelt es sich um ein 2-stöckiges Haus, welches die Aussicht auf einen Teich mit Kois hat. Wir waren von der Sicht entsetzt, denn wir haben explizit eine Villa gebucht um Privatsphäre zu geniessen. Jedoch haben 4 Villen die gleiche Sicht auf diesen Teich. Nirgends finden sich Fotos dieses Innenhofs, weder auf der offiziellen Seite noch auf Booking.com. Wir hätten NIE ein solches Zimmer gebucht, hätten wir dies vorher gewusst. Wer eine solche Villa-Zimmer bucht, muss sich darüber in klaren sein, dass hier jeder dem anderen ins Zimmer schauen kann oder Abends wenn man schlafen möchte, andere Gäste draussen sind und man alles hört. Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist ziemlich heruntergekommen. Unser Zimmer, dass mit 66m2 auf booking.com angegeben wurde, hatte nicht mehr als 35m2. Das Zimmer war dunkel, dreckig und die Eingangstüre sowie Fenster waren defekt und kaputt. Wir haben sofort die Rezeption angerufen und diese haben alle Schäden wie auch verschiedene Tierfäkalien sowie dreckige Kissen aufgenommen. Das Hotel hat uns ein zweites Zimmer in einer Villa angeboten, diese war vom Zustand her etwas besser, jedoch hatte diese die gleiche Aussicht. Wir haben uns dann entschieden nach ein paar Stunden das Hotel wieder zu verlassen. Wir haben viel Geld verloren, jedoch wollten wir nicht unser Resturlaub dort verbringen. Wer dieses Hotel bzw. das Villa-Zimmer bucht, muss sich darauf im klaren sein, dass die Zimmer dunkel sind (dies muss man mögen), Tiere einfach ins Zimmer hineinkommen, keine Privatsphäre vorhanden ist und die Anlage in einem sehr schlechten Zustand ist. Die Holzböden in der Anlage sind spröde und ohne Schuhe kann man nicht auf diesen laufen. Der Strand ist gross, jedoch machte man uns beim einchecken darauf aufmerksam, dass man sich gegen Sandfliegen schützen muss.

Convenient location, friendly staff, they were a huge help with our paperwork and getting in touch with the local immigration office after our flight was canceled. Great selection and quality of massages, and the beach and the entire resort are always clean.

Yes, some parts of the hotel and the rooms are clearly not new, but that doesn't stop you from enjoying your stay.

The hotel is very old and overpriced . The rooms are obsolete and not clean . The aircon it's barely working , i had to ask for a room change at 3 am. The swimming pool its not clean . The breakfast was poor . I regret that I have not chosen the dinso hotel beside . The only positive note was the staff ehich was polite and helpful . Will never waste my money at the dewa again.

Die Villa hat eine gute Grösse, bequemes Bett und wir hatten einen guten aussicht aufs Meer. Ein super Platz für die die Sonnenuntergänge lieben!!! Das Personal war sehr freudlich und hilfsbereit. Sauberer Strand, Massage war auch gut und entspannt. Pool war auch sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war auch gut, es gibt immer frische Omelette, Spiegel ei, div. Spiesse. Beim Kaffebar war der Kaffe gut. Mit dem Roller kommt man gut von A nach B, und in paar gehminuten, trifft man auf Restaurants und ein 7 eleven.

Kaffe beim Frühstückbuffet war zu wässerig.

Breakfast area very hot, only two small ceiling fans and most the time only a standing fan. Staff explained we have no more. Breakfast was ok but for a 5 star hotel you expect a bigger variety. Coffee you can’t drink it all even had to bring my own coffee that’s unbelievable. Staff also need better training to accommodate guest.

It is not about property but there is tide at the sea. Most of the times water is too low and super warm. If you plan to have crystal clear, nice beach holiday, you might be disappointed. Also, the pool is too hot to swim. Only refreshment you can get is showers next to beach or pool. Location is a bit off. There is not so many things around. You need to walk to Kai Bae for some attractions.

Heerlijk hotel op een mooie locatie. Op wandelafstand heb je een 7/11, enkele restaurants, massagesalons en wassalon. Aanrader om lekker te eten is Mango Tree vlakbij.

Room was nice but the main problem was: - Breakfast coffee was so terrible cannot even drink it, it was disgusting honestly and it’s been like this for years! - Staff are untrained and young, they know nothing about guest service. -> No English, no knowledge I even had to get up and get the menu myself and cutlery myself multiple times. Been coming to The Dewa for around 5 years but I won’t be coming back anymore.

Sandfliegen am Strand, Frühstück "nur" bis 10.30 Uhr, keine Musik abends an der Bar, kein Sportangebot, z. B. Yoga

Das war das beste Hotel von unserer 3 Wöchigen Reise. Das Personal ist super lieb, das Frühstück der Hammer. Das Zimmer ist riesig und das Bett so bequem

Es war nicht ganz so im Zentrum, aber ma erreicht viel fußläufig

Beautiful grounds

Room tired and old ,dark and felt grotty Never any hot water and no water pressure along either side a smell occasionally from the toilet. Didn’t like the Breakfast ,orange juice was like cordial and you could tell ingredients were cheap and bland To top it off every day the fruit was covered in so many fruit flies especially the pineapple Our worst experience we had to report 3 times a smell of someone smoking cannabis in the area, whilst the staff tried to find out where it was coming from we felt they could have done more. For example putting letters through doors saying anyone caught will be removed as a deterrent , like other hotels . We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels that were better value for money.
